Very easy course that you can get by without going to class. However, lectures contain experiments and studies not mentioned in the book. Very helpful prof willing to answer questions, and she's always on top of the discussion board. Although her lectures can be a bit boring, the fact that she is extremely beautiful might help you pay attention.

Had Lorena for this class and 3103. Great prof, likes getting the class involved with discussions. Very straight forward exams, no surprises.The txt book elaborates on her slides, know the slide info and you're good. Always willing to help and explain further. You can tell she really loves teaching and wants you to understand and do well.

This is the easiest class. I recommend students to attend her lectures because she emphasizes things that will be on the exam, if she says, "take note" or something similar, highlight that and never forget the info because guaranteed it'll be in the exam. Read the book and understand concepts based on her slide presentation and you'll get an A+!

This class was great! The slides were very informative, Professor Rucci made lectures interesting and told you eactly what to study and what would be on the exam! Midterm's were very easy and if you have questions she is more than happy to answer them! Attendance isn't mandatory but it deffinitely will help you out a lot.

Spoke clearly, slides were straight-foward and the midterms were a breeze if you paid attention in class. Although her cases and experiments were not from the textbook. She is gorgeous. Recommend you take any classes with her.

Lorena will always stay to answer questions after class. She is VERY clear as to what will be on her exams. Go to class EVERYONE of them. She tells you exam questions and gives lots of info that is not on slides or in textbook. Also, exams have questions from textbook that were not discussed in class, so read it! Lorena's class was overall a great class. Attending class is somewhat mandatory before exams she gives hints what to focus on and she puts up slides that you cant find in the textbook.However, if you study and attend class it is an easy class.

She occasionally starts the class with a brain-teaser to get you warmed up, and they're pretty fun to do. She uses the textbook a lot, so as long as you study class notes and the textbook and attend class, you'll do just fine!

Absolutely amazing prof. Course material is so interesting and Lorena somehow makes it even more interesting. She is so easy to listen to. She gives you TONS of hints as to what you will need to know for the exams each class as well as closer to the date of the exam. My absolute favourite prof, beauty and brains! She is amazing, she reminds me of eva longoria :), attendance is advisable and she knows how to make you understand. She can go fast sometimes but slows down when you ask her to, she made the class really easy for me,big difference from when i took 1001, i highly recommend her !!!!!

Great professor! She did a great job explaining and giving examples for each new concept. Stats can be challenging but she made it easy to understand and was good at responding to questions. Take it slow, practice solving the problems she gives and the ones in the book and you will fly through this class.

Lorena does a great job teaching the class. She makes dry subjects rather wet. Plus she's very easy on the eyes.

I've taking two of her classes, and she is a super friendly professor, she does a good job trying to make sure everyone doesn't fall asleep in class since the topic is pretty dry. She gives thousands of examples and is pretty fair when it comes to quizzes or the final exam..ALL OPEN BOOK/LAPTOP! she really tries to make sure everyone understands

HELLA HOT! I would recommend taking any class with Lorena, not only is she engaging and very clear about what she is teaching but she is absolutely mesmerizing to look at! Very fair when it comes to marking and she is clear as to what she is going to put on the exams.

Great professor! I had Professor Ruci for PSYC 1002 and again for PSYC 2002. HSe explains thing very clearly and shows you the logic behind the concepts and how everything is connected making it easy to learn and apply instead of just having to blindly memorize and punch things in. Found her lectures a bit dry for PSYC 1002 but PSYC 2002 was great!

Had Lorena for Stats and Personality psych. She's nothing to write home about, but she's very fair and obviously pretty hot. As much as I wasn't super wowed by her lectureteaching style, she is the reason I passed stats with an A- (I SUCK at math). She was always very clear and went over stuff a lot to make sure everyone was on the same page.

She's a great prof. Clear cut when it comes to her lecturing. It's not imperative to take notes but it's definitely useful to expand upon her slides. Tries to get the class to participate when she poses questions or example scenarios. Oh, and she's really pretty. (Don't get distracted though.)

Professor Ruci is extremely clear on testable material. She will always point out specifically important concepts and takes time before exams to emphasize the most important class material. If you attend lectures, keep up with reading, and be vigilant with what she tells you it is easy to achieve an A in this class.

Honestly its a decent class with some interesting material, however her teaching style isn't my favorite (very dry when she talks during lecture). Lectures are clear thou but they're long and she has a very monotone way of talking so its hard to stay focused.

I loved Lorena! She is very well educated and knows what she's talking about. Overall, lectures were interesting. While attendance isn't mandatory , she gives a lot of clues as to what is on the exam, as well as discusses topics not in the textbook. I found the grades that were given depended on the level of commitment was given to the class.

Took this class during the summer. Found that she doesn't really get to the point of the topic very much, she kind of goes around in circles but her classes are enjoyable. She gives many hints as to whats important (exam-wise), she gives many examples, you have to fill in the details from her lectures. Overall solid prof who knows what she's doing.

Lorena is one of my favourite profs ever! She really knows her stuff and makes it clear what will be on the midterms and exam (only grading criteria), she tells you when stuff WILL be on the exam during lectures, and if you pay attention to bolded words in the textbook and study for exams you'll pass easily! 10/10 would recommend!

Great prof, knows the material inside out. She uses a lot of metaphors so that the material sticks for her students! Doesn't provide a concrete review prior to midterms/exams, but if you attend the lectures she drops not-so-subtle hints that you should remember certain terms or facts because they will re-appear. 75% of the exam q's were lecture.

Lorena is an amazing prof. Her lectures were interesting and enjoyable. She is approachable and provides humour throughout the lectures. I found the exams much easier than I expected them to be. solid prof. im not really the greatest student but i really enjoyed the content of this class. people will say she reads lecture slides so you dont need to go to class but thats so false. she does the slides as talking points and goes into depth into the subjects and points. along with guy lacroix she had to be in my top 5 profs at carleton

Prof Ruci is a great choice if you're a student that attends lectures. She will have material on the exam that is not in the textbook and things in the textbook she may not discuss in class. Therefore you must attend lecture AND read the textbook f you want a good grade. Her exam questions are really straight forward, nothing out of the usual.

People are complaining but they're just lazy. I'm not super smart, but I watched all the lectures & read the textbook content to get an A. The lectures add more information than what the powerpoint says. You just have to do your work. She also changed the quiz format to help struggling students (able to go back to the last questions). She's awesome

If you take notes during the lectures (ask questions if you don't understand a concept), watch/attend each lecture, do the quizzes, read the textbook etc this class is an easy A! I did all of these and finished the class with an A+. Would totally take Prof Ruci next year no doubt.

I'm a simple man, I see Simpsons and Christopher Guest references I give a 5/5. But really, Dr. Ruci is a great prof - super accommodating, and passionate about personality psych. If you take notes, do the readings and watch/attend lectures you'll do fine. Sometimes the audio of the recorded lectures can be hard to hear, but that's only technical.

Read the textbok book, take notes on every topic you read and go to class. It is impossible to pass the course with a high grade without reading the textbook. Just study, you will be just fine.

She's really passionate about her teaching and gets us involved in active learning with examples, demonstrations, polls, etc. For the circumstances we are in, she did an excellent job at making the lectures interactive. I hope I can have her as my prof again. Advice: ensure you fully comprehend the material.

The lectures are really easy to understand. It would be hard to fail this course. The midterm was difficult and the class average was in the high 60's but I've found all of the quizzes to be easy. I don't like the use of proctoring software, but if you don't plan to cheat, it's not too too much of a hassle. She seems to care about her students.

Professor Ruci was excellent. Her online lectures, while long, were clear and she thoroughly explained everything for the most part. There were occasionally things that didn't make sense, but they were rare. She followed the textbook quite closely. The quizzes and exams didn't have many surprises.

Great prof, easy to understand lectures. Definitely read the textbook. The only thing that was unfair was the final exam. 80 questions in 60 minutes. Exams aren't meant to test how fast we can read. We should have time to read each question carefully and time to go back and check answers. Unreasonable exam that marred an otherwise great course

The prof has a lot of engagement in her lectures, and gives away things that will be on exams as a reward for attending. Though, makes it hard when you have to miss one. Great prof!

I loved Ruci! I would 100% choose her for any future psych courses. My biggest piece of advice is show up to every lecture and take notes on what she's saying, not just the slides. Also read the textbook!! (it will drastically improve your mark compared to if you don't read it) If you do that and study hard before the exams, you'll do great!

Prof Ruci's class is challenging, but engaging if you put in the work. The textbook is a must, and Unstuck ai helped a lot with study prep. Exams can be tricky, but the lectures are informative despite being long.

This is one of the easier classes I've taken, and Ruci is a great prof. However, if you do not attend lectures you're screwed for the midterms. The intro psych course exams/midterms are usually all structured to only include material from TopHat, but Ruci includes quotes of what she says in class. Not the worst, but not the best intro psych prof.

This course is super hard, she is great tho. Im not a science girlie so I struggled like I still don't know what a hippocampus is... She's so sweet in class, but her emails are super short and not detailed.

dr. ruci is great, and I would definitely take another class with her. her lectures were fun to go to, she always had some sort of interactive component and she seemed to really care about questions being asked. in terms of attendance the lectures aren't mandatory (tests are based on textbook) but they do help a lot in understanding.

Really great class. Both midterms and exams were multiple choice. However they were definitely not extremely easy based on the multiple choice format alone. They were very situational focused and require you to apply the concepts. Practicing LOTS of multiple choice questions and focusing on the not so obvious details in the textbook helps.

Prof. Ruci is a great prof! Very confident in the material and gives great examples. 2 midterms (60 questions) and and the final (100 questions), all multiple choice, and do focus mostly on topics covered in the lecture but I would definitely read the textbook. Plenty of time to finish midterms and exam, and easy to succeed if you put in the work.

I had her for the fall semester at uOttawa. She is such an amazing prof!!! She always does her best to make the class fun and engaging, AND IT WORKS! Explains things really well and gives really good examples too. My favourite class last semester. Its a 10 out of 10 for me!!

What I found most useful about Dr. Ruci's lectures was that her slideshows were pretty vague, and she covered most of the important content verbally. I learnt quickly that my performance would suffer if I did not take good notes. Overall, you can really tell she is very educated in her field, and she makes the subject sound really fascinating.
