This guy looks like Kurt Cobain. You would never expect him to know as much about Lit. and poetry as he does. He is HILARIOUS! His class is also easy, just write your papers and get an A!

Very good teacher. I really suked at writing essays but he taught me how to do it. I'm very thankful to him. Am taking him again in ENC1102. Very easy class, just do everything on time. Have him for 2hr 45 min class but never got bored. Take him if you want to improve on essay writing skills.

This guy is overall a great teacher. CLEAR FUNNY INTERESTING! Sometimes he gets a little dramatic! He reminds me of Jack Black in the movie school of rock. I think he tries to shock the conscious of students minds to provoke thought. He is lame and cool at the same time. YOU WONT FALL ASLEEP!

Funny teacher, lotsa handouts (use them and you can get an easy A) Lays the knowledge out clearly, with random belgian beer comments here and there. Very mellow, very hard to piss off. Take the Linc course with him and Dr. Brooks in the fall if you can get a chance to, it's an awesome class.

He is sooo nice. He is funny as hell too. His comp. 2 class consist of 4 papers not hard at all he will go far and beyond to help you. Easy points. There are 6 quizzes but they are question like: how many people were in the car? Easy Easy. all the quizzes only have 3 questions on them. Super Easy.

he is a verrrry nice teacher, gives very straight forward tests and grades fairly, but if you really want to learn how to write effectively...he is not the right teacher!! sorry but it is a fact.

This class was an enlightening experience, although I walked into the class with doubts I quickly feel in love with it. He was a wonderful teacher who was willing to explain things that I was unable to understand. I am no longer afraid of English.

Great Teacher, not your typical approach, but a very welcomed fresh way to run a class. You have to be a complete moron to get below a C. Just show up and all will be good. Learned a lot too. Because of this class, I improved in my other writing classes I was taking at the same time. Take him, you won't regret it.

Holliday has a very weird first impression, he basically does not care what any one thinks about him. As long as you go to class and take all the notes, you will pass with an A.By the end of the semester you lean that even though he is scary lookin, he is a very nice guy, and very helpfultoward all his students...

Don't miss a day of class and don't slack, and you will learn tons and love every minute of it! He's cute in a scenester kind of way, but more than that he's younger and can easily relate and use language that would be inappropriate in an older prof. Constant reading and homework and papers every week, but plenty of chances to keep your grade up!++

I love Mr. Holliday. He is easygoing and tells funny jokes, but he's excellent at teaching and making the material interesting. I actually looked forward to going to class early in the MORNING during the SUMMER. No one was left out since he joked with everyone. If you want help, he'll be glad to "grade" papers before you turn them in. He's awesome!

Clay is a psycho....but very good educator. I graduated a few years ago but am just now finding this and had to add my 2 cents. Miss the office talks and philosophy club...TAKE HIS CLASSES if you want to open your mind and really learn.

Louis AKA Clay AKA Vanveen is a highly disturbed individual but a tolerable, usually interesting teacher. He will make helpful corrections to your rough drafts to for improving your final papers. Due to a preoccupation with sex he will give better grades for any sex related papers. A nice enough guy (seemingly) but with deep, dark issues.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Very interesting and funny. I'm a Journalism major, and I have learned to write a lot better. Very clear, and his assingments are very intellectual, and will change the way you view life. If you want to learn...take him.

LINC: Can I take him with me to UCF? Holliday is a teacher that actually has a passion for teaching which is priceless for students in transgression to graduate schools. I actually dropped the class the semester before because of work and scheduled all my class around his LINC course. Outstanding.

Where do I begin? Holliday is the craziest individual at Valencia!! He is awesome, his class is unlike any other. He's crazy, but he knows how to teach. He's always upbeat and is very helpful. Just complete the four major essays, go to class, and say you like "Sid Vicious" lol...he's great, take him!!

Kinda creepy, but all-around nice guy. Took Intro to Film and don't think it could have been easier. MAKE SURE YOU SHOW UP - only 2 absences are excused. Pretty understanding in general and pretty easy to understand as well. CAUTION: if you take Intro to Film you may see some graphic and/or gruesome films. If you can write well, you should do fine.

You have to take Holiday in anything you take at Valencia, he is the best teacher I have had in three different colleges. He makes everything in Literature and writing relevant to our age and understanding. Funny too.

I had Mr. Holliday for Summer B and it was a great class. He is organized, has each day planned out, and has clear expectations of each assignment. We got to watch great films in his class and had us write interesting essay topics. I really enjoyed it. TAKE HIS CLASS!

This was easily my favorite class.The teacher makes his expectations clear and teaches everything step-by-step.He's not like most teachers, but his methods are effective.With each essay (there are 4) a rough draft is turned in.He tells you what is wrong with your essay so that you can edit it and receive the highest grade your capable of achieving.

HE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR AT VALENCIA HANDS DOWN. I took him for both ENC COMP I and II. He only does essays and he grades the rough drafts for you so you can do good on the final paper. I was not good in writing or cared for english. However, he made it FUN, ENJOYABLE and a LIFETIME EXPERIENCE. Take him. Easy A guranteed.

Totally awesome guy and great teacher. Makes things clear from thee very beginning and is super helpful. He has a bit of an informal vocab when talking but that just makes him more approachable in my opinion. If you can't take some harmless teasing and jokes then perhaps not the best teacher for you.

He is quite funny, and great at his job! His reviews and rough drafts are amazing he really puts some effort back to there. But the thing is, he expects you to write 1300 words essays every time, hard to get A, B's and C's should not be a problem.

Professor Holliday is absolutely amazing and hilarious (seriously the funniest person I have ever met), although english can be boring and exhausting he gives plenty of time to do essays and only 4 of them! No tests or outside readings, IF YOU CAN TAKE PROFESSOR HOLLIDAY YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

I'm going to be brutally honest, he has an incredible sense of dark humor and it depends on you if that's something you're comfortable with or not. I will tell you this, he will be there for you and will give you little to no work. He is very flexible on grading, so you will be guaranteed to pass, but like I said, be prepared for degrading comments

Professor Holliday was hilarious. He makes passing comp so easy, hes a very easy grader. Dont take his class if youre sensitive because some of the jokes he makes are pretty dark haha. We had 4 papers total , and the final which was all super easy. I would reccomend him to anyone ! Hes an extremely easy A

He is a different professor, he is fun, you have to have thick skin if you want him, but he is a cool professor. it is so easy to get a good grade in his class, if you do the reading. He has very specific requirements, however, he gives you all the tools to succeed. You will laugh every single class.

He's kind of creepy, but super funny. No homework. No textbook. No reading. You write 4 essays the whole semester and all you do in class is break each essay down. You do almost all the writing in class. Super easy

The thing I appreciated the most about Professor Holliday is his flexibility with deadlines. He understands that life can get busy and will work with you! Not locking assignments is an example of this. The class time flies by with his filler jokes. Grades fairly.

Truly, one of the few professors I loved coming to he is hilarious and caring to deadlines only give 4 essays, lets us out of class early when there isn't much else to do and is very thorough with explaining what needs to be done. Little homework literally there is only essays and going over essay prompts. Im taking him for Comp 2 Spring semester.

I'm taking this class online and it's pretty straightforward. It's literally 4 essays and small assignments in between them. I would give him 5 stars but, lately, he hasn't been responding to my emails and hasn't posted new work in over a week. He accepts late work so that's pretty good.

Professor Holliday is fantastic. He is one of the best professors I have ever had. The assignments are very easy to understand and you can submit your work to him for feedback and corrections before the due date. I wish all of my professors were like him! If you get the chance, take his class!

Professor Holliday is a pretty chill professor. Throughout the semester we just had three essays (Illustrative, film analysis and research) with smaller assignments in between that would really help us with our essay. He does a take a while to grade assignments but other than that I highly recommend taking this class. Super easy!

Professor Holliday is a phenomenal teacher, my only regret is not interacting more in his class. He is hilarious and just a down to earth guy, he'll joke with you but never crosses the line. He will work with you and grade your essay drafts before the due date and tell you what to fix and how. Loved this teacher and if you have him ENJOY!

Professor Clark is one of the easiest professors I had. Even though I hate English as a whole but Professor Holliday makes it work. He have a lot of dad jokes but he is very clear on what he wants from you in your essays and he does give a lot of feedback after you complete your essays. Overall I give a 10/10. Very cool, and laid back.

I loved having him as an English Professor! The class has a total of 4 essays, but do not procrastinate and submit your rough draft to him for sure. He sends back your essay within a day or two with things you can fix to get it to that A grade. The topics are boring but easy. Hes there to help your grade, not bring it down. 100% would take it again

I just took him for the Summer Term and it was chill. First few weeks there were only two assignments per week. Then after that just one assignment a week due Saturday night. He gives good feedback to help you improve in future essays. Laidback when it came to late work. Barely any essays. The final exam was just a few short written questions.

I took this professor for my spring term and he was amazing. If you do all the work, you should be able to pass with an A. He's really lenient when it comes to late assignments and his classwork is easy to balance. 5/5

Took this class online, was a chill experience. Only 4 essays with smaller assignments to help pace it. Professor Holliday is super laid-back, gives great feedback, and is understanding with deadlines. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for prepping the essays!
