Her class has been easy so far. It's easy to keep up on, and she is nice about conflicts. Essays have a lot of freedom in regards to topic, weekly questions are easy to answer, quizes are open book, no tests! Easy to get a hold of online.

She is very nice and you can tell that she absolutly loves teaching English. So far this is an expirimental class (sierra hasnt had Eng 11 for a while or something like that), so we are having a lot of fun. Small class size helps us all get to know eacho

She is very liberal and at times allows her opinions to come out on the subject. Always willing to help you in your class needs. The labs were very easy as long as you applied yourself each day. Pro. Rochford didn't require an MLA format. She is not as strict as other English professors that assume you know how to write a thesis already.

Great instructor, I learned alot during the semester, she is very fair with everyone,the only draw where the labs, they were very boring, but other than that she is a good techer.

Lisa is so cool and understanding. She clearly informs her students and helps them through every step of her classes. She has lots of patients for her students. You can always get a hold of her email or phone shes a helpful teacher that teches her students helpful hints that will be helpful in college and LIFE.

She is a very understanding teacher and will take time to make sure you understand if your having trouble. There is a lot of reading and projects to do but if you stay on top you'll be sure to have an A, easily.

Professor Rochford is an Excellent instructor. She has high expectations of her students because she wants to see them excel and be prepared for the next phase of their educational journey. I truly enjoyed her class, she also has a great sense of humor. Just remember RESPECT ~Keep your Cell phones turned off when you enter her class and No Texting.

Prof. Rochford is amazing. I've never had a college prof. that cared so much about her students. She really wants her students to learn. She is always willing to help, and explains everything very well. By far one of the best teachers I've ever had throughout my entire education!

She has a very strange sense of humor in the first couple weeks of class. But she's a very good teacher. Very helpful. The class isn't that difficult if you keep up. Lab always seemed like a lot of work, but maybe that's just me. Overall I'm happy I took the class, it helped me study better for other subjects and prepared me for my writing classes.

Love her! Lisa is very helpful and easy to understand. I definitely recommend taking anyone of her courses. I will always take her English class when I have the chance!

I would deferentially recommend this professor. I took her two classes Engl 1A and online class Engl 11. It was easy and interesting. Just do homework on time and all assignments she gives, and you are supposed to get A or B. Lisa is one of really kind people. Love her lectures.

Lisa is no doubt very smart and passionate teacher. She really cares about her students and is very approachable. She's got a quirky sense of humor and is a little scatter brain. She is a teacher that's not used to teaching 1a so I felt like the class was way too easy ! There are four papers based on a textbook. Do well on those and you will have a very easy A

I LOVE THIS TEACHER! She is so understanding of life situations and truly wants her students to succeed. I struggle so much with English and for the first time I feel like I ACTUALLY got better at writing! If you treat her with respect she will return it to you. DEFINITELY take her! She's a wonderful teacher and person!

This class was not hard.You have to just figure out the pattern from first essay.Later, everything will be the same.The teacher is not strict, and she is good with grading

Great professor.

Mrs. Rochford is an okay teacher. I had her for English N and passed with an A- but trust me she made me work for it. Her grading depends on how hard you try. Attendance is a huge factor for your grade. She gives the class a 15 minute break which is very much needed for this 6 unit class.

If it wasn't for Lisa really taking the time out to help us this semester on our writing, we wouldn't be able to write as well as we do today. She really cares And prepares you for college level writing.

She is very nice and helpful. Whenever you need some help she is the one you can always count on. Very kind and polite. She makes you work for your grade but you will enjoy it. She is not picky on how correct you are in the assignments she just wants to see you are working for your grade. A is yours just if you do your assignments on time.

Took her English 50 lab. it was pretty straightforward the pieces I didn't know I would just wing it and pass with a passing grade. She is unorganized but that's a pro for me bc it makes the class seem less strict. I never really like to talk to teachers but she was really nice when I had to talk to her. Had to pick a novel to read.

very sweet & nice. a bit unorganized. Due dates are scattered all over the place. if you get confused on these dates she doesn't hold it against you. She understands she is scattered& gives you time to correct yourself. Lectures are sometimes off topic still intriguing. You will read 2 books a semester. Discussions, quizzes, & annotations weekly.

Unorganized but it makes it kinda easy . Grading is easy . Super sweet and caring . I'm a pretty quiet students but she knows me by name so she actually knows her students . I took her fir a lab do your work and you won't have homework and you will pass . Easy class. I would take her for all my English classes

Fun class! Getting to pick our own book was great. Professor Rochford kept it interesting. A bit scatterbrained, but really understanding, and she gave good direction when asked for help. Canvas platform was touch and go at first, but resolved quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Lisa Rochford was the very first professor I had and she was absolutely amazing. Yes, there were a substantial amount of essays but she really loved to help and didn't mind staying back to provide the constructive criticism you needed. I did also take this class over the summer which is much harder because things are crammed. Super great teacher

Great, easy professor! I took her online ENGL 11 class and it was by far one of the best classes. There are at least two books that you have to read besides the text, but she gives you a choice as to which ones you can read. As long as you keep up with the readings, its and Easy A!

Best English teacher I've ever had. Very helpful, caring, responsive. Takes all of her time to help everyone. Wish I could have her every class!! Took over summer, loved it!

Professor Rochford is so understanding and a wonderful teacher. She was always there, even if it takes her a bit to reply. When I wanted to drop out of college, she told me not to give up. She gave me good reading material to keep up my reading as my own personal project and she motivated me to keep going. If you see this professor, thank you.

The professor was pretty great. Hard to reach a few times, but as long as you can follow directions and problem solve and use your best judgement when necessary, you should be fine. Fun assignments and great reading material.

First, this online class was kinda hard for me, but then professor helped me a lot. Sometimes there are strange things happenong in canvas, but she always tells you about it and what to do. She is a very kind and always understand you.

This Professor is an absolute GEM! Her course it pretty easy to pass. You do the work, you'll get the credit. She has due dates, however, she understands that online learning/distance learning due to the times isn't ideal. She is incredibly understanding, and will grade you honestly when you're able to get the work in. I would recommend her. 11/10

Great teacher, shes definitely one of the best professors Ive met. Shes very friendly and nice, ask questions and study your best. Theres a lot of reading, but its expected for this class. Shes very funny though and its absolutely worth to take her class, she responds to emails pretty fast:)

Professor Rochford is a great English teacher who really does care for her students. Make sure you stay on top on your assignments. Not much reading but you will be doing a lot of writing. 3 essays. You will also choose a book to read like half way in the semester. Choose Just Mercy!

Pretty easy class for the most part and Professor Rochford's assignments made sense for the most part. The thing is that she never responds to emails. I had a friend transfer into the class late and she welcomed him in with an email but when he responded about what the due dates where on assignments she never responded. Overall not a bad class.

Professor Rochford was an overall good professor she gave us her phone number so we could text her when we had questions, but I got grounded and got my phone taken away, so my email was my only option left to ask her questions, but when I emailed her she would barely respond to my emails, but overall she was a good professor.

Overall I think she was a good professor but it does take her a while to respond to canvas messages/emails. I took the 8 week course and the reading/research papers were not too difficult but the class was very fast paced.
