She's not very clear on what she wants on assignments. On days there is quiz she'll talk up until that last 10 minutes of class and then make you take a 15 question quiz in less than 10 minutes. She also has the tendency to make very rude remarks to her students. I recommend taking this class at a community college.

Hands down the worst professor I have ever had. She is very rude to students, her grading is much stricter than her rubrics, she is very bad at posting grades online, and she is very poor at explaining the subject material. She gets very angry when students have questions on class topics. If you can take BUS203 somewhere else, do it.

Just finished her BUS 203 Class - She's extremely rude to students, very disrespectful -extremely tough grader (its a grammar class) -illegible writing on remarks of papers -outdated no electronics policy -makes you come outside of class to pick up your work save your time and take at a CC. shes a textbook example of a terrible professor.

Grades on many things, and is extremely clear about what to include. If you deviate slightly from how she wants the paper, expect the grade to drop drastically. She is also extremely detail oriented, every little piece of grammar and punctuation has to be flawless to get her famous 99.5%.

I have never met a more degrading and unsympathetic professor in my life. Her grading is very inconsistent and no matter how detailed and careful you are, she will ALWAYS find something wrong. As a warning, she also frequently showcases students' work on the projector to show "what NOT to do."

Do not take this professor, take it online at a JC. She's a crazy tough garder-will give you an F on any assigments for 1 incorrect punctuation. She's wishy washy with how she wants things done and she literally will tell you you're work is "garbage" in front of the class. She enjoys making students feel stupid.

With respect to the professor, I'm not sure how she became a professor for a college writing course. I'm saying this because her prompts for her essays are extremely vague and difficult to understand and so is her feedback. Because her prompts are vague you will miss things and she will mark you down for it, even if it wasn't mentioned. Be ready!

This is the worst professor Ive ever had. She is so mean. I told her the first day of class that I love writing, After I turned in my first assignment she told me for someone who loves writing my work is poor. She gave me zeros on the essays that I turned in because of grammatical errors. She is not caring or understanding at all.

She is so strict about every comma and will give you 0s on assignments that you turn in even if you follow the rubric. I HATE this professor with a burning passion. She is the rudest, most stuck up person ever. She prides herself on failing her students as no one has ever gotten a 100% on an essay before, and she brags about it. I can't believe a person like her is working in the education system. She should work at the DMV with similar people, bitter and cold.

She is terrible!!! She didnt even read any of my papers and she failed them. How I know? She would make comments on things that werent even about my paper. Me and my friends paper were equally as good. He passed with an A. I failed with C-. When I tried emailing her and I showed proof. She said that it wasnt her problem.

Rate my professor needs to give an option to give negative scores, because she deserves -100. Im honestly baffled at how she became a professor. The lectures are like 3 hours long, shes rude, and give awful feedback. How are students supposed to improve if their is no room to improve? Her class made me change my major. I've had my fair share of bad instructors, but this one takes the cake. The prompts are so simple, but it's impossible to please this professor no matter what you do. Save yourself and avoid this professor.

Incredibly tough grading, she is adamant in wanting you to account for every possible perspective when doing writing assignments. The format to follow is in multiple places and is difficult to piece together. Feedback is lackluster only circling and not correcting what is wanted from her. She is knowledgeable but wouldn't take her course again.

Professor Matiash can teach decently; my problem with her is how she grades. When she grades your paper and gives you feedback, most of the time, you don't know why you got it wrong. Sometimes it's because you don't have enough details (the prompt doesn't tell you), or she thinks you need more or disagrees with your point. Very tough.

You'll feel frustrated because your assignments are not to her ever changing standards, making it an automatic failure. You are better off taking this course with LITERALLY any other professor. STAY AWAY!

Wow. She is not afraid to let you know that you are not good at writing. It is a tough class but she is straight forward, maybe a little to honest at times. But she is going to tell you everything that you messed up on and it's her way or the highway.

The worst professor on campus. Absolutely cold-hearted and rude, has terrible grading criteria that she doesn't even follow, and makes the easiest concepts so difficult to understand. It's a writing class that's a coin flip whether you pass or not due to her attitude. CSUSM doesn't even have other professors to teach BUS 203 yet, so good luck lol.

Her whole class is opinion-based. It's either her way or no way. Nearly every class has a test so you have to attend. If you make an error in class, she will call you out and make you feel bad about yourself. She's not just a bad teacher but not a great person

I am begging you guys not to take this class.. it's that bad. Since the first day of class she has always been rude to us by making sarcastic remarks and picking/insulting students instead of actually being a teacher. She briefly explains something but then gets mad at the entire class for not being able to remember it, Her temper is scary it is like she wakes up mad at the world and takes it out of her students. My grade dropped from 89% to 50% in November for an assignment I had done Avoid this professor at all cost.

Easily one of the worst professors I've had throughout my entire academic career. Couldn't show up to the first day of school because of a serious family emergency and before I could even explain myself her first words and I quote were "get out of my classroom, you've missed too much" ON THE FIRST DAY. Overall a terrible professor and experience.

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. I read these reviews and thought it would be fine. It wasn't. She is incredibly rude and will yell at her students. She can't hear and will assume you said the answer wrong and criticize you for it. She cold calls and will go back and forth with you forever if you don't get it right off the bat. I am in my 4th year of school, and Ludmila is BY FAR the worst professor I've ever had. She is mean and unhelpful. Her lectures consist of a million bits of information that you can't find anywhere on Canvas. She will not hesitate to give F's on papers; she literally gave me a 30% on my first paper, and I get all A's and B's.

She is insufferable and brutal. Any criticism will be made in a way that makes you feel stupid and belittled, and will often make you question if you even know anything about the English language. She also creates an uncomfortable environment for those who struggle with English as their second language, and make you feel stupid.

Although her ratings are horrible, I genuinely believed people were exaggerating. NO. She expects "perfect grammar" which 8/10 times feels suggestive. If English is not your first language, you will not succeed. She is confusing, but in her mind it makes sense, so the other 40+ people in the room are wrong. She is outdated, good luck

Does not encourage students to learn with how she acts. I'm an A student and its looking like I will barely get a C in this class. Horrible professor.
