For BUSN 40, don't read the book, just make a comprehensive list of vocabulary words by chapter from it and study that. I passed with an 'A' easily with her. She dresses professionally and addresses you in that way too. Her best students, like me cuz of that aforementioned sheet, get to do a fun project instead of doing a written assignment. JT

This is the best instructor I have ever met. She gives lots of extra credit, she is very clear with the material. To get an A in her class is a piece of cake, as long as you read the chapters and listen in class. She is also a very fair instructor.

BUSN ethics - excellent teacher. Was extremely fair to our class, letting us retake tests we bombed and giving extensive extra credit opportunities. Guides discussions but doesn't dominate them, so if you have an opinion it will be heard. Super professional and nice, doesn't mind going off topic every now and then if you have a serious question.

Show up to class, read chapters... and bring your book to the tests! Very nice... I recommend her!

Dr. Weaver's style of teaching is one of the best I've ever encountered. Her lectures are easy to understand and engages with her students. You MUST read your assigned chapters to pass this course. As far as the hw assignments, she will give you half points if you simply answer them. You have to go into details. Nonetheless, she is an excellen

Dr. Weaver is one of the best instructors i have ever had, she is extremly professional, she shows a lot of respect towards her student. she is a very fair grader with lots of extra credit oppotunities. Show up to class,read the text book,do the written assingmets and you will get a good grade. Very Fun classs!

Weaver was informative, but rather, my way or the highway. Then again, what boss or professor is not that way. I would highly recommend her class(s); she is skilled at what she does. My only tips: know your terms, don't blow off tests, and do well on the essays.

Excellent instructor! Hands down of the best business instructors at LPC. Very knowledgeable, always willing to help students. Exams were straight forward. Review the study guide and you'll do great. Assignments are easy too. Read the book and you'll do fine. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to take a business class with her, particularly 40.

I took her online Mark50 class, and i loved it...she is very helpful and nice. but you do have to do work to get an A. it's not hard but you can achive it.

She's awesome. Taking Business 18 with her. Very helpful and understanding. Chapter tests are online, and there are weekly terms quiz, but she allows you to work in groups. I recommend taking her.

For Bus 40, you have to work hard to get the grade you want. Attendance is a must in a daily basis. Shes absent alot but she expects alot from her students. But overall shes average.

She did a lot of hands on things. She kept the class involved in the lecture. The tests are very long but you get a cheatsheet. This is my second class with her. I would recomend. Just show up, pay attention, and know the terms and concepts.

Took it online. quizes are easy if you read the chapter. The assignments are pretty easy overall, but you have to be serious about them and do lots of research. Fair grader. Answers back emails within a couple hours with clear answers.

Excellent teacher. I had her for Business 18. Exhibits expert knowledge in subject. Has worked in the industry professionally for many years, adds credibility to her teaching. Class is not easy so do not take unless you are actually interested in the material. She is extremely professional and fair. Treats the students with respect.

Meh. She is a good teacher, but there is just something about her lectures that don't feel quite right: either forced or something else completely (maybe unorganized). I wouldn't avoid her, and she is probably the best Business teacher at Las Positas, but there is something about her that I just don't like, and I cant quite place my finger on it.

I took her in Spring 2010 and earned a "B". If I had gone to class I'm sure an "A" would have been mine. She is GOOD; patient, encouraging; disappointed when you don't do your best.

Tough class but I learned A LOT; she is demanding, but fair; encouraging, patient, expects u to do ur best. Not a pushover.Attendance:U need to be there.Let's u know ahead when class is cancelled.

I had Dr. Weaver for business law fall 2010. She is a very nice lady and willing to help students. I learned the trick to the class is showing up, and not necessarily reading the book, just understanding the material. And doing good on assignments is almost a guaranteed good grade.

I took BUSN40 online. It is pretty much self paced because the deadlines are fairly apart from each other. Do all the assignments and discussion board and you should be good. Test are not too hard but they are timed, so glance the chapters before testing. Dr. Weaver is helpful and not too picky. I would its an easy class.

I have taken several classes from Dr. Weaver and really LOVE her. She does push you to perform quickly - I hated that - but it has been really helpful at work. She expects participation. Gives lots of opportunities to succeed. Knows her stuff and more.

Dr. Weaver is my best and she I took her in class bus. 18 ad online MKTG 50, even thou I got low grade on MKTG but it was my fault misunderstood that i had gd grade. if u have 900 then u will nt take final. best teacher ever.LOTS OF extra credits. if u miss things she helps u do for some points. so clear in her teachings. best ever take HER!!!!!!!!

Super organizaed; uses the text; adds lots of materials online. so far so good; syllabus is long, but everyting is in it. our in class work is fun and really helps. Posts points regularly; responds to e-mail;class is really larg.

I took BUSN40 on campus with this teacher and Business Law and Intro to Marketing Online. I thought she was a great teacher and helped guide me in the right direction when I needed help. I loved the fact that I didn't have to take the finals due to having an A before the end of the semesters.

BUS.LAW WAS TOUGH; BUT knew that going in.Dr.Weaver knows her stuff.She does just about anything to help you;won't do it for you;due dates are due dates;a reality of life.Mktg was fun even online.Lots of work, but what do you expect?Got an A in Marketing(900 points and didn't have to take the final)& a B in Blaw.I learned a lot;worth the time!

Learned a LOT. Provided a grid calendar as well as a text one. Very detailed directions; easy to follow if you read. IT IS AN ONLINE CLASS. Good feedback on assignments; questions got detailed answers. Lots of opps to do well. Stay on top of the due dates.

Lisa was a friendly teacher. I sat front row and immediately became on good terms with her. I talked to her often and listened to her lectures. She was entertaining and thorough, I learned a lot about law! I finished the class with an A and I am glad I took the class with her. Very nice lady.

She is a very good teacher. She knows a lot about what she teaches and seems to truly enjoy teaching. I don't agree with most of her ratings because yes, she is a little rigid, but if you don't participate, then you will not do well. As long as you display an interest and participate, you WILL pass. I really enjoyed her class & her teaching style.

Highly recommend! Her class is set up so everything is easy to find, assignment instructions are very clear, & there is plenty of extra credit offered. Even more important was how nice she was. I could email her with questions/concerns at any time & she would reply promptly w/ thoughtful answers. You could tell she really cares about her students!

LW sets her class up to succeed. Her detailed calendar clearly states when the multiple assignments are due. An A is attainable as she offers much extra credit throughout the semester. The class is challenging but engaging. She is a good facilitator and the student is given many opportunities to work with and build relationships with classmates.

At first the class seemed to be intimidating and overwhelming. If you break down the components of the course it is very manageable. Her expectations are very clear. So long as deadlines are not overlooked, you can tailor the homework, tests and assignments to suit your needs. The course was informative and Dr. Weaver's guidance was excellent.

Dr. Weaver is a great teacher! The class material was pretty difficult but she was very knowledgable and helpful about everything. She always stays up to date with current news and starts up interesting discussions to get class rolling. She offers a lot of extra credit so I think an A is achievable with effort.

absolutely wonderful professor, really knows what she's talking about, but gives a lot of assignments. a lot of them are easy points. just do what she assigns and you'll be fine. also there's a LOT of extra credit. take advantage of it. i finishes the semester with 40 points EC and i won't say i didn't like that.

She's an extremely reasonable person. Will give a lot of assignments, which is why it may be crucial to start them early and do them bit by bit when you have some extra time. Also gives plenty of extra credit, so capitalize on that. Only complaint is the way she wants your emails to be formatted, but it's understandable as she has a lot of students

Just finished the class; earned my A & learned a lot. Not easy, but worth it. Assignments added to the understanding. Hated doing the research paper surprised that I loved it when I was done. In class group work was helpful & surprised that other students participated much more than in my other classes.

Very passionate about business, and wants you to do well in her class. Must stay on top of syllabus to know when various assignments are due. Gives chances to retake tests, as well as plenty of extra credit assignments. Stay on top of readings, participate, and you will do well in the class.

I took this her online Business 40 class. It's not too bad. She give 3 papers you have to write, but she gives you a month to do each one of them. You do have weekly discussions and interactive exercises, but you can check your work on all of the I.E. so you can get 100% each time. I probably wouldn't take a class with this teacher again.

Lisa Weaver is one of my favorite Professors ever. She can make any topic interesting. She is knowledgeable, organized and responsible. She is a professional and really cares about her students. Every lecture is an opportunity to grow more professionally and personally.

Solid teacher for an easy A. She doesn't do much, the online connect does most of the work for her. Just make sure you stay on top of your online homework and turn in your essays on time. The exams were pretty easy in my opinion.

Tough subject - she knows it well; and takes the time to help you understand it. She had major health issues our semester and missed class but was willing to meet whenever to provide help. Fair and professional. Wants students to learn to think for themselves. Encouraged questions . challenged our reasoning.

Best online class I've taken. Responds to email really quickly. Loves questions about twhat we were studying. Gave LOTS of extra info. Interesting assignments but not easy.

Took her late-start online class. She's an extremely sweet lady, answered all of my questions and responded really quickly. Seemed a bit overwhelmed however, and the class ended up a bit disorganized. I wouldn't recommend her late-start class, but I have no doubts that she's a good teacher, just was a bit out of her element here.
