I like Ms. Trumbo. She lays it on the line for you. She doesn't take any junk, and you have to WORK for your grade. I think most people think that speech will be an easy "A" and when they realize that they have to actually work for it, they freak! Grow up babies, You're in the big leagues now!!!

Mrs. Trumbo is an excellent teacher. Be on time for class and do your work and you won't have a problem. She has a great sense of humor and makes class fun. She always has great in class activities that make you think and are entertaining. She's a fun

Best class I've ever taken... definatly helped me.

What I like about her is that she not under the impretion that we'll make careers of the class content. But she does believes it is helpful to our future careres. The most you'll write is an outline and she'll give you one to go by. I work and go to school F/time it nice to have an class that you can breeze thru..her class is one of those.

I enjoyed Lori tremendously. She kept the class interesting.

Lori Trumbo is a great teacher who will teach you the basics of public speaking. I have an easy A in the class now. I hate speaking in front of large crowds, but so far have did great on all my speeches. I recommend her for spc 205. She's great and loves to laugh too. Awesome teacher!

If you want to learn something in this class, she is the teacher!

I took her online class so I only know her from the few times we got together. Do not arrive to class late!! Speaking properly is important to her so if you want a good grade, put forth the effort. She will help you any way she can. Very nice and I would highly recommend her. Follow her instructions exactly and you will do fine.

When it comes to the subject , she knows her stuff. Be at class 5 minutes early or you are late. Often is unnecessarily rude and doesn't care if she hurts anyone's feelings. She is not a people person. Do one wrong thing and she'll have a grudge. Either you love her or you hate her. Should come with a tag that reads: Warning - extremely explosive.

Best teacher I've had! Ms. Trumbo can make a 3 hour class so much fun that won't feel like 3 hours. She is VERY helpful and gives you points just for showing up and participating. She is a great teacher for someone who cares about schooling. Show up on time and listen to what she says and you'll do fine!

I learned a lot from her class. The key is to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. As well, she will never deviate from the syllabus, so read it carefully. Keep your cell phone off; better yet, keep it in your car. Also, NEVER COME LATE TO CLASS. She is very helpful in and outside the classroom, so don't piss her off... you will always lose.

I love Ms. Trumbo! A great teacher, funny, caring, and a good friend. She expects you to do your best and makes class fun!

She was nice to me but some people dropped the class because she was rude to them. The class is VERY easy but the 2 exams were hard (material out of the book but the rest of the class wasn't). Also, don't sit in the front row because you might get spit on. Told crazy stories and uses outdated videos. Do the work and keep quiet and she'll like you.

Ms. Trumbo is a "lay it on the line" professor. She treats students like she is supposed to treat students: LIKE THEY ARE IN COLLEGE and not in high school or junior high school. That being said, don't be a slacker, stroll into class late or be a smart ass,you should make an "A." Otherwise, find someone else to babysit u. She does not PLAY!

fun class, 4 main speeches are required in this class. Outline's are due before you speak,at the begining of class,if you are late to class 10 points off outline. Very straight foward teacher. Make sure you are on time to class.

She is a story teller! And she is clearly exaggerating but doesn't care. She's soo liberal. I did my free speeches on very republican figures. But i also didn't get the grade i felt i deserves because i wasn't her favorite. She will like you or hate you. She is from Illinois and hates southerns pretty much. The 2 tests were hard-read the book.

I love her! She is an amazing teacher! She will help you with your Speech and give you ideas. She brings snacks for us to eat. Overall she is a great teacher who knows what she's doing. Very intelligent! I highly recommend her :)

Ms.Trumbo is a great teacher.If you are in school just to get a passing grade dont take her class. However if you are here to learn the material and become more self confident in public settings,then Ms. Trumbo is for you! She is not a babysitter. She teaches college not 1st grade. Respect her and her class and you'll get the same respect back!

Ms. Trumbo is badass! I love her class! She does these little excercises for everyone to get to know one another. I've met alot of cool people because of it. She expects us to do well, but she gives us all the tools we need to do so. If she taught a different class, I would def take it!

I had her for Public Speaking and it was easy. Class is fun and she has lots of stories to tell! Tests and quizzes are super easy. She is fairly easy to get along with but just make sure you dont get on her bad side. Awesome teacher!

Ms. Trumbo is a very intersting instructor. She know her stuff and she does have great stories that discuss "life" as well as public speaking. My tips are to listen to and follow her instructions and be on-time (even a little early) for class. If you do the work and follow instructions, you will do well. She's a great instuctor.

Amazing teacher who really cares. As long as you do the work and give her what she asks for on the assignment, you will pass. Those who failed didn't do what was required. She tells a lot of stories, but they always have some kind of meaning or life lesson. Take this class, you will love it!!!!

Got off on wrong page with her to begin semester, ultimately ended up turning a new leaf and not only was class more enjoyable but she also assisted me in my transfer program and helped pave the way for me to transfer. Great teacher, if you respect her she'll respect you.

Absolutely fantastic professor. Tells a lot of stories- but if you stay focused and listen she will teach you a lot. I'm really glad I had the chance to take her class.

At first I was not sure about Trumbo but I ended up really enjoying her class and would take her again

Great teacher, show her respect and participate in class. If you do the work and follow her clear guidelines an A is easily attainable even if you're terrified of public speaking. I wish she taught more subjects. Also, DO NOT SKIP CLASS

Ms. Trumbo creates a very professional and purposeful environment in her class. She treats you as a fellow adult and expects you to do the work she has assigned. To sum up how she teaches her class , Ms. Lori said a few times in class "I am the teacher, not you." I would highly recommend printing the syllabus! I loved being challenged in the HW.

This is the best teacher I have ever had at Greenville Tech. She emailed me everyday outside of class to answer my questions, she grades very fast, is absolutely hilarious, and deserves to be on the Ellen Show! If you have questions ask because she is more than willing to help! Even after class I will stay in contact with her! I highly suggest her

This professor genuinely cares about your success! Keep up with learnsmart activities and throughly prepare for your speeches and you will excel! She is also hilarious!

Grades speeches strictly but is a very good teacher

Ms. Trumbo was one of those rare professors that made me excited to go to class. She taught concepts clearly and was extremely helpful when asked any questions. You do need to go to this class because almost every class has graded in class work. The speeches are not hard if you prepare as soon as they are assigned.

Ms. Trumbo is genuinely a good teacher & person. As I read the ratings I see where they come from b/c a teacher like her is rare. Sadly most students today cant handle reality unless its sugarcoated . Ms. Trumbo is truthful and direct. I love her & I love her stories! She has def changed the way I listen to people speak! Realest teacher!

Ms. Lori is an amazing instructor. She seems to genuinely care about her students and their success. Be prepared to put in some work on your speeches. But also remember to breath during them. Every single one of your classmates have to give the speech too. Ms. Lori is not as scary as most people say. She really is a fantastic instructor.

I loved this class and Ms. Trumbo! Many people struggled to get good grades on their speeches, and I truly believe it is due to lack of effort. Her expectations are extremely clear. Treat her instructions like a "speech formula." If you have all of the elements and execute is decently, you will be dandy. BUT do NOT be late to class on speech days!

Okay, so Ms. Trumbo is a very nice lady unless you make her mad. DO NOT get on her bad side or she will make sure you do not pass her class. You also def have to work hard and she is a very tough grader but tells you exactly what shes looking for.

Everyone on here saying how hard she is but when I was listening to other speeches I was thinking "am I the only one who read the instructions?" I thought she was great, answered all of my emails quickly, and gave me everything I needed to pass the class. She could be kind of tough on things but sometimes that's what makes a good teacher

Mrs. Trumbo is a nice person and a good teacher. This class is not hard at all, basically all you need to do is put in effort and do the work correctly. She grades stuff very fast and she is also very understanding.

Kind of a hard class just because she is a tough grader on speeches, but if you do the work, and do it right you should be able to fly through this class. The class is fun and Lori is a pretty cool person.

She gives super clear instructions and feedback. As long as you follow her instructions I promise you will pass. She is super understanding of it being a learning environment and her grades are fair. If you're a good student I think you will enjoy her class, I'm not sure why her ratings are so bad. She always responded quickly and was helpful.

I was terrified to take this class: 1.) Terrified of public speaking. 2.) I read the reviews for Ms. Trumbo on this website. This is a clear example of why you should form your own opinions. I LOVED Ms. Trumbo! She is a great professor! This is not a bird course, you have to put forth effort, if you try she will go above and beyond to help you.

Absolutely the toughest grader I've experienced, but provides super detailed feedback. My grade improved as I got better at listening to her feedback, but she is very particular in her grading process. She genuinely cares about her impact as an educator. Went from my least favorite teacher to most respected by the end of the semester.
