Lisa is a nice lady. Exams aren't too difficult. Alot of people did complain about her teaching methods but I thought she was a good teacher. You're allowed to drop an exam, two quizzes and she curves all of the exams. What more do you need. She does do alot of group activities. You have to sit with certain people the whole semester.

Worst teacher I have ever had. If I could give her a 0 I would. Assigns homework that we have not covered in class. Says tests will be in a certain format and are not. When you go to review sessions she gets angry when you ask for examples, because she does not have any prepared. The only reason I am doing well in this class is because of my T.A.

Unless you are a math person, this class is very difficult. Dr. Sharpe-Elles is a nice enough person, but the curriculum is poor--only out of class hw is through Mastering Chemistry which is an awful system--it does NOT walk you through problems, show examples, or link you to help in the text. As a non-traditional student who hasn't touched chem almost a decade, it was a gut-punch. If you're not proficient at math and understand basic chem then use the resources offered. There are tons she makes available like a week 0 tab that reviews basic chem concepts and SI sessions to review new formulas. Good luck.

Cannot teach for the life of her. Wastes all our time in class treating us like babies and doing simple equations then tests us on things 10x harder than what we go over in class. Passive aggressive and unaccommodating to students. None of her exam reviews are anything remotely like the exams. Doesn't tell the TA's anything so they're useless also.

She is confusing when it comes to lecture. She doesn't explain things she basically makes you do the work with other people around you. The practice exams she provides isn't like the actual exam.
