Laughs a lot. Explains everything in good detail. Study coursepack notes and you'll do fine. Have to really think about some of the exam questions.

Hard tests, easy class

The coursepack is a must. Lori has a great personality and covers the material well. Be prepared to study hard for the tests, which do a good job of combining practical and technical aspects of operations. I learned a lot from her and would recommend Lori unconditionally. Need help... just ask her.

WIN'05 OUTLINE WAS ON BB, SO COURSE PACK WAS ON THE HOUSE. KOSTE IS PROFESSIONAL AND LECTURES ARE WELL STRUCTURED AND DELIVERED, JUST OPS MGMT. IS BORING. TESTS ARE OKAY. VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. YOU COULD DEFINITELY DO WORSE.

Thought she was great. She's great at explaining and applying concepts. Don't be afraid to ask questions b/c she'll gladly answer them. Very helpful. You have to prepare for exams, but nothing over the top. Great lady, good class. Take her!

Great prof. Class isn't easy but she is willing to help. Don't really use the book except for homework. Got an A in the class just off studying the powerpoint slides and reviewing the homework. Plan on 10-15 hours studying for the exams though.

Lori is a great professor who explains things well and is very helpful if you go to her office hours. Her tests do require a lot of prepartation if you want to get a good grade but she does throw out questions if alot of people get them wrong.

The tests are really easy, exactly out of the notebook she gives. She does have some unannounced quizzes (if you take it mwf they will be on the fridays). She is a good teacher though, there is no reason you wont get an A in the class.

Not bad, can have a short fuse though...if a question is asked and she doesn't think she is getting understood will become impatient very quickly. But-overall, pretty easy. Buy the book, copy the homework pages then return it. That is all you need it for.

Good Professor tells you exactly what you will need to study for exams.STUDY the class isn't easy, but if you understand the homework you will understand the class. She will help you if you need it. She is really nice and really knows her stuff. I would recommend her for anyone who is actually willing to study. All the good students got A's or B's

I thought professor Koste was a great prof. She does a lot of lecturing from overheads and many don't like that, but I thought she also added a lot of real world examples tot he material to help make a connection between the book and real businesses. Material is hard, but she is willing to help out if you need it.

Class seemed very easy, but her multiple choice questions are tricky. Don't be fooled by how boring and easy class is. Quizzes are almost all open book or open neighbor. Can get grouchy when students ask a question she already answered but overall very straightforward.

Prof. Koste does an excellent job of organizing and structuring the class so that you always know what to expect. She also provides a CoursePack with notes which are a huge help on the exams. Exams: Problems are straightforward (do the homework!), but multiple choice section does require strong knowledge of the subject material. Great Prof. A-

Exams were pretty hard. None of the quizzes were open book or note (I saw someone posted a previous comment contradicting that.) The classes are EXTREMELY boring, and she makes students feel dumb when they ask questions.

Operations Management is a fairly boring subject, but Koste does her best to make it engaging. She's upbeat, friendly and helpful. The class is hard though. Grade is mainly based upon 3 tests. Considering it is a requirement, I would reccomend taking it with her.

I'm not terribly impressed. Seems to know what she is talking about, but doesn't know how to teach. She seems pretty personable, though.

Great woman, pretty good class. She will not post powerpoints on BB so you must go to class if you want a decent grade. as long as you try and study, it is an easy A and you'll definitely learn a thing or two along the way.

Class was okay. When she lectures it can be really hard to pay attention but it wasn't the worst class to have.

She is an alright prof. She teaches out of a course packet and you must go to class because the power points are not online. If you study the material and everything she talks about in class then it is not that hard to decent in it. Would for sure take her again for another class!!!

Dreadfully boring material. The exams are straightforward as are the quizes. Koste did a good job explaining the material although reading the text book helped a lot too. Was quite an effort to force myself to go to this class twice a week and am glad I never have to take an operations class again!

Take home cases are difficult. Make sure you are very clear and detailed, but even then you will probably get points off anyways. Tests are super easy.

Very easy and straight forward. Study her study guides and re-do the problems in the coursepack and you'll be fine. Presentations are VERY boring but her note taking guide is helpful and she eliminates a lot of what you need to know.

this professor was great for this subject, she sells a coursepack and you need to buy it and its very helpful because you dont have to write down all the notes needed, 3 exams and some quizzes on chapters, homework is not required but it helps to learn the material, somewhat dry lectures but the material isnt entertaining to begin with

I couldn't agree more with the review that says she can be mean and make you feel bad for asking a question. She is fake nice so be careful. She also can never ever admit she is wrong. Everyone in the class seems miserable, but she doesn't notice or care.

I was not looking forward to this class bc of the reviews, but the information is really important to all business majors. She makes the material smooth giving practice problems. Buy the coursepack it'll help on the 3 exams and 5 or so quizzes!

Class was pretty dry unless you like operational management. Professor was helpful and pretty much letures from her slides. Have to buy a lecture book so not much writing. Overall not too bad.

She's pretty nice. Class isn't very difficult - but she doesn't do a great job explaining a lot of things. The exams are easy. Overall the class isn't hard - but i can't say i really learned anything. I was excited for this class too

She has a "course pack" you buy, essentially guided notes so it is easy in lecture to get the important stuff. Makes studying for exams super easy. Material is dry at times but does a good job at teaching it. Had 5 quizes that were not bad, drops lowest 2. Do not need the book as long as you are there to take notes. Used it maybe 5 times.

She lectures the whole class and it gets old but her course pack makes taking notes a little easier. I wouldn't recommend skipping even though attendance isn't mandatory. There are pop quizzes and her tests are pretty tough so you'll want to be there as much as possible. Textbook is only used for non-mandatory homework. Overall, good teacher.

Koste was a solid prof. The only reason you need the textbook is for problems so if you can share with someone I would highly recommend it. She gives you what you need to know on the study guides and if you study your course pack you'll do fine. Really study it, though. Don't just skim.

Such an easy class. Grade is 80% tests which she gives you a study guide of exactly what is on it.. There is a course pack provided to take notes in so you only need the book for the case at the end of the semester.

Koste is by far one of the best supply chain profs Ive ever had. Her class is TOUGH. There are 6 case studies and 2 exams, which require work to do well on. Keep up with the corse work, ask questions (you get EC when you do), and do the homework even though its not required. Her class is worth taking and not as scary as she makes it out to be.

She is a great prof. She really cares about her students learning. Her lectures are very organized too. At the beginning she makes it seems like a really hard class, but it was very average in terms of difficulty. As long as you do the hw and practice problems, it was not hard at all. You do a lot of group work so make sure you pick a good group!!

If you listen in class and do the provided examples, the tests are pretty okay. The quantitative problems were pretty difficult, but you get a equation sheet for exam. Ask questions in class if you are lost, because the textbook does not help that much.

I enjoyed her class! The class is challenging, and exams were not easy. But it is manageable as long as you go to class, do the work and ask questions. I love talking with her in office hours as she is knowledgeable and cares about your success. A trick to make this class much easier is to find a good group for case studies.

She is not the nicest prof out there, but she does care about her students and really wants them to success. You should not skip this class, because the lecture is hard and heavy. Read the chapters thoroughly plus doing examples in the power point and you can ace the exams easily. Should join group to do cases.

I'm not a smart student & I did well in this class. If you did well in mgt 366, you will be fine. She is sweet&will help you when you need clarity. The exams are kind of tough but she offers extra credit to bring up your grade. Attendance isn't mandatory but going to class helps a lot! Could've got an A but didn't have time to study for the final.

Don't listen to what others say about her. She is a great professor and knows what she's teaching. Cases are easy if you actually pay attention in class. If you need help, ASK HER! She provides a lot of help to those who ask. Anyone that doesn't do well is because they aren't trying. Exams are tough, I will admit. Extra credit helps with that.

I think people who take this class do not realize this class is not too difficult if you put in the effort. Honestly, most classes should be taught close to this standard because I learned so much from this class. Don't fall behind on the cases, utilize office hours (be prepared), DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS! They're not graded, but will help so much.

If you attend lectures and meet with her when your confused on the cases it is not a bad class. She gives out so many extra credit opportunities so never skip those. If you are struggling, just meet with her and she will help you so much. Just don't miss lectures because the cases are lecture related.

I quite enjoyed this professor, even though she can be a bit rude at times. The cases are straightforward as long as you do the homework!! On the first day of class, she emphasized that this class would be extremely hard but honestly, it wasn't bad at all AS LONG AS YOU TRY. She is clear on what she will put on exams and offers extra credit.

Lori's class requires effort, but it's worth it. Attend lectures, utilize office hours, and leverage Unstuck AI for practice - that's the recipe for success. Don't skip class, as the material is heavily lecture-based. With a bit of work, you can excel in this course.

Professor cares for your learning and understanding. Extra credit is offered if you tank the first couple of assignments. The class is just a naturally hard class. There is a lot of material and not enough days to get it all in efficiently. The professor is always willing to help, provides great advice and direction.

She is a good professor and quite helpful if you ask for it. She also gives a ton of extra credit which is amazing. Her class is not as hard as she makes it out to be though it is hard. Study for the tests, do the cases on time and throughly and you'll do great. Homework is optional but I would do it because it is helpful.
