I took her Spring 2011 GOVT 2305, which was half class and half online. Her class has 15 quizzes, which you can give unlimited time, short questions (need to spend time to write throughly to get full marks) and 1 research paper. If you write good paper, you are good to go. She is very helpful, explains what she wants during class. I ended up A.

I took her online course and I really liked the way it was structured. For the each test she has a study guide with about 70 questions from which the 50 exam questions will be drawn. The discussion forums are easy once you get the hang of it and she gives good feedback so you know how to improve. Read the textbook and it's an easy A.

The writing intensive part wasn't that bad had to answer and response to 5 forums and points were deducted for no participation. But tests came straight from the study guides. Fairly easy.

One of my favorite professors of all time. Hybrid class is awesome, only a day of class per week although you have to write two short answer responses + a quiz each week- NO TESTS. I enjoy this class so much, I actually wish the class was longer and this is someone who wasn't interested in govt! TAKE HER! Thank you Dr Perez, you're awesome!

She was wonderful! I would love to take the class again! Super, super helpful! All you had to do was shoot her an email and she would reply within minutes! I took the hybrid class and she made it all super understandable and easy to follow along. Defiantly would recommend this class to all of my friends. It was wonderful!

Wow! I cannot convey the respect I have for this professional and helpful professor. She is organized, passionate, and clear with her subject. She makes the subject applicable for you, is often humorous, and will help you with everything. I loved her lectures, always made the maximum credit on her short and interesting papers, and the tests doable.

I took her online course and loved her.The tests can be a little difficult if you don't study long, but doing the review she gives you and reading the pages helps so much! She will help with anything and doesn't reply the typical sarcastic "your dumb" comment to you. Very positive and the discussion forums are easy! great class! 4 tests and 5 forum

The few assignments are manageable with the regular course schedule. Her study guides make the 4 tests easy. Detailed prompts make the 5 discussion forums easy to research. Studying took a few hours per week. At the end of the term when I was 5 cumulative points away from the "A" cut-off, she stuck by her no-extra-credit policy and I got a B. :>/

Professor Perez is an amazing teacher!! She responds extremely fast to emails, usually within 10 or 15 minutes. This course requires lots of memorization for the exams, so study those guides big time! The online course is tough, but if you work hard you'll succeed with flying colors. I got an A, but definitely put the work in. She's exceptional!

She is awesome! Take her for any course you can. She is easy to communicate with and is quick to respond to emails. The exams require that you do the study guides and know them well, but if you do the guides you will do fine on the tests. Do the study guides and discussion forms and you will be happy with your grade. I ended up with a A.

Took the online summer course. Tests were easy - Mostly based on the definitions highlighted throughout the book. A thorough essay response to a question was required every two weeks, with a follow up response to a classmates essay. Her syllabus and grading rubric were clear, though in dire need of a proofreader. Boring as hell, but required.

I took the DL 8 week class. I got an easy A as long as you complete her study guides you'll do good on the test. The test follow the guides completely, at the end of each test the last question usually is relating a concept learned to a current event or politician - kind of unexpected so keep up to date. She responds to emails fast.

She was awesome! Do study guides, study them (I did about 2 complete hours) and you'll do good on test. Complete discussion boards... I took 8 week DL class and got a pretty easy A. She responds quickly to emails!

She's the best teacher I've ever had at any level. Attend the lectures if you want to get an 'A.' Amazingly, she somehow she makes them interesting. She gives a lot of info not in the book. She hands out a study guide for the textbook. You don't need to read anything that is not on the study guide. Tests are about 50/50 lectures vs. text.

She will give you study guides, she gives crystal clear lectures in order for you to have the best notes to study from. she does require 4 essays but they are super short and easy. she gives the prompt. Simply AMAZING prof! Concise. Replies quickly to emails. Posts test grades usually two days after. There are four easy short essays, to which she provides the prompts at the beginning of the class. Doesn't post powerpoint slides to blackboard so you have to show up to class. As long as you show up to all classes, you'll get an A.

Professor Perez is AMAZING. She has crystal clear lectures on PowerPoint, make sure you attend class. Take good notes. 4 tests, NOT comprehensive. 50/50 notes & textbook reading. She just basically lectures, her powerpoints are just for show and you can't print them. Also you have to read the book and teach yourself, because he lectures have nothing to do with her tests. & she gives a writing prompt before every exam and half the test if free response

I took this class online. Prof Perez was extremely helpful and kind. Responded to all emails and assisted students in any way possible. there were 4 50 questions MC tests that were straightforward if you do the review (not that long either). The rest of the grade was determined by discussion posts that had very clear grading criteria.

Took her online over the summer. Great class but be prepared to study HARD for an A. Do the reviews and you will pass MC tests. Lisa is VERY HELPFUL and quick with responding to emails. Gives great feedback. Is NOT flexible with grading: you get what you get. Follow instructions, read TB, study and you will pass. Loved her class. Worked for my A!

Dr. Nichols is just amazing. She is the bomb at teaching. Wish there were more professors like her. She teaches class with a supplementary PowerPoint. She uses all the methods of learning. This class was fairly easy. The textbook was free and the professors give study guides for each exam. Know the study guide passing the test. Professor Perez-Nichols was very responsive via email and got my grades back in a timely manner. I would take another one of her classes if I needed to in the future.

I took the online class with no issues. The course objects are very clear and a layout of what will be on the test is given. A couple discussion boards and a couple tests that had to be taken at the testing center. Overall easy A.

I took her DL course and had no problem. She responded promptly to any questions or concerns that I had. My only advice would be to get ahead of the blackboard responses as she can be kind of a tough grader with regard to the responses and the last thing you would want is to be trying to do it last minute. Other than that she's a solid choice.

I took her class Spring 2018 and I did like it. Granted, social studies is my weakest/least favourite subject, but it was... fun. I did start out poorly, making Cs & Bs, but ended the semester with a 92 on the exam. I recommend you take Lisas Government if it has been a challenge in the past. Not the easiest, but if you do the work, youll pass!

The tests were super easy and all of the questions were based off the study guide. The discussion posts and responses are an easy 100 if you put some effort and go by the rubric/sample she provides.

Favorite professor thus far, I regret taking her class in the morning because her lectures were usually interesting and occasionally funny. She had so much energy even in the morning and is inspiring. Highly recommend her.

Professor Perez is an amazing teacher! Her lectures are full of info & she tells you plainly what will be on the tests. Reading the textbook is a big thing because not everything is in the lectures. Theres honestly not that much reading in the text book. Great feedback & awesome energy. And always very helpful in and out of the classroom!

She is by far the best professor at ACC. She understands a students plight and tries her best to work around it. Her lectures are easy to follow and the tests are really easy.

She is amazing. Not a single complaint. Homework is manageable. Syllabus is very clear and explains exactly what she does. No loop holes. Her class are entertaining, easy to follow and easy to study. If you use her study guide and notes, the test are easy; she emails back quick and holds her office hrs.

Took class online. Test were straightforward. The discussion boards had us writing on all sorts of topics that do tie into the readings. I found them interesting.

Professor Perez is great. She once did a lecture around the quote "spun on a dime." Then we had to because of Covid. She organized it all and had us going online quickly. She even followed up when I got booted out of my dorm because of virus. I am thankful for her help.

She is one of the best professors I have had so far. She is very prompt in answering questions and will help you with assignments till you get it right. Corrects multiple drafts of the essay. Her assignments are usually straight forward but they will get you thinking and put you to work.

Took the asynchronous class. I accidentally overslept an exam deadline, and she allowed me to take the test afterwards. Discussion prompt deadlines are strict, however. Gives good feedback on discussions. Do the study guide reviews for the exams and you should do well! I'd recommend creating a group chat for the class. Wonderful teacher overall! :)

Class taken- 8 week course in Fall'21 semester. The class expectations are very straight forward. She has 4 exams and 4 Discussion posts that are required. She provides you with study guides and so long as you complete them before the test, you should do well on the exams. I forgot to complete a discussion post, which is why I received a B+.

Professor Perez-Nichols was an excellent government teacher! She made expectations regarding grading quite clear, and gave amazing feedback for the required papers (written assignments). This class had a very nice balance of written assignments and multiple-choice tests, and together provided a nice learning experience.

Ms. Perez is incredibly easy to talk to and work with. I'm a high school student taking multiple APs with not much time on my hands, it was easy for me to slip up. Took her 5-week summer course, was extremely easy and had such ample time to do so little of assignments it was kind of crazy. Graded by minimal amount of assignments: video quizzes, packback disscusions, and 4 exams (MC). The discussions took more time to do, but were easy. Take this if you want a chill US Gov class.

This online GOVT class was clearly laid out. It made it easy to know what to do. The videos were current and I liked interacting with my class on different topics in the posts. Responsive Prof and I would take this class again.

I took her US Government class for this summer's semester. There's an online textbook, so you have to be prepared for reading before taking exams and to stay on topic with discussions. She gives amazing feedback on discussions and I'd take her class again because it was fun posting my discussions.

Professor was very easy to work with, No lockdown browser, fully open note, heres the schedule: So you have a video assignment, then something called packback (1 response to a discussion question and 2 responses to other peoples responses in the board), and then the module exam, only 4 of these.

Honestly probably one of the best professors she's very funny and very knowledgeable I would say take good notes. Get there on time she will say what she went over the last lecture and use that to study most likely it will be on the test.
