She is a very good teacher. I highly recommend her to everybody. She actually helps you to get a good grade on everything. She is always there when you have trouble with something and always helps you.

Assigns a lot of work but helps you to get through it. Very understanding when appropriate. The harder you work the more you get out of this teacher and her course. I recommend her for students who want to advance their writing ability.

Lots of work, you have to like English if you are taking her class.

She is a good teacher. She likes participation. Her papers are hard. But if you stick around after class, B.S. with her, and ask her for help, she will practically write them for you.

A lot of people find her boring. But she's very easy, she accepts most ideas and thoughts, encourages participation, and she's nice. She doesn't like to make anyone feel out of place, she's fair.

She's a good teacher that is really nice and caring. Only have to write 4 essays and she is a very easy going grader. Take her and you will do good, just show interest. Oh yeah...she's not that boring.

To make comments about HER personal life is foul. Why should there be a standar for women to be married by!! Prof tucker is great! My sis took her, I took her, and I recommend her all the time. I'm not too fond of sharing papers within class, but that's her style. As long as you participate, and DO your work, you'll pass with a decent grade.

Professor Tucker is the best professor I've ever had. She spent the time to teach me how to write great papers. She's always willing to help before or after class. She cares about her students who apply themselves, so if you are not interested in learning, she's not the professor for you.

I can not believe this review, Prof Tucker is a sweet heart and very helpful, don't believe this bitter student. She may be scattered because she is busy but she is passionate and very kind. A little boring at times but thats all.

I thought Professor Tucker was great. I did not know how to correctly write a paper until I took her class. She will sit with you before, during, or after class to go over your rough draft and show you how you can improve your paper. Wonderful teacher!

Prof Tucker has a heart of gold! She REALLY cares about her students. Yes the class got off to a rough start because she was having trouble following the syllabus, however she allows creativity and leniency with paper topics and deadlines. She does not have one mean bone in her body and is always there for her students.

Professor Tucker is an excellent teacher. What she really focuses on is the interaction between classmates which really helps students who are lost get back on track. She is fair with her grading and tried to stick to the syllabus as much as possible. Over all I think she is doing a great job. Didn't need text book, found everything online.

One of my favorite professors. I took her for English comp. 1 and 2 and loved her. She is a sweetheart and understands students have other obligations so if you can't hand in a paper on time, talk to her and she will grant you extra time. She has students best interest in mind. Take her if you get the chance!

I recommend this professor. She is really kind and I learned a lot in her class. She has high expectations but really wants her students to succeed. She lets you re-do assignments for a higher grade, so as long as you are willing to put in the time, you can definitely get an A.

I love Professor Tucker. I took her for both English 1 and 2 and she is an absolute sweetheart. She gives you ideas and outlines for the papers and makes it really simple. She also lets you rewrite the paper if you don't get a good grade. I don't see how she has low ratings at all, shes a great professor!

I love Professor Tucker! She gives you so much time to work on papers. You can rewrite any paper for a better grade. She's not a tough grader. She goes over anything you may not understand and has class discussions on assignments. It's hard to not pass her class honestly do all the work (which isn't a lot) and you will get a good grade.

I had Professor Tucker for English II. She was amazing. By far the best english teacher I have had at RVCC. Professor Tucker is caring and thoughtful towards her students. Just read and do your homework, nothing crazy. She was very understanding when doing the partnered paper. Her feedback was helpful and she offered extra credit.

One of the best professors I've ever had! So caring and easy to follow and has so much knowledge. She's the sweetest lady and is so understanding when any student has a problem. The homework is just reading and it takes all of 5 seconds. Very easy class but, you'll learn a lot :)

She is a little quirky, but very nice lady. You can tell she loves her job. Gives clear instructions and will help you with anything. Pretty easy grader too and gives many extra credit opportunities.

Guys she's so underrated!! She is one of the best professors in the school. Very skilled at what she does. She's very helpful how to write an essay and how to do a research project making it very manageable. Her tests are very clear and gives you everything you need for the tests. If you struggle in English she a great choice, just ask for her help

She is a sweet person and very easy going. Assigns a short story to read each class, post a reflection in canvas and next class u discuss. 2 group projects which are an easy A, one midterm which she gives u half of the questions for and a take home final. You dont need the textbook just look up pdfs/summaries online. Very passionate about teaching

The whole class we just learn about refugees. Was it repetitive? Yes, but it was sooo easy. Every essay was the same topic and if that isn't your thing don't take her, but in my opinion this class could be way worse. English 1 is harder then this. Lots of quizzes but all you have to do is read a 1-5 page paper to prep. Got an A on every essay.

I took Tuckers short story class and it was AMAZING. She chose amazing stories and the assignments were straight forward. Not to mention she is super understanding and you can text her anytime of day for help. She made me feel so comfortable and I LOVED her class. Wish I could take it again.

Literally the sweetest woman ever! She has a deep passion for literature and the subject matter she teaches, so the class is never dull. Tucker does a killer job of fostering an environment where everyone feels like they can and should offer to the discussion.

Most assignments are essays (which she gives a lot of class time to complete) and she gives good feedback on rough drafts of what she expects so you can get an A. She responds quickly when you text her phone # too.

honestly was one of the best professors here for English, she would have us do rough drafts for all the essays we wrote and would give back detailed feed back and not just broad reviews. this helped so much in making final copies. if you fail this class its because you didnt try not because of her
