I took her speech class in the summer and I thought she was great. The material for the chapters was kinda hard because I really didn't study But I still got an "A" My advice is to read every chapter and take notes on the questions in the end. She even tells you this. Overall Great teacher kinda expects to much from people that are shy though.

This is the best teacher I have had at PBCC. She is fun and so very good at what she does: TEACHES!! The speech's you have to do are very planned out. Its so hard to get a bad grade. If you are shy, this class is going to plain suck for you.

The best teacher I've had! Not only does she know how to teach about speeches, she also gives great speeches herself. She is extremely helpful and supportive. All of us in the classroom became like one family because of her. She also uses a lot of exercises which are very helful for tactile people like me and they add to the fun of the class.

She is perky, but that's a quality that no other teacher has. This class is seriously not-hard. Ok, it may be for people that are shy. But for people like me, the speeches are the best part of class. The tests are challenging, but nothing a good study night session won't cure. Get the book.

Absolutely an amazing professor. If you have to take speech, leadership or any other communication class that she teaches, you had better take it with her. She's so energetic and you can tell she loves what she does. I would say she has been the best professor I have ever had. Truly one of a kind.

she's really perky. we only had to do two big speeches and she graded pretty easily. the tests weren't bad because she has you do an online review for extra credit and she takes some of the questions from the online ones.

I took her for fundamentals of speech.. shes cool shes not that critical when she grades your speeches.. i wont ruin her secret but she gets you comfortable speaking in front of the class on like the first or second day..you only do like 3 speeches.. you can use youtube in your speeeches lol.. i would recommend her shes pretty nice..

Amazing teacher! She has so much energy, knows what she's doing, breaks things down easily and very understanding when things take a turn for the worse in life and you have to miss a class. There are 2 major speeches and 2 small speeches. If you're looking to do well in a class, have some fun and improve along the way- this is the teacher for you!

She's easy going does not give much homework. I took her in the summer and we had 2 major speeches. Be careful with the time because she will take a whole letter grade off your paper if you go over w/time. Hard grader she deducts too many points from your work and speeches. But overall nice and approchable teacher.

Amazing professor, very friendly and her class is a lot of fun. You do have projects and homework that you have to do but they arent too bad as long as you pay attention in class, because her lectures are very spot on, so if you pay attention you wont need to study too much.

I was really nervous about taking this class because I hate speaking in front of people but Mrs. Crane made the class so much fun. She really wants her students to do great and she'll do anything to help them. I had so much fun in her class I'm actually considering speech for my minor.

She is definitely kind of weird! but overall an awesome professor! She makes the material interesting and you will definitely learn something! As for the textbook it's a waste of money. You use it for the first few weeks. Better of taking the class w/a friend, renting the book & splitting the cost! DEFINITELY AN EASY "A"!

I loved attending Lori's class. She is one of those professors you just love talking to an attending class. The class is itself is easy. You have 2 tests, the first one is a bit difficult and the second is simple. I got a 90 and 103 on both of them without studying. Two real speeches which were cake. Lori is just awesome! One of the best classes!

She is a fun professor, willing to help, dont buy a book only going to use it for 2 weeks. First quiz is kinda of hard after that everything is easy got an A in the class.

Loved her class! If your phone goes off, you have to buy donuts for class, which is an awesome policy. Don't buy the textbook, you use it twice. No tests or quizzes; give three major speeches, one you work with a group. Don't go over time limit. No final instead you give and recieve awards. Easy A. Awesome teacher.

Prof crane-THEE BEST not close or near but IS. Helpful, self explanatory syllabus, caring, crystal clear on what is expected. 2 test.both are easy if you study. She has the best personality and great voice to hear at 8am lol . Definitely drinks a lot of coffee. phone= donuts 4 the entire class

Honestly my favorite class taken at PBSC so far! Lori makes it a point for everyone to know eachother, and creates such a welcoming environment that makes the speeches easy to give. Allowed 4 free skip days, 2 tests but grades mainly from speeches and NO final! Must take this for speech, and I would definately take another one of her classes!

If you need to take a speech class then I would definitely recommend her.

She is awesome! Great personality. She shows a lot energy which is contagious. I had a lot of fun. Do follow her guidelines though, she is strict to her policy. At the beginning of the semester no one talked to each other, but after the simple exercises she got us to do in class, we all became good friends. At least half of our class has dropped but I've got great grades! 2 speeches, 2 tests. It's awesome. I love this class, just don't use your cell phone, or else you'll be buying doughnuts for the class!

This class I thought was unnecessarily hard,I mean come on its just speech! Prof. Crane takes her course way too seriously. You can't be late at ALL, and her tests are very hard. I got a C on my first one You MUST buy a text book for her class. But overall the class was good. you just have to work hard. I was not expecting that from a speech class.

Super easy class. Just show up, homework is cake just make sure you do it because it can impact your grade. Obviously be prepared for speeches. She's super nice and encouraging, but be aware on speech days the doors are locked so manage your time! Also, no phones! She'll keep you informed about everything, actually looked forward to this class.

Lori Crane is hands down the best professor at PBSC. She cares and is hilarious. I was so nervous for speech and saved it for my last semester, but her class is a breeze. If your phone goes off, you either write a 3 page paper, or bring in donuts for everyone. Tests are tough, but if you read textbook and look over powerpoint you'll be fine.

Fun class. My second time taking a speech class and she was 10 times better than my last professor.

Prof. Crane was a great speech teacher. I am a complete introvert and she was very patient and kind with the introverts in the class. We did 2 big speeches and the last day we did a improv speech. There is ALOT of group work and partner activities. We had two very easy tests and overall she was patient and kind but your excuses dont get past her.

10/10 professor. This class is super easy and takes little to no effort to get an A. Just make sure you show up! The tests are written response but are very easy. She even lets you use a cheat sheet for each test. There is a lot of group work but it is always fun. Very laid back and simple class. I would definitely take her again!

Lori is the best professor I have ever had! Her class is super easy, and anyone who says it isn't is just not showing up. Her class is actually fun and we do a lot of activities in groups. There are 3-4 speeches in total and only 2 super easy tests. She even lets you use a notecard when you take her tests. Would recommend this class to everyone!

We had an oral presentation and to help up we did an escape room based around a paper and was really cool and to leave we had to tell her something that we learned that will help us with our oral presentation. super easy class, if you're hungry bring food. Professor Lori is by far the nicest teacher I have encountered in the Lake Worth campus. Her class should not be taken for granted and attendance is a must!! You must really like public speaking in order to take this class because there are around 5 speeches in total and you have to get creative with them. My overall experience with her was a 10/10

There are two major speeches (informative and persuasive) and sometimes group work. Very easy and gives great feedback. She is willing to help you out. The quizzes are online and are really easy. My public speaking skills have tremendously increased thanks to this class. HIGHLY recommend.

The book wasnt mandatory but you need the access code for the online hw , you have 2 important speeches and small assignments in between. Don't take your phone out or you will have to buy everyone doughnuts. I recommend this professor to anyone im a slacker and i did good in her class

I suggest you guys take her she is the professor would you want for speech and she'll answer any question and help you throughout the semester.

The class was not difficult and I feel like I did learn something. She will help you if you need it and is easy to contact. However, she is not very forgiving, If you are even a minute late you are penalized and she does not care about your personal life. This does not mean she is unkind, just do not expect any sympathy.

I learned something from this class, interesting lectures, respectful, not very difficult. However, I do feel like she puts on a mask of being very kind but in reality, could care less about your personal difficulties, she does not leave any room for students who are having a hard time. I felt bad for my classmates who were struggling.

Best communications teacher out there. If you want to have a blast while learning, Lori is the best choice. So nice and caring for her students, its clear she wants everyone to pass. If you're having trouble (equipment-wise or curriculum-wise), she will take the time to help after class. The class is all about talking, so it's always fun!

This is the best class someone could every take, Im a procrastinator and a visual learner she goes into well details explaining and describing instructions on all work and assignments. She reminds you of any upcoming work (with remind and on our mandatory zoom meeting).Theses only 1 speech and she basically does it with you. YOU WONT FAIL .

Lori is a great professor. She really tries to make class as entertaining and learner friendly as possible. She is always willing to give feedback and is very responsive to texts/emails. She can be a tough grader at some points so my best advice is to follow the rubric and outline examples she gives.

She is a very entertaining professor and she caters to many different learning styles. She is always positive and always willing to help. The first speech she guides you through it step by step then the last two speeches she lets go but she will still help if you need it. Overall 10/10 experience This was my favorite class this semester.

Great professor if you comply with all assignments and projects and follow everything she says. She has a tendency to be a little passive-aggressive when her feathers have been ruffled and will always ask that phones are away. Just follow everything she says to do and you will be golden

This is professor is so sweet. She accepts late work (with penalties ofc) and all her assignments are straight forward. She is strict when it comes to tardies and being on phones but the class is so fun and engaging that this shouldn't even matter.

If public speaking is not your thing, but you must take the class, take it with Professor Crane! She's a fantastic professor who cares about her students; she helped me with an issue I had during the semester. Attendance is mandatory, and I think she only accepts work on time. The biggest assignment was a speech.

By far the most fun class I've taken yet, Lori is an amazing professor and I will never regret taking her course. Attendance is very important but if you show up every day and put in the effort to do assignments, I guarantee you will have an A!
