Her tests are really really easy, as long as you go to class and take her notes. I never read a single thing in her class cuz the tests are right from notes. Just be careful you follow her directions when writing your essays.

She is excellent. Very helpful. You will do well on the tests as long as you come to class. The bulk of the material on tests is from her lectures, only a few questions are from the assigned reading.

She was very easy and made the class fun! Just go to class and take the notes and you will do fine on tests!!!

It's really fun to go to class and listen to her talk..she's nuts over history..if you study your notes and do well on your papers, you'll do great! I liked her lectures.

She's an energetic teacher. There is nothing bad you can say about her class, she gets into her lectures and is willing to stop to explain if you dont understand what she's talking about. She likes old movies and uses them for bonus questions

The tests are not multiple choice they are fill in the blank and short answer. IT IS SO HARD and i studied everything any other class I would have goten an A but I got a B if your anal about your grades DO NOT TAKE HER>>>>

Made history interesting, extremely smart woman--tests a little stressful w/ open-ended questions, essay, some multiple choice.The assigned readings are a lot to take in along with the notes but there is only a handful of questions that come from the book

She is awsome, makes history interesting, doesn't like the French, Test are very easy, as long as you can give her an idea you know what your talking about she will count it. Great person, Great Teacher.

She is a great teacher. Her space history class is very interesting but not too hard. I knew nothing of space and am very interested in the subject now because of her class. No surprises on exams (but there are essay questions though).

She is a great teacher, actually makes class fun! I never read the book, just studied notes and got an A. If you miss a class MAKE SURE TO GET THE NOTES, also make sure to write down any tangent about movies or tv shows- she uses them for extra credit!

You can tell that she really loves her subject. I lucked out with the oral history assignment (which was a unique opportunity) b/c my grandfather contributed to the Apollo program. Interesting lectures and I learned alot.

An interesting look at history through movies, TV and other forms of pop-culture. Now I can't stop analyzing a movie - but that's a good thing.

This is the second web course I have taken with Dr. Walters. She should give a class to the other online profs on how to do it right. Resonable assignments and doesn't have you bouncing all over the place in her modules.

Great teacher. Had her for 2 classes. Easy! Go to class listen and take notes and you will be fine for the exams. 2 papers - Oral and Newspaer for Space History. Would recommend!

Maybe all the nice things they say about this professor are true but they forgot one very important negative point: excessive amount of work. It’s one essay after another. I had to dedicate most of my time to her one class. It’s write write write. I felt I was on a creative writing class. If you like essays, go for her. Otherwise, RUN!

I had her for two classes online and one face to face. Enjoyed all of them. The work load was not difficult in either version. Had no problems with her grading and she always answered my emails. History of the Future was great!

Took this class online and found it very informative. I really learned alot. Good paced course and just the right amount of assignments. Dr. Walters was quick answering emails and was always helpful. Recommend this class. Look forward to taking her again

Awesome professor. Yeah, there's reading and essays to write, but this is college.. it's expected. She's always available to help out and will explain anything that's unclear. Very fair and not too hard. Interesting class!

Ignore the bad reviews. I am not the teacher either. I didn't even read any of the books and yes there were a lot of them. It is not hard at all. Essays (4 or 5 pages at most) are on 2 movies from certain periods and you choose them. It is pretty easy as long as you TRY.

Dr. Walters is a wonderful teacher. The class was interesting and the class was not difficult.

This is my second class with Dr. Walters online. Yes, she has lots of reading, but they are not texts and are very relevant to the courses, also to Space History. I am not the most wonderful writer, but have always gotten good grades on all of her essays. Will be taking more classes with this professor. Don't listen to the complainers!!

Online class. Not very easy. A lot of reading and posting. 2 movies to watch and write papers on. Not a good class to take if you don't have a lot of history background...she assumes a lot.

I took this course online, and it was easy to keep up with. Just weekly reading assignments and either an assignment or quiz each week, both quick and easy. Exams are easy if you do all the other stuff I just mentioned. Great class.

Awesome! Not that much work especially for an online class. Instructor responds w. lightning like speed. Very interesting topics covered. Books for class can be a little overboard at times-but doable. highly recommend!

I have taken two online classes with Dr. Walters and both times I enjoyed it. I learned so much. I highly recommend her. She does asign a lot of reading. But it is all very interesting information. She is awsome about answering emails quickly often times in as little as a few minutes. Highly recommend her!!!

I really enjoy taking online classes with Dr. Walters. She makes it very clear what she expects afrom you and the workload is not too heavy. I have taken 4 courses with her and always learn a lot.

LOVE this professor! 4th class ive taken with her and I have gotten an A everytime. Online postings, papers, postings but everything is managable. Some reading is required. keep up. responds VERY quickly to emails and online discussion boards. i would highly recommend! I'm taking another class with her in the spring.

Awesome professor! Responds within 24 hours unless she's away. Very helpful! Have met with her several times and is always helpful and understanding. Essays take time to grade because she reads them over twice before grading. Have taken 8 classes with her. Would DEFINITELY recommend to any history major! Especially History of the Future (EUH

She is really nice. Took her online. There are a couple discussion postings, 2-3 small papers and quizs(every 1-2 weeks). Its not had as long as you keep up. I got an A and I am pretty lazy.

She's great teacher. Discussions aren't bad and quite interesting. Must do the readings to pass the quizzes which aren't hard. A few 4-5 page papers. Took online and if you keep up with it, turn things in, and put some effort into the work not a bad class. Taking her again!

I love Dr. Walters. She is one of the best professors I have had at UCF in my four years. She is helpful, her modules online are interesting and relevant and she is very clear on what she wants in assignments. I will take every class I possibly can with her.

I've taken Professor Walters for 3 different online courses and all of them have been great. She makes the information interesting to read and the quizzes/papers are always relevant to the content. Very easy to get in contact with. Would highly recommend.

Fun course, yes, grammatical errors, but great info. Do wish she had given feedback on the papers and graded the tests sooner than she did, but she's fair. 2 books to read were big but full of neat details. U.S. Space History= great course

I took US HISTORY: 1939-1960 online. The content is easy to understand. Each week you read through the module and complete the corresponding assignment. If you read, you will get 100s on the quizzes. Reading is very short, concise, to the point. A few papers, also short and easy if you put in the work. Will take her again.

Wonderful class. Modules to read every week, sometimes with quizzes. Very simple if u read. 3 books, not textbooks, novels. Very interesting. A paper is assigned after each book, but again, easy to do if u read. Loved this course. Would take her for every class if i could!

This is the third class I have taken with Dr. Walters. Bit of a tough grader on papers/projects but fair and what she corrects on helps improve your writing. Her lectures and canvas page are very organized & easy to follow, and she is great at explaining exactly how she wants something done. She also responds in a timely manner & is very helpful.

Dr. Walters is a great professor! Very organized and clear with her instructions on assignments, letting you know exactly what she expects from you. I have only had her for online classes and would highly recommend her. There are a few writing assignments, but nothing too intense. Read the books and sign in to webcourses often. Somewhat easy A.

Professor Walters was very clear what she expected of you in the class. We had few grades (mostly quizzes). The papers and posting assignments were very, very easy. She gave good feedback. The quizzes are short, but have a short time limit.

A lot of reading in this class. One major research paper. This class took up most of my time. If you try, you will get an A. Modules were riddled with spelling errors, but were informative. 2/3 novels were good reads. Quizzes are easy.

I love this professor as she's laid back and flexible with her workload. Two 1,000-1,500 word essays and final exam involves two brief essays on the textbooks. One quiz per week and no discussions. Her lectures consist of a few pages to read in module and quizzes are based on them. I love her informal approach to teaching and her feedback is great!

She has been my favorite prof so far. Easy work, sometimes only every 2 weeks has something due. 2 of the textbooks are HUGE, but read as much as you can. She grades fair, very prompt. Very organized you know exactly what to expect. Her modules are hilarious, very down to earth. I have nothing negative to say about her class, I received an A.

If history is your thing, Dr. Walters will be a gem! I hope to take all her courses by graduation. If you work better independently, her online courses are laid out perfectly. No surprises. Read the books, write the papers, watch the movies, and embrace the experience. I also enjoy her personally-written modules for insight outside of a textbook.

Weekly quizzes based on modules, two 'big' essays, two small writing assignments based on textbooks, and a final exam. No weekly discussions. She's humorous in her modules and responds quickly to emails. She's happy to give outside career advice and I've already taken her classes multiple times. She's the ideal professor!

2nd course with Dr. Walters- can't wait for more. Weekly quiz w/ limited time based on her personally written modules (way better than textbooks, but read them). 2 papers no more than 1700+/- words. Final exam under similar circumstances. Interesting books, try to read what you can & you will be fine. 2 short book-related posts. Laid out VERY well.

Course was pretty short and straight forward. Mainly it's just a bunch of short quizzes on American space related stuff. Couple papers due but they weren't that hard about 1,000 words each. Hardest part is the big oral history project. Overall easy course and decently interesting if you have any fascination in space take this course its an easy A.

I took Dr. Walter's AMH4644 for fall and I was generally really happy with the course. She is understanding and will work with you. I dealt with a death in the family during my time with this class and Dr. Walter's worked me and showed she cared for her students. 10/10 and would take a class with her again in a heart beat.

Dr. Walters is a good instructor. This is the second class I have taken with her and I liked both of them. She only has a few assignments to do for this class but she isn't that hard of a grader. She is very helpful and caring to her students. The only thing I have noticed is that she doesn't post what you made on your final.

There are 2 major papers (not long), final writing assignment, quizzes once a week, and reading the modules is easy. You learn a lot from her about writing, analyzing, and supporting your thesis. It helped me a lot, even though I'm a biomed major, and I enjoyed the class despite the stress. It was difficult but worthwhile for an A after hard work.
