Had fun learning from her in my first semester. I didn't even know how to write an academic paper then. I owe a lot to her patience and encouragement. She's not at Douglas anymore. She's at Elizabeth Fry where I do volunteer work.

very nice teacher. Most of the test are from her lectures and she will give you a hint if that question would be an essay question. Highly recommend.

Shes an excellent teacher, but she is such a hard marker!! One of the hardest markers i have had, make sure you study and study and edit your papers 500 times.

Very funny teacher, tests are based mostly on notes, but some reading information too. Take your time on the paper and let her see it before you hand it in. She is quite fair and very helpfull to students.

Probably the greatest teacher I have ever had, I would take anything she teaches, she gives test hints throughout the entire course and is an easy marker, all you have to do is the readings.

Its not hard to do well in this class she sets out her expectations clearly and if you don't follow them to get a good grade its your own fault. Will take more class with her.

I took her semester courses (ALL 3 OF THEM!) and what an awesome prof. Read the other ratings, not much else needs to be said. Go to the classes, know your notes, and use stars throughout! She marks papers hard.

Very informative lectures. She tells you EXACTLY what will be on test. Easy to score well on exams for that reason. Fun, friendly, and easy to talk to, but hard to contact out of class. Unclear with term paper - she'll tell you its wrong, but doesn't say why. Wants many pages, but no detail.

If you cant get a good mark with her, then just drop out of school. Shes the best teacher peroid. Shes teaches very clearly and tells you exactly what she expects on the tests and papers. Shes more than happy to help out students and does a great job of making everything clear. If your taking crim classes, take all the classes you can with her.

You cannot attend Douglas without taking one of her classes! She is one of the top instructors here. She gives out exam Q's and lectures are actually enjoyable! You couldn't pack more personality into her if you tried. I love her! If you take Crim - the only way to go is Lorree.

I was just takin this class to get credits, but it turned out to be really interesting and tons of fun. you cant help but not get invovled in her lectures, her notes are amazing and she tells u whats gonna be on the test

little bit sarcastic, but great overall.Shes got the personality and the wardrobe left over from the days of punk. Gritty, and doesn't take @#%$ from anybody.The class though is a complete waste of time unless your're 3 and can't solve problems like grown ups do.

i was weary of taking a crim class, but i really liked it. the prof made a huge difference and was passionate about law and really funny. plus she makes you think. really good for any outspoken, passionate people. her class and tests are tough but, she is really helpful if you have any problems. go to class, take notes, and make a good effort.

Get a Pen and Paper and mark test on it! keep it asside and know it and you will do very well! Pretty amazing, very bold, expect to be challenged, she wants you to learn. She does not play favourites or show any biases, she does keep you entertained though.

Superb skill, in translating material. If she is late, she is probably mentoring some class mate that needs help, if you want to move ahead with Crim, she is very resourceful.

Expects a lot from her students, but not too much. The assignments are challenging albeit doable (and interesting to boot) She's very good at explaining things and keeps open office hours if you need to ask questions. As for personality, she's funny and amiable. The only thing to complain about is her penmanship. Just ask for clarification!

Good Class, did not have any interest prior. Jail tour was fun. Good lectures, provides all answers to quizzes in lectures. recommend.

Took both Crim 1150 & Crim 1170 with her. I highly recommened taking her classes. She's very entertaining in her lectures, down to eartch, and let's you know exactly what questions she's going to give you for the exams. Only bad part about the course was the group project, but there's not really any way you can get around those!

Amazing teacher, she explains everything very well and is entertaining. I enjoyed going to class with her! Exams are okay, pay attention in class and take good notes and they will be easy.. attendance isn't mandatory but if you dont go you will be lost on the exams.

Took, Crim 1100, 1150, and 1170 with her, you do not get lost. She is a fair marker and will let you turn in assignments two weeks in advance for her to give feedback. She will give you hints on what is going to be on exams so nothing is a suprise. Was interesting, had stories to tell but all related to class discussion. highly reccomend!

Incredible prof. If you're an introductory student or even just looking for a break or elective, Loree is the way to go. She's funny, has lots of stories, cares for the students, and brings an incredible levle of work to the campus. Best professor I've ever had.

Attend all her classes because you'll never know when she'll tell you questions that she'll ask on her exams. GPA booster class. ALL her exams are extremely easy as long as you study her notes and her hints.

She's just about everything you want in a professor and is very personable. An added bonus of having her as a teacher is that you get to hear some of her many interesting stories. :P One drawback is that she tends to jump topics a lot when she's talking, so taking notes can become a little challenging.

I took both 1100 and 1150 with Lorree, back to back. She is AMAZING! like others said shes all you want in a prof, shes very relatable, and doesn't fret to drop a few "f bombs" ;) she tells you all the written questions and expects you to read text on your own, assignments are fair overall excellent prof would strongly recommend her!

Very easy going class and makes the class interesting. Loves to make jokes and tends to go of topic but gets all the required info out to you. Coming to class is an advantage because she gives you have the test to you by giving you the short answers that may be on the test. Just take good notes and you will do well in the class. TAKE HER CLASS!!!!!

Lorree is a prof that treats her students like adults. She's not there to baby step you through the course. She's available if you need her and she's extremely helpful if you put in the effort. Shouldn't skip classes because note taking is important as well as handing in assignments ON TIME. She's a great prof, probably my favourite hands down!

Love her class! You NEED to come to class, you need to pay attention and you need to put in effort BUT if you do, you will get a good mark AND enjoy the class. She treats students like peers and is very real with them. I didn't need this class but took it because I love her that much.

Lorree is a fantastic proff and that says alot since I only took an online course with her. Her discussions were interesting and for the Weekly journals you need to put in the effort. Her exams are fair but if you are doing it online i would type up your notes and have all your journalsdiscussions open as well test is long and this is the best tip

Lorree is a great prof, I'm saying this after taking her class online. Very helpful, active and responsive. Participate in the weekly discussions, read the assigned chapters and do your journals. The tests are multiple choice based on the textbook and short answers based on lectures, weekly discussions and journals. Would definitely take again!

Best prof I've ever had! Not a heavy work load and gives all tests questions before each exam so you always get a chance to do well! Very humorous and makes lectures very interesting (most of the time). Also, there is no final, just 2 large exams, 1 term paper, 1 group presentation and an open book an notes quiz for the final.

Professor Bogden made my first semester at Douglas College an amazing experience. She was helpful, and her lectures were very clear. She is always there for you if you need help, so don't hesitate to ask questions. She also tells you what questions are going to be on the tests and gives you the answers to them, so take notes!

This was one of my first classes for my first semester at Douglas, she was amazing. Walked in with such a vibrant and approachable personality. She makes the lecture understandable but also funny and relatable to the younger generation. Feedback on assignments are clear and she's willing to explain and help out.

Lorree is an amazing instructor. Her course format is clear and the workload and expectations are all reasonable given that this is a 4th year course. Frankly, if you read and do your homework you will do well. Her exams are gifts not because they are not challenging, but because Lorree equips students to succeed! Excellent prof, content amazing!!

Lorree is super funny and makes her lectures relatable. She makes clear what questions will be on exams and gives clear answers, which makes it important to show up for lectures because that is what a majority of exams are based on. She makes the class interesting and provides relevant content that questions your preconceived notions of crime.

Lorree was by far my faviourite prof at douglas. Although she makes people work for their grades, she cares about her student and helps them to do well. She gives the short answer and 1 long answer questions in class so keep note of that! Overall, she's an amazing prof and knows how to keep her class engaged because she's naturally hilarious.

This was a great class. I learned a lot, despite it being an online course. Lorree was really active in the course and gave great feedback. The exams were really fair and easy and so was the final quiz. You must put some effort in your journal questions in order to do well, which are worth 40% of your mark. Easy A and gpa booster!

Lorree has to be one of my favourite professors in Douglas. She actually makes her lectures interesting and is hilarious. However, she is a hard marker when it comes to the paper, which brought my grade down a lot because she will not be satisfied with just any paper, but any other work like presentations and exams she is fair and gives most answer

Lorree dresses and speaks to impress. First impressions: she looks like a TED Talks presenter! She's well rehearsed, eloquent in speech, and the best thing is you actually learn and remember things in class. Gives weekly journals that require effort, but help prepare you for the paper and the final. Not an easy class, but solid professor.

I felt cared about, she wants her students to succeed. She gives incredible feedback and is so interactive with her online students. The outline for the course was clear and interesting. We were given all the materials that we needed to succeed. I feel as if I learned a lot and really came out of this course with knowledge I didn't have before.

If your easly offended by course and blunt language don't take this course. That being said, Lorree is perhaps one of the best CRIM profs at Douglas if you have the chance to take a course with her, do it. She's super charismatic and hilarious. Start assignments early and you'll succeed, papers are research-heavy and you'll need lots of time.

Gives you answers to tests during lecture so make sure you go! She is very funny. Tests are pretty easy, she likes to give open book. Do the readings though so you know where to look during the tests. She tells you exactly what she expects. Send your essays to the learning center but also ask for her feedback.

Lorree is the funniest prof that I've ever had. Her lectures are interesting and her energy while teaching is fantastic and keeps the class engaged. She is a fair marker and the topics for the final paper are actually interesting.

Easy class, watch the lectures and do the readings, the exams are super easy and open book. Weekly discussion post assignments let you boost your mark easy. Just be prepared to read.

Weekly lectures are PDF's, plus text book reading, plus weekly discussion posts that could involve reading articles or watching videos. But if you do the work the tests and papers arent difficult to get good grades on. If you slip on weekly discussion posts your grade will be affected more than you think!

Weekly assignments and discussion posts, her tests are a bit much - so many written questions but based off what we learn or on journal entries. Overall, I have enjoyed her

I LOVE Lorree! She is so helpful, gives you feedback for assignments (easy marks, please do so) and her class is so interesting. We had weekly journal assignments, 2 papers and one test. Do the work, ask her for feedback, don't be lazy and procrastinate and you will get an A !

She's funny, kind, and an excellent professor. Nice to disabled students. Easy tests, funny, engaging lectures, easy projects. She's a good professor and I would take her even if it's just for the jokes she tells!

Great Prof would recommend

One of the best profs at the school, the best lectures I've ever attended. Tests are not difficult and if you have trouble you clearly didn't attend class. Group project was involved so make sure you pick the right people, participation is worth a good portion so if you're the type of person who never says anything, prepare to lose at least 5%.

Lorree is great at explaining what it is she is looking for in assignments, plus she is very easy to approach. She's caring and understanding of our struggles as students, and tries as much as possible (in my opinion) to accommodate students and make student life simpler. Some might disagree (not sure why) but all in all I think she's great.

Lorree is very good at explaining what she expects from assignments she hands out, she is attainable outside of class, responds very quickly to emails, and her advice is always very insightful and helpful. All in all, I think she is great, plus she's funny.

If you put in the work it's an easy A. Lorree is hilarious and may seem a bit intimidating at first but she has the students best interests at heart. Make sure you submit your paper drafts early for some feedback, it helps a lot! Only issue is I wish the group project would be graded individually. I've taken two of her classes, I find her so funny I could listen to her talk forever. Her tests are also open book which makes test really easy. The only thing you need to worry about is your papers. For my first class I only had to do one paper.

Lorree has mixed reviews, but she is truly the best prof I've come across at Douglas College. I had her for 2 classes in my last semester, and she wants her students to succeed. Weekly journals (2-5 pgs each) as well as 3 research papers (4 pg minimum) and 2 exams (open book). If you put in the work and are engaged in lectures, it's an easy A.

Best and coolest professor I have ever had. I do not regret taking her class. As long as you attend the lectures, you can get an easy B or higher. Highly recommend.

Prof. Bogden is great at explaining course expectations. She's caring and tries her best to accommodate students. The group project grading could be more consistent, but overall she's a helpful instructor. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for exam prep.

Lorree is a Delight!! Show up to her lectures and you'll receive the answers to 85% of her exams, AND you get a cheat sheet for those exams. She does give a lot of papers to write, but if you're passionate about prison reform like she is, the workload won't feel as heavy. Lorree is very respectful and caring, if you need help, just ask her. :)

Easiest class to get an good grade in. All you gotta do is attend class and you're set. You are given both the questions and answers to test beforehand, & are allowed to bring in a cheat sheet for the test. All you have to do is show up for lectures, write down the questions, and show up for the tests. 100% would recommend. Amazing teacher

My absolute favourite prof at DC. I had her for Female Offender and it was the best class I've ever taken. If you are passionate about the topic, her lectures and the homework are engaging and rewarding. She gives great feedback, and is super accessible outside of class. She wants her students to succeed! Highly recommend.

Lorree is a great lecturer, every class is interesting and she clearly loves what she is teaching. A hard marker on papers but understanding and you can go speak to her, she allowed me to redo a paper. Exams allow a "cheat sheet", the questions and answers are given in class. But she's very opinionated, does not accept other views/belifs :")

This class has a group project, but if you have issues she is quite understanding. The questions on tests are given in class with their answers and you can bring a full cheat sheet paper. Talk to others in this class, if you miss a day she doesnt care but you need the q&a's for the exam from your classmates. Good interactive lively lectures!

Lorree can come off as harsh, but she is truly an insightful professor. She does have strong opinions on certain topics, so if you plan to disagree with her opinions, get ready to really prove your stance. If you keep up with readings, you will do fine in this course. Also note that she allows a full sheet of paper as a cheat sheet for her exams.

Lorreé is amazing; she's passionate about what she teaches, and you can feel that in both her lectures and how she supports her students. After taking her Corrections class, I can honestly say I gained a full new understanding and a significant learning experience.
