Do the homework and attend class and you will succeed. She is nice and will help you, if you put in the effort. Exams are easy IF you focused on her review and paid attention in class. Not a blowoff, but definitely manageable.

Super nice! Kind of a lot of work to keep up with everything, but I'm sure all accounting classes are like that. Lots of opportunity to get a good grade w/ homework, quizzes, etc. but the tests are straight forward and class isn't bad.

Class is not easy, but she is very helpful and nice. Tests are fair and straightforward. Read the chapters and do the homework and you will be successful.

This was my 3rd try at ACC at OU and obviously third times a charm. Lori is the best proffessor I have taken there. YES, you have to attend class, do notes, and take simple quizes, but she explains everything crystal clear. Her tests are EXACTLY what she teaches you, with NO surprises. I got a great grade in the class, and she does give extra point

ACC200 with her is extremely simple. I took it with her accelerated over the summer and got a 100% on each of the 3 exams. The notes make it easy to do the homework and if you do the homework (in its entirety) you will not even have to study for the exams because you will have the material down pat. Show up and complete the note and you will be ok.

Highly recommend her. She loves the subject and teaches so you can understand it. Extremely helpful if you just ask. Yes, you do homework for every class, but you won't learn if you don't do the problems. Notes & class are easy & enjoyable for an accounting class. Tests are on the long side but always manageable. If you work at it, you'll do fine.

A great professor, one of the BEST at OU! Accounting is not an easy subject she teaches so that you will understand. I highly recommend her, no surprises, straight forward but you must study. I got a 4.0!

She is passionate about Accounting, and makes it more approachable by group quizzes and very clear notes. There are attendance quizzes; make sure your homework's done. She's happy to explain things if you stop by her office. As a night class, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly time passed. USE the exam review sheets and you'll do fine!

One of the best teachers I ever had. She made accounting easy to understand. I was unsure about my major going in but now I know for sure that I want to be an accounting major. You definitely have to keep up on the work, but it is managable. I would HIGHLY recommend her class.

Love how organized she is. Only problem are that her pre-lim quizzes are difficult and she gives us less than a minute to complete all 5 questions. The regular quizzes are horrible. It's like she just wants to fail those. Tests are alright. She says she doesn't like to trick us but I feel as though she does when it comes to quizzes. Take pelfrey.

shes not the encouraging type... she'll scare you about the test and personally i just like a teacher who motivates and brings positivity... her tone is just negative. however, she explains clearly, she answers questions if u have any... so overall, compared to other professors... i wouldn't mind taking her again....

Nice Professor, tough class. I really liked how she handed out notes on each chapter which were basically outlines of the chapter. There are pre-quizes which is basically to make sure you attempted to read the chapter and group quizes. Test were soso gives you a study guide, the written part will be almost identical to the outline, mc are tricky.

Very challenging class, but great instructor. She will help you and explain the material if you ASK! Attend every class, her lectures are thorough and notes are helpful when preparing for a test. You will get out of this class what you put into it, so if you study and do the exercise problems you will do well.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! Acccounting is difficult no matter who you take, but Professor Dorko loves accounting and helps her students understand.

Professor Dorko is great. Go to class, pay attention and you will do fine. We had homework every week and a quiz every class, but the tests are take home and you can do your quizzes in a group. All in all, she is very fair. Bonus, she completely understands if you are a grad student with a full time job and doesn't drown you in work.

She was an awesome professor for accounting. Accounting is not the most fun subject for a lot of people, but she really tries to get students involved to understand the concept. Group projects and quizzes involved. 3 midterms and one final cumulative. The exams were fairly easy and 2 projects that are due last month of the semester. Fair Grader

Explains everything clearly. Expectations out of the students is made very clear. Does lots of examples, but you need to do the homework she assigns to get the most out of her lectures. She is not kidding when she says you need to practice or else you won't learn a thing.

WOW! Clear your schedule because you won't have a life. This class is extremely hard, I sent every week preparing appox. 12 hours and I barely made it.

Every class you should expect a quiz or homework check. You need the book, because she also does a quiz to see if you read the chapter prior to coming to class. She can be a little full of herself, in my opinion, but she knows what she's talking about. Wouldn't recommend just because of the amount of work, but i don't think there's anyone better.

Prelim quiz at every class plus possible group quiz. If you go to every class and spend some time on this subject you will do well. Her lectures are definitely worth attending. She makes learning Accounting fun and she has a good sense of humor as well. I took the evening class and we had 2 exams, 1 final, and 2 projects.

When entering the Accounting Program, make ACC 310 the only accounting course you take! This class is the hardest in accounting program (save ACC 311) and will absolutely let you know whether you are meant for accounting. Many people opt out accounting after taking this class so don't waste timecredit hours taking other accounting classes.

class is not that bad. the exams and one cumulative final. Open note group quizzes every week. Exams are problem based (no multiple choice) based on problems in lecture notes, homework, and quizzes. no surprises on the exam. just read questions carefully. It not a blow off class and try not to miss lecture. There is also a computer project.

Professor Dorko is teaching style is consist of short text book quiz of the chapter content and one final exam, three exams, three or four quizzes.

This professor teaching methods are good since she test you of the text book content of Chapter 1 - 11, 13 that are short and simple. Also, three exams, four quizzes and two projects, one final exam.

I absolutely loved Dorko's teaching style. Straight forward and right to the point. She gives you note packets to fill in the blanks for, so you know exactly what to study. However, she expects you to know the material. Make sure you really know your stuff before the exams. Go to class and do the work, and I definitely recommend her.

Tough but fair professor. I was having problems and she helped clarify the topic. Spent a lot of time on the class, but learned so much. One of the best professors I have had.

She's an amazing professor; super tough, but she tells you that from the beginning. The class requires a lot of work on your own time, but she goes over everything and explains in great details. Also she has great patience with questions during her notes. Exams are tough but are over exactly she says they are going to be. Learned a lot from her.

Very hard professor! But very knowledgeable... She makes the class tough but this is who you want if you're studying accounting! Gives too much work and hard exams; but you'll step out knowing accounting.

I learned a TON. Students will spend a lot of time on this class, but a deep knowledge of the concepts are essential for those who want to work in accounting. To do well, you have to read the text, do graded and non-graded homework, pay attention, and study. Expectations are well laid out. She did a really good job of explaining text concepts.

I loved Professor Dorko and would definitely take her as a teacher again. This class requires quite a bit of studying and time but if you learn the concepts supplied to you, do the homework and review in class exercises, you will pass this class.

Very tough grader and very inflexible, however she gives fair warning about it. Study her syllabus because it's enforced to the letter. Show up early, being late counts as an absence. But late is better than skipping; you need to be there every day to do well. You have to read and do problems as many times as it takes to fully understand.

Dorko really is a great professor. ACC 310 has a lot of material to cover and studying is necessary. Go to class!!! Her test problems are very similar to her quizzes and she usually lets you know what type of working problems are on the test. She is very clear about what needs to be done and is a strict grader but fair. Final is cumulative.

The class is very fast and challenging but Dorko does her best to help out. Class is based on attendance, some online homework, a few projects that are pretty long (so don't procrastinate), and 4 exams, one being a cumulative final. Study hard and ask questions and you should be fine. It's very easy to fall behind in 3100 so stay on top of things

If you're not ready, she will wear you like a hat. This class is a trip but she is a very good professor. Tests 1-3 hard, final is insane. Projects due a couple days before final. Homework is not free points prepare for at least 10hrs a week of studying unless you can cram for exams (wouldn't recommend)

Dorko is a cool prof, she really cares about her students. She does make you work for the grade you earn in the class, but it never felt over bearing. she runs the class on a tight schedule where you usually have a lecture on a chapter and then an open book quiz on the same exam in one week. ACC 2000 is a tough class but Dorko does her best.

Great Professor. Took summer class and even though accelerated I did well and learned so much. Comes across as very tough but really cares about students and their success.

Make sure to put in the time to read and study. Lazy students that want to read a little here and there, will not pass unless they are smart and pick up on things easily. She can be a bit snarky, but over all I think she cares to do a good job. DO NOT take the class with others if you work full time.

I had her for both Financial and Managerial ACC. Her classes are difficult. You have to work hard to fully understand the material. BUT if your major is ACC then this is worth it because you really learn a lot. She gives 100/100 on random quizzes and attendance so show up to class. Actually read the chapters before the lectures or you'll be lost.
