AWSOME TEACHER!!! so helpful, works with students out of the classroom for extra help. Does everything possible to pass the students. You just have to want to pass. I wish all teachers were like him!

I hate math more than anything, but Lou makes class as fun as a math class can be. He has a good sense of humor and jokes a lot, while still making sure that everyone understands the concepts from class. As long as you do the homework and review for the tests, Lou won't let you fail. One of the best teachers USM has.

Lou is more than willing to allow you to earn an A. He has multiple take home worksheets and has real life experience to help you out. He only teaches you what you need to know!! He has special assignments on excel that only give you points towards your grade and he will help you if needed. His class ends early most days and ends 2 weeks early

I've taken MAT 101, and MAT 120 with Lou. He is VERY clear, concise, and helpful. He will give you the tools necessary to receive an A. I can say even after taking 90 credits hours,even with not having much interest in math to begin with, Lou is the best instructor at USM, and makes a difficult subject understandable.

I took both MAT101 and MAT120 with Lou. He's an awesome teacher who doesn't take things too seriously and is willing to help anyone who asks. The work load in Stats is a bit heavy, but as long as you keep up with it, it's very eas to get an A! Awesome professor, and I'm sad to not have him anymore!

Very Helpful. 'Lou' is a great professor who cares about the material - not the filler. He often takes texts and phone calls from students, actively works in his field, and uses his real world experience to get the information across, dodging many of the clunky text sections in exchange for the important stuff.

I took MAT 101 with Louis. Louis is a wonderful professor. You can tell that he genuinely enjoys the material he is teaching, and it truly makes students more enthusiastic in return. I have done well in his course because he teaches in a very clear, funny, fair manner. I strongly suggest taking any class you can with him.

This is my second semester with Lou, absolutely on my list for best professor award! He has a genuine care for his students (including taking your phone calls & texts), and their performance. All his objectives are clear and concise, never any surprises. Take his class and I promise you will love every minute, and learn more than just math.

I dreaded statistics, as I am weak in math, but on day one Louis Neveux made what could have been a difficult, dry, and boring class interesting and fun with real world examples. He was organized, clear, and provided so many opportunities to succeed that a person almost had to choose to fail by not doing the work. I wish there were more like him!

Mr. Louis is the BEST professor I have at USM. His dedication was above and beyond any of other professors I have had. His attention to his students is amazing. He was very prompt and clear in answering my questions as well as patient when I didn't understand. He is passionate about STATS and creates real world problems that I can relate to.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this class. Mr. Neveux is tops! He reaches all levels and will make every effort to ensure learning and success take place. I took Lou's MAT101 in the fall and his Statistics class in the spring, they were my favorite classes. Lou is willing to help you and is excellent at making sure his students are prepared for exams. I was nervous going into this class coming from MAT009 after having a different teacher. If I could have Louis as my math teach from here on out, I would in a HEARTBEAT!! I LOVE LOU!! I recommend EVERYONE to take at least one class with him... you will not regret it.

Really fast paced class. I've always been bad at math but Lou is helpful & I also met w/a tutor multiple times. We flew through material w/a new section (& quiz) every class, 3 times/week, all only 1:05 long. No notes are allowed during exams. If you're doing well in class he'll let an absence slide. He's flexible about which class time you attend.

If this man could teach every math class I need, I would follow him all through my school career. This man is amazing. I HIGHLY suggest that if you need to take Statistics, you take it with Louis. No one else is going to help you succeed the way this man will and does. He also helped me chose a teacher for another math class. Absolutely love Lou :)

I started in MAT 9 with Lou. I benefited so greatly from his teaching that I took MAT 101 & 120 with him. He is very personable & knowledgeable. He goes above and beyond to help his students succeed. Teaching is Lou's second job. His real job is a statistician at a medical company. What he is teaching us he uses every day! Lou loves what he does and it's clear. If he wasn't having fun he wouldn't be here. Take his class, you will not regret it.

Literally the best teacher ever. I hated algebra in high school and failed it, but under Lou's teaching its now my favorite subject. Honestly, if I wasn't premed I would change my major to math in a heartbeat because of his class. Hes extremely dedicated to his students. Probably the best math professor I have ever had. I am terrible at math and have never had an easy time with it. Lou was so good at teaching and so helpful that I had no trouble doing well in his course. He is clear and thorough and also always willing to help if you need extra assistance.

Took his class last fall, and he still helps me with any math questions I have. Highly recommend taking this class - I still use most, if not all, of the concepts I learned in nearly all my other non-math courses. If you want a solid framework for algebra, take 101 with Lou. He always answers questions and never make you feel stupid for it.

He is an excellent professor. He teaches in a clear way and I learned a lot in this class; it was a great review for me. Students never got bored in this class because everyone loved participating. He always make sure that everyone is understanding the concepts and he accepts any question a student will have.

This Professor changed my outlook on math teachers, and math in general. Helps you feel confident about the topics and very helpful. Very entertaining and easy to stay focused during lectures. Attendance is mandatory of course, but has two classes to choose different time slots, makes for easy life scheduling.

Do not miss a class! You need to attend the lectures in order to get good notes for quizzes and tests. The professor does work hard for you, and is readily available for questions. I would recommend this professor for any stats class as he managed to make this topic interesting and class fun. I definitely learned a lot on this topic in his class!

I graduated with my undergrad in 2012. Math is my worst subject and I had to do an entire extra year of my undergrad because I couldn't pass it. Lou changed everything. He was helpful, insightful, caring, respectful, challenging, encouraging. His classes are not easy but he is there every step of the way. Truly one of the best!
