Dr. Kun is the fairest and most knowledgeable prof ever! She is one of the rare profs who gives deserving marks including A+s!!! Overall, she is a very enthusiastic and charismatic person who truly cares about her students!

Probably the most interesting person I've ever met. Awesome teacher that cares about the students. Always encouraging in tutorials. And although it's hard to understand at times, gotta love the accent.. could never forget the names of characters because of the way she said them.

An excellent professor, seems to care about everyone and everything, has the best stories and goes over the material extremelly well, very nice in and out of class.

Her lecture notes were terrible, and had no relevance to things we were tested on. It's hard to understand her sometimes because of her accent, but she is very helpful if you need anything from her. The class can be difficult depending on the T.A. you get.

AMAZING CLASS!! Loredana is a very friendly and easy going prof. she really wants students to do well and loves what she does. her lectures were a bit on the boring side but her personality made up for it. very sweet and caring woman. in a class of over 100 she made time for each of us.

Extremely approachable...generally nice person in and outside of class...accent a bit tiring after awhile...very hard exams, hard tests too.

She is one of the best, if not the best profs. Knows her stuff, cares about the student, is very fair and passionate about what she teaches.

I have had some pretty good profs at York but Loredana is by far the best!!!!! If you get into her tutorial its even better, she drops heavy hints about what is going to be on the test, and she is a fairly easy marker. She bought the class coffee, she is so nice, I love Loredana!!!

She is a great prof. Make sure to interract in class until she knows your name as it helps. She is great on giving hints on what will be on exams. Very passionate about tearning and student's learning.

BEST PROF EVER... she really is. she tries to learn everyone's name and really cares about every single person in her class. I feel like I learn so much in her classes, but am also able to do really well in them. She is a huge asset to York.

AMAZING PROF!! she really tries to help u out and offers so much insight on roman and greek myth. take this course and you will fall in love with it and her. the only thing i didn't like about her is that she tends to spoonfeed the answers.. ofcourse that may not be a bad thing for some =) If u have her in tutorial U WILL LOVE IT!

Took the 'Classical World' with Dr Kun. Great prof, loves to teach & wants to be a friend to you as well. Exams were straightforward and while class attendance isnt mandatory i highly recommend it b/c she often mentions what is important specifically for the upcoming exam. really good about giving extra time for essays. talks a lil fast in lecture.

Yes, she is the nicest prof you will find at york or anywere else probably. genuinely good hearted person - very kind to me when I was having a hard time. I wish she spent more time on analysis and less on summary in her lectures... people should lay off the accent... she speaks like 12 languages.

Prof. Kun is by far the best professor at York! She loves teaching, loves the students, and is extremely knowledgeable. Students should seriously lay off the accent, who doesn't have one in this country, and at least she knows languages!!. She is prepared, enthusiastic, and understanding. More profs should be like her. I highly highly recommend her

So nice, really trully understanding. she says "hi" with a nice big smile everytime you walk in LATE. and says "I understand some of you work and have things going on - come in come in" It's great. But she doesn't like to be a push over.

Loredana is an amazing prof, i wish i could take all of my courses with her. Every time i bump into her she says hi and still remembers me, prob not my name though. She is really passionate about what she teaches and is very friendly towards the students. Shes so understanding as well. I had her as a TA which was even better!

She is a very nice woman and a very understanding professor. However, listening to her lectures was a pain because of her thick accent. I had a hard time understanding what she was saying. I stopped going to class 2 months into the year and I still got a B+ because you just have to do the readings and go to tutorial to do well. Good course overall.

A great person AND a great prof!! Extremely knowledgeable and interesting. Yes, she has an accent, but it's not like you can't understand her. Only people who seem to have a problem are the slackers that come uprepared and are too busy chatting or on FB. I suggest taking a course with her, cuz she's one of the few great profs at York!

I had her for two courses. The best professor you will ever meet at York. She is caring, her lectures are extremely interesting, and she is always ready to listen to your inputs or thoughts and appreciate it! The materials are not too easy but she readily acknowledges those who work hard. I had the best time at her class!

I love this prof. She's an amazing person who truly cares about her students. When she walks into the class shes ALWAYS happy! This class is a guarantee A! Just go to class, do the readings and understand main concepts and you should do well! Great first year course especially to satisfy gen.ed requirements. Take this class you will not regret it!

Great Prof. Her lectures are pretty basic, just read the text and your fine. Take her notes down. Great class, and she can be funny as well. Tests and Final is pretty basic, right off her notes.

sweetest woman ever. get her as a t.a! even though the lec & tut were at 8:30 am, she made it enjoyable. course was all about greek/roman stories. in tut,we watched hercules & troy, bought those who never had breakfast tim hortons, always smiling. go to lec & write notes bc it's all on the exam. easy course load, very easy to get a b+ w/ no effort!

It was a pleasure to have her as my Prof for both lectures and tutorials. She knows all of her lectured materials inside out and helps you whenever you are stumped on key facts or essays! She is very polite, humorous, supportive, attentive, and will always accommodate you whenever any legitimate personal situation arises!

It's simple, you do your work, and you'll do fine. There are no ticks in her class, you're not in danger of being hoodwinked. The only complaint I have is that she sometimes dosent answer the question I ask her. I suppose its a bit of a language barrier. Oh and don't EVER skip classlectures. Even if you're dying.

Participate in tutorial and do the readings. If she notices youre doing the work and showing up to tutorial, youre getting an A+

Amazing prof! She's really kind and seeks to help those who she sees putting gin an effort. Class attendance is necessary, tests are very straight forward and content is discussed beforehand.

Don't judge too quickly! This prof has a strong accent and her lectures may seem boring at first but once u get past all that, you will see a woman who is super passionate abt the material. She was my tutorial leader as well and that helped. Participating in class will get you on her good side and she'll automatically be more helpful and welcoming.

Dr. Loredana Kun is such a sweetheart and truly cares about her students. Although she may seem intimidating to some, she truly means to help her students achieve the grades they deserve. There is a lot of reading, but her tests and essays are graded quite fairly. I strongly recommend joining and participating in her class(es).

Professor Loredana is such a sweetheart. Please ignore the last 3 ratings. Her accent is thick but after a few encounters with her, you hardly notice it. You WILL pass the class only if you do the readings, which are straightforward. The only way of failing this class is not attending tutorials and not doing the readings.

Dr. Kun is honestly the sweetest lady! She does have a thick accent, but you won't even register it after a few lectures. You don't need to go to the lectures to pass, but you NEED to read the material. Her tests aren't terribly hard, but if you study you will do well. She told me that the only way to fail her course is to never show up! Love her!

I'm taking Huma 1105 with prof Kun over the summer. I was dreading taking a summer course but I love this prof and the course. You learn a lot. There are a lot of readings but prof Kun knows her stuff and explains the material well. She teaches with a passion and is an amazing prof. She's also a fair grader and gives a lot of solid tips and advice

Best huma course and best prof to take a huma with at York. Huma courses are reading heavy and hard with mean boring profs. But dr Kun makes the lectures and materials engaging and interesting. You need to attend lectures and tutorials. Pay attention and you'll do well! She gives a lot of tips and is a fair marker and helpful. I love her!

I was personally not interested in huma classes, but after being in Prof Kun's class, it really sparked my interest and intellectual curiosity. She is a wonderful prof and human being. She is knowledgeable and can really teach. She also cares about the well-being of her students. I highly recommend her and this class. I learned a lot.

A lot of reading to do, as well as 2 essays, 2 tests and a final. Participation in tutorials counts. She has a thick accent with slightly boring 2 hour lectures.

She's pretty nice. The formats of the tests changed this year, so they're all short answers. For the test you HAVE to mention and focus on the Themes and what not, otherwise you wont do as good. Read sparksnotes along with the books, so you get a full understanding. If you have her for tutorials, try to participate more and she'll favour you.

Depends on your TA. She does get off track and give trivial examples but its not annoying. A lot of long readings though. Have to be good at analyzing literature to be able to get a good mark

Id take her class again in a heartbeat. Smart, interesting, caring and loves to teach. Fluent in English with a European accent. Not thick unless youre a different race and or only speak English and live under a rock with no multicultural experience. Class is on par with similar huma ones re required readings and difficulty. Not a bird course.

Im loving this class. This is my fave course and she is my fave prof so far. Great prof and sweet lady whos inspirational and knows her stuff. The course is not super easy tho. U gotta have a scholarly/not theological approach so its new to me, but she explains it well and teaches with passion. U gotta do the readings and come prepared to class.

I love prof kun. She is really an amazing and caring professor. She is approachable and really cares about the students and clearly wants them to do well. I love her down to earth attitude- she is so smart and yet takes the time to not make anyone feel silly even if they ask silly questions in class. She is a really sweet lady and great professor.

Love love love professor Kun. She is super approachable and considerate. If you read a quick synopsis of that weeks book of discussion you'll get the gist of everything. I had her as a TA and she was an easy marker. Make sure you know the stories however as there are discussion questions given. Super considerate and really approachable professor!

This was one of the easiest courses I'd ever taken despite it being a year course and it's definitely because Professor Kun was such a gratuitous marker and caring prof. There were two tests and two essays, one of each per semester and that was all. As long as you do the reading and ask for feedback as much as possible, you'll do extremely well.

Greek and Roman heroes are pretty interesting by themselves, but she made them even more so. Her lectures were hilarious and entertaining. Her tutorial assignments catered to everyone, switching between short answers, debates/discussion, presentations, and skits. She offers feedback on tests and essays, which helped me raise my mark.

Professor Kun is one of the most sweetest and caring professors I have had in my past 3 years. Her class was fairly easy, do the readings and show through your work that you have knowledge of her material. She's a fair marker, if you put in the effort your mark will be rewarding. Amazing prof who is genuine and caring and wants you to do great.

Professor Kun is passionate about what she teaches and cares about her students. She posts the slides for the lecture, often along with an audio recording, so that students who can't make it to the lecture don't miss out. However, there is a lot of reading. It's a new play every week and you need to read about 70% them to do well.

Professor Kun is really nice, however to pass her class you must do the readings. She really appreciates when her students do the reading before class and particapte. I think shows her the student cares about the class which make likes the students.

Dr Kun really cares about her students and her content! I had a great rapport with her just by showing up, having my camera on and participating in class. Lots of readings, so keep up and youll do fine. She LOVES if you read your assignments out to her which is almost guaranteed an A+. Also if youve read the PJO books, it will help you a bunch.
