I took her class on-line and loved it! She didn't always respond in a timely fashion, but she was very helpful. The point of the class is to learn more about yourself and what direction you want head in for a career. I found all of the discussions fun! The assignments and tests are fairly easy.

Great Professor; Extremely helpful; Wonderful teaching- held my interest. So interested in students gives her home number out and is available every day for students, even Saturdays. Has a teaching style that will keep you engaged. Also took her on line and was happy with this. Very clear in expectations.

One of the best professors I have ever had. She will go the extra mile for you. She is always on time, and stays after to tutor anyone who needs help. One of the best teacher ever, i took this class on line and it was really easy cause you only have to do some very easy assignments and take the midterm and final which are becased on what you read on the book.

In my opinion this is one of the best professors I have had. She usually arrives at 7:30 for an 8 AM class in case anyone needs to talk to her. She is very prepared and writes the notes on the board. Very organized. She teaches in a way that holds your interest and seems to put great effort into her classes. One of the best professors at SFC.

Professor goes out of her way to help you. She comes out to the volunteer site, and even came in on Saturday for a help session as I had missed several classes. This is a great class as it allows you to volunteer in your field. Class attendance is not mandatory, but you must meet with Dr. Marrero if you do not attend class. Awesome prof!

Best prof I ever had. I took it over the internet and the course was laid out in such an organized way. There was a navigation folder and lessons for each week. She made sure it was personal through the discussion board and the discussions were life changing. I never got as much out of or participated as much in live classes as I did in this class

This was best class Ive ever taken. Read negative comment below and dude u would have to have made no effort to say u were on your own. Its a practi****and prof was there every week in case anyone needed direction even though she didn't have to be and in office, gave home phone number out and all you had to do was turn in your work at the end.

I just started taking this class and I love it. The first day Dr. Marrero (who is super, super hot btw)gave us a motivational speech that made all of us sit up and take college more seriously. The second class was even more interesting as she combined media with examples of diferent kinds of intelligence and taught us to use our style and assets.

Got that out of the way- now she is the best teach I ever experienced. she is organized-know all the assignments the first day, interesting, and makes everything relevant to your lives so you see how learning the material can help you. Took this class Spring A and loved it. The prof is great and her course is very easy to navigate. Her on line course has more content and interesting discussions than most in SDI dept, which are very high school. Dr. Marrero's course makes you think w inspirational quotes, lessons w more content - not just spitting out the chapters. Best prof here!

Prof was organized, got work back within a day, answered questions within hours (is she always on line), kept office hrs, easy to reach (even gave home #), and course changed my life. She teaches well and is really nice. You probably won't use the textbook at all; copy everything she writes on the board and you'll have all the information you need for the tests (and you can use your notes for the tests.)

Very easy class. Notes from the board are all you need. There's a little bit of public speaking involved, but she grades pretty leniently. She gives tons of extra credit for little or no work. Seems to genuinely care about her students.

SLS1101 is a college success class that talks more about how you should live your life as a whole rather than giving tips on how to pass classes. I went in expecting it to be like a study skills course but it's more about how to think in a culturally diverse way.

Dr marrero had almost perfect attendance because we were all so interested in her class. This was true even though there was no mandatory fail if no attendance. I have very mixed feelings about Professor Marrero. On one hand, she genuinely is a kind and caring professor. On the other hand, she boasts and comes off slightly condescending at times. If you have to take SLS, take her. But make sure you pick a time where you will actually make it to class. Attendance is a huge part of your grade. Overall, easy.

She is a great professor! She is upfront with you and will tell you exactly how to get an A in the class. Although attendance isn't mandatory, if you don't miss 3 classes, you get extra credit. On the other hand, if you miss more than 3 it's 1 point of your overall grade per-miss. It is semi-fun and informative, easy A.

This class was a easy class to pass but it had good reading material and the discussions were interesting. I enjoyed this class and the topics we had to write about, it related to my life and helped me improve life skills for things like the work force and relationship skills.
