Best math teacher I've had yet. Very thorough and she writes EVERYTHING on the board to make it easy to take notes and understand. She doesn't put "tricky" questions on tests and genuinely wants students to do well.
She was so easy and helpful for anything. I recommend her to anyone who wants to make a good grade and learn if they go to class.
writes WAY too much on the board. very hard to stay awake.
She writes everything you need to know on the board. She's helpful and you are guaranteed to make a good grade if you come to class, take notes, and at least try to pay attention. Homework is also a really big help. She's great
Mrs. Braselton is kind of goofy but very clear on material. She writes all you need to know on the board and as long as you do your hw and come to class you will be able to do well.
I suck at math but somehow I made an A in this class. She writes EVERYTHING out which is good for those of us who aren't good at math!!
OMG...one of the most boring prof. I've ever had!! She writes everything on the board, so it's fairly easy. Just go to class and try to stay awake; you should do fine. Did I mention that she was boring? Well she is...EXTREMELY. She doesn't take up homework, its all on webct and you must do it to pass. It's just one assessment every week.
This teacher's study guide does not go with the test. Her class has so much homework every night, that it takes you about three hours to complete it.
She is really boring..the studyguides don't help and if you ask her a question she gets offended and snaps at you. Wouldn't reccomend her unless your really good at math.
RECOMMEND HER TO ALL
Worst algebra teacher I've ever had... She is soo boring and monotonous. She is also very arrogant (ie this is a low level math course and shes to good for it). About 3 hours of homework for each class, oh and if you have any questions your s.o.l. because everything is an "easy" question that she skims right over.
Her first test wasn't too bad, but the rest after that are IMPOSSIBLE. She gives ridiculous amounts of homework and randomly takes up one problem most classes for a hmwk grade. She also gives weekly web hmwk that are mandatory on top of that. The way she teaches is so confusing and monotonous that you'll either form a migrane or fall asleep.
This woman is horrid. I am an "A" student and when I began to struggle in the class and went to her office, she said she didn't "have time to help someone like me." All things about the exams and homework are true- the exams are NOTHING like the "review" that she hands out. I would HIGHLY advise against taking this woman.
Worst teacher ever! Talks down to student; thinks that she is better than an 1111 class. Rude when you ask a question. Gives 2 hours of homework a night. Tests have absolutely nothing to do with the study guides--simple questions on the study guides; impossibly difficult questions on the test. Don't take her unless you don't need to be taught!
Mrs. Brasleton is boring for starters...however, if you want an A in math i would recommend that you take her. she is extremely easy because she writes everything done on the board. She issue homeworks in the book, but its not essensial, you dont have to take it to pass the class...she also gives study guides that is exactly similar to her tests. s
This woman is one of, IF NOT the BEST MATH TEACHER at GSU. For starters, if you like math, this class will be a piece of cake. For the haters, you can still pass the class, just attend class, and pay attention. I will admit, she'll get boring at time, BUT if you want that A to show to mom and dad, Mrs. Braselton is the teacher for you!! Good Luck!!!
She was a great math teacher, if you just don't care and refuse to do anything then you deserve the lower grade.
Professor Braselton is a great professor, she is very clear on notes and always helps students during office hours, she if one of the few professors that gives a straight forward study guide to the tests and final, if you do you homework this class is a breeze
Excellent professor. I'd recommend the hybrid class to anyome, it is much easier and more self explanatory. She is very clear on notes. Do HW & quizzes and review HW & quizzes for test & you'll be fine. Not an 'easy' A, but an A is very realistic with a good effort for students even average at best in Algebra.
She is a WONDERFUL teacher! She writes everything she says on the board which prevents you from ever being confused. I havent taken a math class is so long and I go a 93, 95, 97 on my tests! And a 89 homework ave. She is a great teacher and I have recommened her to everyone I know that had to take CALC!!! She is also extremely organized! 2 Thumbs U
Boring. Gives a short mandatory weekly homework that she will help you with. If you attend class regularly and do 80% of the homework she will replace your lowest test with your final. Gives study guides and extremely detailed notes.
She doesn't come off as the nicest person in the world, but she really is a great teacher, and is very helpful. I understood everything she taught.
She writes everything out and gives alot of grades so it's easy to keep your grade up. She offers alot of help during her office hours and will check your homework due for a grade before you turn it in. If you miss less than two days she replaces your lowest test score you don't want to miss any days its alot of material.
Prof Braselton is great....I didnt do great in the class cus i'm lazy, but she really was clear, provided notes, and was available to help all the time... If you've had a hard time in math before, she will help you through it!
EASY EASY teacher! definitely eay to make an A in her class. If you have a difficult time with math, TAKE HER! very clear and easy. Boring but helpful.
Mrs. Braselton was a great professor! She wrote extremely detailed notes that were very clear and she answered any questions you may have. She gives daily homework, but does not grade it. Do the daily homework EVERY day because it helps a ton for practice for the test! Calculus is hard, but if you are willing to work really hard, you will do fine.
TAKE HER! she makes math so easy if you're not a math person. i had her for hybrid so attendance was mandatory because we only met once a wk.grades were all on coursecompass..lots of hw so it will cushion your grade up.drops the 4 lowest quiz&hw scores.tests were mult choice! online at the lab.she's nice in person too.TAKE HER!
Great Professor! One of the few math professors that doesn't have a stupid accent. Very clear in her teaching. Take her if you don't like calculus!
Professor Braselton is really nice and a college algebra is not hard if you do all of the homework and quizzes. Do not slack off like me and get an 89.4. Work hard and it should be a pretty easy A.
I am not a math person at all, and I nearly came out with a 100 in this class. Prof. Braselton teaches to the test and teaches it very precisely and efficiently. She explains all needed materials very effectively. Do the homework, take all the quizzes, and go to class and you're almost guaranteed an A.
I like her.
She's not COMPLETELY horrible, but she has a serious attitude issue. She gets frustrated quickly when students ask questions. (She moves really fast through the material too.)I personally watched her tell another student to withdraw from her class because he was hopeless.
Dr. Braselton is very nice but moves quickly. If you apply yourself it's an EASY A!
Print out the notes and bring them to class. It's very easy especially if you're good at math. Everything's in my math lab. Easy class.
Took her for calc 2 and I would DEFINITELY recommend her. She is very easy to understand and gives plenty of examples. You have to go to class if you want to make an A but that's because we learn A LOT every single day. TAKE HER!
Love her ! She has note outlines that you print out and fill in in class. She provides practice quizzes and posts the test questions. TAKE THIS CLASS !
She was great.
She always seems mad about something and always rolls her eyes when you ask any questions. Her notes are very detailed and test and quizzes are doable. If you have a borderline grade dont expect for her to bump you up cause she wont.
Awesome teacher! Very clear and shows plenty of examples. Just don't talk in her class or leave early cause she may call you out. Attendance is mandatory but I enjoyed math so I didn't mind. Just do the homework and quizzes on MyMathLab ON TIME and you'll be fine. Got an A and would definitely recommend her.
She may have a bit of an attitude with people, especially if you are talking. She also rolls her eyes if you ask a question, but don't let it stop you from asking more. She really is a good teacher. Her notes are very detailed and posts them online. She also posts practice quizzes online. Do the homework on MyMathLab, easy 100 stuff. Take her.
Mrs. Braselton is probably one of the best Calculus teachers at GSU. She gives many examples and talks THROUGH the problem. She will buck if you ask a dumb question, such as one previously addressed, but that is the only con that comes to my mind. I took her for MATH1441 as well, and she has made calculus EASY! If you show effort she will reward it
Really helpful with the way she describes stuff. Made Calculus 2 a breeze.
Mrs. Braselton is a delight. I was so nervous this class would be my first C in anything. But her crystal clear teaching, mixed with the online homework made it so easy to comprehend. Walks you through every problem. Gives back quizzes/tests SUPER fast. Best Calculus teacher this campus has!
Mrs. Braselton is a strict teacher but you'll learn so much. She made math something I could understand. Go to class and pay attention, and visit her office hours if you need help.
She's awesome. She gives a lot of homework (My Math Lab), but if you do it all--you'll do great. I didn't do any additional studying outside of hmwk and I made a 93 on my final. She's great at teaching Calc2 and she makes sure you know it before a test. If you can, get this professor--will not regret it.
Professor Braselton is great if you already have an idea as to what you're doing in Algebra, which you will definitely need for her hybrid class. I like the fact that she is straight forward and that she has notes that you need to print off and bring to class, which she then covers in depth. Overall she makes it easy to understand math.
Mrs. Braselton is an Awesome professor. She tells you everything. She does not have an attitude problem. I dont know what that person was saying when she rated Mrs. Braselton. Honestly, you can get an A+ in this class, if you pay attention in class and do all the homework, and Practices Quizzes before quizzes and tests!! Take Her for both Calc1&2.
Prof. Braselton is great. All the homework is online, and she gives you plenty of time to get it done. DO IT ALL, AND GO TO CLASS and she'll drop your lowest 4 hw and some quizzes. You have to work, but it really can be an easy A. It was for me.
Prof. Braselton seems like very good teacher. Unfortunatley, I was not able to meet her with it being an online course but she communicated very well and the course was a breeze. Take her if you can, she is much better than other math profs I've had to deal with
Mrs. Braselton is an amazing teacher. She uploads everything online.
I've taken Calc before, but this was fairly difficult. Tests are hard. Homework assignments like CRAZY; sometimes multiple per week. Book is NOT required at all, but mymathlab ($75) is. No accent, but she just goes on and on about problems that don't matter sometimes. GRAPHING CALC ON TESTS. GOOD at explaining and giving help. Would recommend.
Lori is an amazing Calc I teacher! She can be boring to listen to at times but she explains things well enough to make up for it. Tests should be easy, she gives you the test directions prior to just without the problems on it. I even got 100s on a few things and have never had any calculus experience before. Definitely recommend!!
Great teacher. Test and quiz directions tell you exactly what you need to study, so there are no surprises. Read the test directions, do all the practice quizzes and tests before hand and you will ace every test on your way to an A.
This professor was fantastic! I have never taken any sort of Calculus class before and was a little worried but she explained everything so so clearly. She posts the notes from every class, the test directions, and the practice quizzes all online. You can tell she really wants you to succeed. I would LOVE to have her again!!
She is one of THE best math teachers I have ever had. She posts all of the notes, quizzes, and tests online. She gave the answer key to everything afterwards to help you study for the final. She clearly states what you need to know for any quiz / exam. VERY helpful. If you attend class, & actually learn, expect a B or higher in this class.
Mrs. Braselton was a wonderful professor. She does get a little impatient when she gets asked questions from students, but she is by far the easiest calculus professor that you could take. Dropped 2 quizzes and if you miss 3 or less classes your final exam grade can be copied over a previous test grade. Overall, she is a great teacher.
If you are not strong at math, her teaching style will be over your head and you will be confused. She does not break stuff down in a way that you can really understand. She doesn't give study guides she just says keep practicing problems. So, have fun practicing the millions of problems only to get a curve ball thrown at you on the test.
Her redeeming quality is her note taking. Her notes are very clear and usually easy to follow, which is good because she moves way to fast in class. By the time shes finished writing something down while explaining it, I'm still trying to write down the notes and my brain cant keep up. Luckily, I'm pretty good at following the notes later.
She teaches very fast; hard to take notes and learn the material at the same time b/c you have to write so quickly, so you have to go home and teach yourself. Some tests are okay, some are very challenging. If you want her to like you you should bring her white out tape. Her voice is monotone and makes it very easy to fall asleep.
Outside of quizzes and exams everything is online. Don't worry about taking notes just pay attention in class and concentrate. She posts all class notes online via MyMathLab. The way she teaches she could teach 100 students at a time. Don't be afraid to ask questions she will explain it if you need more detail.
Braselton was overall not a good professor. She sped through EVERYTHING she taught, which made her mess up almost every problem she did in class. Whenever anyone asked questions she'd first make you feel like a dumba$$ in front of the class and then she would proceed to answer your question at a speed to where you couldn't keep up. STAY AWAY!!!
Overall a solid prof. Calc 1 is hard no matter who you take, but I feel like she made it pretty bearable. Lots of MyMathLab, but again that's any calc class. Never touched a textbook, but you do have to purchase a MML subscription. Coming to class is very important as she moves fast. Taking her again for calc 2 this semester.
Dropped her right before the last drop day. Hated her teaching method because she would just stand in the front and write problems on a piece of paper under the projector. She hardly went into detail about what she was doing. And her grading scale was different. 92-100 A, 91-82 B, 81-72 C, And 71-60 D. Its already a hard class why make it worse
90% of your work is online and has a large impact on your grade, so if you think you wont be motivated to do online work this class is not for you. The tests are easy if you do the homework and quizzes. You don't have to pay any attention in the lectures as long as you do the work outside of class.
She never slows down during lecture to make sure you understand the material. She doesn't review for tests, just continues on with new material that isn't even on the test. Makes you feel stupid for asking questions and isn't a very approachable professor. Grades hard, test every week. Not a good professor AT ALL!!!! Lots of memorization.
Summer online precalculus class, LOTS of homework but good prep for tests. Homework and quizzes were more difficult than tests. Knock out the homework quick and daily, it will pile up quick! She was very responsive and helpful by email.
One of the best math teachers out there. I have never had a math brain, but she made calculus so simple and easy. I loved her! Very funny too once you get to know her. A lot of people would complain, but if you put in the work in the homework it shows. Lots of my math lab, but it helps out so take it seriously. Taking her for calc 2.
Terrible professor and she has no logic when grading tests. Would never take her again.
Very nice lady, and super understanding. Great lectures and makes sure everyone knows what theyre doing. Dont skip her zooms, theyre very useful. Kinda tone deaf sometimes, but maybe because shes a math teacher and most of them are. Would definitely take her again :)
Great prof! Im math brained and this semester we were able to work at our own pace. I saw prof once, the rest of the semester was spent on mymathlab. you can go back to raise your hw and quiz grades at any time. would take again
She is a great teacher. Clear to understand and doesn't mess around with stuff you don't need to learn. Fair grader on test and homework.
Professor Braselton is one of the best Calculus professors you can have. She moves quite fast during the lectures, however her notes are posted online and are very simple to follow along for those who lose focus easily. Tests make up 75% of your grade, however test questions are pulled directly from the homework! Only downside: LOTS of homework.
Fantastic professor. If you put in the effort she will see that and work with you even if you are not good at math. She gives out notes that you print off the computer so its easy to keep up. Would recommend
I LOVE her!! she is so understanding and wants you to succeed in the class. Her lectures are fast but if you ever need help she doesnt mind at all. Also make sure you show up! As long as she shes you put the effort in the class she will do her best to help you succeed!!
I honestly did not expect much from a professor for an online college algebra class. Fortunately, I was blown away by the amount Mrs. Brasselton genuinely cares about her online students. I learned much more than expected with her sense of humor incorporated into the course content. I am honestly sad I didn't decide to take her in person.
This professor is an amazing for calculus! Especially good if you want to completely learn how to do the problems. She does not allow calculators but the problems are made easy in the test. This class should be a good grade as long as you do the homework and review. Furthermore, she does lots of quizzes that are super easy! Do the practice tests!
She did all of her lectures by filling out the notes on the board very quickly by hand and it was easy to fall behind during the lecture. She seems like a nice person, but it was very hard to keep up with her in the notes and hard to read a lot of her handwriting. If you need to take algebra and struggle with math, she is not the professor to take.
Do not take her if math does not come easy to you. She is overall a good teacher, but she does not teach in a way that is very understandable and teaches very fast. If math is not your best skill do not take her.
Absolutely the worst teacher you could have. Doesn't care about her students, inconsiderate, and overall has very unrealistic standards for her students. I spent 9 hours on the study guide and failed her test. I literally had to withdrawal. DO NOT TAKE HER DONT
This is the worst professor I have ever had in my life. I have not encountered a teacher who cared less and put so little effort into her students. If you are thinking about taking this class, save yourself don't take her class.
This professor could not care less about her students. If you are someone who struggles with math DO NOT TAKE HER COURSE. I would try to ask questions and she would not care to answer I had to withdraw from her course.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH MATH!!! i thought i could get through it but she has such unrealistic standards for her students….she grades crazy insane…So much homework and it's incredibly hard to keep up in her class. she goes insanely fast and isn't helpful when you ask questions.
This professor is absolutely awful! I took her in person one semester and decided to withdrawal because she goes SO fast there is SO much homework and if you ask a question she makes you feel stupid. I then took it online and it is not much different at all. She used to say she is the reason people hate math. Which like shouldn't be said…
Great teacher and explains things well. She gives you guided notes that are really helpful. I will say she moves pretty fast during lecture especially if you're in the hybrid class, but if you go to class and pay attention you'll be fine. Do the homework and review on MyLab math.
