not an easy teacher. she gives you essays and they get harder as you go along. if you're taking this teacher be prepared to do work. if you slack of and are absent you will be lost and fail. for an EBS teacher she makes you feel like your in english comp2

She's hard, but I learned a lot. I am more confident that I can write for all my classes now. She uses great books too.

This professor was hard but fair. It was very difficult in the beginning but turned out to be ok at the end.

She was very hard at first but she ended up being a cool teacher. She does give a huge amount of work and if you are going to get her good luck because i hope you can free write. she is very helpful and woulndt mind getting her again

there is alot of work but it is all very useful later on in the comp classes if ur lazy do not take her I liked her alot but some of the other students thought she was hard cause she gives ALOT of work I would take g=her again

Tough teacher but you will learn a lot. After taking her EBS class my Comp 101 class was cake. She gives a lot of work and demands it on time. If you want to improve on your English Skills definitely take her.Don't miss any of her classes.

The amount of work issued definetly kept you on your toes. If you want to learn how to write a proper essay and perhaps enjoy a good book, take her. The work pays off for those who need help in writing. She is very professional and expects your best. You will learn just as I did.

Honestly she's not as helpful as everyone says. EBS is so pointless and she gives too much homework for a basic skills class. there is a lot of work but homework is very easy and to the point. basically all the work is tedious and the class gets very annoying to go to

honestly shes really not hard. yes, you get more work than you would like for an ebs class, but its not hard... i really did not learn a thing in the class but it was an easy A.

You know from day one what she wants. She is very predictable. From week one you can choose if you want to stay. She helped me a lot. I took her a year ago and everything she taught me helped me in all classes. she is great, and sincere.

I took her about 1 year ago and she was the best professor I ever had. What she expected from you she told you day one and helped me a lot through the class. Everything she says you do you will pass the class with flying colors...

I have already earned a bacheors degree in bio. I took a few courses at a community college prior to grad school which includes this IST college success course. Prof. was very helpful and adhered to syllabus. Very knowledgeable in english. Kind teacher. Full of activities, groupwork, & self-writing. Learned alot re: self growth/academic success.

i had her for success 101, she is a amazing person and professor. she really cares for her students. she is very easy to talk to and you feel comfortable with telling her about anything. a book is used we only do journals if you do the work and hand it in you will be fine.Also participate in class discussions.

she is great, very approachable. this class you will learn how to succeed as a student in college and in Life and take these tips with you. i never liked speaking up in class and i now i feel a lot more comfortable. she helped with making schedules as well as showing you how to reach your goals. she is one of the best prof. take her!!!

AMAZING WOMEN. so nice and understanding. textbook is required and i recommend any new student coming into Bergen take this course it helps so much learning about college, the school and helpful tips for your future. No test, just write papers but they are all on your opinions so they are easy as cake. she also i a academic adviser if you need help

She's very nice, and her class wasn't necessarily easy but it wasn't hard either. As long as you do the papers, you're perfectly fine.

She is the most lovable and caring teacher anyone could ever ask for . She is an open book and has an open door policy . She's answers all of your questions , is extremely fair with all of the assignments and students . She's a great judge of character and is very open to meeting during her office hours and answers all emails and questions .

ProfT. is funny smart and a fair grader. She gives homework but you just need to hand everything in on time and be there to get a good grade.

I love Professor T. I'm taking her for Write 101 with EBS 33. Homework requires a lot of hours. You need to talk in class and homework needs to be on time. It's easy A if you do her homework on time and participate in class. She is very sweet woman and caring. Take her class I heard other ist professors are not as caring and not as organize.

Professor Talarico is a professor I would so take again. She is really caring and always helps you with whatever you need. There is a lot of homework but it is do able. She really wants all of her students to succeed and is someone who is very inspirtational. This class is not a waste of time it is truly helpful!

This is my second class with Prof T. She makes learning easy and interesting. She definitely expects you to be there and do the homework but you will really learn a lot and it will help you with all your other subjects. She gave me confidence in my writing ability.

Professional Talarico is honestly so caring. There are a lot to write, but she makes it interesting and helps out so much! She is a great professor and even someone you can talk to. She truly cares about her students and doesn't just help with "writing and English " but also helps with other things like scheduling or anything you have questions on!

Professor Talarico is AMAZING! She really cares about her students' success. Her IST class feels like more than just a grade. She teaches valuable lessons. She hosts multiple guest speakers throughout the semester and overall it's a very enjoyable class. As for grading, just do the work and you'll do great! She's not a pedant, but hates excuses!

She really makes you think about issues and deal with stuff. I learned so much, not only just about writing, either. She really cares for her students and helps you when you need it. Just be sure to do you work and it will all be great.

Prof T tells it to you straight but shows you exactly how to get your best grade. You have to do the work but she guides you through it all. Def learned a lot.

This was a great English class. We read great stuff, had relevant discussions and always got good instructions on how to write. Prof T cares about her students and is always fair. She relly expects you to attend but it's worth being there.

Prof T is great. She helps you with anything. She helped me with financial aid and also some personal stuff. Her classes are funny and inspirational. She expects you to be there and do your work but it's not hard. She is one of the best teachers here and I hope I can take her again in English.

In WRT101 we read great stories and talked about a lot of real stuff. No subject was off limits and the class was actually fun to attend. You have to do the work or you can't keep up. if you do each journal and paper as due, it's pretty doable. This prof is caring, funny and actually listens to you.

As a returning student I can truly say that she is one of the best profs I've ever had. She's kind, organized, funny and makes you think. Of course she expects you to be in class and hold up your end of the bargain, but it's not hard and you'll learn a lot.

I took her for Success 101, EBS and then Writing 101. I just love her. She'll answer any question and makes sure you understand before she goes on. You can meet her anytime outside of the class and she'll work with you if you have a problem and tell her straight. If you keep up and to the work you'll get a great grade and really learn.

She is kind, interesting and funny. I like the final project. It was fun and personally interesting. I'd take her for WRT 102 if she taught it.

The best thing about this class is that it's never boring. We read interesting and relevant material and had good discussions. She is very liberal and tolerant of a lot of ideas. She does expect you to be there and be prepared, and if you are you wont have trouble doing the assignments.

I love Prof T. Took her for Success before WRT. She's always available for extra help, answers emails right away, and you can really tell her your problems and she'll listen. She really helped me through a tough personal time and allowed me to still be able to pass the class by working things out with me.

This has been a great class. We read really interesting material and had great discussions about real issues that matter. She is open minded and can handle controversy from students. Really made me think about things. IF you do the work on time and come to class, you should get a decent grade.

This class has a lot of writing but as long as you hand in papers on time, you can get rewrites. Prof T explains things really well and is always available for extra help. She listens and takes the extra time because she cares. She actually got to know each of us as individual and took care of us, so to speak.

The subjects we read were really interesting and Prof T wanted our honest thoughts and opinions. We talked about real stuff. She made it a point of understanding how we thought and felt and her class became close, like friends. We had people from so many countries and everyone had an equal voice. People really risked sharing. It was refreshing

She's one of a kind that way she really listens to students and cares. She actually asks how you how you feel and how you're doing. My class got close and really became friends. I hate to admit it but I grew up from dealing with some of the issues we dealt with in class. taking her next for writing 101. She really made me think.

Class just ended and I am sad. We had a good time and got close as a group. the readings and papers were interesting. She doesn't do time wasters and she's a progressive thiniker. Very open minded. we could discuss anything. very amazing for an older teacher.

She is a unique prof. She actually wants to know what you think even if you disagree. She is funny and gets to know you and what matters in your life. I loved the final project-worth my time.

Do your work and shell help you if you need something. She gives feedbacks and papers on a timely manner. Prof Talarico is not an easy professor which means you need to work hard, but at the end of the day youll feel that she cares for you/everyone. Shes not confusing. I wish I was able to take her again, but my schedule didnt match to hers.

Prof. Talarico changed my outlook on life, even years later. Initially upset that I had to take (pay for) Success 101, I quickly learned to pay attention to the source material and take advantage of extra opportunities. Students that cared and listened succeeded, those that didn't, didn't. Be goal oriented, participate, and get to know the prof!

Prof. Talarico is an amazing professor who is caring, respectful, and truly cares for her students. You will get an easy A in WRT101 as long as you follow instructions and make sure to submit all of your assignments. She always gave great feedback and made the class a breeze. There were not any tests or finals, just mainly writing assignments.

This new course, Intro to LGBTQ Cultures is amazing. The content was informative, inspirational, and gave me a good perspective to work in my field of sociology.

This class was a lot of work, but Professor Talarico was always available for questions. The material was not difficult, but involved a lot of writing and watching videos/discussion posts. Assignments were clearly outlined each week and she gave great feedback. Hard work is reciprocated with good grades. Do the assignments on time and you will pass

The assignments were organized and clear; she gave you at least a week to complete them, and she answered emails quickly. She also allows you to fix or redo an assignment if you score poorly. She gives you an online textbook link to use, so there's no purchasing needed. It was a great and insightful class to take and an easy A!

Prof. Talarico's class was a mixed bag - organized assignments, but slow grading. The workload was heavy, but I found Unstuck study really helpful for study prep. Overall, a challenging yet insightful course.

Professor Talarico does give a little bit more of a work load than others, but is available out of class and quick to reply with an email. She gives good feedback and offers a lot of extra credit, the papers were given almost 3 weeks in advance to get them done so honestly the best advice is to have good time management skills.
