She is a great professor. she really applies material to real world situations. 2 midterms and one final. Just study the textbook and you should be fine. I would take her again.
She is a really good teacher that is always helping students when needed. I would take her class again in a heartbeat and wish she was my teacher for all my classes. very good teacher that had a rough time with the fires and possible floods

She is a great teacher, very helpful. Loves students to get involved. Tests are M/C with Short answer and Essay question. Go to class and study PPT and you will do fine
She favor students who participate in class. Even if you say the most random things, you will still get participation points. Its unfair to the people who actually try. The course is easy, but she is bias. Stay on her good side and he will pass you for sure!
She seems nice and objective at first but after a few weeks has a temper problem and snapped at 2 students. Has a son with ADD, gee I wonder why? Would not recommend her. She is pathetic and RUDE!
If you like an organized, outlined class that allows you to know exactly what you need to get in order to pass a class then Muse is the professor for you. She is extremely knowledgeable in management and you have the potential of learning a lot in this class and getting the A that you deserve. I really recommend Muse!
Muse is a descent professor, but the class was overall dull. It's not her, it's the class content. A lot of the concepts had already been covered in MGMT 443 and was basically theoretical. I do not really feel better at "team leadership skills" as a manager.
I took her for staffing She was very clear on everything she wanted from the students. 3 exams 3rd one is cumulative. She gives you everything you need that will be on her exam. I would definitely take her again. She gives you though assignments(HW) and they are pretty clear and easy. She grades on participation so make sure you talk a lot.
The class content is pretty straightforward. However, she makes the final so hard that everyone does poorly. Unfortunately, this is a significant chunk of the overall grade. Also, the group project is awful because you get stuck with whoever she chooses for you. Finally, she seems to play favorites and doesn't add much to the textbook material.
She is nice but never at her office so hard to get questions answered. The exams are not easy at all but passable.
Family Business class is probably the easiest class I have ever had. bunch of guest speakers and exams strictly from the power points. Dr. Muse is very nice and a very easy grader. short anser questions on the exam are very easy and she grades them easily too. Highly recommnded
She really cares about us. This class was so interesting that I would recommend it to every student. Go Dr. Muse. I recommend her 100%.
Muse is a decent professor. She knows her facts about staffing laws and hr in general. Participation is important to her and make sure you talk a little The exams are not too bad because they are solely based off lecture and thought assignments. Some of the math can trip you up in this class but all in all everyone should be able to get at least b-
Two exams, a comprehensive final, and a group project. Class is easy as long as you show up and take notes. She goes over the material very thoroughly and slowly so it's easy to follow. Recommended!
Took during summer '14. Professor is very kind. Definitely recommend. Didn't use the book in class but it is helpful in studying on your own. She posts her power points online. Class is pretty social as in you will work in groups many times.
I loved Professor Muse's MGMT 432 class. She was really good at explaining the concepts in the book. I read every chapter and reviewed notes and received an A. The group project is easy if everyone does their part. Participation is important and easy since she listens to everyone, even if you say the wrong answer. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Muse is an amazing instructor. I am a H.R. major and I look forward to take her again.
I love this professor, she was caring and inspired me learn. I will take her again next fall.
Muse was extremely vague about assignments, contradicted herself, and frequently late to class. Groups are randomly assigned, which meant I was able to get to know random people that were all extremely frustrated with her. Took her excessively long to grade tests and turn in grades. Avoid if you can, there has to be someone better.
Towards the end of the semester, none of my emails were replied to regarding to an assignment and questions about the final. Attendance is mandatory. There are 4 assignments, 3 exams, group presentation, and group paper. She was late about 90% of classes and did not show up for the final with no reason given. Good luck.
So 3 tests, 1 group project w mandatory attendance. Participation is supposedly required but people that never said a word got 90% in that section. She only showed up to half the classes, and would show up late to those times. Responses suck, especially towards end of the year. She didn't even show up to our final. She curves the final grade
This class was pretty easy, my test average was in the high 60's. but doing well on the group project significantly helped improve my grade to a B. Everyone generally does well on the project as long as you put in effort and do well on the presentation. She was late to every class and sometimes didn't show up without notice. No need for the book.
Worst professor I've taken in CSUF! Not very professional especially for a business professor I would expect more from her. She was always late to every class with some random excuse. She never showed up to our midterm. Impossible to get in contact with her after class. She posted our grades a month late! Her lectures are have no added value!
teaching is not her priority
Group project might be the killer. 15 page paper and a 30 min presentation. Groups are assigned so good luck. MC and free response tests. Don't need the book, just follow her powerpoints. Make sure you participate as most people only get 80% or 90%. The way she assigns it is random too, no explanation.
She was most of the time late for class and it is possible that she misses 1/2 classes. There are assignments you have to do but those are not very hard to do. Also there is a group work which has a paper and presentation. Tests are kind of difficult because it is hard to learn so much content at once.
Lori doesn't take teaching seriously. She never responded to emails, lectures weren't helpful as her powerpoints entirely lack detail. No clear grading criteria. Not transparent about test grades & doesn't provide any study material. She actually yelled at students in class. You should 100% take another teacher. Read the book because she wont help
Professor Muse is awesome. She understands the subject and made fun of us . Project is not too tough as people said. As long as you put your efforts, she will give you a good grade. She is not a tough grader . She is nice and helpful. Talk with her if you are legging behind or want to push your grade. She will be there to help. Exam is from her ppt
this class is heavily weighted on exams. Exams are tricky as her questions/answers are confusing at times. No need for the book, write down everything she says in class. She generally gives everyone an A-B average for the paper/presentation. Not the best class or professor but it is doable.
I had her for summer and it was not bad. Fastt 2 exams and the Final was not comprehensive The project is difficult but get a good team and you will be good. Not hard to talk to and her class was interested lots of experiences and real life stories. participate it does matter and makes a difference in your grade.
Don't need the book, just study her PowerPoints. Tests are a little tricky though. Participation is based on how well she likes you, not on actual participation. There are worse professors out there. Not too difficult a class.
She currently is the only professor teaching staffing so you have no other options. Lol Her class is fairly easy you have a group project and presentation. Exams are mostly based off of powerpoints but reading the book gives you more of an advantage on exams. She has good real world examples. She's a solid professor only downside class is too easy.
she was the teacher I had, I recommend her 100%.
Took her for summer, quite an easy, chill class I think. Has two tests (were not cumulative), two group projects, including presentations and a paper (she grades easy on these and not hard at all), and participation (as long as you say one or two things you'll get almost full credit). She teaches it well and I liked the class.
Take her for staffing! She is very accessible via email and office hours. She is there for the students and is willing to help you in any way. Final in cumulative but a guide is given by her benefit. You can't choose your group, but make sure to start early.
Just ok really.
I wish every professor was as organized as she is. She uses great examples so that students can understand the topic. Exams are a bit difficult but she allows for other ways to pull up your grade. Really recommend her class!
Took over summer - exams are kinda tricky, but you don't need the book. Two group projects - she grades very fairly. Attendance is required. Pay attention and go to lectures - she puts examples discussed in class in the test. Make sure to participate early on - easy points as long as you contribute / answer her questions. Would highly recommend!
This class isn't difficult, but don't take that for granted. Pay attention to lectures and take thorough notes! Participate in class discussion and ask questions. She's a great professor and really helps you understand the material.
Took her Summer Session A. This is my second time retaking it. She is a passionate prof and knowledgeable. There were two exams, business world example group presentation, group presentation, paper, and participation. First exam there was 45 mc, and five fill in the blanks, and the last exam 50 mc. Review the PPT, know the concepts, and you'll pass
ok Profressor
Dr. Muse is a great lecturer who provided interesting material. Grading based on tests, a group project, and participation/attendance (only downside.) Lastly, although the material seemed straightforward, her tests require critical thinking and not simple textbook definitions which I appreciated.
Pretty straight forward, 3 exams, a few easy HW assignments, and a group project. You'll need the book to study for the second and last exam, use her "study guide" it really helps!
Muse teaches a lot of HR classes so I recommend taking her consistently. Learn how she tests and you'll do great. You have to actually KNOW the material! Be able to explain it to someone else. She tries to somewhat trick you on the tests but she's worth it. She won't curve or round you up.
I've taken this professor for multiple classes. Don't raise your hand at all? Your max participation grade is an 85%. the exams ARE HARD-- no study guide. I feel bad because she really is a sweet person!!! But every person i spoke to struggled to get a C on the exam, really says something.
Exams are very confusing and trys to trick you on purpose. Make sure you write every word she says in lecture. She does not have a clear grading criteria for participation, I participated and some people didnt even speak but got 90% and I got 80%, didnt even clarify how she graded it either when I asked.
I took her in Spring '20 before transiting online for MGMT 343. The course consist of a Midterm, Final, Business World Example Presentation, Project Presentation, Participation, and Project Paper.
I take Dr. Muse in Summer 2020 during the pandemic. Its amazing to be in her class. She manages it so well from time to lectures. We had two presentations and it wasnt hard graded. Make sure to spend enough time to study lectures and join the class. Exams are based on it and in-class activity.
Dr. Muse was a great professor. I took her for session A this summer and although it was quite difficult to keep up with the content in an online environment, she did her best to make things accessible for students. The work she makes you do in this class is fair and reasonable. If you put in a minimal effort, you should get a B or an A. Good luck.
Hear me out, I failed her class once because I focused all my attention on another class. I took her again and got a B, she is a GREAT professor her lectures are really good. She makes participation apart of your grade and leads off your work experiences plus her own to make a connection when understanding the material. I would recommend her 100%.
Exams are very difficult, but there are only 3. Group project isn't too difficult. There are lots of discussions posts and small assignments that can be easy points. Professor Muse is a sweet lady and makes lectures enjoyable.
Great professor! Super passionate about her lectures. She really does a great job at lecturing and making the class interesting. Do not mess up on the first exam like i did. Her exams are not too bad as long as you study for them. I learned that flashcards really helped me in this class. The team project isnt too bad but you dont pick your team.
Best professor I had! All the lecture material she taught was easy to understand. Attend every session, take good notes, participate in every single class and it will be an easy A. She also replies to all emails & gives good feedback, which is a plus! Exams were easy if you actually understand the material. She even sends reminders for assignments
I love Professor muse. Shes helpful, gives feedback, and updates grades fast. Homework was to watch her lecture video and then participate in about 3 discussions every week, very easy. Every couple weeks she would have us do an extra assignment based off the lecture. We also had a group assignment. She grades kindly and her study guides arehelpful
I took prof muse in Spring'21 for MGMT 432. Had her for MGMT 340 and 343. We had two exams and a final, which are challenging. There are assignments, team paper, team presentation, and participation. I struggled in the course for doing poorly on two exams, and I manage to study hard to pass the final with an A, which led me passing the course.
Prof. Muse is a really good professor for MGMT 340. Her lectures are easy to follow and explains things clearly. Exams can be difficult but if you rewatch her lectures and pay attention to the chapter objectives, then it's an easy pass. Take her!
Professor Muse knows her stuff, is a lovely lady and is very fair to her students. You need to work well with your team for the project. Although I got the course book did not use it much. Her exams are not a slam-dunk so make sure you review the lecture and your notes well.
Two exams are very difficult in two parts a multi choice one and 4 Q to complete, one Group project isn't too difficult but need a lot of work. There are some of discussions posts and small assignments.
3 exams noncumulative & 1 group project which you'll present at the near end of the semester. The short multiple-choice quizzes and short discussions each week are easy. Taking notes while playing the lecture vids at 1.5x before the exam helped me a lot!
Dr. Muse is very knowledgeable! Make sure to take really good notes since a lot of the exam material is based on it. Ive had her for 3 different classes & she has always been very nice. The exams are the most difficult! If you do not have good notes from lecture. Make sure you are present in class because that will prepare your notes for the exam.
She is super awesome, very knowledgeable and nice. She explains things really simply and the tests were very straightforward. I liked her a lot and would take her for other classes if I could. Group project is pretty big
Very knowledgeable and kind professor. Several discussion posts. 3 exams. Final is cumulative. A LOT of group work as well as a final group project. Take really good notes for the exams! The class is tedious, but you definitely learn a thing or two from her. I did the bare minimum in class and still passed.
If you go to class, participate and pay attention this is an easy class. Be careful on the wording of her exams, and be sure to study! It is very easy to get an A or a B in her class if you pay attention.
This is not an easy class. You must put some work into this class and assignments, follow her lectures and be aware of tricky (unnecessary) questions. Staffing exams stressed me out. She picks her favorites, but participation and attendance can help you... she does not curve!!! Good luck
Loved her!! Made lectures fun, and she actually cares about students learning. I wish there wasn't a group project bc it was summer & online, but it wasn't too bad tbh. The class was easy and I actually learned. I'll take her again any chance I get. Textbook isn't necessary, she tests off her ppts. 10/10 recommend for a summer class.
She's pretty chill. Only zoom on Wednesdays, everything else is pre-recorded. Quizzes here and there on pre-recorded content. Uses proctorio. Group project, 15 pages, & presentation. Discussion boards are easy just give examples & answer fully. Exams are not hard, but do pay attention to any and all examples she talks about. A lot to memorize.
Very well-organized the course provides all the materials necessary to get a grade above a C. Very nice and caring. However, tests are pretty hard with misleading questions. One group paper and presentation. Weekly discussion posts (easy). Must have camera on during zoom meetings.
FANTASTIC teacher when it comes to giving lectures & simplifying the content & giving great examples but for an online class she was no where near as accessible as she should have been. Poor responsiveness & lack of organization throughout course. Tests were difficult and the class average on most tests was a D or low C. No curve, no extra credit.
This is a tough class! Average exams are D/C. The exams are just hard. Multi choice some short answer. I really enjoyed the class. I think everyone learned a ton. But we just got smacked down on exams. Really important to have a good group members also. If you don't mind a challenge go for it. If this is elective class you may want to pass.
I took this class online and it really felt like everything she said was in one ear out the other. You legitimately gain nothing from attending all of the lectures (which you do have to do) as well as having very difficult tests that come with zero transparency on what it is you got wrong and how you can improve. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Overall a great professor, two exams and a final that are proctored. One group presentation via zoom which wasn't bad at all, but she does grade precisely so follow rubric closely and you will do good. Her online lecture videos are dated but she broke them up into small chunks which made it easier to watch and take notes.
Honestly, she is such a great professor. I would recommend her to anyone who actually puts in the work. Her lecture videos were only about 15-20 mins long and exams were heavily based on them. Watch the lectures carefully and take notes and you'll be fine. 2 exams, a final, and group presentation. Weekly discussion posts about the lectures.
If you're considering this class as an elective, I wouldn't recommend it. Unfortunately, it's the only staffing class available at CSUF, and she's the only professor who teaches it. Her exams can be really confusing since she often rewords questions. Exams include short answer essays. Also, she's a pretty tough grader.
Her lectures are fun, but when it came to exams, it was terrible—confusing multiple choice questions and open response questions. Graded by discussion posts, in-class assignments, 1 group project and exams.
If I was given the opportunity to take this class, I wouldn't take it with her again. Lecture and slide can be understandable, but for whatever reason, her exam and quiz are extremily difficult and confusing. make sure to study well and understand if not, you will easily fail
Online hybrid class. On zooms, she doesn't not lecture but instead you are required to watch her lecture videos on asynchronous days. You will spend the entire semester working on a group project. Exams contain confusing wording.
Muse's teaching would best be described as lazy. This was a hybrid class where Mondays consisted of pre-recorded content FROM 2020, and Wednesday would be a new lesson without review of the pre-recorded content/discussion questions. Be prepared to teach yourself, she says she wants to help, but she yelled at our entire class when we asked questions
she isn't the professor that actively looks to help students. she will put out the material and it is ur job to understand it. her lecture days are spent talking about anything but class material and you'll have to instead watch pre-recorded lectures on asynchronous days. u spend most of the time on a group project (randomly assigned).
Class consists of discussions, group assignments, a group project & 3 exams. Professor Muse is strict w/ cheating, not very clear w/ instructions & can be confusing. Only one study guide is given, short answer ?s are involved & does kahoots for review. Overall, didn't like the class & wished there were more than one professor teaching this course.
Discussions, quizzes, team report/presentation, 3 exams (2 w/ saqs). Pros: final isn't cumulative with good participation, prof gives feedback, most ppl got As on project. Cons: prof seems reluctant to answer exam questions & gets frustrated at times, classes may be stressful until presentations, exams may be tricky, no extra credit/curve.
I stopped looking both ways when crossing Nutwood walking to her class in hopes I wouldn't make it. Ask this ginger for help and she hits you with the NPC look like she didn't spend 30 mins lecturing in riddles.
Professor Muse didn't really keep me engaged much during the semester. Her class was a bit of a drag but I got it done regardless. Be prepared to read and memorize a lot of work.
