greaaaaaat teacher! shes so nice and "focus". i started attending the class in the second week and soon i can make up my works. in her class i feel so relax and learn lots of things i never notice before! i really wanna take her class again. Highly recommended.

Difficult, but I learned a lot.

She is a great teacher! She expects you to come to class and do your work. She is very open in her office hours. There are no tests but a bunch of quizes which are all online so you should pass all of them because you have the book in front of you. Highly Recommended.

SUPER nice teacher. While you definitely do have to show up for class, she makes things interesting enough that you don't really mind. As long as you actually do your work, show up, participate, and read, you should have no problem getting an A.

Loved Loli so much! Amazing teacher who just cares about a students education. She'd always say "as long as you're learning." Speak up in class to keep conversations going, read the books, show up to class and you will more than likely get an A. Online quizzes are super easy and she offers tons of extra credit! Yeah she's strict on attendance, but she just cares about you. class is almost always fun, you play a lot of games for extra credit and she likes teaching with colors as well. Truly excellent professor. Easily one of the most compassionate people I have ever met, let alone professor. It is clear that Loli really wants students to learn. Absolutely suited for teaching and one of my fave profs of all time.

I'm taking the Freshmen Comp class with Lolli right now and she is awesome! She always tries to get boring, English lecture to be fun and at times cracks jokes with the students. She cares about the students & always encourages to see her if there are any questions you have. If you show up, try, and want to learn, her class will be great.

Loli is so far my favorite teacher. She's very helpful, caring but also tough at the same time. She's always there if you need help. Also, She's funny, humorous and tries to make the typical "boring english lectures" fun, or just admits that it'll suck but promises it'll be over soon!

One of the best professors to ever set foot in Normandale. Her teaching style is effective and the care she gives to her students is profound.

Loli's class is simple, but challenging. Attendence is graded daily for points for my class it was 7pts per day. So if you attend class you will pass this class.Easy A if you are good at english. My husband missed a whole week for military leave and she didnt offer any help to makeup the points so dont miss class. Otherwise great teacher!

I usually do not go out of my way to write reviews about teachers,however, when given the option of taking a class with Lolli, it would be in one's best intrest to enroll in her class. It was refreshing to have a teacher who is enthusiastic about the topic and also cared about individual student success.

Loli is a fun teacher! She wants everyone to understand what she is teaching. All of her quizzes are online and she gives a lot of attempts to get a good grade! Loli is an excellent teacher who is easy to approach with questions. Showing up to her class is mandatory, along with bringing the proper items to class. If you show up to class everyday and take notes, you will do fine. I passed her class with an A. :)

Had her for ENGL 1188/1189. EASY. She's awesome. She does take attendance though so go or else you're grade will be effected. You do write papers; usually she will let you revise the first one. I got A's on all my papers and as well as both classes!If you want to save money on books, get them at your local library! There's lots of group work.

Very nice instructor. She always welcomes students to come to her office for additional helps and very clear on assignments.

She's great!! Hard class but I learned a lot. You have to attend class and write longer paper. You also have to read many chapters out of evergreen. The final exams were hard but she gave us study packets and we went over it in class. Shes funny too. She actually made the class fun.

This was my second time taking her class. I needed only two credits to graduate, and she offered to help me. At the end of the class, she gave me her textbook as a gift. She is just a phenomenal professor and a great person. I personally did not like Literature, but she completely changed my mind.

Seriously hands down to one of THE best profs at Normandale. she is very caring and approachable. If you want to get better in writing and a prof that cares enough about you to go above and beyond, she is the one. Highly recommended

Loli is an amazing professor! She is very clear in the RULES and GRADING. You know what is expected of you before you even show up for class. (grading rubrics readily available) For those that are cruel to even give HER a harsh grade this semester, SHAME ON YOU! I won't go into detail. She sacrifices for her students and deserves more credit!

2 stories to read, 1 quiz and 3 discussion posts a week makes for a tedious but simple class. She grades kind of tough for the first couple weeks, but she eases up quickly. There are no big tests, just quizzes and papers. She is really understanding and will help you out if you need it, though the class is very easy.

she actually made me like comp. I went into the class thinking I'd hate it. Didn't happen. She's witty and easy to approach. She knows her stuff and she'll help you get it too. One of the BEST English professor you can find at Normandale. She made me like writing, idk she is always there for you if you need help even beyond school work. Loli was a great teacher who really had an interesting class. The short stories she chose were almost always intriguing and fun to read. Also, the analysis/papers of the short stories were not too hard, and Loli is always open to helping students. One of my favorite classes at Normandale-- would strongly recommend.

Even though this class was online, it was obvious that the students respected and adored her. Her passion for teaching was evident as a student that passion was passed onto her students.

Loli is awesome person, super happy and always wants her students to understand and really learn. lectures were boring, wish i would have taken it online, class time was kind of a waste of time. if taken online, go in to office hours and get to know her. offers tons of extra credit, only have 3 major papers and some quizzes you do online at home.

Loli really cares about the students, but she also wants to be fair to everyone... so when an assignment is due, IT IS DUE! NO EXTENSIONS. She is silly and fun to talk to but is a bit disorganized; she takes forever to update grades. She gives great feedback and offers a lot of extra credit through games or turning in things early.

I am a PSEO student, and was going to miss a week due to a trip that I went on with my high school, and she worked with me so that I would be able to complete my work before I left for my trip! Best freshman comp teacher honestly. She is super passionate about helping you. Barely any homework except for some quizzes and basically all you do is work on how to perfect your essays. For the papers in the class its really easy to get a good grade cause of the rough draft feedback. ATTENDANCE IS IMPORTANT!! missing a day, you lose mad points

I took this class online. At first it was a bit overwhelming but once you get into the swing of things it is smooth sailing. For online, she doesn't accept late work no matter the exception, which makes sense because we get all the due dates at the beginning of the course. Dillon is a great professor. I had her for online freshman comp and she was great! This was my first online class and she let me come in and talk to her about what was expected. She is a pretty easy grader and assignments and tests weren't too hard. She encourages you to use your notes on the tests and quizzes. Loved her!

Loli is so sweet and cares so much about her students. There are not many lectures but when she does TAKE NOTES. All the quizzes are online and you can use your notes. BUY THE BOOK & READ IT because that is what all the quizzes are on, and She gives out extra credit for just about everything. She makes you do A LOT of drafts & pre-writing on papers

I took this class online and it was just as expected for an online English class. She gives good feedback on every paper. If you don't like your grade she lets you correct your paper and turn it back in for extra credit. Try to meet up or take the class with people you know so you can have a study buddy or group. Overall easy if you put in the work

This was my first online class, so I was a bit timid going into her class. However, after I got passed the first 2 weeks of the online routine it was not stressful at all. Mrs. Dillon gives lots of feedback on all of your work and responds to all emails promptly. Despite ever meeting her in person, she is a very kind and sweet person.

Loli is super sweet and she genuinely cares about you and your life. She has great lectures and she explains things in a way that you'll catch on easily. Her conferences are super helpful as well. 11/10 would take this class with her again.

Loli is an excellent professor and I'm so glad I took her course. The class can be hard at times and she can be slightly a tough grader on papers but if you get a bad score on a first draft, she will change it to the grade of the final (which can only go up). She offers great help and is very kind. Many extra credit opportunities. I recommend this.

She has a few rules, don't test them: Show up, Turn in your work on time, NO PHONES. However, she is AMAZING! Please take her - you will learn so much! I'm so thankful for Loli, she is the best professor I've had at Normandale (I'm currently in my 4th semester). I wish there were more english courses on my degree path so I could take her again.

Prof. Dillon is extremely kind and understanding. This class was a breeze, requiring two brief short story readings, a quiz, and a discussion post every week. There are only two assignments, a midterm paper and a presentation, outside of these weekly assignments. I definitely recommend taking a class with Dillon and this one is a good choice.

The most amazing professor I've had a Normandale so far, she genuinely cares about her students and she wants for them to do well. Class wasn't too difficult for me because she would give detailed feedback on essays before the final day to turn them in.

The classwork isn't hard, there is just a lot of quizzes and discussions. If you read the stories though, you will be fine. She gives amazing feedback and she clearly wants you to succeed.

I took Loli's english comp class in spring of 2020. It was an in person class and attendance was mandatory. We did 3 papers all semester and had other homework assignments that we did as well. She really cares and gives good feedback. Personally, I actually really appreciated her going over sentence structure. Great teacher!! Very thorough.

Super nice and cares about you personally. I had Loli for Hybrid, and she responded very quickly. She pushed back a lot of deadlines through the whole semester. You can check in with her for your paper at anytime. Took a while to put things into the gradebook, but her class is definitely worth taking.

Loli is a very caring professor who gives great feedback on our essays and encourages interaction between peers. There were moments when it did take a very very very long time to get feedback on our essays, but I would look past that as there was a lot going on at once for her. Either way, I would highly recommend her for learning college writing.

Even though she does take a long time to grade things, she is a very caring teacher. The feedback she gives is very nice and helps me throughout the course. As long as you read the things she assigns then you are good and follow the syllabus.

Loli is very involved and cares about all her students. She shares a lot of personal stories and advice, sometimes getting a little carried away. She ended up cutting a paper and changing the final exam because of how her timing carried out. She connects with her students a lot and if something is modified, she makes it better for the students.

Loli is a very caring teacher who takes the time to get to know all of her students. Show up to class for good lectures and extra credit opportunities. She waited until the last week of class to grade everything which left me very unsure of my final grade and how I was progressing in the class. Great teacher, just be prepared to work hard.

Instructor Dillon often mentions her family and goes into detailed stories about her life outside of teaching for a personal connection. She teaches the material well with unique strategies to remember it. She takes a while to grade, and waited til the last days to add a lot of the assignments. STRICT deadlines, most work done on your own time.

STRICT grader with STRICT deadlines, BEWARE. The total points for everything is around 1,000 or less. Loli is an amazing, hilarious, and relatable professor; she cares for her students and shares resources/feedback, but it was such an anxiety-filled experience. Tough love is her teaching style. Choose a different teacher if there is an easier one.

I would recommend you take her class; she is nice, caring, and will give chances to make up missing homework. Just show up to class and do all your work, you will get an A in her class. There is just one test for the semester and you can take it as many times you want until the due date. Btw, others say she grade slow, but I got all grades on time.

Loli is very forgiving and a wonderful personality, however her grading takes a very long time so be prepared to wait weeks on receiving a grade/feedback.
