spent more time yelling at my classmates than teaching...

good teacher, easy class
Worst Chem Prof ever

The worst teacher I have ever had. Very unwilling to help students pass course.

Avoid her at all costs.

Ms. Aronne is indeed a picky grader, but her straight-forward teaching style justifies it.

She is a VERY clear teacher. She makes sure you understand everything before moving on and goes threw things step by step. Her tests are hard and she is a picky grader but if u go to class adnd do the hw..it isnt a very hard class.
She was always willing to extend an extra hand if someone needed help. My one and only complaint is she was hard to hear during lecture, and her notes could be a little jumbled at times.

i think im in love with her
wonderful professor. very helpful and easy to understand. do the work and you'll pass.
Awesome teacher
YAY! SHES GREAT

clear
She is always willing to help.
Very hard tests and boring attitude.
Very fun class, lots of good examples. Helps prepare for lab.
She was really willing to help and class wasn't too hard... a bit boring as is every other class you take... but overall, not at bad instructor
Good teacher, explains everything in depth with good examples. Tests are not that hard, and you really dont need a book, just notes from class.
Witch, but gives good examples in class and test are straight forward although a little tricky.
not a horrible teacher, if you want to work you can get a decent grade

Although she can be a little ****y at times, she is definitely there to help you learn. She makes sure everyone knows the material before moving on
awesome teacher, she made hard stuff really easy!
Good times in class!

Not the worlds most exciting class but, although the grading is rough (a major pain in the points), explanations for point deduction are good. Just... don't... drop... anything. Slightly short temper o_0
A very good teacher. In chem 6 she worked us through any problem we wanted, even problems almost exactly like the ones we would take at the end of class. She made chem 14 more fun that usual, knew how to lighten the mood. talked us through each lab, made everything very understandable, and was always available for help.
She has a lot of enthusiasm for the teaching the material. Always willing to help and very fair with grading.
Although the spelling of some words is confusing, she provides lots of examples that show a wide variety of situations.
Good teacher whos willing to help out with any questions that might arise, has a short temper
Very good teacher. Test are somewhat hard.
VERY GOOD TEACHER. TESTS ARE SOMEWHAT HARD. SHE GRADES USING PARSHEL POINTS.
She stands in front of the class and writes down equations... that is all that she is useful for. although it is wrong to say at behrend, Jircitano is a LOT better--he atleast explains more than where to put numbers in an equation. She neglected to teach my class many things that set us back a lot in chem 13.
Very helpful and nice. Unclear at times, writing on whiteboard unclear somtimes. Tests are challenging. Overall, very straight-forward.
Ms. Aronne is one of the best Chem teachers I've had in my student career. Very clear, and to the point. If you put in the time you will learn chemistry.
by far one of the best teachers i've ever had. very helpful. explains things very clearly and tells you what will be on the test. go to class and pay attention and you'll do fine.
If you attend class and do the homework problems and reviews you will be just fine. Her lectures are very clear and helpful.
Very unclear, and extremely nit picky with grading, expect automatic B's if you forget a couple of units.
Aronne always has entertaining lectures. Tests are tough but passable. If you go to class and take notes its not always enough you have to put in work outside of class but not impossible class. Very tough grader be sure to have all labels. Very good professor i would suggest taking her!
Very good professor, always willing to help!
Mrs. Aronne is a very clear and helpful professor and has no patience for goofing around in class. She will not hesitate to throw someone out. She assigns two "daily problems" every class to turn in, but also assigns practice homework from the text book. She does many in class examples to help reinforce the information learned. Highly recommended!
great teacher, wish i had her for lecture too
She was very clear in class, and did several demo shows, which helped a lot in understanding some concepts, and she will help with the DPs if you go to her office, he exams were tough though, but she always posts study guides before every exam
If you go to class, do the homework (which takes about 10 mins) and pay attention in class you'll do just fine! Great teacher!
Aronne is a great professor. She adds a little bit of humor to every class and if you ask for help, she does help you with no problem. She sometimes is a little bit cranky which is normal, but as long as you go above and beyond what is asked of you and don't talk during class she will respect you. I reccommend her to anyone taking chem 110.
Aronne is a great teacher, if you come to class you will do great! If you skip you will most likely do very poorly. She is very clear on what is on tests and gives you plenty of opportunities to practice the problems and make sure you're on track to do well on an exam. I would definitely recommend this teacher!
Lucianna Aronne is the best chemistry teacher hands down. Be careful with those daily problems though! She is a tough grader but it is worth it at the time of an exam.
AVOID. This professor has the biggest attitude ever. Sometimes when you ask for help, she gets upset.
She is extremely helpful which is good because it is a tough class. Highly highly recommend taking her, only ever needed the textbook for two of the daily problems, so save yourself a lot of money and dont bother getting it because shell explain everything and show all of the steps.
She is an awesome professor and I highly recommend if you want to actually learn what you are studying, she has clear presentations and is ready to help.
Great teacher. Very thorough lectures
She's amazing! She is very helpful with issues in and out of the class. If you feel you need extra help with chemistry I definitely recommend taking her Chem 108 course as well!
Mrs. Aronne is willing to help with whatever you may need. All you have to do is ask. She is very clear in all her presentations, notes, and examples. Doing her daily problems is an absolute MUST because they make up a lot of the grade for this class. Make sure you pay attention because everything she talks about is going to be on the exams.
It might be the class itself but Chem113 was so hard. She is super strict grader but very helpful in office hour.
The exams themselves weren't really all that difficult for me, but the daily homework really drained my grade. So if you take this class be prepared to put a lot of time into the homework problems. She is really accessible outside of class and really nice. Just be prepared to put a lot of time into the class.
She explains things clearly and if you're unsure she'll happily help you. You have to study for exams if you want to do well, she gives you everything you need to do well.
The difficulty of the material varied, but overall a decent class. Be prepared for a lot of homework and study prep for tests.
Great teacher!
I loved taking chem 110 with Ms. Aronne. She wants the students to succeed and is wants the class to participate. She offers a lot of examples and gives students time to work on example problems in class.
One of the best teachers I have in my current semester. She makes you work for your grade but is there to help you anytime you need. She offers another course for additional help called CHEM 108. It's one on one time with her and very helpful if you aren't sure how well you'll do. She is very respected and funny. She does not use textbooks
Does not always explain things in lecture throughly. However, she is very willing to help you if you ask her. Has zero tolerance for goofing around or talking during lectures.
If you put the work in to pass the class (and trust me, she'll know), she'll put in the work for you to help you pass. Do all the work she assigns you to do and go to class, then you should be good to get an A
Professor Aronne makes chemistry interesting. She is raw and keeps it real in class. She goes through a lot of examples in class but skips some of the background information behind calculations. She assigns daily problems which are a great way to check if you know the information. I feel confident in chemistry after completing this course.
Ms. Aronne is one of the most best teachers I've had yet, she is hardcore. You have to go to lecture to understand the material, never skip the daily problems, and take Chem 108 to help better understand the material. She's very helpful but will make you work for your grade.
Treat each daily problem like a test and check with as many people as you can; if you do well on the DP's the tests are no surprise. Make sure to go over EVERY EXAMPLE and DP before each exam and you'll do fine. Best of Luck.
10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone taking chem 110. I had to drop chem 110 and retook it with her and she made everything so much clearer than my previous professor. I recommend taking chem 108 with this class, it gives you another chance to work with her. She cares about your grade as long as you do but also doesn't baby you.
I took her last spring along with chem 108 and did not pass either but I retook her for chem 110 this fall and did SO MUCH better than the first time. Pay attention in lecture, do the daily problems to help you learn but also make sure to check them with other people since they are basically free points and use the reviews she gives you to study.
Good teacher, very harsh grader
Love her! I would change my major just to take more of her classes! Made a subject I hated into one that I loved. Super easy to go to her office ANYTIME to ask questions and is always there. Super willing to even go over your homework and tell you if you are correct or not if you just go to her office!
Aronne is an excellent professor. I did not take any AP chemistry classes in high school and still found the material easy to understand and learn. If you take good notes in class and pay attention it should be an easy A. The exams are fair and not too challenging. I highly recommend taking this class with her.
Grades tough. All daily problems add up to a full test grade so use that to your advantage.
Taking Chem 111 this semester was a nightmare because none of our labs were graded until the last day grades could be submitted. No communication all semester. Very hard to keep turning in lab reports when you have no idea how you are doing. I'm sure she is nice, but my experience in the course was not favorable. Labs are not hard though.
never gonna get an 4.0
I really appreciate Ms. Aronne for her caring nature, and her lectures are awesome! However, I've had a tough time with the lab, mainly because some concepts from Chem 112 don't fully align with the lab calculations. I'd recommend attending tutoring and office hours if you're in her lab.
One of the best professors here. Would recommend switching to her.
Just pay attention to lectures and you pass without a doubt. Definitely take her
Daily problems every lecture, but they only add to study materials for tests. Recitation is a blessing and she will help with anything you ask, but she does fly off the handle occasionally in class; Only, however, because of student behavior. Take her if you want an okay grade and a great understanding of the subject.
