Good professor, gives a clear presentation of the information
Good teaching style. Tough but worth it!
hard class but she always makes a big effort to help out students either during class or during ofice hours. great with making boring material more easily understood.
very helpful
She is kind of hard but she knows what she is talking about. She gives LOTS AND LOTS of work but the work pays off because you understand it better. Very nice and is willing to help.
Great teacher. one of the best ive ever had
She gives a lot of work, but it is not busy work, it helps you learn the material. She knows what she is talking about! She will answer all questions. She is very nice!
You have to work in this class, but she will help you in any way she can. Really nice professor and I appreciated her and her class
One of the best professors at this campus. She gives real life examples to help you understand the terminology of economics.
very nice teacher
Really great teacher! A lot of work has to be done for the class, but she is definately the professor to take it with. She will sit and explain EVERYTHING to you until you finally understand.
absolutely hated econ because i didn't understand anything but she sure tried hard to help me! she's a wonderful teacher and gives lots of homework and projects so your grade isn't soley based on tests.
I think that Paff is a good teacher. Yes, I think we all think that she is hard, but she gives you work and keeps you going. If you don't want to do a lot of work, don't take her, but if you want to keep up with what is going on, I think that she's good
Very helpful, and gets you to understand the material
This class is cake! all you have to do is show up and do the work. I haven't read a chapter from the book in the past two months and I'm still geting an A.
She was one of the best teachers I have ever had. I didnt like econ until I had this class. She made sure I understood everything and I ended up getting an A in the class. Do the work and you will be fine.
Mrs Paff is a GREAT professor...i had her for ECON 2 and ACCTG 211...she gives a TON of assignments but it helps you understand the material and it forces you to read the book so you are not screwed on the exams.
Dr. Paff give a lot of work, but if you do it all you can pass the class. You have to read for the quizes (which are very easy) and she gives other work for points. She makes the class so you can get low test grades, even failing ones, and still pass!
Paff has got to be one of the best teachers i've ever had. She has spunk and knows her stuff. If you're taking any of her classes, be prepared to work. She gives lots of homework but it's worth it in the end. An amazing teacher
makes you do a lot of work but it is worth it when you get your grades, if you don't do the work you will regret it when the test comes around
one of the best teachers I have come across. Very helpful . Gives a lot of work so that you remember your stuff well.
Paff was the worst teacher you could ever have... She went too fast and has the most annoying voice ever!! Don't take Paff if you hate doing work and want to pass econ.
Definetly my hardest Prof this semester, but that's because she wants you to learn. Homework or 10 pt quiz due every class. The course is hard, but if you need this course take her's. She wants everyone to learn the material and IS MORE THAN WILLING to help you understand in class or office hours.

Gives a lot of work, but all worth it!! You can count on homework every night, its a great studying tool, it keeps you on track!! I definitely recommend you take this professor!!
Paff is a great professor who is always willing to help out her students. However, there is a quiz every class and a lot of times you'll have 2 assignments due each class. Make sure you do the homework properly and attend class because it will boost your grade significantly. Study for the tests!
Paff really knows how to teach, but in order to pass and learn a lot you must give an effort. Do the homework or you will get left behind. Paff makes sure she is available outside of class to help with anything. For a good grade, show up, do the homework, and study. NOT A CLASS FOR LAZY PEOPLE!
Avoid her if you can...
Easy class. Just do the homework and go to class and you are guarenteed an A. If you slack though, you will not do good. Homework is easy and graded on effort, not correctness.
The worst teacher I have ever had at Berks. Had no respect for the students.
The best teacher I have ever had at Berks. She really knows her stuff, teaches good, and cares about her students. I like her style, you do what she tells you to and you will get an A. Do the homework and study hard.
She's a great teacher, knows her stuff. She covers a lot of material quickly. GO TO CLASS!! Attendance is one of the most important things in this class. A lot of work needed to do well in her class
Her name is legandary around campus. When you take a Paff class you know what to expect. Lots of homework and constant studying. Not everyone does well in her class but she is a very sincere person. She might come off rugged the first week but- she is consistantly rugged. She knows and loves what she does, calls herself and nerd and loves her kids
She gave riduculous amounts of homework, in her econ and seminar, her teaching skills might work for someone who had already taken an econ class but she expects you to know most of this **** already, and she would constantly talk down to you, avoid this class if you want to pass economics
AMAZING professor, she makes a huge effort to make sure her students understand everything. She also makes up her own examples and very rarely references the book. Got me HIGHLY interested in the subject
she is a ****! if you don't have to take her, DON'T! she gives ridiculous amounts of homework. for all the work she gives it should be a 4 credit class. she is VERY snobby and snooooty. do NOT take her. such a ****!
yes theres a lot of work... but a lot of it ends up on the tests. she warned the class on day one about the work load. quit whining. the crybabies who complain about her attitude are probably the ones doing badly. she's no nonsense.if you actually want to learn something her class is great.
Paff is hard but fair, she warms you that there will be a lot of homework and she is not kidding. If you do your work and study you will do great and learn alot If you are a slacker dont take Paff
this is the worst professor i have ever had. she is very cocky and snooty and doesnt care about her students. she is the kind of teacher that is out to fail you and gives rediculous amounts of homework. her classes and lectures are useless and you will not learn anything from this class or this professor
hard class alot of work. can not stand her voice.
this teacher sucks. if you have the choice not to take her then dont. she doesnt know how to teach. she acts as if the one credit course she teaches is a 4 credit course and give you way too much pointless homeworks to do. and if you dont do it to her liking its a zero. it seems like she trys to fail as many people a possible.
too many hw, and very hard exam. if u can aviod her
Seriously, all the kids giving her bad ratings are probably the slackers in her class. Accounting requires a lot of commitment, and she makes it clear on the first week. You NEED to spend time on this class (lots of homework and assignments) they are not hard, just time consuming. She is one of the best teachers at Berks, just dont slack off.
Absolutely fantastic teacher. Tries her best to make the information clear, interesting, and fun; always checks to make sure we understand. Offers a lot of extra credit opportunities; usually with participation. Always gives you the test questions ahead of time. highly recommend her as a teacher, it's clea she's a big name on campus.
Great professor through she is a bit snooty at times. Explains things clearly and offers to help all the time. The tests are pretty hard.
I do not think this teacher realizes that she's teaching students with course work other than hers. This class has way too much outside work. She has you teach yourself before getting to class. I firmly believe is her job to teach and ours to practice and if were doing all the work outside, why even go to class?
She does make you do work, but overall she is probably one of the best teachers, you will actually learn something. Also, do the extra credit study guide for the tests.
Paff is a goof prof, the only trouble I had with this class is keeping up with all the homework because it's online and sometimes confusing. She goes over everything really well. She gives question pools before each exam and it has the exact questions on it as the exam so DO IT, she gives you points for it. She can be tough but still a good prof.
If you have the choice... do NOT TAKE HER!!!! BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE!!!! If you need econ 102 as a gen ed and you think taking it with her will be an easy A think again. You do so much pointless homework and A LOT OF WORK. Hw is online and confusing. Annoying voice. Expects way too much for a gen ed. Avoid her if you can.
Dr. Paff is a very reasonable, kind, and caring professor. She assigns homework for nearly every class, which gets annoying but helps to boost grades. Usually only 80% homework completion results in a 100% homework grade. She prepares students well for exams. She listens to classes complaints and adjusts course accordingly. excellent teaching skill
Great professor. very helpful. Fast response to inquiries. Dedicated to helping students. Highly recommended. Class is not hard, but it requires a lot of time to complete the assignments.
Thought this course would be difficult, but the only difficult part for this course was just the assignment which was time consuming, but other than that, easy exams...
The assignments are time consuming but if you keep on top of the work, you'll be fine. She's very helpful and responsive to emails. I felt like she truly wanted students to succeed. Textbook & online lessons are clear but you do need to put in the work.
She knows what she is talking about but doesn't explain very well to people who do not understand. Homework every class and not enough time to absorb everything. Good if you're an accounting major. Any other major, including other types of business, this amount of intensity is unnecessary difficult.
Awesome class, but you should expect to be doing homework regularly. The material is not hard, just do your homework.
Really nice teacher , Tries to not make class so boring .Her grading is pretty tough so you must have your A game but over all she's pretty cool
She's a good teacher, knows what she's talking about. But she doesn't teach you, you teach yourself. If you say something, she'll say you're not taught things in the real world, you have to figure them out. Well yes, this is true, but we're not paying thousands of dollars in the real world. We're paying you a lot. Teach.
Go to class, be prepared to write a lot on tests
easiest class iv yet to take at penn state! do her summer session
She is a good teacher, but not as a person. She always pretended be to a really good person. she doesn't like to be bothered. If you are have question or things to bother her. things like change the grade or questions. she would be really upset with you. She knows what she is teaching, but horrible personality.
great teacher. very helpful. a decent amount of homework. you will learn a lot in this class. very eye-opening.
Dr. Paff is a great professor. She really understands her students and tries to help as much as she can. Accounting is not an easy subject, but she makes it easier to understand. WATCH THE SCREENCASTS! They help out a lot and it's basically what she covers in class. The homework is 100% if you attempt to do it, and do so on time. Overall fun class.
Dr. Paff is a good professor albeit a tough grader, I didn't finish with a good grade but I'm not bitter about it, I enjoyed being in the class. Dr. Paff is very personable and likeable which also makes class more enjoyable. You will feel like you could approach her with a question at any time.
Focuses on students understanding material. Homework and test practices every week. Lectures and podcast learning is based on students. Professor will not force you to come to class or learn. Be prepared to teach yourself a lot. However, she always enforces coming to office hours or the learning center for help. Very resourceful and will help you.
One of my favorite professors ever! She is very kind & super smart, you can tell she knows her stuff! Economics class is tough but accounting class not too bad, makes you work for the grade you get but is super good at responding and offering extra help to students. Lots of extra credit opportunities.
She is a really nice person, and she is really dedicated to making her teaching more effective. If you do the hw, watch the screencasts, and pay attention in class, then you shouldn't get below an A-
Prof Paff was fine in a lot of ways, but just way too hard. She's obviously very well-versed in her field, but she doesn't do the best job at explaining things, and I found myself teaching myself a lot of stuff. If you ask her a question, she kinda treats you like an idiot for asking it. She otherwise is very nice, but teaches a very hard class.
She gave lots of insight into economics and gave lots of information that makes you think. She was very helpful with the work and helped clean any confusions. Lots of the homework was to read a chapter and take notes. The classwork wasn't busy work and she actually connected the work to the outside world and showed us why we need to learn it.
Best professor I've had. Amazing lady, great teacher, caring, funny, keeps lectures moving and interesting. Always teaches and then we all go through problems together, gives students time to work on things in class and then work through any mistakes with her. Never any surprises on tests, always told us what was expected. Responds to emails fast!!
Its her way or the highway.
way too much homework, great professor but if you want to be glued to a textbook for an entire semester I recommend not taking this class. she really is a great and caring professor though and lots of fun to listen to, but she just made accounting the most tedious class i've ever taken.
Get ready to do the work and put a good amount of effort in but if she can tell you put effort in she pretty much just gives you an A. I took her online summer course and it was supposed to be asynchronous but we had graded group discussions where you were expected to contribute A LOT to.
Endless homework and reading, everything has to be done her way or its incorrect, dont miss class or you will fall very behind. Doesn't answer questions well, really just re-frases the questions and makes you feel dumb.
Professor Paff's class is entertaining to be in but her assignments are very difficult. She expects you to understand how to do everything without actually teaching it to you. She is very smart and respectable, but a tough grader. She won't show you how she wants a report or assignment done, but gives you a lower grade if it is not what she wanted
Paff leaves the students to do the work however they think is right, but criticizes everyone's work if it's not exactly how she wanted it. It's up to you to know how to figure everything out with basic assistance from her. Be prepared for hours of work.
Tough grader, expects all the work to be done how she wants it. But does give extra credit if you participate, usually simple. A lot of reading and assignments every week. A lot of work outside the class. If you miss a day, you will fall behind. Tough grader on certain things. But she is nice and will help if you ask her and show effort.
Wonderful person & Prof! I disagree with people saying she's a tough grader. She gives out fair partial credit on exams. She created the free online text, VERY clear course/grade expectation, nice person. There's definitely work to be done but it's manageable (nothing more than a HS class). No reason not to get an A+ and she's wonderful! Take her.
Dr. Paff is a fantastic professor. She is not overly hard with homework and gives us access to a free online textbook. She is always concise and answers questions very well.
A slightly above average professor. She provides the textbook online so no need to buy a textbook. Lots of reading however and need to write/submit notes for the readings assigned. Exams are just like the stuff you do in class. Has opportunities for small extra credit. Just do the work and you will be good.
Paff made me enjoy Accounting 211. She is the best professor I've ever had. Teaches very clear and goes into great detail. I wish I could take her for all my classes. Just pay attention from day 1 and make sure you understand the practice questions and you'll be just fine for the exams.
Dr Paff is a caring individual. She created an environment of what life will look like after college. She had work from home days if you wanted or class giving flexibility. She gives the best feedback out of every professor I have had at Berks. Class is so useful for any business major. You enhance your communication skills, excel, and more.
This class is test heavy and lots of outside of class work. You have to read the chapters that she will then teach in the next class. You have to figure everything out on your own. You should go to class, although it is mandatory, because when you don't she sorta calls you out for it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!! Extremely difficult grading.
I enjoyed being in her class. Work was not too difficult, and she explained everything very well. The only issue is how heavily weighted the exams were.
