Mrs. walk is a great teacher she will help you all the time. just do your work and be their you will pass. i learned alot and that was not my favorite subject but know after taking it with MRS.WALK she makes it fun and interesting. take it she is a great teacher

If you go with the attitude that you earnestly want to get something out of the class, you should be fine. However, for my section it was very dependent on your motivation. The class is structured - but is college about the time you spend in class? She is knowledgeable in her subject and well versed in others. She earned my respect.

I am ESL student and I think Mrs. Walk is the best teacher that I've had! She is a great teacher. I learned a lot with her. If you are trying to improve your English, she is the best teacher for you. believe me.

Will go out of your way to see that you are successful, is intimidating at times, but wants you to be successful, she knows her stuff and is here to show you!

At first, I really liked her but as the class progressed, it became worse and worse. She made three students cry in my class. She can be harsh. There are so many different assignments that it can be hard to keep them all in order. She is not always the best at clarifying either and will make you feel stupid.

This was a tough class. Mrs. Walk has high expectations of every student who walks through the door. However, I learned more form this class the any other and Mrs. Walk too the time and effort to make sure that all the material was understood. I will be looking for her again for other classes.

Professor Lori Walk is great. She's tough, knowledgeable, demands respect, she's fair and willing to work with you. The material is not hard. I took the class in the summer so there is a lot of material to cover in a short period of time. I learned a lot from Professor walk and would definitely take another class with her.

I learned too much with her and she was there when some student need help. She is really good teacher. If you are really interesting in learning take her.

Love her, even when I am not in class still asks how things are going. If you want to learn and have fun take this professor.

Prof Walk is good at what she does. She works with you and wants you to succeed. I took her class because it was mandatory for a University transfer, but looking back its helped me in my other classes. I seen her on campus between classes the following year and she remembered me and was genuinely interested in my progress. She is a great teacher

Pros to this professor: she gives enough extra credit opportunities, she will help you by evaluating your essays prior to due dates, she will answer your emails promptly, and she accommodate time to meet with you. Cons: She can be rude to students during class, at times can be condescending, and might treat you like you are in elementary school.

Lori Walk is a great teacher. Because of the opportunities I had to practice teaching, I believe I am better prepared for teaching students.

Good professor, she can be rude if you ask stupid questions. She grades quickly, replies to your emails right away. She will teach you! You'll actually learn in her class.

I got an A in her class not because I'm smart but because I completed my assignments on time, asked her for help, took advantage of the extra credit opportunities and read the books. This class was more interesting than English101,102..Overall it was a great class and she's just an amazing individual

This class is very demanding and difficult. You have to have a lot of time on your hands. She can be quite intimidating, but she knows her stuff. She is extremely educated and I've learned more in her class than any other this semester.

The sweetest person ever. Great class she is so compassionate about everything she teaches and truly cares about every student. If you can get in this class you are one of the lucky ones!!.. She cares about you learning what you need to know. She helps you even if you don't realize she is doing it.Simply put, She is the best! hands down.

Lori is a great teacher, she will help you with whatever you need, and is always clear with what he wants. Take her class, show up to class, do the work, and you're good to go.

She really cares about her students and success. She will answer any question. Give's lots of different tools to help you be successful and is willing to help you out. Even if it is not about the class she will help you out and listen.

Amazing professor. Definitely take this course if you wish to learn what it is to be a teacher and how you can become a great one at that. Her course work makes you want to learn and see how you can apply what you have learned. It also appeals to all learning styles! You pick what assignments you want to earn points with along with mandatory ones

Lori Walk is a tough one alright, but for a very good reason. If you really want to go to class and learn, I really suggest her class. She's amazing and she's always there for you whenever she is needed. She gives a good amount of work that if you do, you'll get great skills out of. I would definitely take her class again!

SHE IS A VERY AWESOME TEACHER. LOVE HER! I took her RDG081 class (even though I belonged in CRE101) and she was an awesome teacher. She was very clear about what she expects from you. When the class is not doing well she will do anything to help the entire class, or even an individual. She may treat you like a kid, ONLY if you act like one.

If you show up to class and participate you should earn an A in Lori's class. Lori does assign a lot of assignments but most are worth little points and your grade is not dependent upon them. She also gives extra credit if you are struggling. I would definitely take another class from her.

Mrs. Walk is an awesome teacher. She wants every student to succeed, and she gives MANY opportunities for extra credit. Don't ever take her sarcasm to heart, because most of the time she's kidding.

IF YOU NEED TO TAKE CRE101, DO NOT TAKE IT WITH ANYBODY OTHER THAN HER. If you need help, she will 100% help you out with your grade. SUPER EASY! and you actually learn a lot.

Get ready to read, participation matters, skip class? You won't pass, expect group projects, lots of homework, inspirational, accessible outside of class, clear grading criteria, hilarious, amazing lectures, extra credit offered, test not heavy, no textbook, the class was entertaining as she always had musical instruments in class.

This class was probably the easiest A I have ever received. It is arranged as a hybrid class and during class you have the ability to work on the online homework. There is a bunch of work to do for the class but it will take you at max 2 hours a week. Easy class presented by an amazing professor. Lori is great 10/10 would recommend.

Lori Walk has prepared me for my career as an educator. She not only has taught me a great deal about ELL students and how I can meet their specific needs- she has given me tools to prepare me for my role. She is helpful and willing to answer any questions I may have regarding an assignment. She provides critical/encouraging feedback.

Great professor! At first I was very unsure, but the way she teaches is very unique and actually inspired me to teach in a very similar way. I loved the way she took care of each of her students and the things learned in class are very applicable to how you'll teach in the future. I highly recommend her.

Lori is a wonderful teacher once you get to know her. She makes you think for yourself but you eventually get it! She does give extra credit opportunities and wants you to do well.

Honestly, she taught me a lot during the semester. A lot of what she taught I will be implementing into my classroom when I begin to teach. I had an issue with my fingerprint card not getting here on time and she was nice enough to give me a incomplete to finish it the following semester. Overall, she was awesome! She expects you to participate!

Lori is one of the best instructors I have had at Glendale Community College. She provides lots of extra credit opportunities, and always gives you help. If I was ever unsure about something, she was there to give me feedback. I highly recommend her as a Critical Reading instructor! 10/10.

If your serious about school and want to take something out of class besides credit hours this is the professor for you. She really cares about your success. Plenty of chances for extra credit.

At first she was very tough, but she grows on you. She pushed a lot of us to become better and I feel if it was not for her being super tough on us, I would not have passed. Do not wait until the last min to do your assignments. The homework is very time consuming but SUPER easy.

At first I was shocked on how she was teaching, but I know understand why she was approaching things the way she was. You have to work in this class but as long as you are participating you will pass.

She is a tough teacher,, but this is college. Willing to work with me through difficult times and really cared about me passing the class.

I would totally have to disagree with all the negative comments being directed towards Lori. Some of her assignments were hard, but if you asked for help and followed the directions, it was always worth it at the end. She definitely gives good feedback when grading your essays. She is the most caring teacher I have have ever had in general!

Lori is the best teacher I've ever had. She is so engaging and encourages her students to engage and help each-other. She is thorough and is always available to help. Her class is paced and as long as you show up and stay on track you'll do fine. She gives you everything you need to pass, you just need to use the resources.

I LOVED Lori! She was the best English teacher I have ever had. She cares so much about you and your grade, she will give you feedback and help you with your assignments if needed, its all about communication with her. At first she might come off condensing and rude but only because youre not used to her! She cares and wants to be apart of your growth process! I learned a lot in her class and it seemed hard at first but you get out what you put in. Her assignments are time consuming but easy! Do not take if you are not outgoing because she is very interactive!

LITERALLY MY FAVORITE!!! She's very nice and caring and teaches with passion! At first, you might think she's rude or tough but she's the total opposite. As you get to know her she very kind & caring. She will give out multiple extra credit opportunities for the class. There wasnt a lot of homework which was nice but you have to you youre notes and makes sure you include everything she asks for in each essay.

Professor Walk is a great teacher that wants her students to succeed. By helping her students succeed, she helps by providing great feedback on assignments. She also gives a lot of homework but gives plenty of time to finish. If you like to write papers, this is the class you want.

This class maybe be fast, but she adjusted a lot of the due dates to help students stay on course! I loved how fast she responded to any messages sent, it really helped a lot. Professor Walk also gave students chances to improve some grades as well! Though remember, it is a fast class, so be prepared to do a lot of assignments!

If you are interested in learning and are open to redoing assigments to esure you learn and are open to feedback you will do great with this course. Lori Walk will help you grow and ensure you learn everything you need to as long as you are open to redoing assinments you did poorly on.

Lori Walk was an amazing teacher for me although she does give a lot of assignments as long as you read and follow her directions you can easily pass her class. She encourages her students to eat, drink water, and be social with those around them. She is very interactive with her students.

I had a good time in her class, as many people say yes she can be a tough grader but at this stage you are supposed to be held to higher expectations for your writings. She has always provided me with good feedback and I've seen her do the same with all the other students in my class, as long as you communicate with her you will succeed.

Lori Walk gives multiple opportunities for extra credit. She is very accommodating if you are having issues turning something in. Just be sure to communicate that with her. She is also very good with response time, and I thought texting allowed me the quickest response if I needed an answer quickly. She was a great professor.

CANT SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT WALK. IM NOW PREMED AT ASU WITH A 3.2 AFTER DROPPING OUT OF HIGHSCHOOL AND SHE WAS THE FIRST PROFESSOR, TEACHER EVEN, THAT HELPED ME GET ON TRACK. SHE GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND.

I think Prof. Walk gets a bad rap from immature and fixed mindset students. As a older student who returned to college years later after serving in the Military I had no issues with her or the class. I found that students that did not like her or did not succeed in her class often had poor accountability. No one is forcing you to go to college.
