She is an excellent teacher. History is usually the subject I dread, but this semester it was the only class i looked forward to. She makes it really interesting and funny, and is pretty easy when it comes to grading.

She is the best ever! If she could teach every class, I would never have anything below an A again!

Yeah. She's good and it is fun. But there was a quiz once a week (although sometimes she gave he answers) and there is an essay on the exam and two writing assignments. But overall she is good

lori is a great teacher! she makes the subject interesting and makes it sound like she's telling a fun story that you want to pay attention to - quiz every week but only 10 questions and she usually gives u 1 of them - a couple papers but they're not difficult - i would def recommend her!

She is caring, funny, and a great lecturer. What else can a student want. I almost forgot she gives more work in her class then I had combined in all four other classes I took that semister. Coin flip on this one.

she is such a great professor. shes so down to earth and teaches history like its a story. she knows her material well and is really engaged and she teaches it to where she keeps her class interested. take good notes; her two tests come all from notes. her quizzes come from the book but they are pretty straighforward and general. highly recommend

Clune is an awesome teacher. she is highly entertaining. she uses powerpoint, and always makes sarcastic jokes about the famous people she talks about in class. the books are really cheap too, only $30 or so.

I had her over the summer and she was super easy! Her tests are very simple and directly from her notes! I highly reccomend her!

History had always been a boring subject for me, but my outlook on it totally changed when I took her class. :) She is very passionate of what she teaches to her students and definitely have a great sense of humor! A+!One thing though, she's pretty harsh on grading your three writing assignments so make sure you're clear about what you're writing.

Lori was a great professor. Her class is easy especially if you attend class and keep up on notes. She's very animated when she talks and tries to keep history as fun to learn as possible. If you try, you will pass most likely. There are writing assignments and weekly quizzes which are only a couple questions long and are fairly easy. ;D Good Luck.

Easy class. there's a quiz almost every week on blackboard. 3 tests and one paper. test are mostly from lecture notes and some from quizzes you take. she is funny and a nice teacher. would recommend her.

TAKE HER!! She is probably the best professor I have had in my years at Fresno State. She has the best sense of humor! She makes learning history fun. I really recommend taking this class with her, crystal clear on expectations, and is very helpful and nice. I love going to class she makes it fun and interesting, and most important you learn a lot!

Very good teacher, i would recomend taking her class its very interesing. I love the way she teaches the class, you just have to do your work in order to pass the class and read the book but its fairly simple

The added plus is she is great to look at. Intelligent, funny, and alluring is enough to make a good dog want to break its chain.

Professor Clune is one of the best professors I have ever had! She "keeps it real." While I've had her for a methods course I deeply regret not taking any of her other courses. She is well organized, realistic, and her enthusiasm is contagious!

Literally my favorite professor that I've ever had. She's fun, entertaining, informative, and truly loves the material. She goes on rants sometimes, but it often relates back to the material somehow. I'm not even a history major, and I got like a 98% in the class. Definitely take her as a professor if you get the chance.

Good teacher. Made history interesting and a little easier to listen to. You have to actually listen to lectures. The chapter summaries are a little difficult because i (and my entire class) found the text book hard to understand. They require two book. You do not need to get the text book at all, only Real Enemies.

Awesome professor! She is hilarious and makes history very interesting. The class itself isn't too difficult but since the midterm and final (EASY!) are based on the lectures, attendance is mandatory. Definitely recommend this class.

Best teacher at Fresno State! Show up to class, read your books, and study her lecture notes, you will do well. You have 3 precis, 1 map quiz, 1 paper, mid-term, and final to complete. She is so hot too!

Didn't have class at all for 3 weeks straight and after that we met maybe twice a week instead of three. Broke the paper into four different due dates so it was much more manageable.

wonderful professor. 10 am class? she'll wake you up. hilarious lectures. she likes to talk and is super friendly. skipped a few classes and still got an A. Notes are important because that's your only source of information. No textbook just 2 books barely used. if You miss class, you better know your history.

Really great professor, I hate history but she made the class very interesting and understandable. Her grading criteria is layed out in the syllabus, there are usually weekly quizzes (based on book) however there are unlimited attempts. Exams are not too hard they are strictly based in notes.

Clune is not only a great history teacher but is an even better teacher of teachers. She is inspirational, and open to new ideas on how to teach. She is very encouraging. She does grade hard on papers, but his is college... she should have a high level of expectation.

Prof. Clune is a great teacher. She makes the subject extremely interesting to learn. Her grading criteria is clear. She assigns 3 precis, a film review, and a paper using specific sources to create a story. Be prepared to work in groups and have weekly discussions based on primary documents. She's passionate about her subject, funny, and approachable. Definitely not an easy A, but taking her is definitely worth it.

The Best! 10 quick writes, easy. Need to attend class for quick writes. Makes history fun and interesting. Can be funny at times and she is very kind to talk too. I went to her office hours and she was so nice. I barely passed the class with an A. Two exams which were Identifications(ID). She gives and ID and you answer who/what,when,significance.

Dr. Clune is a real gem in the history department. I really enjoyed her lectures and her random funny comments. She is so caring for her students and will be there for you if you need any help. She gives study guides for exams and assigned 3 précis and other small writing assignments. Take her even if you are not a history major shes amazing!

You can see that she is really into what she is teaching. By far one of the most easy teachers I've ever taken at State. The presentation slides are small but she talks a lot about one topic so you don't have to go to class but you might want to because she lectures kinda heavy.

For attendance, she does quick-writes once a week but we don't know what day it will be so show up! We had one midterm, and the final. Also we do two timelines, they are not hard just time taking. It's not mandatory to go to the zoom meetings, but I suggest to because she's super fun to talk to. I love how passionate she was and how clear all the directions were. I'm so glad that I took HIST 12 with Professor Clune. She is funny and very caring, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every week, we had to read a chapter with the Foner book and participate in a group chat that had no required word count nor do we have to reply to other students. There were 2 timeline projects and 2 exams.

Dr. Clune is such a great professor. You can tell she has a passion for not only history but for her students as well. This is one of the best history classes I have taken. Make sure you read everything you are assigned and you're golden.

She gives good lectures and only assigned like 3 books which you have to do a precis on each, grades hard on the first one but on the rest she grades easy, also have a final exam which is easy, her lectures are interesting and Id definitely take her again.

Dr. Clune is a gem. She's obviously very passionate, and the lectures are never boring. She's extremely understanding, and even pushed back our midterm by a week because some students couldn't finish on time. The homework is easy and the only semi-difficult assignment is the Precis, which is a semester long assignment and only two pages.

History of Games with Dr. Clune is one of the best classes ever. She is passionate about the subject and class was always entertaining. There are three precis, she always grades first one hard but the rest super easy. The exams are not difficult since you can choose what you want to write about. Dr. Clune is simply one of the best professors here.

I took Dr. Clune during Spring 2022. I was having an off semester but Dr. Clune helped me! Dr. Clune accepted my late work which was late (5-7 days) for each assignment. Nonetheless had I tried more I woudlve pulled an A. She is great and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to knock out a hard course w an easy professor.

Easy-to-follow lectures. Tests are based on lectures, so very necessary to attend class. Tests were available on Canvas for a period of time so very convenient to complete. 10 Short quick writes and 2 precis throughout the semester. 10/10 would recommend this class.

I wish Dr. Clune could teach all of my classes. Her grading system is amazing and she's incredibly knowledgable. Lectures are easy to understand and she respects students. Wow, where do I begin. Dr. Clune is the most kind and fun professor I've ever had, I have no idea how I gone through college to this point without a professor like her. Insanely knowledge and wants you to learn but she is always insanely forgiving. Best professor on campus, take any of her classes and you will never regret it!

Her lectures are really good. There are a few writing assignments and exams but nothing is too difficult. Her grading system is really simple and easy. She is super understanding and gives out extensions on assignments. Attendance is mandatory but she is a great professor.

Highly recommend her for 100W. She does self-grading, so you choose you're own grade at the end of the semester in a meeting with her. As long as you put in effort with the various writing assignments, this class is an easy A. She also gives good lectures and gives good feedback to help you become a better writer and historian.
