I waited two semesters to get in his College Algebra class and I am glad I waited for him. The professor I had before did not teach. Mr. Harris explains everything. He does write fast but he is working as many examples as possible to help us understand. If you cannot keep up, go by and see him, he will help you.

I had Mr. Harris in MAT 1033 in Spring 2006. He was and is the best teacher I have ever had. My class was probably the rudest class he has ever taught but he still made math fun. I highly recommend him. I wish he was teaching MGF 1106. His classes fill up first because he is the best.

Proffesor Harris is an EXCELLENT teacher. He is very easy to understand and if you still don't understand the material he can be extremely helpful. Great guy to get to know. He is very helarious at times, he keeps the class loose. I can't say its an easy class, you do have to do your studying, but should have no problem understanding the material.

Take him. Easy to understand and not to bad to look at for an old guy.

Awesome! I think that one word sums up my semester in Mr. Harris's class. He cares about each student. He may call you "Goober" but he does not mean anything negative by it. I was the "Goober" in my class everytime we met. Only negative thing, he is a Georgia Bulldog fan.

He is a good teacher. Only thing is he FLYS through the material and is not very clear. He will answer any questions but I personally never had time to ask since I was always rushing to write down everything. Just be PREPARED TO WRITE REALLY FAST. Goes from topic to topic quickly VERY QUICKLY

i dont even go to GCCC but i found his video tutorials SO HELPFUL! I had a horrible math teacher for intermediate algebra and the only way i got through it was because of this man, his videos are so very helpful!!

Awesome teacher. Writes fast some times, but he posts the notes from class on Angel. His tests are fair. He is always there to provide help. As he puts it "YOU have to be a freaking IDIOT not to pass his class"! Sign up early for his class because they fill up quickly. He makes math fun!

I think he is the best math teacher at Gulf Coast Community College. The only problem with him is that he is stretched very thin. He is involved with everything on campus but still finds the time to help his students.

Professor Harris is awesome. He teaches in a step by step approach and is available to his students. I took a mini-mester for both 0002 and 0024 in spring 08. I have never understood algebra until this class. If it wasn't for him, I would still not understand it.I also used his online videos for MAC 1033 and 1105. Big Kudos for a GREAT PROFESSOR!

I had never had Mr. Harris for a class. Before registering, all I heard is that he is an awesome teacher. I was scared the first couple of days, but after that, I developed a love for Mr. Harris. He is the best math teacher I have ever taken. Take his classes if you can and do not be a GOOBER.

mr harris is my teacher only through the posted videos. i heart him. i have to work hard in every math class i take, it just does not come naturally to me, and i don't know if i could make it without his videos. each new semester i try to register for his class, and am always disappointed i can't get in.

I am NOT a math person. But Mr. Harris makes it seem so much easier. He is always willing to help (but don't expect to be babied) and truly wants you to do well. He is super funny, ridiculously sarcastic, and always down to business. Highly recommend and I am hoping I can get him for all of my other math classes. Excellent teacher!

He is one of the best professors I've ever had. I had very poor math skills and had to study every day. He was always willing to help outside of class and thanks to him I have gone on to more advanced math and chemistry courses without a problem! Thanks Mr. Harris!

Watched Mr. Harris's videos and passed the placement test with flying colors. No math in my curriculum is required if you pass this one test, and I did- Thanks to Mr.Harris!! GREAT TEACHER, VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND. Seems like he has a great sense of humor too. Highly recommend him if you have to sit thru a math class.

Had Mr Harris for several Math classes, Highly recommend him. You do have to do your home work and be in class to pass, however if there is a problem he is one of the only instructors I have had that actually will take time outside of class to work with you and make sure that you understand what is going on.

He's a great math teacher, but he doesnt take much crap. You will understand math much better after taking his class.

I haven't taken his class, but if it weren't for the videos he has posted on the gcsc website I would have failed the 1105 class I was in. I watched every one of the videos for that class and literally taught myself using them. The videos alone were enough for me to highly recommend him. The way he writes makes things very clear to understand.

AWESOME! Mr. Harris is the reason i took this class. He puts all the notes from class on Angel so that you can pay attention in class rather than try to copy everything down; this really helps bc the course is very fast paced. The math department at GCSC is fantastic, and Mr. Harris is a prime example of what makes them so great.

Had him for college algabra online, he is the best! He is so helpful and explains thing very well. He does require some homework but it is really no big deal. I wish he was teaching the rest of my Math classes!! Take him if you can, his classes fill up quik!!

I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Harris. I have never sat in his class but I have used his videos for three GCSC courses that I have taken online (0018 - 1033 Int Algebra). They saved my life! He is very clear and easy to follow...and you can always back up and watch it again. He always wants to be sure the class is able to follow him. Best ever!

He's a great teacher! Explains material fairly simple and puts a good dose of humor with it. But you best watch him at times when he makes mistakes, he'll put all the blame on the class for not correcting him when he first goofed! More professors should be like Harris.

Possibly the best math instructor on campus. I could not take him for 1033 but his videos in the online library helped me understand my class with clarity. If you need to learn from a person that will help you succeed then take his class!

Best teacher I've ever had. Horrible at math, he made it interesting and fun. 97 in the class and I've always been lucky to get a B in a math class. I'd recommend taking any class that he teaches. If you don't do hw, then you won't need the book.

If you want to take College Algebra online, you must take Harris. He's the best math teacher I have ever known. His videos are equal to being in class, and he breaks things down to make math MAKE SENSE! He somehow doesn't make math boring too, because he has a funny personality. I love Professor Harris! He is the best professor at this college hands down. Taking trig is hard enough but he does a really wonderful job of explaining every detail. He gives "quizzes" out for a grade but they're take home and he provides the answer key online. Tests are just like the quizzes but attendance is a must to pass.

You don't even have to ask about this man. He's an amazing professor. I know he has videos online for most of his classes to help if you miss a class. If I can take another one of his math classes I will in a heartbeat.

First and foremost, I have always had difficulties with math and dreaded taking mac1105. Professor Harris takes the time to help his students understand concepts and clearly comprehend the material. I enjoy his class 4 days a week. His grades are based on the take home quiz, and tests. I hope other instructors take note and be more like him. Kudos!

Mr. Harris is by far one of the best professors at this campus! He is always in a great mood and makes sure his students are too. Notes are so clear that you understand what you are looking at!! He is just amazing, I wish he could be my professor for everything lol.

Everybody loves Mr. Harris. Awesome teacher, cares about me as a student, does everything to help me be successful not only in his class but overall. He wrote the textbook which had some errors but the book was free and he gave us corrections in class.

Best math teacher! His lectures are online if you miss a class. He gives quizzes but gives you the answers before it's due. The tests are often the exact questions from the quiz!

Best math teacher I've ever taken by far. Took him for trig and finished with an a. I'm currently taking him for pre-calc. I'd say he's better at teaching trig than pre-calc but overall a great teacher. Very funny and gives good feedback.

I have enjoyed his class so much that I'm considering breaking my daytime classes only rule to take his MAC 2311 in the evenings. He knows his subjects inside-out, backwards, and upside down. He's very to the point, but drops frequent funny comments and is always ready to help you with something you don't quite get yet.

I took Mr. Harris for MAT 0012 online. I never used the textbook but did have to use the access code to do the homework and quizzes. His grading is fair. His videos are very easy to understand.

Listen: the rumors are true, this man is absolutely the best math teacher at GCSC. Its rare to find someone thats born to do something, but Mr. Harris was born to teach. Ive taken 3 classes with him and nearly aced everything because this man dismantles every apprehensive fear you may have surrounding math. Allow him to properly teach you math!

I failed his class but that is 100% my fault in not putting forth the effort because this man is a wonderful teacher. He will help you in whatever way he can, he was kind to me and looking to help me at every opportunity. I havent encountered another professor who cares even half as much as he does.

Hands down the best math teacher I have ever had. He is so good at really explaining and making sure you understand everything he is going over in class. He really has his students best interest in mind no matter what. I would take him again for math for sure.

I learned so much from Mr. Harris. I was disappointed in reading a previous comment that ripped him. Apparently that person did not come to class. His lectures explain everything in detail. He does several examples snd answers questions in class. His textbook has a few typos but he tells you about it in advance. I highly recommend him.

Mr. Harris is a great teacher, Took Trig over the summer online. Trig is a class that you have to do homework in or you will not pass. I finished the class with a B, did my homework. He is very helpful and responds quickly to any questions you may have.

Professor Harris was an extremely good teacher. I took his precalculus class online, and the resources he provided on canvas were very helpful. If you do the work you're supposed to, you should do well in the class.

Professor Harris is a fantastic teacher, I had him for trig and college algebra. He's hilarious and his teaching is easy to understand. He drops your lowest test score and gives plenty of study resources. Believe all the other good reviews. Put forth effort and you will pass.
