Professor Joseph was awesome! She's a really sweet lady who will work with you to make sure you get the grade you want (you do have to work at it though.) I would definitely take her for 1107 but unfortunately she will only be teaching 1111. If you get the opportunity, you should definitely take her class!

I absolutely love Professor Joseph. She's super helpful and makes everything easy to understand. She makes all the tests herself and gives extra credit. the "pop" quizzes are easy and meant to boost your grade a bit and the workload isn't very heavy. I would definitely recommend her. Anyone should make at LEAST a high B in this class. take her!

Ms. Joseph is an extremely nice teacher who will give extra help to anyone who needs it outside of class. She moves a bit fast in class but not too fast to understand. I ended up with a C in her class but it was my own fault, I easily could have earned a high B or an A. She uses a LOT of MyMathlab homework which isn't hard at all and helps a lot.

I love Professor Joseph!! Brings candy on test days and there are MANY test days. Multiple pop quizzes throughout the semester, but attendance isn't nessecary, but you need to go to class in order to pass. Offers extra credit and projects for grade boosters. Mymathlab homework assignments were a pain, but great class for the most part!

Joseph's a great person & is always willing to lend a hand for a student falling behind in class. To pass you must take notes, ask questions, & do all the homework on MML. The class can get difficult at times, especially if you haven't had Algebra in a few years, but as long as you do all the HW & study you should be fine. Tons of HW on MML.

I absolutely love Professor Joseph. She is so nice and always willing to help. She makes algebra really easy. There are only 2 projects (super easy- will take you 45min tops). She will offer extra credit sometimes, all you have to do is ask. I wish i could take her for all my math courses.

Tests are super easy. Take about 5 of them,lowest one dropped. 6-8 quizzes with 1 or 2 dropped. One project that was super easy, 100 percent easily. Lots of homework in My Math Lab but you can get 100 on almost all of them which is 10 of your grade. If you ask her a question during at test or quiz she will help you A LOT in finding the answer.

Very good teacher. I am a few years older than most in my class, so I'm struggling a bit. She's extremely helpful, and even stayed an hour late in her office to help me out and even gave me good advice about pursuing music therapy. She genuinely cares about her students. KSU needs more profs like her. I wish I hadn't waited so long to take her.

I loved Lori. She genuinely wants every student to do well and be happy. She drops the two lowest quiz grades and lowest test grade. There's a project worth 50 points that's super easy. The material in the class isn't too hard, but Lori will explain it in weird analogies and then do it algebraically. If you try you'll do well.

Professor Garefino is super nice but when she teaches something, she teaches multiple ways to do one problem. It gets confusing and I had a hard time following. She had like 5 tests and a final. drops lowest test and quiz grade. Also randomly does pop quizzes. Tons of online homework.

The way she teaches makes math seem simple.

Good teacher. She cares a lot about her students and does her best to help out where she can. Some of the work is a little challenging. I had to do some self teaching but it wasn't terrible. Class is her working examples and then giving you a worksheet for practice. There are pop quizzes but they're group quizzes.

A great first college math teacher - literally gave us candy before tests. Made topics very easy to learn and was always available after class to answer questions. Made study guides that were identical to tests. The only downside was that she assigned TONS of online tests/HW that were hard to complete or makeup, which tanked my grade. LOVE HER THO!

I have mixed feelings about this teacher. Many of the kids in my class did not like her but I actually found her enjoyable. She provides handouts to help you understand the material and we use ALEKS for this class. She seems to wander off-topic a bit but other than that I passed still. She drops the two lowest ALEKS score and other stuff.

Loved this professor! Consists of 4 take-at-home tests (which would let us use the notes we had), a total of 8 quizzes, each being 5 questions (lockdown browser+ cam); which wasn't hard at all because she would provide a study guide beforehand. Each week we had homework due which would be done through ALEKS (can be tricky) ATTEND SI SESSIONS!!!

She is absolutely amazing! Precalc is a harder class, but if you do the homework and go to class you will be fine! She genuinely cares about you and your grade in the class. I would definitely be taking her classes again!

If you skip class you will miss out on stuff that will be on the tests. 4 tests including the final and homework on Aleks. If you struggle in math I would take her but you have to be able to speak up and ask for help if you need it.

Not gonna lie, MATH1113 is difficult as it is but Prof. Joseph makes it just a little bit easier. She's super nice & very understanding. If you do take her & begin struggling, go immediately to her office hours b/c those are so much more helpful!! The way she explains algebra is simple to follow along, and as long as you show your work, you can get credit. Her college algebra class was fun and engaging, I actually attended her classes because I wanted to LEARN.

She hands out worksheets so you don't have to struggle to do your own notes. If math is your kyrptonite then this is the class for you. Dr. Joseph does a pretty good job at explaining the material and is a joy be around. The Weekly homework is on ALEKS which can be a pain if you don't keep up with it and she does give out pop quizzes.

I wish she was my teacher for every class. The content may be difficult at times, but she will teach you how to do something four different ways until you understand it. Very forgiving grader, especially on her pop quizzes. Study guides are the same as the test but she chooses the easier questions every time. Can't recommend enough!

I took her twice. Show up to class and you should be fine. Attendance is not part of your grade, however there are daily activities and pop quizzes where participation is essentially all that you're graded on. 2 quizzes and 2 daily activities dropped at the end of the semester. Curves tests, very accessible and kind. Take her!!

She was very friendly and I was never scared to ask questions even if they were seemingly low-level. She explains things very clearly and in a way that is intuitive for the person learning. Her quizzes are also very low-stakes because we got to work with partners + she gives a lot of partial credit. I wish I could take her again for calc :(

I loved having her as a professor. I will 100% be taking her again for any other math classes I need. There is a lot of ALEKS homework, but it is very helpful and should be taken seriously. ATTEND CLASS. There will be pop quizzes and Desmos assignments that have to be completed for credit. She is also super nice, which is very refreshing.

So sweet and cares a lot about what she teaches. Does give a lot of homework, 2-3 assignments a week on ALEKS. The class moves very fast, so attendance is required to understand any of it. She also doesn't have online lectures or material for the units, so you have to be in class to learn it.

Very nice professor, she cares, I wish I locked in because I was so close to getting an A. Lots of Aleks hw due throughout the week, and the occasional groupwork/ pop quiz. Tests aren't hard but there are few questions so getting a question wrong is more points lost. Not sure if attendance was mandatory but she took it anyways.
