I LOVED his class. I had it at 8am but I still had the desire to go. He makes everything exciting and fun. His tests are not bad but you need to make note of everything he says. Always passionate and makes biology more that just facts. Take this class!!!

VERY easy course, he's definately a tree hugger but still really cool! I had his class at 8am and I still went, b/c he makes the class fun and the information is actually interesting!!

I loved this class! Dr. Wolfe is awesome! I had the class at 8 am and never missed a day b/c his class was so interesting. I never have learned so much common day information in any class before! Take this class you won't regret it!!

If you don't want to go to class, don't take him. His tests are heavily weighed towards attendance. If you don't show up, you'll miss something he did in class, and miss some questions on the test. He's very entertaining and funny, and keeps you interested by making jokes!

I enjoyed this class. He is DEFINETLY a tree hugger, but that is understandable comming from an enviornmental bio class. His lectures were really enjoyable, and his tests came straight from the lectures (I never had to read the textbook) so attendance is important, but it is not hard to go to this class, because it is actually fun

He is an amazing teacher! I had absolutely no interest in our enviornment or science before the class, and just by sitting in the class, i learned so much! His tests come DIRECTLY from class notes- so you have to go to class, but he keeps class intersting... take him- he's great- just ignore his little liberal comments.

Wolfe is awesome! He's hilarious! Attendance is paramount. Don't buy the book. Homework isn't mandatory - it's extra credit (make sure you do it). You MUST study for tests (3 total). Make sure you write not just what's on the powerpoint, but the stuff he says in between. Take notes even if you play a game or watch a movie.

He is the best teacher at Georgia Southern! I have the 8:00AM class and I am happy to wake up and go to his class. Dont listen to people who say hes a treehugger. He simply states the facts that are going on in our environment and makes a very valid point, hes always willing to help, write the stuff he says in between and study your notes!!!!!

Mr. Wolfe is an awesome teacher!His test are straight from the notes DON'T BUY THE BOOK! His tests will be a little hard if you didn't go to class before the test or get the notes you missed.Always take notes when he shows videos or anything. Its not mandatory to go but you get extra credit opportunite a lot. TAKE HIM

Dr. Wolfe is awesome! It was easy being on time for his 8:00 class, even when driving from an hour away. Attendence is not mandatory, but highly suggested. He gives lots of points for being there. Write down pretty much everything he says or shows(pics, videos, etc.)tests are easy! Know everything he says, tho! u never know what random ? he'll asK!

If you go through Georgia Southern University and take enviornmental biology for your CORE, you will be missing out on one of the best things about GSU if you don't have Dr. Wolfe's class. Go to class (he's interesting so it isn't bad) and you'll be fine. Even though he doesn't mandate attendance, it is HIGHLY recommended - you can get at least a B

Not your typical bio class by far.Very passionate about the envionernment, would highly reccomed. He makes you want to attend class!!! I had him at 8am and was wide wake very class because he makes it so interseting.

TAKE HIM! His class is very easy if you attend. His tests are largely based on things you would only know if you went to the lecture. Dont bother buying book..his tests are straight from his powerpoints. Makes the class fun and easy..he loves environmental biology and it really shows. Loved the class- if you go you will get an A

Most fun I've had in any class ever! The tests are impossible to fail if you come to class. We got done two weeks early and watched slide shows of his travels the rest of the time. He's in love with Bruce Springsteen.

My new favorite teacher!!! probably the best at GSU...the material is interesting and he is hilarious. After taking this class, i have learned to appreciate Bruce Springsteen and i recycle more! Thanks Wolfe for a great semester!!

Great teacher. Will never find anyone who loves springstein and the earth more. really makes class fun though and you learn alot. i really have recycled alot more after taking this class. All test comes directly from notes no book.

how do they call this biology? did we learn biology? not really. we learned about oil, how the earth is ending, and bruce springsteen. BUT it was an easy class, and at sometimes it was enjoyable. tests are straight from notes, so you need to go to class. if you are willing to sit through his tree hugging lectures, i recommend him!

I took Dr. Wolfe's class about a year ago and he was by far one of the best profs at GSU. Take and study the notes and don't bother to buy the book. Although attendance is not required, go as often as you can since the notes are crucial to the tests. I would not hesitate to take any other class offered by Dr. Wolfe.

Wonderful class! hated biology before his class, he makes it fun and relates things to real life. Extra credit for going to class, if you go and take the notes the test are not hard at all.

I took Dr. Wolfe for Evolution and Ecology in the Spring of 2009. I only signed up for this class because I needed it to fulfill my evolution category for my Biology Major. After being in this class I became very interested. This is an easy class but you also learn a lot. His tests reflects everything in his notes 100%.

easy A. pay attention to what he says. call is not mandatory but i would go because a lot of what he say in class is on the test. lots of extra credit points

I took his FYE on Springsteen, and there was more work than I thought, but he's amped to be there and he is pretty cool overall. Take the class.

One of the best teachers at GSU. Think Stanley Tucci meets Mr. Wizard. He's hilarious and forthright in his approach to teaching. Take him. You won't regret it.

LOVED HIM!!! Such an easy class. Super interesting lectures. Sometimes he's even a little funny.

He is a GREAT teacher i highly recommend him over ANY other Environmental Biology teacher. Go to class because there will be at least 7 questions on the test about videos, pictures, or even....Bruce !! Im giving him a chili pepper because he's been begging for one ALL semester. lol.

Fun class, took it at 8 am and only missed one class, due to a killer hangover, otherwise i would have gone. has a lot of jokes and funny slides. He blames the Bush administration for every problem in america. gets really annoying, and im pretty sure givin the opportunity, Wolfe would felash obama, as well as Springseen. take the class, very easy.

Cool/fun class and cool teacher. Done a lot of traveling and talks about it a lot which is pretty interesting. Gives random extra credit points for turning in a piece of paper to a random question which added up to 17 points this semester which makes a huge difference since there are only 3 tests. I would definitely take him again

LOVED Dr. Wolfe's class. His lectures are engaging and easy to understand. I learned so much from his class! He travels a lot and is really into music. In response to someone else, he made fun of Dems just as much as Reps. Don't get your panties in a bunch. Grades consist of 3 tests and extra credit for attendance. He encourages discussion!

Great teacher! Hated having him for 8am though and it definately hurt my grade but he is still a great teacher and a good guy. I highly reccomend taking him for Environmental Bio and potentially other classes.

Took the class at 8 AM. Had trouble waking up for it, but did fine for hardly ever going. His lectures are interesting, and the tests come straight from the notes you take. Just be sure to write down everything he says. He obviously is happy with himself because half of his lectures are all about him. Puts questions about himself on the tests.

he is liberal but the absolute best teacher i have ever had. i learned so much from him that i never would have learned from anyone else. a great teacher and makes 8am classes fun. attendance not mandatory but you get bonus for super easy quizzes. shares personal travel experiences to tie lessons with real world stuff.

Best class ever. Wolfe teaches an FYE class on Bruce Springsteen and even if you dont like "the Boss", you'd like this class. Lots of music videos and discussion of his work. Enjoyed it so much, Im TA-ing for this class next semester.

The test isnt really like the notes. Its more what he says so you have to go to class. Very interesting it was an 8 am class and I never went to sleep once.

This class was really easy, fun, and entertaining. All you have to dois just show up for the classes and pay attention, the tests are all based off of what he says. While the test questions are really easy, if you don't go to class you aren't going to do well.

This was a great class!We did not use the book at all, tests came from his lectures. 50 questions multiple choice. Attendance is not mandatory, however there are random questions on the test about stories he tells in class, like where his wife bought a $10 coke from. He is engaging and passionate about the information, and delivers it well.

Class was amazing! He really cares about the earth and really encourages students to try and make a difference. One of my favorite teachers at Georgia Southern.

You owe it to yourself to take Dr. Wolfe. He definitely deserves his Professor of the Year award for 2010. The only grades are 3 tests (with bonus for going to class). You'll want to go to class because it's awesome, he's funny, you get extra credit often and he takes questions from events that happen in class.

Dr. Wolfe is very deserving of his POTY award. Coming from someone who hates science, the man can teach. Only 3 tests and they are easy if you study. Keeps class engaging by being so witty and different. Take him, he'll have you appreciate the environment more!

BEST. PROF. EVER! I have hated science my entire life, but after taking this class it is actually interesting! Dr. Wolfe clearly loves what he does and is EXCELLENT at it!!! I truly wish all teachers were like him!!

The best teacher ever. Not even a question if you should take him or not, even if its at 8am roll out of bed hungover and go. This guy changed my lfe. I honestly have never had someone who I have never actually met personally, impact my life so much. He is by far the best and most caring professor out there. He defines how a good professor teaches. And for those who had this class before and I know Dr. Wolfe will read this.....DASWASSUP!!!!!!!!!!!! (ha)

I would absolutly recommend this prof. It was an 8am class but the energy level was great. The class in interesting and it changed the way I looked at the environment. Go to class pay attention and you should make an A. Very easy if you do not miss class. Dr. Wolfe is an amazing teacher. My favorite class so far.

Great Teacher. I took 8AM class just for his previous ratings, and I am thankful for it. Almost a full letter grade of bonus just for showing up to class, and good portion of the tests are just things talked about during lecture (whether on topic or not). Don't need the book. He makes Environmental Bio worth your time.

DR.Wolfe is AMAZING i said i would NEVER take an 8AM but i looked at his ratings and decided i should sacrifice and i wouldnt regret it..he gives a lot of extra credit points for coming to class . he explains EVERYTHING well you wont need the book . no quizzes..textbook is NOT needed.i'll miss this class. A MUST TAKE !!!

By far THE best PROFESSOR i've had. His class is worth taking an 8 am. He loves what he is doing, and is willing to help you no matter what. He wants all his students to learn the material and enjoy learning it. Only 3 tests, and make sure you go to class because you get points added to your tests grades!

Dr. Wolfe is a great teacher who really stresses the important parts of protecting the environment. It's not really a bunch of useless facts, but more-so stuff that actually pertains to your own life. His tests are also really easy if you go to class and study.

Worth every second of an 8 am! The BEST teacher thus far at GSU...probably why he won Professor of the Year! Made info in his class worth learning, probably the only class I've taken information away from. If you don't take him... YOU WILL REGRET!

Crazy fun guy, worth the 8am. Go to class to get the extra credit points, they add up and boost your grade big time in the end. Study the notes and listen in class and you will do fine on the exams, they are not tricky questions but they do test whether or not you attended class, he'll ask things you'd only know if you were there. Book unnecessary.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!! Even though it was a 8am class, it was totally worth it! His tests are easy as long as you come to class & take notes. He is extremely laid back & a very entertaining lecturer. He keeps the class fun & is very interactive with the students. I am & will always be a proud member of the 2011 Spring Wolfpack! :)

Dr. Wolfe is a great teacher. He made an 8 am class fun and entertaining. He loves making jokes and can have a class of 250 students laughing. He is really helpful and straight forward about the questions on his test. Take him!!! Wolf cub spring 2011 :)

He is the best teacher I have ever had a Georgia Southern. His class is very interesting and prepares you for real world not just the college class. He is extremely personable and sincerely cares about his students. Take him if you are ever given the opportunity to, you will not regret it!

Dr. Wolfe is a very cool person. If you have the chance to take his Bruce Springsteen FYE class, TAKE IT! The class isn't very hard, only a few easy homework activities, and 1 major paper with a presentation. He is very passionate and entertaining. The thing that I liked about him most is that he tries to get on a personal level the whole class.

I can't begin to describe the coolness and raw awesomeness of this man. Bottom line, take anything he teaches even if it is a course on watching paint dry.

In a large class it is hard to form a relationship with your teacher, but in the wolfepack, our Alpha loves all his pups! He is passionate about the subject, and makes every class interesting, no matter the topic! He is the best teacher I have had, I hope to get the chance to study under him again. Dont sign up and not go, it is a waste of his time

He's a pretty good teacher when it comes to evolution and ecology. His tests were directly from his notes. The only grades in the class were three tests so you have little room to mess up. He does give "stuff" points but they hardly do anything for you. Just give him something Springsteen has touched and you're sure to get an A.

Great professor. Three test, all of which are multible choice. No attendence policy but you get "clicker points" for attending which is equal to an assignment grade and also some random test questions on what happened in class. Random assignments but nothing difficult or takes more then 5 minutes. I usually hate liberals but he was pretty cool.

i would purposely fail the class just so i could take his class again. best teacher at southern. makes it seem real world. always enjoy coming to class. funniest teacher, definitely wants springsteens body.

The class is interesting, but be prepared to have your GPA suffer in result. Test questions are confusing and at least 15 irrelevant. Example: "Whose birthday is it today?" or "Where was I on July 4th?" Really? Who is going to know that? I missed mainly those. This is coming from someone who went to class EVERYDAY and has a 3.6 GPA. So good luck.

Dr. Wolfe is a great biology professor, even at 8:00 AM. This is a class I actually enjoyed attending, and I'm a history major! Class is entertaining, and he has impeccable tastes in music. Though he claims he has nothing against religion, this is clearly not true, as he spends a lot of time bashing religion and students who defend their religion.
