Sargese is cool as hell. There are take home quizzes, no exams, loads of extra credit, and one easy group presentation. Sounds like a lot, but it isnt. The final exam question was: What grade do you think you deserve and why?

very easy. barely any work, she is a student also so she understands how much work you will have from other professors and she doesn't give you much. very nice, class consists mostly of discussions. exams are very easy she tells you all the answers before the test and offers a ton of extra credit on the slim chance that you won't get an A

Very easy. Quizzes are online and have no due dates. Exams are take home. Based somewhat on textbook, but mostly notes and common sense! I'm still in this class, but I just have to say that Professor Sargese is the most motivated and inspirational person I have ever met. I don't even need this class but I took it because people told me she was incredible.. and it's true!

I marked 'attendance mandatory' because if you are enrolled in this class you will never want to miss a day. How many classes can you say that about? I would suggest taking this class before you graduate even if you don't need to, just so you can experience how a class should be taught. She is the best teacher at MSU and an even better person.

BEST PROFESSOR AT MSU. Yes, shes very easy because she wants you to learn NOT MEMORIZE. Theres 3 online quizzes which she gives you the page number for each answer. There's an easy in class essay for the final. You watch a lot of interesting and funny videos everyday in class. She does take attendance, but you will want to go to class.

Lisa is an AMAZING beautiful person. Like everyone else says, she does take attendance, but you want to go to class anyway. She's such a sweetheart... the tests are very easy, but you learn a lot. I took Professor Sargese over the summer and her class was TOO easy. 10 open book quizzes, 10 short discussion board responses to youtube videos (easy!), and an open book final. Despite the open book exams, I feel like I learned tons about religion. She always responded to emails. I got an A which is not hard to get at all.

It is 2 and a half hours long, but she does make it interesting! She's funny and she ties in videos and movie clips that give you a better understanding of the topics discussed. No midterm, but there is a final. The quizzes are online so you should get the textbook. If you do the work, you should get an A. She also offers extra credit.

Took this class my first semester at Montclair, not first semester of college. Course is laid out in chapters. Get the book. Quizes range from 10-20 questions each week and are online. Very fair grading with lots of extra credit opportunities. Take-home final. Highly recommend this professor!

Professor Sargese is my favorite professor at MSU. Even though her class is long, she makes the class/lectures interesting so time goes fast. Every night after class she gives extra help opportunities. Attendance is mandatory so please go and there are small in-class papers needs to be handed in. I would definitely love to have her again.

Professor Sargese is by far the best professor at MSU. Just follow her instructions and you be ok. Her lectures is not boring and her tests are not hard if you study. If you need extra credit to boost your grade then take her after class which is fun and motivating too.

I took this as an online winter class. The professor is very clear with what she expects from students. As long as you pace yourself and put in a little effort, it is an easy A. She also answers texts from her students super fast and is very helpful. I would definitely take again!

BEST TEACHER EVER. She is so understanding if you are absent, just shoot her and email. I hate lectures but she brought in people to class to teach us meditation, relaxation and other awesome stuff to help us relate. She even went to the diner after class with us! Easy class, but informative and FUN! I wish i could take it again.

This was my favorite class this semester. I loved this professor because she is laid back and understands all of her students. Get ready to watch some great videos throughout the class! She's very down to earth and an easy A! Quizzes are open book so get the book! Do what you gotta do and you'll pass :)

I took this class because it was required and I do not regret it at all! AMAZING PROFESSOR. I enjoyed going to class because it was such a positive environment. I loved how motivational she is. There is one quiz a week due on canvas, and it is very easy and straight forward if you have the book. I 100% recommend you to take this class!! EASY A!!!!!

Amazing teacher and person. Starts off scary with strict attendance and in class rules, but worth it given the easiness and experiences you'll have in her class.

Want an easy A? No problem! It's easy alright, you just have to work for it! Lisa was really sweet, and responded to texts very fast. If you can read, you will get an A. I would not recommend saving the work until the last minute, so pace yourself. Her youtube vids are inspiring.

Lisa ALWAYS made class interesting! I loved how she brought people from the outside in ( meditation, teaching etc.) She is one of the most understanding unbiased professors about teaching religion and open about pretty much EVERYTHING! Wish i could retake her class!

Prof Lisa is flat out amazing. You have to take her class and you can't miss out on it. She is really funny and inspirational. Her lectures include a bunch of videos that just make you laugh and also think about your life. I would totally take her class again!

only class I actually looked forward to every week. it was such a relaxing class to go to at the end of the day and I just completely loved her class. she is such a great person and I wish I had more requirement courses to take with her. plus having all the quizzes online made it such an easy A class. definitely take it!!!!

Took online course this winter, not bad at all! Everything is on canvas- quizzes, short essays based on readings/videos, and a final. Workload is manageable, all 'do at your own pace' which is great-I finished early! She also responds quickly to texts if you have questions. Great professor and a great way to get 3 credits over winter break.

Lisa is such a genuine person she treats all her students like they were her own kids. Please take her!!! She's so funny and always there for students both in and out of the classroom. Wish she taught every subject :(

Professor Lisa is amazing. One of the best professor at MSU Hands down. The class was super interesting and actually made me want to go to class. I would definitely recommend to take her.

When I signed up for this class, I thought it was just going to be another boring GenEd requirement. But it was life-changing! Prof Lisa keeps students entertained with her jokes and cool videos. She's sweet and genuinely cares about everyone! I consider myself to be pretty open-minded already, but she inspired me ten times more! Love her!!

Professor Sargese is amazing. Took her online class over the summer. There was a decent amount of work involved (both quizzes and writing) but nothing was impossible and she gives great feedback and help if needed. Taking the quizzes with the text in front of you is a must. Her grading is very fair and workload is doable but be prepared to work.

TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER! She only makes attendance mandatory for the first 5 classes, then the rest you don't even have to go to! All you do in the semester are weekly quizzes that are straight from the book. SO easy. One of the easiest gen eds I've ever taken. Plus she is really inspirational & her lectures give you hope in life lol. I recommend

Honestly the best professor I've had so far. I always looked forward to her class. She made it so fun and inspiring. I wasn't sure what to expect from this class, but she made it my favorite. I loved it, and I would love to take another class with her in the future.

Professor Sargese is not only an amazing teacher but also an amazing person. She is extremely kind and caring. She lectures with powerpoints but does not read directly from them. More of a discussion. She breaks up the discussion with relevant videos. Class is inspiring and teaches many life lessons. I would take her again in a heartbeat!

Literally the greatest professor at this university

This online class was super easy, as long as you have the textbook you will get an A. A reasonable amount of writing but completely doable! prof. Sargese is also very understanding when it comes to submitting things late but as long as you let her know there should be no issue. Discussion posts are interesting and quizzes are extremely easy

she is by far the best professor I've had. she is so inspirational and is there to help you succeed and be less stressed about school. all assignments she reads and gives great feedback and comments on. wish this class was more often than once a week!

She is one of the best professors I've had at MSU! She is so inspirational and positive. I feel she really cares about her students. If I could I would take her class again or any classes she teaches in a heartbeat. Going to miss her!! Work load was easy and manageable actually liked the essays I had to write for her class very thought provoking.

She is an amazing professor---quizzes are easy, you just need to get the book to look up the answers. The final and midterm are also very easy, and for the final essays, she gives you several prompts and you need to write 2-page essays for 4 of the prompts. Although, that may seem like a lot, you seriously don't even need to try--just do the work.

Easy quizzes each week and she is a great lecturer on religion and philosophy. Do the work and you will do great. There is nothing better than a professor that actually cares about her students, connects with them, and passionate about what she teaches. Clearly, she has a lot of wisdom when it comes to religion, philosophy, and power of the mind.

Such an understanding professor so she doesn't give large amounts of homework and is willing to help any time of the day. You don't have to buy the textbook but if you do there are a few times it will be helpful to you. As long as you show up, do the work, and participate you'll pass

Professor Sargese is a really nice and caring person. You can tell she's passionate about what she teaches. Her class is so easy. You're graded by a weekly quiz, sometimes a short essay, you take at home that's super easy. No tests no projects no midterm. The final you take home and have a week to do. She always ends class early. Take her!!

honestly one of the best professor ive ever taken, she genuinely cares about everyone. she understands that this is not you're only class. very flexible. weekly quizzes and easy 3 paragraph essays. final that's take home, mc, and have a whole week to do it. if you need to fulfill a credit take her!!!! just overall a great human and professor

The textbook is free. Her lectures are boring and long, but she lets us go early sometimes because she is usually ahead of schedule. My only gripe with this class is she does not let you use any electronics throughout her lectures which only exacerbates the boredom and she ensures you don't use a device. This course fulfills the GEF2 requirement.
