Dr. Aagaard is an amazing teacher & teaches a great class!! If you like chalkboard notes & fun and easy observations take this as a gened.. and for any EDUCATION majors make sure to take her rather than Skidmore

Wonderful teacher! She really cares about what she is teaching and tries to relate it to real life. I learned a lot and the work is spaced out so you are not overwhelmed.

Dr. Aagaard is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She really cares for her students and brings out the best in nearly everyone. She is also very understanding when life outside of class gets a litte rough and is always willing to go the extra mile to help out one of her students.

Dr. Aagard is funny and very sweet! She is an extremely dedicated and passionate teacher who goes out of her way to help her students. Too, her lectures and exams(which are multiple choice) are extremely straightforward. You know exactly what material she is going to have on the test. Definitely take her class!

Dr. Aagaard is a great teacher! If you have to take EDF 211, make sure you take it with her! She keeps the class interesting and will go far and beyond to help any of her students succeed. If you follow the syllabus then you will do absolutely fine!

Dr. Aagaard is wonderful. She has an in depth understanding of everything she teaches and explains directions thoroughly. She allows you a cheat sheet for tests and gives you a study guide to make it from. She is excellent. Take her.

She is amazing. Lots of note taking everyday, a few movie, clips, 2 field trips to lexington, test are fairly easy if you study, but as long as you are paying attention in class you can still get a B without studying at all. i will take any class she teaches!!

Dr. Aagaard is wonderful professor,take her if you can! She lectures but has videos and stories that break it up to make it interesting. Her testing methods are great and she is very approachable and willing to work with her students.

You won't be sorry if you take her. She is by far the best teacher who teaches EDF 211. You will love her! If you do your work and come to class, you will pass very easily.

If you are taking EDF 211 you have to take her! She is by far the best professor I've had so far. Attendance is not required, but she has a daily quiz you can earn points on. Tests are easy, you also get a one page cheat sheet. Very nice and friendly and responds to emails quickly.

The information in this class is extremely useful for the programs that the class is required for but its also pretty much a "this is how to raise a child right" class. It's an awesome class.

Dr. Aagaard is probably the most exceptional professor on campus; it's a true shame she doesn't teach more classes. Dr. Aagaard is the epitome of a great teacher, and her lessons will make all of her students better human beings and better teachers. It was a true honor to have her as a professor. Thank you. :)

Love Dr. Aagaard! Enjoyed her class overall. There was a quiz each class period, but you can practice them beforehand on blackboard. She's always willing to help! Highly recommend!!

You can tell by the way she speaks that she clearly knows what she's talking about. The class meets for two hours in a row, but trust me she makes it tolerable.

This woman is absolutely amazing! She is one of those professors that makes you feel smarter just by being in the same room as her. She brings examples/articles of the material discussed in class in order for you to better understand it. I would absolutely take this class again, highly due to HER!

She is a wonderful professor. She seems to really know what she is talking about. She brings articles in every day to class to share with the class that have to do with the lecture content. It really keeps things interesting. She is really helpful and understanding.

Literally the best professor I've had thus far in college. The material isn't super easy, but she makes it exciting and memorable. I will always recommend her. I even had to sign up late to her class through the university and she replied quickly with helpful information to catch me up. She is hilarious and super caring. Best Prof Ever.

Dr. Aagaard was simply amazing! Her class was interesting and her personality is glowing! There is a quiz every day in class, but the questions come form the online quizzes; if you do the online quizzes, you'll do fine on the in-class ones. The tests are all multiple choice, but you need to study! All-in-all, she is the best.

Dr Aagaard is an amazing professor and overall an amazing and caring person. There is a quiz before each class but the answer come from the online quizzes. She makes the sometimes boring material fun to learn! She is also one the most organized professors that I have ever had in my college experience.

Very good professor. There was a 2 question quiz every class, so it is highly recommended that you don't skip class. Some of her tests were difficult, others were easy. If you studied for them then you did fine. A lot of material, but I learned a lot.

I can't imagine a better professor overall better person. She will always help you succeed in class and in life. I would recommend that you don't buy the book. I had almost a perfect in her class and never opened mine. However, I would recommend you print off her instructor's notes. They save you a lot of note-taking and are way helpful.

Great Professor

AMAZING! Truly knows what she's talking about and cares about her course and her students. You don't actually need the book though. She tells tons of relevant stories or reads cool articles that relate which made it interesting for me!

Dr. Aagaard is the bomb! You can tell she truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She is very clear about due dates and a very fair grader. It's a 2 hours class but it goes by so quickly because she makes lectures so interesting! I wish she taught more classes than just EDF 211.

Great and caring teacher. Come to class and you will get an a. She uploads all notes in case you must miss, though. Some homework is required but easy and clear. 3 tests including final but you get to make a notecard for each test so they are fairly easy. You do a little field experience. Class is long. Plenty of grades besides test.

Very knowledgeable woman. You can tell that she knows her stuff. She is very down to earth and is willing to help anyone in her class if they put in the effort. Take her if you have the opportunity!!!

Even though I am about to just start my spring semester of my freshman year, I can already tell Dr. Aagaard will be one of my favorites throughout my college years! She is an AMAZING professor and I highly encourage you to take a course with her at least once. So very helpful with anything you ask of her. She is what other professors should be!!

Shes such a caring and giving person. You can tell she has a passion for what she teaches. I had her for 2 hours and she still managed to keep lectures interesting. Very easy tests, allowed note cards/sheet of paper for them. Easy A if you put in even the slightest effort.

Absolutely loved this class! It's super interesting and you're guaranteed an A with little effort. Can use note cards on all exams, few assignments, very nice & caring professor, & interesting content. Word of advice: don't buy the book. Bought it and didn't open it once. Everything you'll be tested over comes from her lecture, don't waste ur $$!

Dr. Aagard is a queen. She knows her stuff backwards and forwards, and she cares a lot about her students. Shes not afraid to cover a single topic in human development-religion, sexuality, gender, and at one point-her own experience with an eating disorder. If you want to love yourself and other people more, take her. Shes the best.

She is more than a professor, she is so caring and I never felt like I was in class, but instead just experiencing the information. She gives awesome feedback, truly just very inspiring, if you can take her your should, she'll change your perspective on so many things.

Dr. Aagaard is my favorite professor that I've had so far. Her lectures are long but you get a 10 minute break in the middle (for the two hour class). The lectures are detailed but interesting. She loves to be asked questions and goes out of her way to find answers. VERY intelligent and caring. You have a daily quiz and required field experience.

I LOVE Dr. Aagaard. You have daily quizzes but all of the questions come from optional Blackboard assignment so they're super easy as long as you do the work before class. Her lectures are super detailed & I've never had an issue studying for her class as her notes cover EVERYTHING you need to know, tbh the textbook it useless.

This was honestly one of my favorite classes. Dr. Aagaard is so much fun to listen to and she makes the content very interesting. She's also very caring and lenient about turning in assignments. Be sure to take notes and do the optional quizzes and you should get an easy A. I would take her over and over if I could!

One of the most personal and caring professors I have ever had, she will help you with anything you ask. Very clear she cares about the lives of students. She will tell many personal stories that are quite touching and almost always relate to the subject matter. Take good notes and do the optional online quizzes as they always show up on exams.

Dr. Aagaard was a fantastic professor. I took her online course and she still made sure to check up on me to make sure I was okay. She is very kind and clearly cares about all of her students. She made the content easy to learn with her powerpoints and made everything interesting.

I took this class Fall of 2019. Dr. Aagaard was one of the most compassionate professors I have ever had. She was willing to work with me when my partner had messed up an assignment, and was very understanding. Take good note, prove you are trying, and you will be fine!

Dr. Aagaard is very involved with the class even though the class is online. She often allows multiple attempts on assignments, and if you did an assignment wrong, she will email you about what you did wrong and will allow you to redo the assignment.

Dr. Aagaard is a great professor. She turns an otherwise boring class into something enjoyable to learn about. Her assignments are not difficult, nor are her quizzes. She is a great and truly caring individual and I love having class with her, it makes my mornings better. Just pay attention, take notes, and listen thoroughly and you'll do well!

I am so sad to hear that she is retiring after spring semester, I have absolutely loved having her as my professor.

She is very understanding and a great grader. Most of what she talks about is genuinely interesting to anyone. Just listen to her and follow directions, you can't fail.

Dr. Aagaard is probably my favorite professor I have had in the college of education. She is astonishingly smart and you can see that in her lectures. She cares about the material she is trying to provide us as future educators, and I have learned a lot from her.
