for the first three weeks, it was the easiest class i have ever taken. However, the following weeks it progressively got harder and it didnt help that Lisa didnt know half of her notes. That's... yeah.

Miss Savy was extremely helpful. She posted notes on the class website before every class so that we could print them out and bring them in. All homework was done on MyMathLab which I really like. She also put practice quizzes and practice exams on MyMathLab which really helped. I was never confident about math until I took this class.

Professor Savy is geat! She helps out in any way possible. She does not rush the class. She is quick to respond to emails. Her quizzes and exams are extremely similar to her practice ones she provides on mymathlab. I definitely recommend her.

I love this teacher! I'm horrible at math, but her concepts and the way she teaches is great! Homework is mandatory, and she does give attendance points. She doesn't grade harshly on her exams, she gives you credit for work shown even if you miss the question!

Professor Savy is definitly one of the best math teachers I have had so far. She goes out of her way to make you succed in her class. You really have to try to fail because she gives you practice quizes, midterm, and final exam, which are close to her real exams. She is also very good at breaking problems down and making sure you understanding it.

I took Ms. Savy for Math 124/Math 96. She was always prepared for class and very helpful. She was available during her office hours for help. She would also come to class early to help. We did not use the book. She wanted everyone to do well. She also gave points for attendance/participation. I definitely recommend this teacher for Math.

All homework is online. everything is to be due in 5-7 days from post. only thing i hae to complain is that the review quizzes online are sometimes posted late and you only have about two days to review it during the week.

Assignments are due weekly and are super easy to do. Quizzes and tests are breezy as well, we have a practice quiz before with examples to help us complete it, and we can bring a flash card full of helpful stuff to all our tests and what not. It is real easy to pass this class. She is super sweet and helpful and real chill.

Amazing. Her lectures break the down steps to problems in a way that even the worst people at math can understand. All homework is done on Thinkwell (way better than MyMath Lab *shudders*), and the exams have the exact same problems the practice tests do. Strongly considering taking her for MATH127 sometime next year.

The nicest professor I've ever had. She makes it easy to get an A in her class. Practice tests are exactly like the real tests which makes them extremely easy plus she allows you to use a notecard every quiztest. GREATLY RECOMMEND TAKING HER YOU WON'T REGRET IT. The textbook in this class is optional. As long as you show up and pay attention to the lectures, you will receive a good grade. She explains everything quite clear, and she goes over the homework from the previous night to make sure that everyone is on the same pace. Print out the notes before each class because they are extremely helpful.

Lisa Savy is an excellent math teacher! Miss Savy offers notes before every class she always asks if anyone has any questions regarding the homework from last class. Homework online, very fair grader, gives partial credit on exams so show your work on exams. Can use calc and 4x6 note card on exams except the first one. Get points for showing up!

She was amazing. I thought math126 was going to be hard, but she explained the material very well and always went over the next class. She goes over the homework everyday. She's pretty silly, but super enthusiastic about math. She always gives help to those who ask. One of the best teachers I have ever had for math.

Definitely glad I took her class. She was great. Lots of homework but it's more practice for you for quizzes. She helps you understand the material if you aren't getting it. Math isn't my best subject but she definitely made it less difficult.

What more can I say? She is awesome! I took this class three times before with Wong and McDonald and failed. They are horrible. But Miss Savy walks you through every step of the way! Her grading scale is fair. Provides you with a study guide, and study guide reflects whats on the test. two tough quizzes, and one mid and final. You won't regret it!

Great class! Weekly homework assignments, few quizzes and a final. Quizzes and final is all given with a practice test that is based directly from the quizzes on MyMathLab.

Just go to class and do the homework and the tests will be a breeze.

She is great and if you ask for help it is there. She even has notes that are basically worksheets which makes following her in class much easier.

She's helpful by giving worksheets that you have to print out every class and follow along, but Ms. Savy is frowned of question while she is talking. keep updated often with CANVAS because she throws in unexpected work including the assignment required. only used the book once for Math 104b. Would recommend if your ready to stay busy.

She's very helpful. The class itself is easy. All assignments are on my math lab. On quizzes and tests, you can use a flash card. She gives you a practice quiz/test before hand. The questions are the EXACT same as the practice one, just different numbers. I suggest to write every problem and with the steps (on how to get the answer) on your card.

I took Lisa for 3 math classes. Before her, I was terrified of any math class. Shes one of those teachers who can teach you how to do the same problem many different ways. This is great because everyone learns differently and one method may work better for you. My advice, do the homework. Do the practice test/quizzes twice. You'll ace the class.

Ms. Savy is such an amazing teacher! I use to have trouble with math but once I took her class not only did I stop seeing math as a threat, BUT I learned so much and received a good grade. I took this professor for Math 95. She was great with that class, grading was clear cut and she was always willing to help. Can use an index card on tests to help remember formulas. Went to her for help on upper level math classes, she went out of her way to help me, even though I wasn't her student any longer. Take this professor!

Miss Savy is honestly fantastic. She gives weekly homework through MyMathLab, and answers whatever homework questions there are at the start of class. She gives a few quizzes/tests, but always tells you ahead of time and lets you use a 4x6 notecard. In addition, she has pre-typed notes online to print before each class. Very consistent!!!!

DO the online homework because the problems on her quizzes & exams are IDENTICAL to the homework problems. You must put in long hours into doing the homework but you won't regret it come exam/quiz days. She makes it possible for "D"/"C" math students, like me, to succeed in 181. Professor Savy is SUCH an amazing math professor! Let me tell you, I have never received an A in ANY other math class until I took her!!! I'm taking her again next semester for Math 181. DO THE HOMEWORK ON MY MATHLAB!! The test questions are super similar those questions. She's awesome!!!

She gives you fill-in notes that you print out before class and complete with her. It makes the class very easy to follow and it gives you extra time to make little notes for yourself on the side instead of trying to catch up on drawing out the graphs and such. Her tests are pretty tough, and you need to have access to internet for homework!!

Great teacher, MyMathLab(MML, required) also a great program. Attendance is easy way to get points, but covers a lot of material you need for the homework in MML. Print the lessons before class! It'll make class much easier and will give a better reference when doing MML homework. Tests cover a broad variety of class materials, but not too hard.

Great teacher makes sure you understand. Gives out guided notes which is a real plus because most teachers don't. I personally took handwritten notes and did great. Lecture is mandatory because without the notes you'll be lost. Really cares about students, gives partial credit.

I was intimidated of pre calc, but Professor Savy made it so easy! I've had to drop out of Math127 in the past but this time around, i passed with a B+. All the hw is done through mymathlab and she makes the exams fair. You can even print the notes for each section. Definitely take her!!!

I wish I had take her in previous classes! Notes are online to be printed, and you follow her along with lectures. She helps if you don't understand something. HW's due every Tuesday at midnight so don't procrastinate! 2 tests plus a midterm and final. She puts a review for tests that are mandatory, and it really helps in knowing what to expect!

3 exams, 1 cumulative final,attendance, and homework are all part of your grade. Do the homework's and the provided study guides for the exams. Study out of class, ask her questions if you are lost. This class isn't an easy A no matter what professor you pick. But I do think you should take her, shes great. Don't slack, this is college.

Lisa genuinely cares for her class. She is patient and soft spoken and clearly goes over all coursework. If you don't understand, just ask. she happily will explain again or in a different manner to make sure you get it. She has truly enjoyable lectures, and the way she structures her notes and online homework, makes the material so much easier.

She is a good teacher, especially when you don't understand the material. She is easily approachable. However, her exams are hard. I did every assignment and study guide and most of the time it will help you with your exam but sometimes not. Also be sure to get to class on time. She will mark 1/2 points if you are even less than 3 minutes late.

She provides skeletal notes for the class to print out so you can follow along with her lectures. The class is hard but it is to be expected from a Calc III class. She provides a practice test a week online a week before the actual exam. An online access code is required to do the homework on MyLab Math. Her final is cumulative, so study hard.

She cares about her students. Math 181 is a hard class but it is very possible to get an A in her class. The class has 3 tests and 1 exam. A very east extra credit assignment gives 10% to lowest test grade if you do all the homework.

She's a great professor. She has guided notes for her lectures that are available at the beginning of the week. So just make sure you print them at the beginning of the week! The textbook isn't a requirement. On MyMathLab, there is already an eTextbook. It helps to do extra problems besides the homework. I would like to take her class again.

I would definitely recommend professor Savy to students who are not very good at math. She explains everything very carefully and makes sure that students understand the material. She gives partial credit to students on their tests and will give the class a practice test a week before the test, which is very helpful.

Does homework on mymathlab which is very easy to understand and you have plenty of time to complete. 4 tests including the final which have practice tests and you can use a calculator and a notecard.

Savy was amazing. Notes were print out and fill in the blank, there were 2 tests and a final. 3 tests in total. Very nice grading scale (89 was an a, 79 is a b, 69 is a c, etc). Offers partial credit and lots of extra credit on tests. Would highly recommend.

Professor Savy is an amazing teacher, I never thought you could say that about an online teacher, she always responds to emails, and helps you in whatever you need. There is homework every week, but as long as you read the book, understand the material and do homwk U will be fine, professor Savy test once a month but allowed us to have a notecard.

I took her 6-week summer course, and I have to say, it was not that hard. There was about 2-4 assignments a week along with a short test once a week. Overall, great teacher. As someone who struggles with math, Professor Savy helped me understand the material and I was able to get a good grade. She answers all questions and gives partial credit if you show work on the tests even if you get the wrong answer. The 8-week class was not too hard to keep up with. Will be taking her again for math 181.

I am certain that Lisa Savy is an amazing professor here at CSN. However, my qualm lies with her NEW implementation of GRADED Python Assignments, in light of our current circumstances with COVID-19. This is particularly upsetting, as it adds extra UNECCESSARY work. This is supposed to be a Calculus 3 course, not a programming course.

She's very nice. Pre-Calc isn't easy for me but she makes it easier. She has 3 tests and a final. The homework is twice a week and is chill.

Savy has been the best math teacher I've ever had. She's very sweet and caring and wants to make sure you understand the material so don't be afraid to ask questions. Precalc is hard as it is but her way of teaching makes it a bit easier. Theres tons of hw on MML and 3 test + final exam. The tests are open notes (which are print out). Recommended.

Professor Savy is engaging and always willing to help. She does a good job explaining complicated concepts. There's quite some homework to complete, usually one to two assignments due twice every week (Tue and Sat) via an online platform (MyMathLab). There are three tests throughout the semester and a comprehensive final at the end.

Professor Savy is a very nice professor. She doesn't teach from the book. However, because she doesn't teach from the book, some of the way to do the problems doesn't match up with the way MyMathLab wants you to enter, so you have to reteach yourself using their examples. Tests are open booked and you have three hours to complete it.

Genuinely wants to help, so reach out & go to office hours. Sometimes My Math Lab HW was too much, but overall it helped me understand more. You don't need the book unless you really want to read more in depth. She records lectures & posts to Canvas. Provides notes to follow along & fill in. Some test questions come directly from notes & homework.

Professor Savy is a good calculus professor. She does teach very slow so the schedule in the syllabus isn't accurate by mid-semester. She is accessible out of class and she's a very caring person to people who care about their grades. Don't try to cheat because it's an online class. She will know if you used a math app and will give you a 0.

Her online lectures are very helpful, she explains all the problems very well so make sure you watch or attend her Zoom classes. She also gives lots of extra credit opportunities. We did most of our works on MyMathLab so textbook purchasing won't be necessary since most of the information already covered during her lecture. Do work & you will pass!

Lisa Savy is one of the best math professors I have had. She gives handouts for you to fill in as you go along the lecture and each class you attend she gives the opportunity to get 5 extra credit point just by showing up to class and taking notes. There is 3 exams, the final, and homework. You have to work for your grade, it is a calculus class.

Worst instructor ever, in my opinion. She seems unconcerned about her students and refuses to assist them. She let me retake an exam and never graded it, who does that? not recommended.

Professor Savy is one of the most compassionate and understanding professors I have ever had. The amount of understanding and leniency she has is quite amazing. In Math 181, you will have a lot of homework. This class requires a lot of work and effort, so as long as you go to class and take notes, you should be good to understand the material.

Professor Savy does not give out As, you have to work for it! This was my 2nd time taking this course and she did such an amazing job! Her lectures are very straightforward and she is accessible through email and office hours. Her tests are long, but they are doable if you participate in lecture and practice on your own time.

Grateful to have Prof. Savy for MATH124. Very accessible & answers any questions in a timely manner. I was having so much hard time at first & even thought of dropping the class. Great professor that gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. The tests are pretty similar to what is taught in lecture, and the lecture shows you how to do the homework, which is directly related to the tests. The homework is otherwise easy, though, as each question has no limit to how many times it can be answered to receive full credit.

Professor Savy prepared note outlines and recorded video lessons. Whenever I emailed her with a question, she wrote out all the steps. For each test, she provided feedback on why she was deducting points (you have to show your work). She also made up extra credit Python programming assignments which were pretty easy to follow along.

She provides organized lecture materials and the homework is done online which is nice. The exams are tougher than average but not outside the range of the harder homework questions. It's a material dense course which builds up week to week so falling behind will cost you. I believe she even offers extra credit which is rare for math classes.

Professor Savy, now Professor Kauffman, was an amazing professor. I've never had a real big struggle with math, but the way she explained everything, it made complete sense. She is an amazing professor and will help you on any problems that you need help with. She uses a website called MyMathLab, and this program maks learning 10 times easier.

Online class format was hit & miss- doing good/great on assignments was insufficient prep for 3 tests+final. Course pace difficult to keep up. Notes outlines w/ video lectures inadequate instruction for course material. ProctorU took over 1 hour to begin my final, overall class average on final was F. No choice but to retake same class in summer.

I took her 126 and 127 class and passed with an A+. There are 2 hw assignments a week and 4 tests which are not bad. She provides a practice final which is very similar to the final. If you have any issues with your work, just email her and she will respond and help. She provides video lectures with notes to help you with the hw and tests.

She's a great professor. She's quick to respond over email, provides helpful lectures and notes, and has plenty of extra credit opportunities. Each week she has note pdfs and the corresponding videos posted, 2 homeworks a week, along with 4 tests. These videos contain everything you need to go through My Lab Math and get 100% on your homework.

I took 126E, where attendance was mandatory. Her lectures are very easy to follow and she is very patient in teaching, making sure everyone in the class understands the material. She tells students to practice the material daily so the material will stay fresh. She sets students up for success. Would take again.

This class can be challenging, but Professor Savy provides helpful resources like video lectures and feedback. Combining those with tools like Unstuckstudy can make studying more manageable. Overall, it's a difficult but rewarding course if you're willing to put in the work.

2 lectures every week plus homework, one due on Wednesday and the other due on Sunday. 3 tests total and a final exam. 100% recommend if you're taking calc, she explains everything very clearly. If you do all the work assigned you won't have a problem with the tests.

Prof Kauffman (formerly Savy) is my absolute goat. I took a Zoom class, so be ready to participate (she calls on you based on attendance). Homework is very manageable and due every Wed & Sat. Prof Kauffman is extremely patient with all her students and will help you any time. 3 tests, 1 final, and extra credit opportunities. P.S. U got this!
