I took this course online. Kattelman loves busy work. I would prefer to spend the time studying the text rather then putting together balance sheets and journal entries. Her exams are pretty difficult.

I hated accounting until taking these classes. Not only did they help me when I took the dreaded finance class but it helped me several times at work and no I'm not an accountant. I thought she was thourough and the tests reflected as much. If you take the class because she is hot, you will fail because it will be difficult to concentrate! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I took both ACCT 2010 and 2020 online with her because she's an easy grader on exams. There is a LOT of information so you have to study to pass. Overall assignments are a little confusing.She is NO help whatsoever, does not reply to e-mails, and a little flaky relating to due dates which benefits students in the end, does not grade exams on time

I took both Acct 2010 and 2020 from her. She goes to a lot of work on lecture notes, which help alot.She provides good practice exams.You do have to study for the tests. She grades on a curve, so you end up doing pretty good.The last 2 chapters we studied she had not done the lecture notes,was much harder to do with just the online book.A bit flaky

Best accounting teacher at WSU. I am NOT good at accounting and she really helped me succeed. Her lecture notes are pure gold, more helpful than any book. If you are going to take accounting, make it a point to take it from professor Kattelman.

She offers a great online class. The class is very organized, and though the material is not the easiest, she makes it easy to learn. Also she is very attentive and is always available for question. I highly recommend her for a professor.

She is an awesome teacher! I took both 2010 and 2020 from her in the condensed hybrid class, which means in the first half of the semester I took 2010 and the second half I took 2020 and the classes were half online and half in-class. She made the material interesting and easy to understand, which is hard to do in such a fast paced class!

She really knows the subject and is very helpful at answering any questions. She also had a ton of energy for a night class. While attendance is not required if found it harder to comprehend the material the one week that i missed class. I would highly recommend her for any accounting class.

I took her hybrid 2010 and 2020 classes, it's not an easy class, but she teaches it so well that all of the work is worth it, she is extremely fair in her grading and will work with any student who is willing to put in equal amounts of time and energy. Love Kattleman, wish I could have her teach all of my classes.

Really great class, the teacher responds to questions fast. If you use the online study guides you can do really well in this class. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants a good accounting teacher.

Online class wasn't too bad. Teacher was very helpful in explaining things. You have to buy an access code for an online course to do all your homework that includes an online copy of the book, so a hard copy of the book is not needed just purchase the online access code. Stay on top of work and you will be fine and should pass this class.

I took this class online & loved her! Kattleman answered all my e-mails & questions promptly. You can check your answers on assignments before turning them in. STUDY for the tests, do all the homework & bonus homework, & you will be just fine! I bought the textbook that came with a connect code & used the book a lot. Excellent Professor & class!!!

She is a great professor! I would recommend her to anyone. You will need to buy the text. Just do all the homework and you will do fine in the class. There is usually a short assignment due everyday but they only take 20 or so minutes to complete. She will do anything to help. Very flexible. :) TAKE HER CLASS!!!

Incredible professor! I absolutely despise math and anything math related. I figured I'd bomb this course. Professor Kattelman's passion for this subject and her enthusiasm for teaching inspires you to attend and participate in class. It takes a lot of work on your end, but it's a great course to take!

Online class. This is a well designed online class where you don't need much instructor interaction. There isn't much busy or repetitive work, but lots of optional examples if you need help with a particular part. The class was easier than I expected.

Kattleman is a great professor, she spends a lot of time covering material just to make sure you really understand. The finals do not kill your grade if you do poorly. There are enough homework assignments so that it levels out. I recommend going to class just because she makes it so much easier to understand material.

I took the online class, so no interaction with the instructor. She uses the McGraw-Hill Connect website, which I like. Helps to learn the material. You have to study and read the chapters, but there are homework assignments to help your grade in case you don't do well on the tests. Due dates are clear so you always know when things are due.

If you have to take accounting take it from her!!! Sometimes I would read the textbook and didnt understand what it was trying to say it but then I went to class and she explain it so well. She loves accounting. This class is a lot of hard work. There are 5 test (2 chapter at a time) and a final but the final was easy.

Great professor and great online class. I really liked that you can check your homework answers before turning it in. Multiple choice tests are kind of hard so study good. Do the extra credit and you will be fine.

Due to working 40+hrs a week I really had no choice but to take this class online. The multiple choice tests are difficult and there's a lot to remember however, the workout problems on the tests are really good and go along great with the homework. Great Professor!!

Professor kettelman is such a great professor. She made the time in class fly by (pretty hard when you are talking about numbers). Always comes to class with a great attitude and is willing to stay long after class to answer questions or look at your assignments with you. Highly recommended instructor.

Great professor. As long as you do the homework you will be fine. Tests are broken up into two different sections. The multiple choice part is tougher, so study for that. You pretty much have access to the book online so I didn't use mine. I like the site she uses to do the homework. Very helpful!

Prof. Kattelman is great and offers a good online class. Material can be difficult, but you have a few attempts before you submit your final answer for homework. Each exam is 2 parts. One is in the testing center and the other is at any computer. Study well for the testing center and the at home one is like the homework. Highly Recommended !!!!

There are a lot of assignments but they are all helpful and very easy to get through. You have 3 chances to submit each assignment. Test every 3 weeks so not much material to cover. Great teacher, she's fun and really makes sure everyone understands. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

Expect lots of reading if you want to understand the material (if taking it online). Assignments consist of interactive presentations (videos with questions), homework split into a different parts, learn smart modules, and optional homework for extra credit. There's 4 exams (each covering 5 chapters). Great teacher who is willing to help.

Kattelman is a great teacher. Her class has a lot of assignments so if you aren't good with homework her class isn't for you. Her lectures are very good she always give clear and concise answers. I wish I could take her for 2020 but her class is already full. I would definitely recommend.

Kattelman is a great professor. She really cares about her class and explains concepts thoroughly. The online system she uses to teach accounting is amazing! Each assignment you have three tries and you can check your answer three times before submitting an assignment. Between the teacher, the book, and the online medium this class is an easy A.

Kattelman made my first accounting class seem very easy! She's a great teacher and knows how to explain the basics of accounting. Homework is due before class, and she goes over it with the class. Kattelman let every student participate and she does really fun activities. Sometimes she gives you candies and donuts. She's really professional.

She is a great teacher. Very energetic and talks fast, but covers things well. If you read and do all assignments and ask questions you can do well in her class. There are a lot of assignments, but it's online and is a good learning program. I will be taking classes from her in the future. She is great to work with and very fair.

Great professor. Made class worth going. Make sure you always go on the days when there's group work. You will be held accountable for those days. Tests are separated out in two parts so you will need to know the material and how to actually work it out.

I've heard good things about her other classes, but this class just sucks in general. What was on homework was not a good representation of what will be on tests. She rarely does a power point, but mostly just talks to the class and is hard to follow, so it is hard to take meaningful notes. Don't take class from anyone if you don't have to.

Professor Kattelman is an awesome teacher. You can tell she really loves her job and is crazy for accounting. The class however is very needy and will require time. The info isn't difficult to learn or do, but you will have homework every week and will need to go to class to get participation points. She is a great teach though and makes it fun.

Great professor. There is a lot of homework. However it does not take nearly as long as she claims it should. Homework is EXACTLY like the test. If you re-do homework as practice you can expect nearly 100% on all exams. You never feel like you are doing busy work. All assignments are useful. Louiseann is great! She is very clear about grading criteria, and has structured her class in such a way that every concept is driven home. If you go to every class, you'll be just fine on the homework & tests. She is passionate about accounting, which I appreciate, despite not having her enthusiasm. Took all my online accounting classes w/ her. Everything is done & taught through Connect. All 3 exams are split into 2 parts. Multiple choice & workout problems. My suggestion is to do the LearnSmart & practice the HW on Connect because it is the same as the ones provided on the tests. She responded to my questions in a timely manner as well.

Her lectures are a little boring but you can tell she loves accounting. She'll try to make you love it too! Going to class is a good idea because all of the handouts she gives really help with the assignments. Very cheery and helpful, would take a class from her again.

Loisanne is a great teacher! she really made a 3 hour class go by fast. Going to class isn't mandatory, however, she does a Small group activity for points almost every class period and if you mis too much it will hurt you. She uses handouts for notes that are really helpful for retention and studying.

You will definitely have to work for a good grade, but its manageable. Weekly assignments and videos. Gives very good instructions and hints to homework. 4 midterms with 2 parts each (not a fan) no comprehensive final. Don't waste your money on hard copy of the book. You get digital access through Mcgraw hill (the place you do H.W. and such)

Loisanne is a phenomenal accounting instructor. The course material was challenging but she had a knack for bringing it home in her lectures.

I took her for a half semester summer course. It was stressful only because of the limited time frame. As with any half semester class, some work was cut out, so lecture videos were optional and final was not comprehensive. Lectures were clear and helpful. Online homework and in-class worksheets were typical of her tests.

Kattelman is awesome!! Its the same layout as 2010 with PL, HW, LS, and SGA so it is pretty rigorous but not too hard. She is a very nice lady and will always answer your questions in or out of class. Lectures are pretty solid, sometimes she can rush through but not too much. Overall she is an awesome teacher and i would recommend her to anyone!

I enjoyed this class. I love how structured Kattelman made everything, both online on canvas as well as in class. Good lectures that encouraged participation and questions. Genuinely enjoyed this class and would recommend this professor.

Kattelman is a good choice especially if you arent the best at ACTG, as she is repetitive and explains concepts in a lot of detail. Theres a lot of homework and tests are difficult but study hard and youll do fine! She does small group activities in class when you work on practice problems w peers too, which I found helpful. Take ACTG from her!

I took this course online. it was one of the best classes for me. you have to be prepared for 3 homework each week, and you have 3 Exam (each exam has 2, part A(25 questions ) and part B(12 questions usually )) and at the end, you don't have a final exam just you have a final project I love this class and I enjoy it

Professor Kattelman is a top professor at Weber State for sure! She does a great job of explaining the concepts and formulas and why we use them. She is caring and more than willing to help.

She's amazing, funny, caring. i will completely with no doubt take another class from her. Accounting has always been harsh for me, but she explains it so well. Her assignments are not complicated. Just attend to class and you will get it. She is one of my favorite professors in the Business department.

I like the independence in this class. You read the book watch her videos and do the homework. I didn't need to reach out to her once, everything is self explanatory. She would send out announcements if certain questions on homework are hard and will send hints. Between those, the book, and her videos I didn't need any help.

I took this class online which is on the McGraw-Hill platform, and I am a self learner so I really liked how the class was set up. If you are willing to read the text book fully and do all the practice problems you will succeed in the class.

At first I was pretty nervous about taking accounting in an online class. However, I was pleasantly surprised about how well it went. Her class is extremely organized which makes things much easier. I watched all the lectures the night before taking exams and she explained everything needed for them. Great Professor that explains things well.

This class is done through McGraw Hill Connect, which means it is at your own pace. Professor Kattelman uploads weekly video lectures to the system that are extremely helpful and informative. The tests are intimidating, but if you take good notes from the lectures, you will be fine. Good feedback, and answers emails quickly through Canvas.

Professor Kattleman is great! I forgot to take our first exam and emailed her immediately and she opened it up for me to take when she didn't have to. The assignments were easy to follow especially with her lecture videos.

I loved Kattelman. Her homework is nice because it is all the same type of format and done through the online textbook. She is very aware of her students and if she ever felt like we had too much of a heavy load, she would drop a homework assignment or move it so that we had more time. There is a textbook, but reading it was pointless because there is too much and she explains everything. Hw is a bit long, but necessary to learn concepts. quizzes each weeks She is an amazing professor, very helpful.

I love this professor! As an accounting major I will take as many classes as possible with her. There a lot of homework that was overwhelming at times but if you stay motivated and aware of due dates it isn't too bad. I loved that her tests were open note, I am not a great test taker and her policy greatly impacted my success. Highly recommend.

I took all my accounting courses from her for my Business degree. She is a great communicator, loved the class outline, and would 100% recommend her. Lectures get a bit boring after a bit, but I got through accounting because of her. Definitely take accounting from her!

If I could rank her a 6 I would. Her online class is set up so well and her online video lectures are professionally done. Her exams are easier than other accounting professors and if you put in a good effort you will get a good grade. I hate accounting, but she made it bearable and helped me scrape out an A.

Professor Kattleman does a great job of helping you understand accounting because it can get confusing. Her lectures are very thorough and she provides several examples of problems you will see on the exams. You must show up for class and study for exams or you will not pass. Lots of homework but it helps you in the long run

Professor Kattelman is amazing, I cannot speak highly enough about her. Class is through McGraw-Hill, and you cover a chapter per week except for weeks with exams. 3 exams that are open note. Lecture videos are AMAZING and clearly describe everything. Also does review problems in the lectures for harder problems on HW. I really enjoyed this class.

Loisanne has been one of my best professors. Would take a class from her every semester if she taught them all. You do work for your grade but the setup of the class was amazing. Highly recommend

Amazing accounting teacher. You knew what to expect from her every week and you know about how long it will take you to complete it each week. Her lectures were always really helpful as long as you take good notes and then you can use those notes on your exams. Might just be me but her voice was also pretty soothing I appreciated it.

I had her for accounting 2010 and she was amazing in both classes. It's really easy to follow the lectures and as long as you take good notes the tests are usually fine. She also has her lectures really nicely planned out where I felt like it was easy for me to take really good notes.

Accounting can be hard, however, Kattelman made it tolerable to maneuver through. You have homework due each week, but you have videos and 2 attempts to get the answers right. She was also quick to reply back to me about a situation. If you have to take Accounting, take Kattelman- I'm surprised I passed with an A.

AMAZING - would never take accounting from anyone else. You need to SERIOUSLY buckle down and take notes at lightning speed-- the material is COMPLICATED but she is a 5-star lecturer and gives crystal clear explanations. Heavy homework due every friday, but it matches exams PERFECTLY. Has explanation videos that will save you if you get lost.

She has fun videos to help students learn the concepts. Textbook is online and she's very watchful to make sure everything works how it should. She likes questions in class and does a few random group things in class (never outside of class).

She goes quickly, but her lectures are very easy to follow. One homework assignment a week (30 minutes max), and her exams are super easy. We could bring a 3x5 notecard front and back into the exam, and the questions were exactly like the homework. If you pay attention and take notes, there is no way to fail.

Loisanne is a wonderful professor, taking this class online was really nice. Videos are short and informative. Notecard allowed on exam which was extremely helpful. Did much better in ACTG2020 with Loisanne than I did in ACTG2010 with a different professor.

I just retook this class after barely failing in fall of 2022. The other teacher was bad at explaining things and went through things too fast. I took this class online and the video lectures had the same problems as the homework and it was easy for me to go back and study for the tests. This class is a lot of work but take this professor for sure
