This is not a cakewalk, but it is a very fun class. She is interesting and helpful. Most of the class is student speeches, but it's a blast and the class bonded by the end of semester. I would for sure take her again.

this was an interesting class. it wasnt hard if you just do the speeches. the tests were open note open book take home. we only did two speeches and i had her at night and she left us out at 8 30 instead of 10 every time. overall, she's pretty cool. but a little moody.

I took the accelerated 8 week section which I thought would be too intense. But this prof. made the work very concrete, helped up learn to be less nervous, and made the class as fun as it can be. So, even though I was really scared and shy, I ended up with more confidence in myself and less afraid to speak in public. Take her class.

took the 8 week course, yeah she's easy,nice, we have 2 tests which are from the textbook but she arrives to class so late and sometimes doesn't show up at all! How would you feel if on the day you're supposed to give your speech she doesn't show up and it was your only class and basically wasted gas? Gave you no warning? Be wary of this proffesor.

Excellent teacher. Super nice and funny. Teaches students to apply class concepts to their own lives. She lives about an hour away, hence the periodic lateness (once) or absence (twice). She does try to give as much advance warning as possible. 2 multi choice exams. Minimal homework. Attendance counts.

Wow! Fantastic class. Definitely take this professor. The lectures are almost entirely beyond the text, which made it more interesting. The tests are on the text, so you need to do your reading. We also did some DISC assessments I will use for job fit and resume/interviewing. Definitely take this class. Beautiful & cool professor.

Enjoyed this class, learned about relationships. She teaches 'outside the box.' Lectures do not follow strict textbook but that made it interesting. Two tests, one mid-term plus final. Assignments helped to reveal stuff I wasn't aware so that made it fun. Take this class if you'd like to learn more about relationships. Participate in class if poss.

Once a week class at night. It was easy for the most part. I didn't pass my exams but I did do the homework, ended with a B. It was a class where everyone was involve talking about a certain 'subject.' You can use cheat sheet for exam. Attendance is mandatory for class grade.

Love this professor! Every week I would leave class and feel like I had just had my mind and attitude adjusted for whatever was going on in my life. Lori was indeed a real gem. She is extremely flexible with grading and projects, but also teaches in a manner that makes learning easy and effective. I learned a lot in her interpersonal comm class but I would also take her class again just for the heck of it.

I took her online Comst 35. The online book is required. She has one or two short essay(250 words), a quiz(very easy) every week. A midterm and a final. And that's all. Just don't forget the due day, and you should be ok. BTW, she is really nice and easy to communicate.

ComSt 35 with Professor Lori was an excellent online experience. She was easy to communicate with and offered very clear guidelines to her course. The only thing you must be aware of is that there are assignments due at the end of every week (Mon-Sat) so stay on top of them or your grade will slowly drop. You cannot make up these assignments.

Professor Bergstrom was truly amazing. I took her fall comst35 online class and it was the easiest class ever. You really just gotta be on top of everything and do the DQ's on the due dates and you'll be fine. She is super understanding so if for any reason you can't make it in time let her know and she'll make it work

I took COM35 with Bergstrom and it honestly was the most useful class I've ever had. I'll never forget the useful material she taught us about communication, conflict, resolution, and dealing with relationships. She's so passionate about the subject and clearly cares about her students and does her best to make sure they're grasping the material.

This has been one of the best classes I've taken. She is beyond generous and gives amazing feedback for your work without being harsh or judgmental. This is a safe zone/non judgmental class. Helped a lot with my anxiety of presenting in front of class. She is overall an incredible professor, definitely recommend.

Overall a good class, not too hard and educational. One of the nicest professors I've had for sure. Little tricky balancing class time, canvas tests, and 3rd party website where quizzes and book study happens. But doable.

Awesome Professor and excellent class. All exams are based on PowerPoint and reading which gives you specifics to study. Made herself accessible for questions and concerns especially during the outbreak of covid-19. Take her if you can!! Shes such an inspirational teacher and an easy A.

Professor Lori really cares about her students. I had my semester with her during Covid-19 and she was great. Helping in every way possible and very understanding. The exams and quizzes weren't hard if you studied. The assignments were easy to understand. Even if you don't finish everything on time you should get an A.

Assignments are easy to understand and straightforward. Grading rubrics are available for every assignment so you know what is expected of you. Professor incorporates TED talks and pop culture to make the class more engaging. Course material is applicable to daily life.

Not a hard class you just have to participate in the discussion forums. A bit of reading and a quiz every week. It's all very doable and any other assignments she gives aren't hard. Just put in a little work and you can definitely get an A. Would take again for sure.

I've never written a review for a Professor on here before, but Bergstrom is AWESOME! I took her 6 Week Winter Session, it was intense at times, but along as you participate and do your work. You will be fine! You can tell hat she truly cares about her students, and she responds for your questions really quickly! I highly recommend taking her!

Great class. Weekly discussions, weekly quizzes, and a couple very manageable projects (power points). A little bit of work goes a long way in Lori's class. I'd say it was an easy A overall.

I took her winter class and it was honestly such a good experience! A few projects and discussion boards but it can be easily done. Be ready to read and take notes but it should be pretty easy.

It is an easy class and the things you learn can actually be applied to your life outside in the world teaching you how to better communicate and understand those around you as well as have a better understanding of yourself.

There is a good amount of work for a summer course but its all very doable. 1-2 discussion posts a week sometimes 3. Three tests and a couple quizzes a week through the online textbook! I found Prof. Lori accessible outside of class, as she stated in her office policy. The material is definitely worth learning, as it's relevant to effective communications. The online class structure means you, the student, must be responsible for time management, so you can complete the assignments, reading, discussions, etc.

She's a great, kind professor who was very prompt in responding to emails. Her homework was a typical amount and she gives opportunities for extra credit. The course was easy to follow and quizzes and exams were easy as long as you read the chapters and followed along. Two power point presentations assigned for the semester with easy criteria.

Thought she was going to be strict because of how her curriculum and rubrics are set up. But shes great! Super understanding and explains things well. This was my easiest course this semester! Almost finished with a B but I was able to make an assignment up and ended with an A!

6-week summer course all online and between my other summer classes and work it was pretty easy to keep with this class. The assignments have clear instructions that are easy to follow. There is no heavy workload throughout the course so as long as you keep up with the weekly assignments you'll do great in her class!

I am so grateful for Professor Lori. She was overall amazing and very understanding. I had to request an extension on one of my exams due to a family emergency and she was very understanding and she didnt hesitate to give an extension. She is so amazing and she gives amazing feedback!! 10/10 im enrolling in her other comms class this spring :)

Weekly quiz + reflection&or discussion. like how organized the class is and you can tell she cares about making the workload manageable (less work for midterm/finals so you can focus on studying for the exam). participation is the discussion thing for an online class. only downside is the textbook costs nearly $60, need to take quiz

REVEL! Complete revel on time because it has the weightiest impact on your grade. Next prioritize the discussions as you CANNOT do them after due date. Make sure to follow her guidelines for the discussions and you'll be good. Reflection could be done a week after the due date for half-credit. I recommend doing the reflections on time.

Lori Bergstrom is awesome, her course is super clear and organized, making it easy to follow as a student. As long as you read the textbook (which you should absolutely read, it's incredible), you'll be able to get an A and actually learn something from this class. 10/10, would take Com Stat 35 with Lori Bergstrom again.

Professor Bergstrom is AMAZING. The asynchronous Small Group Communication course consists of weekly revel quizzes, discussions, reflections, and a final presentation (only had to submit slides) at the end. The workload is manageable and the professor is very supportive and answers emails quickly. Take her class!

Took this class online Fall 2023 and it was pretty easy! Assignments are laid out so you know what to do. Exams are based on the textbook. You do chapter quizzes on Cengage for points. There's also super easy discussions. The professor is very nice, take her!

I took this class online Summer of 2024. The syllabus is straightforward and the weekly format for quizzes was great. Professor Lori is always available and responds to emails within 24 hours and is very understanding and willing to help if you hit any hiccups during the semester. Remember as with any subject communication is key.

Professor Lori's COMM35 class was a breeze! The weekly quizzes and discussions were manageable, and the textbook was surprisingly engaging. unstuckstudy was super helpful for study prep too.

Honestly, if you wanna pass this class, just read the material and read the directions! turn in what you need to do on time and you are going to do great in this class. She doesn't overwork you, especially if you do the online courses like me. Def 10/10

There was only 3 speech types we had to do (always provided numerous examples), many quizzes, but they were very easy to complete (let's you use your textbook as a resource: open note), and very flexible! Professor Bergstrom is amazing! I recommend taking her for COMM 11. I did take her for the Winter session for the 6 week course. 6 weeks may sound intimidating, but she has you get comfortable with the pace the course goes over the weeks. 3 speeches, 5 exams, and some quizzes. I can guarantee that this is the most useful course for me since I started school, without a doubt. The teaching materials chosen by the professor are very useful. For me, I have learned more ways to communicate effectively with people, which is very helpful to me. The professor is also very friendly

Professor Bergstrom's small group discussion course was organized, easy to navigate, and uses Revel as the only source for quizzes and tests, which are short and take place weekly. She is very kind, and communicates in a timely manner through email. I wish she was more open to meeting over zoom, but other than that the course was amazing!

Took the online communications class and I would 100% take it again. No meeting time so I put attendance not mandatory but you need to turn in your assignments, which are super simple, in order to receive a passing grade.There were only 3 major speeches that were very simple as long as you read through the materials she posts you will be good

I loved this class! Prof. Bergstrom was clear with what she looked for, gave great examples, and overall wants you to succeed. She gives extra credit with each video presentation too! This was a great communications class, and I would definitely take it again.
