This lady is a firecracker, and the epitome of everything that a prof should be. She is extremly passionate about her work and the attitude is contagious. This coarse is well organized and she wants her students to succeed. Dr. A is a role model for women and students everywhere which is why students should be begging to take NUT10.

Dr Applegate was the person who restored my faith in UCD. She gives you your money's worth. You will learn so much! Her tests can be tricky, but she wants you to succeed, and pretty much shows you how to get an easy A in her class with her review sessions (in addition to all the extra credit). TAKE HER

I took this class as a virtual student and it was the BEST IDEA EVER! I highly recommend it because it allows you to replay all the hints she gives for exam questions. Dr. Applegate is very passionate about nutrition and it shows! She makes nutrition exciting and fun and you will not be disappointed!

Lectures are clear, she's accessible if needed, and she gives lots of extra credit. However, the problem I had was the Diet Project. It's not really hard to do, but it can be pretty triggering for people with eating disorders. Thankfully, while the project may difficult for some, it's still possible to pass the class while failing the project.

NUT10 is an easy and popular course here at UCD. Dr. A is pretty nice and helpful. Two midterms are pretty close to samples. However, final is a little bit hard but with so many extra credits, it is still easy to get an A

I'm surprised her ego was able to fit in the lecture hall that holds over 500 students. With that said, she's a great teacher and gives lots of extra credit. I didn't want to put up with her grade boostwaiting in line and I still got an A. A class of 1,000 students is too large to get any meaningful interaction with the professor.

The lectures are long and monotonous and the professor can be pretty annoying, but it's pretty much a guaranteed A and does teach you some useful stuff about your health and your body. So, if you want a GPA boost, take this class. I put in an average amount of work into it and ended with an A+ easily.

Everyone told me this class was an easy A, but I ended up with a B. Professor Applegate wasn't the one teaching the class when I took it; one of her TAs taught it. Either way, the tests are all similar. Read the reader she makes you buy and make sure you go to class for bonus points or you won't get an A.

This is a really good GE to take. You can take it either in class or online (with in class tests). I took it online and found it to be easier for me. There is a lot to study and the tests can be tough but the amount of extra credit she gives makes up for it. You NEED the textbook. Especially for the diet project. Would recommend!

Dr. Applegate is an expert in her field. I learned so much and it's information that you can apply to living a healthy life. Obviously, you have to do work in order to get an A or A+ but it is VERY doable. I took it online. Just read the book, listen to lectures, and study for the in class exams. She tells you EXACTLY what will be on the exams!

She doesn't impose what's bad or not, but rather informs you. 4 years in UCD and this class made me more attentive with my lifestyle and diet. You have to put in work, but there's no tricks.

Fun class. The course material is very relevant to everyday life. You can take the class online, which I highly recommend. You only need to show up for the exams and to turn in a diet project. Virtual students can view all of the lectures online. She assigns a lot of extra credit so there is a lot of room for error on the tests.

This is a very easy course that is straightforward. That being said, be prepared for the high price of the e-textbook which costs $54+tax to do the mandatory diet project. She does not give out the 6 pages of PDF. The online videos that you watch instead of lecture are ok but repetitive and slow, definitely possible to understand at 2X speed.

Applegate is a wonderful lecturer who provides a lot of extra credit to boost your grade. Her lectures can get a little boring and redundant, as a lot of information is repeated, so watch them at a faster speed. However, this is a class worth taking for an easy A, and she has a lot of passion for nutrition, and she's respected here at Davis.

She is an immoral person who profited off poor students. This woman funded a new wing in her house and a fleet of vehicles in her garage by forcing students to buy her poorly written textbook and tear out pages so they cannot be resold.

Very strict and forces you to buy her textbook which you can't even resell. Applegate embezzled money from students with her textbook scam. 500 students x 4 quarters a year x 20 years x 50 a book = 2 million. If you see her at the football game, be rude and unkind. She deserves it and karma will definitely come back to haunt her
