She is probably the best chemistry teacher, but she's not helpful in her office.
She really helped me through Pre Cal and was very accomidating and helpful!

Nice lady...impossible teacher!

Not clear, not helpful, not a good teacher.
Do not take this teacher..

Taking this class is suicide, and she is not much help. Very unclear. Talks in an intro course to everyone like they have an extensive background in the material.

This was a painful and agonizing class. I hated it with all of my being. She draws you in and makes you thing she is a nice person, but her tests show how incredibly cruel and sadistic she really is. Avoid class for own safety and well being.

this class sucks!
goes over the material WAY too fast and assigns too much work. Tests make me want to throw myself down a very long staircase.
Really easy class. She is extremely helpful Allows you to make up tests if you have a valid reason. In fact she stays on your back until you make up the test. The 2nd test will be the hardest of all.
Very hard class!!! If you have questions, go see her and not your drill TA (sometimes they teach things wrong then you'll make an F on the test). GO TO EVERY LECTURE!! Know EVERYTHING--READ YOUR BOOK!! Class Warm-ups are NOT like the test at all!!
By far the hardest class I've ever had. She's a helpful teacher, but tends to make the material harder than it should be. Don't take this class if you do not have the time to dedicate to it.
This teacher dilerately makes tests extremely difficult to fail her "bad" students. on a 1-on-1 basis she was vey rude to me. She makes it out to be that you are dumb and her teaching is superb.
She is a very difficult professor. At first it seems like the courses shouldnt be all that difficult, but after the first test or two you realize that you have to work your butt off to do well. if you are in the course, do the homework and go to class EVERYDAY! sit in the front, it helps!
Excellent Teacher
This class is somewhat difficult, however Dr. Brewer is a very helpful teacher. She encourages students to come to her office for extra help, she even gave the class her personal telephone number. Tests are difficult and somewhat confusing, however your grade will reflect your dedication to the clas
The class itself is hard to begin with but she will help you if you ask for it and is very availble for help. Go to class study and pray tests are very very hard.
Class is designed for medical students!!

She is a very pleasant person, but a proffessor of aa very difficult course. I cannot say that she is all f that difficult because dhe is very helpful, but the overall course is hard. She shows a lot of enthusiaism towards this subject, and that interests me in it more. :)
Dont listen to the people that either didnt do the homework, didnt go to class or studied for the tests at the last minute Dr. Brewer is an excellent teacher that is very helpful and clear with her explanations the class is hard but we came to this university not expecting a challenge
SHE IS SO NICE, BUT EXPECT THE CLASS TO BE HARD
No Comments
Tests are ridiculously hard, but classwork and attendance shemcks are pretty easy. This class is not that bad if you just go to class.
Moves to fast for most students. Pretends to care about her students.
Everyone who says her class is too hard probably didn't go to class or do the homework. I think she is a very capable teacher and if you put the effort in you should be able to get an A
Neither Chem 1 or 2 is too hard. You need to go to class and you need to do the homework though. She is pretty good about giving help if you need it.
She is a wonderful teacher who really cares about her students and works hard to help you understand the difficult material. However, it's important that you go to class!
She's a good teacher, but makes really hard tests.
Very happy ALL THE TIME. She is helpful. You must go to class. You must pay attention to everything. You Must have an indepth knowledge of chemistry. You need to be able to look at it and understand why things are. This class is hard but you will learn or you will Fail (literally).
She's a good teacher, but makes REALLY hard tests. You have to study a lot for a not-so-decent grade.
Not only do you have to go to class, but you HAVE to do the homework to understand what is going on. Her tests are outrageously hard, but doing the homework will make them more bareable. She does curve decently though. Go to her office and talk with her if your having problems.
nice lady, bad class, RUN!
She's nice and helpful, but the tests are significantly more challenging than the homework and lecture prepares you for.
I kept up with all homework, went to all but two classes, sat in the front row and understood every bit of the material. I am praying for a C in the class. Her tests are ridiculous and students aren't properly prepared for them. Grade in class does not reflect ability!!
Ms. Brewer... It must take a PhD to understand that your teaching sucks when you have to drop 2 questions from a test and give two more bonus questions just to have a class adv. 56%. BAD Teacher but dont worry the curve will let you pass.

It is not just the teacher, the WHOLE chemistry dept needs a MAJOR overhaul. Freshman level classes are horrible, worse than senior level science classes. WAKE UP UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS before you lose a lot of not just good, but excellent students!!!!!AVOID any chemistry class you can at UofA, go to NWACC...
She is a great teacher for Organic. She gives a ton of points in class, which really helps when test time rolls around. Her test are hard, but if you go to class you will be fine.
do not take ANY classes with her!!
Always willing to help- offers lots of practice work and wants to make the course as easy as possible.
This woman is the anti-christ! I had to come back to AR from VA over the summer to retake her stupid class because of 2 points on ONE of her insane tests. If you value your GPA then RUN, and FAST
Blaaaaaah
I dont know what the big deal is. Her lectures are straightforward. Her homework is exactly what she expects you to know. She moves slowly, and the tests are not bad at all. So...Dont trust rate my professor.com, it will only make you nervous when really this is not a hard class
No Comments
If you go to class and drill AND complete all of the homework. You will make at the very least a B. She's very gracious with her curve.

Dr. Brewer is great -- the other comments are from people who don't try. She teaches the material so well and always explains things as many times as needed. I would recommend waiting to take her for the course!!
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!
Sucks
By far, the most insane tests that I have ever seen. All of her tests are multiple choice, but each choice requires just as much consideration as the next. This means that a twenty question test ends up being more like a hundred question test. Additionally, drills are a joke.
She is the worst teacher that i have ever had. She says that she wants everyone to do well on her tests but then has math problems that aren't partial credit! Chem 1 and 2 are hard classes even if you enjoy Chemistry. I would recommend taking it during the summer or somewhere else. She is SUPER hard!
I believe if you try in her class and study the practice exams you will do well.

Had her for Chem II and Organic. ****She is one of the best professors I've ever had. Expects a lot out of her students but is very clear about what is expected so it is possiable to know what to study and what not to study.
ok, she is a nice teacher, and she is willing to help all she can, but this class sucks. i studied my butt off for all the tests and have not passed one yet! so if you dont have to take chemistry, dont!
She is very smart and has good teaching skills. However she covers way to much material in 50 minutes. She expects everyone to understand when she gives one example. I like how she takes attendance and how she gives projects for grades. This is a good way to help our grades.
She is very friendly and makes sure her students know she is avaliable if they need help. She covers a lot of material and quickly, but her bright and cheery attitude makes the class not as bad!
did not like her at all!!! very hard teacher. covers hard material way too fast to understand.
She is soo nice! She is always smiling and is extremely helpful. She makes it obvious that she is always available to help you! It is really important to go to class. She does lots of helpful examples, and she gives "projects" that will really hurt your grade if you miss them. Overall, the class really isn't hard.
Brewer is a great teacher and really cares about her students and their education. She makes every effort to make sure you are comfortable with the material. She is quite possibly one of the best teachers i have ever had.
She is a great teacher. She uses good examples and is always friendly and ready to help. However, you have to put an effort into the class. She covers alot of material and does it rather quickly. Her exams are hard but fun to do. It is a great class.
A true professional. Dr. Brewer would always take the time to explain any concept, no matter how trivial, if someone needed it. She is extremely skilled at breaking the material down into familiar concepts and although the tests can be hard, that is to be expected from the material. The test questions are easier than the homework.
GREAT TEACHER! Honestly she is one of the most caring people I have ever met! She does everything she can to ensure that students make good grades in the class! She will readily do anything she can to help students understand better! She cares more about her students than any teacher I have ever met! Take her if you can!
She is pretty helpful.
Enjoyed the classes. She's a good teacher. Her tests are hard, but if you do the homework and prepare for class then you will be fine.
A rare professor. I can't believe how much Brewer actually cares about her student's well being and success. She is a genuinely nice person and ALWAYS has a smile. Chemistry can be tough, but she makes everything better. Take her class if you need to take Chem.
If you do the homework and go to class, you'll get an A or B. She's a nice lady to wake up and go to class to even at 7:30AM.
This class sucks but she's not a bad teacher. Tests are hard but she tries to hlep you out whenever she can.
She is a good teacher! Take her class!
hard class and she does a decent job of helping you out. doesn't feel very approachable but maybe she is.
She is amazing!! Try to also take her as your drill instructor. If you don't understand something go to her office--she will help you, if you are willing to help yourself.
She's a very friendly person, and very straight-forward. She also understands that most people don't like chemistry or don't understand it or both and she teaches very slowly and clearly and answers all questions. Very Good Professor.
Great teacher, wonderful lady. Very pleasant, even at 7:30 in the morning. She is constantly sending helpful e-mails, full of encouragement and tips. She is extremely clear in class, and if you are having a hard time, she will work very hard with you outside of class until you understand whats going on.
Mrs. Brewer is a very good teacher, especially since I was in her 7:30 class. SHe goes over and beyond to try and help you! Take her!
Take her for Chem1 over Norman...my rooomate took norman and was so jealous! Brewer seriously goes above and beyond to help with emails and tons of tips. She is amazing!
Brewer is exceptionally nice, very enthusiastic, and makes a huge effort to make sure her students succeed. She's not easy, but she is accessable and loves to get to personally know her students (even though I was in a 400+ lecture).
She is amazing! I love her, she's so helpful, so encouraging. I have her for Chem 2 next semester and I can't wait! A huge weight has been taken off my shoulders knowing that she is my teacher.
I took UC I at 7:30 and it sucked to wake-up at that time. Other than that, she was always trying to cheer us on and help us understand things. Take a lot of good notes and make sure you do her homework because everything is out of those 2 elements. Her jokes sometimes got on my nerves but most of the time they went well.
Great teacher, she is always available for help. Gives a lot of extra credit. Tests come from the homework problems. She tells jokes.

Tests are too hard
don't do it
Though chemistry is not my favorite subject Brewer makes it interesting and does a very good job teaching it. Occasionally she tells some interesting jokes to keep you awake. Come to class, take good notes and pay attention and it isn't too hard. Plus if you're a bit in the hole she gives bonuses often to help you out. Overall very good.
She's a good teacher, but get your ass to class. Her tests ARE VERY HARD, but are similar to the projects. You can get the shaft if you don't keep up. Do the homework, it will really help.
Chem 2 is pretty difficult, but she gives you every opportunity to make an A. She gives a lot of extra credit and is always willing to help. She is a great teacher.
DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! I am an honor student in Chemistry and on her first test out of 25 I got 2 correct. Horrible teacher, elementary examples then ridiculous tests. WARNING!
If you take Chem take Mrs. Brewer. She is very good at teaching and gives a lot of bonus. So do well on her tests or just decent and you can get an A. TAKE HER!!!!!!1
Mrs. Brewer is awesome. Her class is tough, BUT she provides you with any and all tools you need to do well. She also gives a lot of bonus, puts a major curve on the final grade, and is willing to bump you up a percent for good attendance. She does a great job considering that she has over 600 students at any given time.
Must go to class and drill in order to pass. Her tests have about 50% of the questions from class/homework and about 50% from god knows where. I did the goals/readbook still could barely get a C or D on a test does have a large curve and lots of bonus. If at all possible take someone else. Save yourself the trouble to still make a C or D no matter
She is an awesome Chem teacher! Always gives you help, and provides you with her home number to further assist you. Even though the class size is intimdating, ask questions. Go to class because she will have random attendance points. Projects are done with 3 or more people, so get with your "smart" friends. Go to drills they are major points.
Dr. Brewer is a very good teacher. She is very friendly, and her teaching style is extremely organized, so she is very easy to follow. She generally explains things very well. She gave LOTS of bonus points, and all the projects are worked in groups. Tests are pretty straight-forward. I definitely recommend Dr. Brewer!
Tests are very hard. Not even a phD!
Mrs. Brewer's class is by far one of my favorites. she is so patient and will take time to explain anything you're having trouble with. Words of Wisdom- STUDY STUDY STUDY!! she's a great teacher but this class requires LOTS of out-of-class studying. good luck!
She's good.
She was a good teacher. If you attend SI regularly, do most of your homework, and all the projects the test should be fairly easy. Ask questions as you go along, dont wait to the last minutes. The practice test are almost identical to the real test.
very smart, but tests are really hard. study study study.
Get Norman if you can.
Projects will wreck your grade. Always write your own name on the paper and be prepared to look for missing grades. SI helps but it is too much for a 1000 level class
She is a great teacher. The only downfall would be that tests are very hard, and the SI is hard to fit in for a 1000 level class. She does give extra points, but I had an 87, and she wouldn't bump it up to an 88 (which is an A) I was there for ALL attendance checks and every project. During class she said she would bump up people on the border.
She is always so enthusiastic in class, and it makes you excited to be there too. She explains everything perfectly. If you just pay attention in class and do the homework, the class is pretty easy with Brewer as your instructor. Highly recommend her over anybody!!
impossible tests, she says she will bump you up if you are on the border in class but really doesn't. be sure to do the homework and goto class. take it somewhere else if you can
I'm not really sure how I got an A, but somehow I did. She replaces the lowest test grade and she needs to. Her tests are crap-tastically hard..my goodness. Her jokes would get quite a chuckle in a nursing home or Organic Chemists conference but not in a college class.
Good teacher but she comes off as extremely fake and because of that impersonal. She also crams way to much in the last few weeks of class. The tests are hard but she does give bonus go to class and DO THE HOMEWORK REPEATEDLY OR DIE!!!
Great teacher!!!! She explains concepts very well, but the class is hard. Study a lot, go to class, and go to SI and you will be fine.
great teacher, just go to class and do the homework, the final is super hard, but if you study the new material and the past tests you'll be fine
Lo is the best teacher ever! She really knows how to explain it!
she is super hard, but she knows what she is teaching. chem 2 is hard, and the final is super hard, but go to class and you will make an A. she will give random attendance checks that help you!
This class was very hard. SI instructors are a joke; they do not help at all. The tests were very difficult compared with the in-class problems that she would work. Attendance checks don't help your grade. This was the second year taking her where I was borderline, but was there for EVERY attendance check and she did nothing to help me out.
She's nice, but often the class is too fast-paced. Don't miss or you'll fall behind. The final is hard, and SI drill is a waste of time...it's mandatory, but doesn't help one bit.
Incredible teacher....Very hard but she is an excellent teacher and u get to know the material like no other....Wouldn't reccomend anyone else...Thumbs up
It's hard. Go to class and pay attention. She's the best chem prof at the U of A. SI does not help you learn the material, but the points do help so go. Make sure you're there for the projects and do the homework and practice tests. If you put in the effort you can get an A or B.
Do the homework and the reading for the class, and you will know the material pretty well. Make sure you are there for all of the projects, and go to si so you can get your points. You won't learn anything there, but you need those points. Really hard class, but she's the best chem teacher here.
VERY VERY HARD CLASS. Brewer is a sweet lady, but the tests are impossible. If you have to take chemistry though, pick her.
The class is extremely hard and she flys through her explanations of the examples and the examples she gives are much more elementary than the test questions. STUDY ALOT. DO NOT FALL BEHIND. GO TO SIeven. She makes stupid jokes and looks funny. She smiles all the time and has penciled on eyebrows. It's a bit distracting and scary but a nice lady.
She is a really nice lady. She wants to help you get an A. She just speed through everything. She expects you to already have a background in Chem. She says the last 2 tests are really easy. They're easier but don't be fooled, they're still hard. In the end she's the best available. STILL VERY VERY HARD...
She cares a lot about the student's success in the class. incredibly hard material, but she makes things very clear. what helped me get a good grade was studying EVERY day for about 45 min after class (doing the assigned hw). once again, genuine person who wants all her students to make a good grade. DONT GET BEHIND ON HOMEWORK!!
Really really bad teacher
Go to class, it helps sometimes especially when there is a project or some sort of pop quiz. The class is easy, but only if you have had some type of Chemistry before. If you have never taken chemistry before this class, take Chemistry in the modern world. Test are hard if you don't understand, but she is willing to work with you.
She is a VERY VERY sweet lady!! Not to mention an AmAziNg teacher... Its hard to teach anything when you have a class of 400 plus kids but she does an AWESOME job!! Take her Take her! She really genuinly cares about her students... DO NOT GET BEHIND ON HOMEWORK!! Yes, The tests are beastly hard, but if you study and do the homework you can do it
She's a great lady. Genuinely cares about every student in her class...all 300 of them. Definitely the best teacher I've had so far.
She's seriously a great professor. She made difficult content easy to understand and she was always willing to help. It's up to you what grade you get in the class. If you want an A it's entirely possible because she's so willing to help you get it.
Chemistry is hard. If you do not read, go to class, and spend hours doing homework, you will fail. Grades in Brewer's class reflect effort put forth. Tests are hard, but fair. I make high B's to high A's on her exams and still have a life. If you fail, it's because you didn't study, not because of her. She is the best!
Tried to cram way too much into the curriculum (including parts of organic chemistry). Test questions were unprecedented and very hard. Can't really prepare yourself for the test until you get the practice test. Great nice lady.. just way too ambitious for the goals she picks for chem II.
Had her for chem 1 & 2. AMAZING! Yes she is hard, yes you have to STUDY a lot but that's what makes her good. She teaches you then it's up to you to get the grade you deserve. She challenges you but gives chances to get extra points. Go to class for random projects. Always has her office door open. Loves all 300 students the same!
Dr. Brewer is a great professor and does a great job of explain chem 1 which is difficult. The tests and homework are really hard, but the extra credit/projects/grade replacements help out a ton. I would recommend her to anyone.
Mrs. Brewer is an amazing teacher. Although the material is very hard, she cares for each of her students and is extremely helpful. Her door is always open and she is always ready to help. The tests are hard, you must go to class and study!! Sometimes there are bonus opportunities so go to class, she explains material well! Best teacher.
Probably one of the best professors in the department -- lecture was reasonably interesting. Course content is pretty hard -- I preferred uni physics 1 and 2 to this. However, if you don't have much of a math background, this is probably the better choice. Take this your freshman/sophomore year when you're able to slave away at courses for the A
Does the best job of anyone in the department but chemistry is just a hard class. But if you have to take it definitely go with Brewer. Definitely.
Difficult class. Don't take the material lightly. Must review the chapters prior to class and work the review problems repeatedly in order to succeed.
Brewer is easily the best teacher I have had at the University. I had her for Chem I & 2 and Organic 2. She cares about her students and will do everything possible to help them understand chemistry. Very hard class, must do homework, keep up with notes, and attend class. VERY great teacher.
I had Dr. Brewer for chem2 and organic2, and she is the best teacher I've had! Chemistry can just be a challenging course. Brewer gives plenty of study materials, so you just have to find what works for you and study every day! she is very fair and has a generous curve, but don't confuse her niceness for easiness in the course!
Okay teacher. I probably would have liked and understood her class better had I liked chem. Best teacher out of the chem department for this class. I agree with the person who said to take her if you have to take chem.
She is very eager to help all of her students. Her teaching is pretty clear, and going to class helps me a lot. I'm very glad to have gotten Brewer for my chem professor.
She is super excited about Chemistry and has a permanent smile on her face. She is eager to help her students, but if you get behind in homework, you'll regret it.
Great teacher. was not hard at all but you do not want to miss any classes because you will get behind and its hard to get caught up.
Best Chemistry teacher on campus. Attendance is very important and she always wants to help her students understand the material. Class is still pretty tough even though she is a great teacher
The material itself gets to be difficult as the course goes on but Ms.Brewer is really helpful and offers advice on not geting too stressed out. If you make an effort, you will pass for sure.
I actually had Mrs. Norman, but i soon realized that if i actually wanted to pass, something had to change. so i went to brewers class, she helped me soo much, paul is kool too, so at all costs avoid norman. get brewer but paul is a good substitute if u cant get brewer..
Good professor, she does her job and will happily help outside of class. I've had norman and brewer and brewer is much better.
The best chemistry teacher on campus.
I took her for Chemistry 1, and she was very helpful and worked through hard concepts slowly and made them easy to understand. Stay caught up with the homework and come to class for the project days! This class isn't bad just a little time consuming.. but don't take it with Norman!!
Mrs. Brewer was the nicest prof. I've had so far. She was very easy to approach if you had a problem. I hardly touched my book. I did do all of the extra material she gave us and went to most of the class. She also hands out bonus points which can get you over a borderline grade.
Although it is a difficult subject, Brewer does a good job of explaining everything. As long as you go to her lectures and do the book work this class will be a breeze
She is super nice and really cares about her students. I went to class and never did a problem in the book. If you pay attention and print out the PPT slides ahead of class you will do fine. All I did for tests was do the practice tests and GO TO THE REVIEW SESSIONS and SI! if you do, it makes so much more since! get every ex. credit possible!
Dr. Brewer is a great professor. Even though her classes are usually 250+, she encourages you to drop by her office and get to know her, and always helps when asked. Attendance isn't mandatory, but going to class helps since she does random "projects". Tests are tricky, but she provides plenty of practice material. She teaches things very clearly.
Brewer might be one of the most caring teachers i've ever met. my only wish is that her class sizes were smaller because i can tell she'd be phenomenal in the one-on-one setting. she loves chemistry and actually knows how to teach it to others, id recommend her over the other chemistry teachers. make sure to start strong or you'll play catch up
Disregard any negative comments from freshmen. I am a senior and I can fully appreciate the quality of instruction she delivers. The is an outstanding professor and a value to the university. The only downside is that she tends to make test questions unnecessarily difficult.
Ms. Brewer is very clear when she explains all the subjects. Chemistry is very hard, so you have to do your book work to get a good grade. The online homework is hell, and it doesn't help at all, even though that is the homework that counts toward your grade. GO TO SI!!
If you have to take chem2 ONLY TAKE DR BREWER!!! AGAIN UNDER NO SERCOMSTANCE SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS CLASS WITH SOMEONE ELSE. Yes it is a tough class but I've never been around a science teacher who actually cares about your final grade like she does. Go to class and for test practice her power piont problems.
Dr. Brewer is a very nice lady. She will remind you throughout the year that she is here to help and that all she wants is for you to succeed. If you don't do well on the first test go get help!
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TAKE HONORS. The test, lectures, and anything else is the same as regular Chemistry 2. The only difference is an extra drill once a week, which isn't too bad. You must study for all chemistry courses, and attendance is necessary, but Mrs. Brewer is the best chemistry teacher you could take, for chemistry 1 and 2.
She is an absolutely amazing teacher. She really cares about how you do in the class. She does everything possible to help you succeed. She is such a nice lady. She will round you up if you show effort in her class. usually you only have to make an 86 for an A. If could take her for every chemistry class then I definitely would. I 100% recommend.
Great teacher!! Helps you whenever you need it and will help until u understand.
Mrs. Brewer is hands down the best college professor I've ever had. She constantly reminds her students that she is there to help you and will go over the material until you understand. Best Univ. Chem I teacher at the university
Dr. Brewer is so helpful. She ALWAYS reminds her students that she wants us to succeed. Her teaching is very clear and she is truly a very kind person. Take her class for sure!
GREAT teacher! Really knows the information well and is always there to help students succeed. DO NOT TAKE ANYONE ELSE FOR CHEM 2! (and if you do, go to Brewer's lectures so you can pass). Great class. Significantly harder than Chem I (material wise) but there is lots of help available! TAKE BREWER!!!
Brewer is the best Chem 1 and 2 professor hands down. Tests are pretty difficult, but an A is very attainable if you do all the OWL and go to class for in class points. Cares about her students' success and is more than willing to help students. Book work is not a must, but would definitely recommend it.
horrible, worst chem teacher ever!!! Highly NOT recommended.
Very clear in class. If you did badly you didn't use what she gave you. Gives TONS of review for studying, leaves her office always open. Go to class, she gives clicker quizzes but they often are review and help you. Quite a bit of homework, but if you do it you will do just fine.
She's a nice lady but I have a hard time listening in a classroom with 250+ students.
From the chem teachers that are available, it is a MUST that you take Brewer. She is a nice lady and cares very much about your grade. She even gives you her phone #. DO ALL OF THE HOMEWORK. The tests are hell, but if you do the OWL's and the SI it boosts your grade tremendously.
She's extremely helpful and she cares about her students A LOT! Go to class, (she gives free clicker points often) and is THE BEST Chem 1 teacher. Other teachers (I've heard) don't teach the right material for the tests. She gives SO MUCH review and even a practice test that is very similar to the test. GO TO SI!!!
Chem is tough no matter what, but Brewer is definitely the teacher to have. She always willing to answer questions and help however. She's clear with what you're expected to learn and how to learn it. If you do what she says you can get an A or B
Mrs. Brewer is a positive personality and her class is decent. She keeps it interesting, usually through working problems. The way the class is set up, you can get Ds on the tests and get an A in the class. The way she explains concepts is sometimes lacking. Reading the material prior to class makes it easier. You must attend for clickr points
The class itself will be difficult no matter who you have, but Dr. Brewer is the best chemistry teacher that the university has on staff. She's so sweet, keeps all of her students in the loop on whats going on, and genuinely cares about teaching students. She's also very down to earth and funny.
Chem is going to be hard no matter what but Dr. Brewer is the best! She explains the material very well in class and gives a lot of free clicker points that help buffer your grade. She is one of the nicest/ most helpful people ever. Go to SI and do the OWL; it really helps you understand the material and boosts your grade.
Dr. Brewer is an excellent teacher. You have to do the homework from the learning objectives to get a good grade in this class. She introduces the material and does clicker questions to make sure the class as a majority understands. A lot of outside effort is required though.
Chemistry at this school is ridiculous no matter who you have it with because they all work together and give you the exact same information, homework, and tests but Brewer is the best one at teaching it. I am awful at chemistry but the way she explains things helps a ton. She answers emails about assignments too.
This teacher tends to talk a lot. She spends over half the time talking about chemistry, so that's nice. But be prepared to have your inbox flooded with ridiculously long emails about winters and how she feels about pens and pencils and pointless stuff you'll never read.
Brewer is the best UC1 teacher at the U of A. She teaches at a level all can understand and works through so many old test questions with the class that it makes it much easier to grasp. She genuinely cares about her students and their success. UC1 is going to be a difficult course, but take her & it will make it a little easier to handle.
Dr. Brewer is the best CHEM teacher I have ever had. I will definitely be taking her CHEM II course. She is great at explaining things. She has lots of office hours and is more than willing to explain things a second and even a third time if you don't understand.
MUST GO TO LECTURES, WHEN I MISSED A DAY, ID FEEL CERY OVERWHELMED THE FOLLOWING CLASS OR ON HOMEWORK.
Brewer is a fantastic Chemistry teacher for Chem I and Chem 2. She has a great teaching style and although Chemistry is tough, she is super helpful.
DO NOT SKIP CLASS EVER. She keeps lecture interesting by providing joke breaks and you get plenty of class participation points. Her lectures are long but so beneficial to learning. She makes herself available to all students, and this is a very large class. Some extra credit is given
Professor Brewer is a saint. She gave out her home phone number on the first day of class for us to call in case we needed help after hours with homework or such. She is the sweetest lady and while her class is EXTREMELY hard, it's also University Chemistry (so like duh it's hard) and if you have to take it, TAKE PROFESSOR BREWER.
Dr. Brewer deserves the praise the student body gives her. She is in the business of helping students any way she can. Every day she implores students to come see her if they need help. I really like her joke breaks too, they're a good way to wake students up, and a good breather for what I would consider exceedingly difficult material in class.
Brewer is hands down the BEST professor to take for Chem I and Chem II. She is pretty thorough in her lectures, always has an open door, and the tests are fair. If you go to class, put in some effort, and study a bit, you can get an A in both of the classes.
Dr. Brewer is a great chemistry teacher, but in Chem 2 prepare to read your book and practice problems in the back of the chapters. If you follow the lectures daily and take good notes, then review those notes on a daily basis, you can definitely pass this class.
Also had her for Chem I. She knows what she's talking about. You have to put a lot of time into the courses, especially if Chemistry is not your strong point. Class is curved but still hard. Go to SI, get a study partner, get help in office hours. It's imperative you go to class if you plan to pass. HWreading is not mandatory. Do it to pass tests.
She is very willing to help if you make an effort in this course. Chemistry is a difficult class, keep that in mind. But most professors require you read the book but with brewer she covers everything so well that you only need to read when you don't understand a learning objective
Wonderful professor. Explains enough to understand, but going back into the book helps even more. I would take her course again for the rest of my chemistry courses if I could.
Professor Brewer is truly an amazing professor. She gives you all the tools you need to succeed in her course and she really understands the material and presents it in an easy to follow manner. She doesn't give you all the answers and you will have to put in the effort but she does make a challenging course such as chemistry seem less daunting.
Professor Brewer was one of the best teachers I had. Something that helped me the most was printing out her outline slides before class and then going through them during her lectures. Doing the practice exams before the real exam really helped too. Like all chemistry classes, this one is hard. However, Brewer is always there to help in any way.
Great teacher. Went to class to click in and barely paid attention. Google the homework and get all of you're extra points from si and you should be fine. Know the study guide for exams because the test is very similar. The final sucks.
Fantastic Teacher. If you aren't good at Chemistry, she makes a big effort to help you do well. If chemistry is easy for you, the work load is pretty light. Doing all of the homework is a great way to prepare for things in this class. The textbook/manual/subscription at the bookstore is kind of a ripoff but you can use it for two semesters
Dr. Brewer cares about all of her students. If you're having issues, go to her office hours and she will take a genuine interest in you and your understanding. She's my favorite professor on campus and if you can take her class, TAKE IT!
Dr. Brewer is AWESOME! The material is difficult, but she takes her job seriously in making sure students understand it. She wants everyone to do well, and will work homework problems with you one-on-one if you get stuck or don't understand something. Just go to talk to her. Really regret that I didn't have Dr. Brewer for Chem I.
IF YOU ARE TAKING UC1 OR UC2, TAKE BREWER!!!!!! SHE MAKES THE EXAMS AND WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED IT!!!! I literally love her more than any other professor on this campus! Defiantly would recommend taking her, you will love her and how she teaches the class!!!!
LOVES teaching and is always enthusiastic and happy to see her students. Pay attention, work problems in class, because the HW/exam q's are more in depth and you need content mastery to get an A. Go to office hours with questions. If you get to know her, she will write you GLOWING letters of recc. There is no better professor than Dr. Brewer.
EXCELLENT professor. She is incredibly dedicated to her students, and is always willing to help explain a difficult concept. However, the class itself is almost stupidly difficult. If you didn't take AP Chem in HS or struggle with math, this class will be a nightmare. STUDY! Do NOT skip SI, and do ALL of the MasteringChem. The points rack up!! :)
Dr. Brewer always seemed to have a genuine care for her students. She was concerned with making class interesting and understandable. Her office always seemed to be open and was extremely approachable. The class itself is difficult for most people that take it; but overall, I feel like the content was presented well.
Make sure to keep up with homework, Si, attendance (clicker points).I was sooo intimidated by this course. But Mrs. Brewer is amazing at what she does! she made everything so understandable. I only wish I would have taken her for chem I as well. I am so thankful to have had her!
Dr. Brewer was a wonderful professor. She was always available in her office and truly wanted to help students if they didn't understand something. She would often take joke breaks during her lectures, which was helpful since chemistry 2 material can be quite heavy at times. 10/10 would recommend.
Dr. Brewer is by far THE BEST professor I have ever had. As long as you go to class and pay attention and understand the material, you will be fine. Grading scale is easy because it allows you to do bad on a few things and still be able to make an A. She is such a good explainer and loves what she teaches. I would take her for every class if I could
She is the best of the three professors available for Chem I. She has an engaging-powerpoint-lecture teaching style and makes her slides very available to you. Clicker questions make class mandatory but you will come to appreciate the easy points. Overall, would highly recommend for Chem I and is setting you up for success.
Brewer is great. It's easy to pay attention in class and she does a good job of showing you how to work problems. She stops class to read jokes and she really wants her students to do well. Homework can be a lot but only due twice a week. Tests are a piece of cake if you do the practice tests. Go to SI. Sit up front.
Dr. Brewer is an amazing professor. She is very knowledgeable in Chemistry, and is very much invested in her students' success. She is ALWAYS in her office and very approachable. Grading is very lenient. Tests are difficult, buy you should get an A if you understand the material and go to SI.
Mrs. Brewer was wonderful! Very sweet. Obviously knows what she is talking about, and you can tell she really cares. She is super approachable, and honestly adorable overall. I have yet to meet another student who did not like her.
One of the best teachers ive ever had. I couldn't get into her chemistry 2 class so i will wait another semester before taking it. If she is my teacher i feel much more confident taking the class.
Dr. Brewer is nice and great at teaching. She really wants students to succeed and encourages students to make an appointment with her if you need extra help. She gives joke breaks during lectures sometimes to give you a break.
legitimately cares about the learning of her student. It's a tough class, but what chemistry class isn't. Take full advantage of her office hours, they really help and you won't find any other professor that has that many hours to meet with their students.
I hate chemistry, but I LOVE this professor. Make every attempt to get all mastering chem questions right and attend all of your SIs. Sit by people you can collaborate with in class so that you get help with clicker questions. I never used my textbook to study. BIG mistake. Study for exams!! Oh and Prof. Brewer gives you joke breaks. It's awesome.
Wow. Never have had (and probably won't have again) a teacher as caring and passionate as she is. She presents the information highly organized and easy to understand. Always willing to help and very accessible. There is homework but it is very manageable. 300% genuinely cares about the well-being of her students.
She is the best prof I have ever taken. She's one of those life-changing teachers. She's extremely caring toward her students and is wonderful at explaining the content. She's the reason why I decided my major and made me really like Chemistry!
Best professor ever!! She truly cares about her students, on the first day of class she gave us all her home phone number. Also very helpful with questions and takes joke breaks in class when material gets difficult. This is the most Ive ever gotten out of a chemistry class! Definitely would recommend Brewer
I took Mrs. Brewer for University Chem I and she was extremely nice and easy to work with and she made it super easy to get an A, but you do have to work for it a little. She is the best Chem I teacher and I would recommend taking her if you have to take the class. Make sure to show up to class everyday and don't fall behind.
Dr. Brewer is one of the better Chem I teachers. I had like a 70 something for the learning catalytic in class questions and it got rounded to a 95. She usually spends too much time reviewing from the last class so she has to rush the new topics and try to cram all of it into the last 15 minutes of class. You have to really work to get an A.
Dr. Brewer was very kind and would meet with you outside of class if you needed help. I thought that reading the book was necessary, and the book tied in directly to the online homework. She worked through the online participation questions during lecture, and her lectures were very helpful in passing the class.
Dr. Brewer is one of the best professors I have had. She is very accessible outside of class and willing to go over homework questions and tests. If you are not a hard worker this is not the class for you. Try to sit by an SI leader in class so you can get help with learning catalytic. Must be proactive to pass!
In this class, I always felt like Dr. Brewer was rooting for me and wanted me to succeed. She was so accessible outside of class and was always willing to answer questions in class. There are options for extra credit, but this class is very homework heavy. However, that's good because there are lots of opportunities for points to pass.
Dr. Brewer has to be one of the most sympathetic professors on campus. She really cares about your wellbeing and if you understand the material or not. She explains concepts well. There are plenty of extra-credit opportunities to help boost your grade. If you have taken IB or AP Chemistry, this class will be an easy A.
She is so sweet and helped me with other subjects even though it didn't benefit her at all. Super sweet! Would take any class with her.
She was awesome! I had her for Chem 1 last semester and made sure to take her for Chem 2 this semester. She's great at actually teaching the material, and always tries to make sure everyone understands before moving on. She's one of the few professors that actually cares.
Dr. Brewer really cares about her students and does everything she can to make sure they're successful. The material is somewhat difficult to grasp at first, but if you pay attention in class and take advantage of her office hours, you should do just fine. The tests are kind of a shock but you should do okay if you do the book problems(!!).
I love Dr. Brewer. She is by far the best professor I've ever had. I had her for Chem 1 and 2, and she is an awesome teacher. You have to read your book and do the end of the chapter questions to good on the test.
She is definitely a great professor, especially if this is one of the first classes you will be taking in college. Unlike some of the other professors in who do chem 1 and 2, her lectures cover concepts as well as problems, while other professors do only example problems. She is incredibly kind and available for help as well. Nothing bad to say.
Professor Brewer is great! You can tell she really cares about your success. If you were able to breeze through chem 1 do NOT expect this class to be as easy. You have to really work for the grade and read the textbook before the lecture
What is there to say about Professor Brewer that hasn't already been said? She's great. She's very sweet, encouraging and open to helping out her students and explains chemistry very well (albeit at a pretty fast pace, you're probably best off reading ahead of lectures). There is a good amount of homework though, stay on top of it.
While Professor Brewer is as friendly and sweet as these other reviews have stated, her teaching style is absolutely heinous. You are expected to teach yourself everything as, she'll never offer more guidance than a half solved practice problem or some cheesy chemistry joke. She believes the material to be easy and looks down on those who don't.
Lorraine is such a sweet, old lady. She loves to tell jokes in class and she is always ready to answer questions during the lecture or during office hours. This class, in general, is just so hard, be prepared to read lots from the textbook (in order to do well) and lots of online homework. She takes easy, free clicker points during lecture.
Dr. Brewer is the best Chem 1 professor. She is super knowledgeable and more than anything wants her students to do well. Her lectures offer free points and she teaches is a clear concise manner while making it fun as well. The class still requires some work though. Get the book and do some outside reading/practice and you will get an a.
She is super easy and great to talk to. She would come up and ask about my week and make sure I was doing okay and understanding everything. She explains things very well. Gives easy participation points in class. Tests are difficult. She always says she isn't succeeding if we don't feel successful. Wants students to succeed. The book helps some.
Lectures were so good that I almost never had to read the book. She tries to help students the best she can and cares about the learning of students.
Dr. Brewer makes Chemistry seem so easy. She is a great professor who cares tremendously about her students. It's like having your grandmother teach you Chemistry, as she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
Dr. Brewer's method of teaching has been nearly perfected after her decades in the classroom. She explains things clearly in class and is extremely helpful during a student's visit to her office during the allotted hours. I'm taking Chemistry II from her next semester, and am looking forward to it!
Dr. Brewer truly cares about the success of her students and provides many opportunities to succeed. Lectures are mostly about practicing things covered in homework with explanations. She knows what she is talking about and explains well.
brewer is a great chem professor even though the material is pretty hard, she always has office hours and really cares about her students, she always uploads her lecture slides but leaves blanks in them so you really have to go to class and always has extra practice problems for anything you get confused on
Chemistry itself is hard but you can tell she really cares about her students! She is always willing to help you out outside of class and help you improve your grade. If you read the textbook before lectures and work book problems for extra practice, you will do great in the class!
Dr. Brewer is the absolute best, and I am so glad I didn't take this class with anyone else. The material is pretty challenging, and Dr. Brewer really cares about her student's success. There is some extra credit opportunities which I highly recommend taking advantage of. If you take UC2, take it with Dr. Brewer, and get to know her.
Professor Brewer is truly a saint and I am so lucky to have had her this semester. She is so wonderful, kind, patient, and understanding. She is always available for extra help but the lectures are very clear that I only ever went to office hours for a smile!
Professor Brewer is a genuinely nice lady, but Chem 2 is awful. Chem 1 was relatively easy IF you studied. Studying the practice exams gave you a pretty good idea what to expect on the test. In chem 2, however, the practice exams are nothing like the real exam. Unless you read every detail of the book and take perfect notes, you wont do well.
This was my 2nd semester with Dr. Brewer (I had her for chem I & II), and she is so sweet and caring to her students. She teaches chemistry very well, probably the best at U of A. There's some drawbacks though (this is more prevalent in chem II), MasteringChem (HW) & the tests SUCK. Especially the final exam, it was absolutely AWFUL. Study HARD.
As of the end of freshman year, she is by far my favorite professor. Certain chapters of UC2 were more tricky than others, and those are the chapters where going to office hours really helps a lot. She is very fun to be around and motivates you to want to study!
She is seriously so nice and helpful just be ready to study and work a lot of practice problems.
Dr. Brewer will probably be the best professor I will ever have. Each day, she comes to class with excitement to teach because she thoroughly enjoys the content. She even adds little joke breaks to add some flavor to the material. I am actually sad that I have now finished the course.
One of the nicest professors on the entire campus. Your grade is pretty dependent on your exam grades, but she gives practice exams that are identical to the real things. Tons of office hours
Dr. Brewer is one of my favorite professors. She is so sweet and cares for her students' academia and personal life. She makes extremely hard content make sense. She always has office hours, and they are so helpful! She makes sure you understand the content before leaving. I would take her for Chem 1 and Chen 2!!
Professor Brewer really is a sweet, caring lady that wants to see her students succeed. However, during lectures she doesnt take time to teach the material and often flies through concepts just to get them squeezed in. A lot of the content you learn on your own and you WILL have to work in this class. I ended with a B after the comprehensive final
Professor Brewer really cares about each student and wants to help you. The lectures are really clear, and she breaks down difficult material well. It demands a lot of time outside of class for studying and homework to do well, but the grading is generous. You will have to do the homework and study, but overall this class is excellent.
A very good and sweet professor who knew her stuff. The content is pretty challenging, and it requires working and studying quite a bit. The test are rough, be prepared! Go to SI and use it- the bonus from SI is very helpful come finals time. Only thing I can complain about is that sometimes before tests she would have to cram a lot of material.
Despite chemistry being very hard for me, Dr. Brewer does everything she can to help you pass. Another sign of a good professor is that she often takes joke breaks in between topics.
Professor Brewer might be nice, but she was rude with me after I went on campus to her office hours to ask for help. I told her what I was having problem with and she said "well that's easy, if you don't mind I have other students to tend to" and shoved me out the door. She speeds through lectures to get concepts in and doesn't explain much.
Dr. Brewer is an amazing professor. She made a difficult class like chemistry a little bit better, and really does her best to help her students succeed. She is passionate about teaching. There is quite a bit of work, but I think it is necessary for a class like this. You get points in lecture, so show up. Study lots for exams!!
I've heard that she is a great professor, so that's why I believe that it was probably just an issue with transitioning to online. That being said, this is the single worst class I have ever taken. I knew it was bad when I went to sleep crying and woke up crying. Most of the people I talked to got horrible grades. She just didn't explain the topic.
Dr. Brewer is great and I love her! However, her teaching style is just not the right style for me. It could've been because it was all online, but the lectures were very long, very complex, and were read through very fast. I should have done more of the practice problems and utilized my textbook more, as you have to teach yourself a lot of it.
Dr. Brewer is probably one of the best professors at the University. She has such a deep understanding behind all the chemistry we learn about . If she could help out a student in any way academically, she would because she is such a gem. She cares a lot about her students' success. Also, she makes difficult material easy through her lectures.
The tests are extremely hard and there is no curve. On one exam the average was a 48%
Chem 2 is a LOT harder than chem 1. Brewer does a fantastic job at explaining difficult concepts! However, you have to put in the work and do the book problems and try to really understand the concepts. If you just memorize the practice exam, you won't do well.
Professor Brewer is extremely critical for no reason. Every time I would ask a question she would answer in a very demeaning way. She teaches incredibly fast and expects students to understand right away. Missed my first test due to technology issues and she gave me a 0, after I sent her proof, contacted the IT desk, and came to office hours.
I used to love chemistry and this class genuinely made me hate it. The lectures were dull and long and the professor went so fast through each lecture that attending lecture was basically useless. You are better off just learning everything on your own. However, if you don't attend class your grade will suffer do to in class questions for points.
Chem 2 kicked my butt. Worlds harder than chem 1. The professors set up a very generous curve so most students are still able to pass, even with 30-60% exam averages. Definitely read your textbook and DEFINITLEY do the end of chapter practice problems. I never did them in chem 1, but theyre absolutely necessary in chem 2.
Obviously a caring person, Professor Brewer makes the difficult parts of Chem I bearable. Her frequency of clicker questions guarantees you'll be in class, but it also gives you more questions to miss and still get full points. Massive amount of homework and reading, but that's to be expected in college-level Chemistry.
She is a genuinely sweet lady who wants her students to pass. Very progressive for an older professor. The course material isn't hard but there is just a lot of material to cover. She is extremely accessible through office hours. Not a class you can skip as there are a lot of in-class points. Exams are fairly challenging.
Nice old lady that gives you lots of points for showing up. 3 test and everything else is easy or basically free points
This class wasn't too bad if you take her suggestions. There is a lot of extra work that isn't required, but it could help you do better in the class. Be prepared to struggle a bit if you haven't taken a previous higher level chem class. This class moves pretty fast
I personally loved professor Brewer. I thought she made the class very manageable as long as I payed attention and put in effort. She's also very fun and personable during lectures.
Brewer was an amazing teacher. This class was very difficult but she did a great job explaining the concepts. It is super important to go to class, do the homework and go to SI. Each of these sections are worth points that will really help your grade. Brewer definitely wants to see you succeed and is always there to help
Dr. Brewer got me to like Chemistry after absolutely hating it in 11th and 12th grade. She takes the time to go through plenty of examples in lecture to ensure success in each student. Having trouble in lecture or just with life? Go to her office hours! She is an amazing and very caring person and will help you in every way she can. Lots of reading
Professor Brewer made me enjoy going to chemistry. Get lots of points for showing up and in-class participation. Highly recommend office hours, shes always there to help or just talk. overall best prof I've had.
Goated
Failed 3/4 exams and passed with a C. Hardest class ever for me personally, but if you do your homework and go to everything, passing is possible. Brewer is a great professor and cares for each student.
Professor Brewer is a genuinely sweet lady who cares about you learning the information and putting it into practice. UC2 is difficult but she is the best option of all the professors. She is very accessible for help. Her classes require extensive work outside of class to master the material but she gives you the resources to be successful.
Professor Brewer is extremely effective at teaching complicated material in a way that is easy to understand. She is undoubtedly one of the best professors I've ever had, and I owe my A to her incredible explanations. Chemistry II is a difficult course, but if you follow her study tips then you will succeed easily. I highly recommend her.
Dr.Brewer's chemistry one and two are setup for people to succeed! She knows that this course is hard and consistently reminds you that she is there to help you succeed. Tons of office hours and lots of opportunities to succeed!
I had Dr. Brewer for Chem II and she was by far one of my favorite professors. She was encouraging, takes joke breaks during class to give your brain a rest, and she makes it easy to ask questions and participate. She is extremely accessible outside of class and wants to help you succeed. She breaks down material really well but it does move fast.
Very good at explaining difficult topics
Tough class. Mrs. Brewer will help during office hours though.
Great Chemistry professor, she knows what shes talking about and is easy to talk to outside of class. She makes it very clear that she wants her students to succeed and if you are struggling I can 100% guarantee she will be there for you. Chem is not an easy subject but as long as you pay attention during lecture and do your hw you will pass easily
Professor Brewer goes through lectures quickly, but she is very good about checking in with her students throughout class and answer any questions. She gives practice questions and students can earn in class points during each lecture. Make sure to read the textbook chapters recommended and work through the problems.
She very clearly cares about her students. Explains hard material in a simple manner and stops often to make sure everyone understands it. Takes time during lecture for joke breaks to give your brain a break. Overall extremely nice person. Very valuable extra credit offered here and there. GO TO SI. THE BONUS WILL HELP YOU BIGTIME IN THE END.
Professor Brewer is by far the best Chem 1 teacher at Arkansas. She truly gets you ready for the exams which is most of the grade and she really wants to see everyone succeed in this hard Chem class.
Professor Brewer is the best professor I've ever had. She teaches very difficult classes, and explains all of the material extremely well. She really cares about all of her students and wants them to succeed.
She is so sweet and explains things very clearly and really cares about the students and wants us to do well. Her personality did irk me a little bit, but she is really an amazing woman. It is a massive lecture so it's difficult for the class to be enjoyable but she tries her best. The tests are hard and you have to put in the work.
Dr. Brewer is an amazing professor and person. It's evident that she wants you to succeed in the class and tries her best to help you get there. She provides you with all of the material you need to do well on the tests, so I recommend using those. Do the take-home questions from the slides and practice the ones we do in class- I found it helpful
Very great professor! Had no problems with her!
never had problems with her and she is very accessible after class
She is a sweetheart and tries to make the material as interesting as she can. She does lecture pretty quickly so I highly recommend going over the material before class.
Professor Brewer is amazing and tries her hardest to make the material easier to understand it is simply just a very hard course. The tests are not very forgiving but its easier to make up points in other areas of the class. You have to show up or your grade will suffer.
Fantastic Chem Teacher. Wish she wasn't retiring next semester. She cares, she enjoys what she does, and she teaches very well.
An excellent professor for a very difficult class.
Dr. Brewer is definitely the best professor for Chem I. She cares about your understanding of the class and is very accessible if you need help. Be prepared to work. Lots of homework and participation points that really matter by the end of the semester. Show up to class or you will really struggle. Good study guides are provided for exams however.
Dr. Brewer is retiring at the end of the semester. I just wanted to come on here and say that she is probably the best professor I will ever have. She always makes sure to be there for her students and provides ample support. She will be missed dearly.
Professor Brewer is the best chemistry professor on campus. Her lectures were always engaging and very helpful with learning the content. The practice material provided for tests were very similar to the tests given. I'm lucky to have had her for her last semester teaching!
This was her last semester, but I truly believe Brewer should be the standard of teaching everywhere. She was kind and considerate and extremely knowledgeable in her field. The chem department will be significantly worse without her.
Professor Brewer was an amazing professor. 10/10. She has a ton of office hours and tutoring avalible. Definetly the best chemistry teacher I've ever had.
Dr. Brewer was an amazing professor who made Chemistry much easier to understand. She provided resources to help you succeed in the class.
I believe my class was her last class before retirement, so this may not matter. Anyway, she is a great teacher who is passionate and cares about her students. She makes chemistry as enjoyable as it can be. She wants you to pass and enjoy the class. She is one of the best teachers I have had.
Professor Brewer is an excellent chem professor. She cares about student understanding and is very accessible. The class is challenging but manageable with attending lectures, doing the homework, and using resources like unstuckstudy ai for study prep.
