She is VERY EASY go to class. Speech stinks but you can still get an "A" Tests are so EASY she spells out EXACTLY whats on them. Funny, nice, overall a good teacher.

Very easy! You will not learn a thing in this class. It is boring! She does not seem knowledgeable in the subjuct and is NOT a good speaker.

Great class, a bit slow but worth it. Easy A if you work a bit on your speeches. Gave extra credit and tests were a piece of cake. Great GPA booster!!!

She's very nice, her tests are easy! You have to show up to class but she never does anything hard, some in class activities but nothing that is a big deal

Very easy! Dont even bother to buy the book or study for the test. All you have to do is show up and you get an A. I have had her for two coarses and both were so easy that I wish I could have her for everything. GET THIS PROF AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!

Give 4-5 speeches, no hw, easy mid-term and final, don't need to study. fun class, you'll get to know your class mates. maybe the easiest class i've taken in college

She's a good prof. Very friendly. Seems a little bit jumbled at times. Nothing major. Lots of group projects. Tests are a little difficult, but if you study, you'll be fine.

Pretty easy class, the tests are a little hard though. Definitely read the book. Nice lady, very understanding when it comes to group work or lack of cooperation in your group. She wants you to do well, and helps you a lot.

Lori was awesome. The class was always fun, and she seemed knowledgeable. I'd definately take her again. Go over the review sheets before the test, and you'll do well.

I loved this class. I never minded going to class because it was usually pretty fun. I got to know all the people in it because we did a lot of group work. Just do the review sheet for the tests and you'll do fine.

She was a really good teacher. She is very nice and cares about students. Class was usually interesting. As long as you study for tests and turn in papes you should do fine.

She was so much fun! a LOT of group work, but she makes everyone get to know each other. get papers done, and study the exam reviews, and you'll do fine. very helpful and easy to talk to. I'd take every com class w/ her if I could.

She's one of the best profs I've had! It's evident that she loves what she does. She's clear and makes classes fun with "exercises." You really learn to grasp the concepts through these activities. I really enjoy the class, and it isn't difficult. I would definitely take another class with her again

Lori is a great professor. She knows what she is talking about, and gets you excited about the subjects. She expects a college level of writing in your papers, but grades farly. Love her! Get any class you can with her!

Lori was an AMAZING prof. You could truly tell she loved what she taught. The class was fairly easy, and if you went to class you were sure to do well on the final and midterm. There were 2 or 3 papers, each of which was fairly easy.

I loved Lori! She was by far the best professor I've ever had and ever will have. I learned so much from her class. I wish she taught more COM classes though. Very nice lady, fun class, I promise you will enjoy it.

Lori is awesome. This is the second class I have had her for, and she is even better the second time around! The class is challenging, but somehow the way that she teaches it makes it very easy to learn the information. Attendance is mandatory, but it's not a class you care to miss anyway. Get this professor!!

Great prof, especially to start out in the communications school and in your major. Really nice, fun, funny, you're going to want to get her!

She is so nice...she makes the class very interesting..When I didn't feel like coming to class by the time you got there you will be happy you came. Very easy grader....and you actually learn helpful information for your future where in communications or not....

Absolutely fantastic professor. So helpful with every assignment, quiz, or test. On the final project she helped a bunch of the students actually find something to do. She gave me multiple phone numbers for connections related to jobs, internships and the like. Best professor at GVSU!

Even though this is speech class, it is fun with Professor Jager! She is always happy and never negative. She is very fair in the way she grades and gives you good feedback on speeches. If you have the chance take COM 201 with her...you will love it! = )

Very good class, very intriguing. First time she taught it, and I'd say she did well. Work is par for the level, and Jager ensures everyone understands the material.

Great class! :) COM theories may not be the most interesting topic in the world, but Lorie makes the class enjoyable. The Exams aren't hard if you study the reviews. She might not be the easiest prof, but she is a great resource for students! She will go out of her way to help you be successful-both in class & in the professional world!

TAKE LORI JAGER!!!! She is amazing!! Very easy to get along with! She has a passion for her subject. I hate public speaking and dreaded this class but she makes it really easy and takes a lot of the stress and anxiety away! I wouldn't want to take this class again, b/c I dont like speaking in public, but if I had to I would definitely take Lori!

Lori Jager is one of the best professors ever. Insanely positive demeanor, very fair grader, excellent at helping students improve. When she gave a compliment or positive feedback, she seems like she is genuinely proud of the student. She is so freakin' nice, too! It was hard to be in a bad mood when in her class. Take her if you can!

Professor Jager is amazing. She is very focused on making sure everybody in the class understands the material. I also am very impressed with the way she can focus and help us so much in class regardless of all of the trouble going on in her personal life. Very motivated.

Lori was one of my favorite professors. She had a lot going on in her personal life but never let it affect her attitude in class. She is a strong, kind individual and she is very helpful if you have any questions. Her lectures were always interesting and relevant.

exams are easy as long as you study. Class wasn't hard but she did give us work on a short notice. tough grader, but she is really nice. No one in my class got better than a B. I skipped every Friday & still got full points for attendance.

Jager is a great prof. There were't many grades, just a few papers. As long as you understand the materials covered you'll do fine. Very helpful and class was very interactive and interesting!

Lori Jager is a great professor! Very helpful & funny! She truly wants the best for her students. I would suggest Jager for speech, but my class didn't need the book a lot of it is common sense.

Lorie Jager is fantastic. Very respectful and respectable. She knows the information very well. Classroom discussion is always interesting and classroom atmosphere is very comfortable. The work isn't hard. Lots of good student participation. She clearly enjoys her job as well as her students.

Professor Jager is a beatiful soul and an awesome teacher. Her attendance is mandatory, but her class is wonderful and her methods of teaching are great. I would have preferred her not to have made the textbook mandatory because her slides in class were the same thing, but with all things considered, I miss her and her class.

Professor Jager is a beautiful soul and a great teacher. Her class was fun, even for an 8am, and she is easy to relate to and get along with. The only thing I didn't like about the class is that she required a $100 textbook that she put on slides in class. That seemed like a waste.

I took her for health comm. capstone Winter 2014 and I thoroughly enjoyed her class. She is very knowledgeable in healthcare. She does use her required books in every class and if you haven't read the assigned chapters you will not be able to participate in classroom discussions so you wont do well. Take her, she's awesome and her class is easy.

Lori is probably my favorite professor at GV to date. I took her for Speech from 6-9 PM and she made it fun yet educational. I liked this class and I really enjoy her passion for teaching. Take her if you can!

Though my initial reaction to Jager wasn't that great, the more I got to know her, the better. She is a great professor and knows her stuff. She does so much to help you. I think she is a fairly easy grader. Test are straight forward and simple. She is also an awesome advisor who will help you out however she can!

Professor Jager was one of the best teachers I've had. Speech-giving is not one of my skills, and I went into the class expecting to hate it. She's such a good teacher that she made me like it immensely. Clear, reasonable, helpful, knowledgeable, and likeable. Can rub some people the wrong way, but overall quite likeable.

She is the best. She loves a happy and fun classroom environment and makes the class easy to excel in.

At first I was nervous to take this class, but Professor Jager makes the environment so welcoming. She gives great feedback and we even get feedback from our peers. Our speeches are recorded so you can see exactly how it went for yourself. My public speaking improved so much from the beginning of the year. Definitely take her if you can!

I've had Jager for two classes so far and as long as you engage in the material you'll receive good grades back and an awesome semester!

This is my third class with Lorie and I love it and her! She was there for me as a freshman advisor and continues to support me in my final year. This class is great if you like analyzing people, but if you don't like reading, learn to like it and you will do fine. Tests are all text based, but you have attend class to really get the material.

Fantastic teacher. She really respects the students and works with you to help you succeed. Her lectures are interesting and engaging. She uses partner activities to help you comprehend the concepts. Dr. Jager knows her stuff, and if you pay attention and do what she expects, you will learn a lot from her.

Great professor, really cares about her students success. She does a good job explaining what she wants, and teaching her lessons. Extremely nice. She does a great job making you feel comfortable and welcomed in her class to get rid of some of your anxiety for giving a speech. Great classroom atmosphere, everyone gets along.

She's so sweet and positive! Had a great semester with her. She wants to see her students succeed. Only a couple tests which were not hard. Read the textbook. The speeches I found to be easy and fun-follow the criteria and be creative and it'll make the experience a lot better!

She's so nice, understanding and supportive. One mid-term and one final exam. The rest were speeches. She's very sympathetic she'll make sure you're comfortable to give speech and will never make you stay late after class. Easy to follow the class and easy to talk to. Dont show up late a lot, you will get points deducted at the end of the semester

One of the best professors I have had at GVSU. She is passionate about what she teaches, has a ton of real world experience to draw on, and is very easy to talk to. If you try to do well, she helps you succeed.

Lori is a bomb teacher! She tries her best to interact with all her students personally which make the class way more enjoyable and much less a chore. Expect to read and participate in class. It's not laboring, but express interest and the semester will be cake. Would totes take again!!

Great speech professor. Really tries to make students comfortable while speaking and will go above and beyond to help. I was so nervous to take a speech class but it was so easy! Follow her guidelines and go to her for help if needed. 3 main speeches-about you, informative,persuasive/easy written midterm/ and easy written final (not cumulative!!!!)

Good Prof, attendance is important. You can miss 3 classes but after that she starts taking points off heavily. She is awesome for Public speaking as I am someone who doesn't like getting up in front of people to speak and she makes it feel very comfortable. She grades pretty easy although i dont think i ever got a 100% ,only one or two points off

The lectures can be a bit boring, but Professor Jager is very sweet and is good at what she does. Her grading criteria is clear. She makes speech-giving fun, and the impromptu speeches made for a pretty good time! The midterm was fairly easy, and I expect the final will be too. No homework besides speech prep.

If you're worried about taking public speaking, Lorie is the professor to take. She's caring, makes you feel comfortable, and is clear on what she grades on. She gives a lot of good feedback and really knows a lot about the field. Some of the lectures can get dull, but she really tries to give you speaking experience and wants you to do well.

Prof. Jager is a great lady and advisor/professor. She can be tough at times but shes really caring and wants her students to succeed. Most of this class was a group client project and some reading. Class schedule was pretty flexible which was a little confusing sometimes but overall not bad. Would definitely take her classes again.

If you are nervous to take public speaking courses, I would recommend this prof. The class itself is lecture heavy, and the material was sometimes dry. The grading expectations were clear, and extra credit opportunities were offered. Jager is really understanding and wants her students to succeed. Would recommend.

Lorie is a real gem. She makes public speaking so easy. I honestly even liked her lectures. Even with classes being transferred online she was so helpful and kind!

I came into this class terrified of public speaking, but Lorie made this class a super low stress environment where I felt safe even if I messed up. Show that you care and participate in class, and she will take care of you. Lots of time to work on speeches as well! Definitely would take her class again and would recommend anyone do the same.

She gives great feedback on speeches and makes you feel very prepared. I hate giving speeches, but I learned more than I thought was possible and felt super comfortable for every speech. She grades fairly and pretty easy. You give 3 speeches and 2 impromptu ones, but she'll help you while you're giving these and makes them not scary. Take her!!!

Very nice lady. Work load is manageable. I would have enjoyed this class more if it was a 93 for an A instead of a 95.
