Amazing prof. start of the semester she may seem rude and bored but she isnt. she doesnt utilize her email. She shows documentaries each week but seeing real live experiences has a major effect on learning corrections. Amazing Fantastic, hands down without any doubt the best edition to John Jay college. She is the real deal and explain everything a million times so everyone can do very well in class. Her test are not hard, every detail she says in class will be on the test. In addition, she gives reviews and give you 10 questions that will be on the the test.

First off let me say Professor Teich is such an awesome professor & one of the best at John Jay for law courses. I took her for Law 301- Jurisprudence, which I must say its not so easy. This class requires a lot of thinking and its a bit difficult to understand. Do not take the class for granted. 2 exams , a journal and class participation required

She is vary smart and organized. Her class was very interesting and I learn a lot from her class. Her class even help me to understand another class I was taking. However, you still need to work hard for your own benefits. I will take her class again if I get a chance.

This class was interesting. You learn about search and seizures and how the trials are conducted. Overall it was a great class pay attention to her examples because they are most likely to appear on the exam. The grades goes as follows 40% midterm 40% final and 20% Participation. Tiesch is the besr professor at John Jay . Class topics were so interesting and I learned so much about things that I thought i had been taught before but It turns out that my other professors had only scratched the surface on. Plus tiesch taught us how to debate both sides of current social issues and basically taught us how to win any argument.

Professor Teich is amazing. By far my favorite class this semester. She gives really good notes, amazing lectures & is an actual lawyer. Doesn't post notes on BB, so make sure u come to class. Only Midterm & Final which are both 40% of grade. She goes over the entire test beforehand & gives you the answers as a review. Make sure you study tho!!!

When I first took this class I was extremely nervous because it was only based on a midterm and final. But she made it easier since she reads every question and answers on the day of the review. Her lectures were amazing and you only have to write down the ones that are highlighted in yellow which they all relate to the exam. Best professor at JJay

hands down one of the best professors at John Jay! grade is based on participation/attendance, midterm, and a final. she reads off all the questions for the test and doesn't move on until you have everything down. no homework and it is highly encouraged you attend all the classes because she doesn't use a textbook. make sure you study!

Great teacher shows good films on prison system and lectures are great. good presentations and easy to pass tests

Prof. Teich is amazing. She makes a difficult law class very easy. Be prepared to take lots of notes and pay good attention during her midterm and final review; given the fact that she provides questions and answers on the day before the exam. No reason not to get AT LEAST an A-

The greatest Professor ever! i learned so much from this class, she cares so much for her her students success, you only take a midterm and a final but she will literally walk you through both exams on review day ! her tests are very easy if you actually study what you reviewed in class ! She is a very smart and down to earth human being

Really good professor. I genuinely learned in her class just by listening to her lecture, not many professors are engaging. Showed a few films but that's okay. She literally goes over the test questions the class before the test so there's no way u're not passing. Shes also very understanding and accessible.

Such a wonderful professor. I enjoyed every single minute of it. Every lecture was well taught and would sometimes bring up her stories of her as an attorney. There's only a midterm and final which are all multiple choice and will do a review for both a week before. Which It is literally every Q&A on the review. TAKE HER you won't regret it.

This is my 2nd time with Professor Teich. Honestly, my favorite professor by far. She makes everything so simple and interesting. My favorite class this semester. Only a midterm and final, no hw or textbook. She's accessible outside of class as well. Is a lawyer herself and gives advice to future lawyers. Definitely will be taking her class again.

Honestly, take her. She makes difficult and boring material fun to learn to be honest. Her class is made up of Midterm, Final, and attendance. Goes over exams the class before. Hard class to fail.

Amazing professor . Easy going and awesome at what she does . Great lectures and films on the correction system.

SUPER EASY. LECTURES ARE AMAZING AND SO ENGAGING. BEST PROFESSOR FOR ANY LAW CLASS. so sad this is my last class i am taking with her. only graded on midterm and final but she reads out the answers on the test the day before the day of the test.

She is a great teacher. In her class she gave 2 exams which are worth 35% each if you fail one u still can pass by doing your assignments and participation but if you don't like taking exams don't take her class although she goes over the exam which doesn't make it so bad but very good teacher. Each exam is multiple choice and 50 questions each.

Great teacher prior to the switch online due to the pandemic. Loved the class and material, but once we switched online she didn't bother with lectures and just posted slides. Hardly learned anything after that, which is a real shame.

I honestly think that the professor is doing a fantastic job. She gave quizzes in which if they are prepared and reviewed the notes, it will be easy to pass. She gave the same amount of work as it is supposed to be in college, maybe it is a little bit harder, but it's right that we work hard to deserve a good grade. I have endless respect for her.

Professor Teich literally ask for the bare minimum. Her quizzes may have a lot of questions but they are repetitive!! she literally gives an OPEN BOOK weekly quiz. I understand as a student so much has happen that effected the way we are learning but there are other professors who expect so much more. Her credibility is not worth your laziness.

She is a great professor. Her quizzes are easy and she's not a tough grader. If you want to get a good grade all you have to do is follow the syllabus just like any other class. She is very caring for her students. TAKE THIS CLASS!!! She's amazing. I just hope I had the chance to take the class in person.

Professor Teich takes a difficult subject matter and breaks it down to your understanding. How many people can say they have learned a lecture from a fully online class? Her material is very easy to comprehend & she is very organized. No lie, I know a good professor when I got one! Follow the syllabus & your on your way to an A.

Y'all gotta stop being entitled. This class is so well structured and easy to follow. There were no homework, easy open book quizzes, and simple discussion boards posts. The entitlement and selfishness of some students really came out. Now the rest suffer for it. Easy percentages for grades have now been taken away because of selfish entitlement.

To all the people who have recently give Professor Teich bad reviews, shame on you. She has made this class hella easy by giving out OPEN BOOK quizes each week. Those quizzes were essentially mini previews of questions we'd see on the midterm, we all could have passed with flying colors but people decided to be selfish. Professor, if you see this

Hopefully, the Professor sees this. Don't allow other entitled and careless people to change your decision on how to function the course. Opposed to other professors I have, giving excessive amounts of work this class asks for the minimum while I end up learning more with the quizzes than other courses. You're a sweet and strong person, please!

Professor Lisa Teich is handling the online classes really well that were originally meant for in-person. She is not a tough grader. She is very easy going and helps her students. I definitely recommend her. Easy A!!!

Professor Lisa it's a such a professional persons, I'm taking her course online and evertything is being given it's very helpful, one week we have a quiz which all the answer are on the powerpoints she gives, and the next week you have to participate on a discussion board. Jus to every work on time and it's all going to be good. She is good.

For those of you who have attacked Lisa Teich over the first quiz that was 77 questions. This is a upper level college course. The quiz took maybe an hour if you read the powerpoint. What is to be expected in an upper level college course? I am ashamed that some of you bashed Professor Teich due to your own lack of time management.

Those people that were complaining about how this class is "hard" need to grow up and understand that this is college not high school where professors are going to baby you. If you can't follow simple rules and read what you're told to do, then you're not ready to be out there in the real world. She's a GREAT professor! Take her if you can 11/10

I feel more ready for my chosen career because I took this course w/ Prof Teich. Her lectures are interesting & her insights help to make things clear. Whats most impressive about Professor Teich is that she gives real world examples on the subject matter. Her lessons often include explaining law scenes from popular movies which I loved.

Love love love love Prof. Teich. I've taken her for two law courses during intersessions and she makes the material very understanding and easy to digest in such a condensed time frame. The work load given during these intersessions hasn't been overwhelming at all, no better professor for intersession courses. Take her if you have the chance.

Yes there are a lot of questions for the quizzes but all are multiple choice and all the answers are HIGHLIGHTED for you in the outline. It literally does not get easier than this class. The midterm and final are the same exact questions found in the quizzes. If you score more than 50% on a quiz you get all the points for the quiz. EASIEST A

Professor Teich is hands down an easy A! If you don't do well then you really didn't try! This was a 5 week summer session. One quiz every week, one midterm and one final. The midterm and final all have questions specifically from the quizzes; and the quiz questions are DIRECTLY from the notes that she give you. You are set up for success.

This class is so well structured and easy to follow. Easy open-book quizzes weekly, detailed lecture, midterm, and final. She is an amazing professor and really helps you understand the material. It's an easy class but only if you put the effort in. We only met on BB 4 times this whole semester. She's very understandable. Would 100% take her again!

Professor Teich is great. Be ready to read and take 77 questions quizzes, and 100 questions midterm and final. However, it is all from the PowerPoint; just required a lot of reading. No textbook required.

Everything you need to know is on the slides and she even states that absolutely nothing outside of those slides will be on the exams. No essay, homework, or quizzes, and her exams are extremely straightforward. All you have to do is show up (she's very strict on participation) and make sure to review the material on the slides (posted before exam)

No homework, straight exams. 40% midterm and 40% final along with the 20% participation. All her exams are straight from the PowerPoints, she will end the lecture off with questions that will end up being on the exams so you need to pay close attention to what she says and how she says it. Very strict with attendance. Overall she is a sweetheart.

Take herrrrr! No textbook only power points lectures. Open book quiz. You can not fail her class.

Prof Teich was caring and dedicated to providing the class with a clear and detailed expectation of how our grade would be determined. I enjoyed her lectures and real-world personal experiences. I think I learned more in her class than in any other law class. I would take any class she teaches.

Take Professor Teich! Easy A! She makes it so clear what you need to do in her course. She makes you watch some documentaries but they really help to understand the course material. She posts everything you need to blackboard, just make sure you listen and you will walk away happy. Will take her again!

Clear cut professor, material is actually really interesting. She is organized and will send reminders for when Quizzes/Mid/Final are due. No lecture, she already has the powerpoint for the week ready. 5 Openbook Quizzes(20%), Midterm & Final (40%). Everything you see on the quiz will pop up on the exams. Great Professionalism & course.

I took this class for winter 2023 & it is a very easy class. The professor put reminders on Blackboard & emails about assignments when they are near the due date. If you fail this class you are just pure lazy. Read, study, and take the Quizzes! 5 quizzes, a final, and a midterm, and EVERYTHING is on the PowerPoint that she provides and the movies.

Prof Teich's class is a straightforward A if you stay on top of the material. The lectures cover everything you need to know, and using resources like unstuck AI alongside the provided PowerPoints can make studying a breeze. Attendance is a must, but the workload is manageable.

Just take her. I took her for both law and cor at the same time so easy. Quizzes every week due by Friday, answers are in the PowerPoints, can find movie and documentary answers in google if you search hard enough. Just write down all the questions and answers in a document to study or look back on.

No explanation needed. Just take her!!!!

I've never had one conversation with her throughout the semester. The tests are beyond easy. If you just do them, you'll probably get an A. I know for a fact she does not accept late work, so be mindful of that.
