Really enjoyed her class. Accent is a little strong but not too bad. Her tests and quizzes are easy as long as you study. Homework pretty much every day but its very easy and quick. I recommend taking her if you can get her.

Class is very easy. She gives quizzes often but most are just common sense especially if you have been attending class. Tests are the same way. She has an accent that gets hard to understand but I would recommend taking this class if you are an education major especially! Easy A as long as you put in at least some effort!

She was a great teacher! The test were easy, and she provided study guides that actually helped! The quizes are very simple and help your grade A LOT, as well as the home work! She lets students make up HW, quizes, and test! She honestly wants her students to succeed! I recommend taking her class!!

Absolutely amazing. The sweetest lady you will ever meet, and will do anything to help you understand the material. She has a strong accent but you pay attention there should be no problem understanding the material. You do not need a book for her class nor does she penalize you for being absent

By far the best Math teacher I have meet. I walked in struggling and she was willing to help until i was able to bring my grade from a D to an B. quiz every tuesday two test and a final. she will let you drop the lowest test. I wish she I could choose her again. If you have the will she will show you the way.

She can have a confusing way of explaining things, but not enough to keep you from learning the material. Works through problems in baby steps. Pretty easy weekly quizzes. Study study study for tests! Gives many opportunities to get an A. Need the MML access code, but didn't use the online text book at all.

BEST TEACHER EVER! i came into the class scared and even got a really bad grade on the 1st exam but i managed to get a 100 in the class. She gives SOO many extra credit opportunities and is super helpful. Take her if you can and ignore the negative feedbacks. she's such a sweet lady.

She may not seem so at the beginning, but she's reeeeeally really nice. She'll do anything to help you achieve a better grade and is very helpful too. Tests are exactly like the study guide, so you'll do well if you actually study for them! Take her!

Sweetest lady ever. I was scared about the accent because of her reviews, but honestly it's barely even noticeable. MyMathLab homeworks range from 15-25 questions, she goes over the stuff before the quizzes, tests aren't too hard if you study for them, and she drops the lowest quiz grade. I HATE math but I love this class!

WARNING: if you have trouble understand accents, don't take this class. Besides that, she is a VERY kind and helpful professor. Willing to slow down or show more examples if you ask. MyMathLab is used for good practice, as well as a lot of extra credit assignments and studguides for the tests. Quizzes are easy if you take good notesfollow along

She's a really sweet woman and her class is really easy once you start understanding her accent. She assigns a lot of homework on Mymathlab, but usually it's only 20 questions. She offers multiple chances at extra credit, and is really good at explaining tough subjects. Would totally recommend her if you aren't good at math like me.

I think she was an excellent teacher. The pace that she followed was just right. You never felt like she was flying through material. After taking calculus twice before, i finally have a handle on whats going on. Uses Launchpad for HW assignments which she does give a lot but the due dates are fair. She definitely wants the class to be prepared.

The Homework she gives is online, and if reviewed it will help you on her tests, and expect a quiz every 2 weeks, and they weigh as much as the tests. She reviews examples of what is being learned so that you can better understand the material. Just study and do the hw and you will do well.

She does have a bit of a Russian/Latvian accent, but it's really easy to understand her. On quizzes and tests, you'll get at least half credit so long as you try. She actually wants you to learn and she always try to make her schedule open for you or at least gives you good material to study. She's funny in an awkward way, too.

For Calculus 1, she's a good professor. Her accent is easy to get use to, and her class wasn't that hard. Tests were fair and quizzes were easy. Overall if you put in the effort to understand the material and go to class, you'll be fine.

Overall, this professor is a pretty good professor. As long as you can keep up with your lengthy list of course objectives for the week, you'll do fine. With that being said, make sure you don't fall behind. She gives a couple of worksheets that count as extra credit towards your final, DO THEM! Trust me, it helps. I got 7 extra points on my final.

I loved this professor. She is caring and understanding to students that actually show up to class and try. She is available outside of class and responds to emails. Attendance is not required, but come on people, it's a Calc class. If you don't show up, you won't do well on quizzes, which are weighted the same as the test category. Great teacher!

This class was extremely easy. It is an actual class, but everything we did was on an online program. You mostly learn on the program, but she'll try to help you. She's doesn't respond to emails, but she is very nice lady. Almost half your grade is just completing the actual program, it's an easy A. Do the mid-term and final exam review.

Ms O was a great teacher. Daily Classwork is graded more on completion than accuracy. They are meant to give you an opportunity to practice. She uses what is wrong to know what to go over again. Daily work reinforces ALEKS software leasons if youre on track. She does everything she can to help us succeed. I cant wait to take my next class with her!

She is a good teacher that works with you. She is willing to help if you need it and gives good extra credit opportunities.

Great professor. Math is difficult, so dont be naive and think you will get an A just for showing up. If you do the homework, you should be fine. She is an excellent professor.

There is a lot of material in this class, so she isn't able to teach everything in class. Although the online program ALEKS, made it super easy. Do all the ALEKS homework and come to class to get credit for the day and you can get a good grade. She is also super nice. 8/10

Very understanding teacher who looks out for her students,I would take her again due to how much she tries to help the students. My only problem with her was that most of our 1 hour and 40 minute lectures would be spent working on one problem or her trying to explain a concept in a very odd way. gives a good bit of extra credit with quiz. not bad

I really love this wonderful Russian professor. She is extremely knowledgable, I would say a MASTER of mathematics. She will treat you as professional engineers that should already know the material, which makes you stay focused and on top of HW. I have come from Math Support after completing my Army service... If I can do it, anyone can do it.

Taking this calculus class fully online and during the summer was not easy. She seems very caring and works with her students. When answering questions you may be intimidated but overall not a hard class do the homework and show up for lecture and you should be ok. Also has an accent it is not hard to understand her though

I loved her and the class! She is so kind and caring. You do get a good amount of homework on Aleks, but it's not too hard, because she goes over it in the class lectures. If you have a question or need further help, she will help you! The more homework, the more practice for the exams, and the higher chance of ending with a good grade!

I had Professor Ludmila for my Algebra class. And then Calculus. She is the best Math Professor I've ever had. The material is clear, she know how to teach and make you understand the material altough Calculus is a very difficult class. In addition, you can clearly see that she wants us to be successful in her class. Excellent Teacher!

Great professor! Calculus is not an easy subject which may be the main indicator of this class's difficulty, not the professor. She does everything she can to ensure her students understand the material. She is accessible during office hours and WILL guide you step-by-step over any equations you may be dealing with. 10/10. She's hilarious as well.

Sweat but aggressive Professor at the same time. Very hard to understand. due to ALEK you will be okay. Just do your assignments on online and attend the class even you dont understand. If your not a math person I recommend you not too take her. You just basically teaching yourself that this point.

Best Math Professor I've ever had, she truly wants you to pass her class. She is very generous with partial credit and goes over each test so you can understand your mistakes. Make sure you actually do the homework, the practice is imperative for success, if you can't finish by the deadline she is usually very lenient in extending them to help you.

She is a very kind and helpful professor who wants students to learn. Her accent at first is a tad bit hard to understand but you eventually get over that. Her classes are slightly more self taught as ALEKS are a good focus on learning but if you do the homework and review (review and tests are very similar) you will be perfect.

Professor Orlova cares about her students and about teaching Calculus. But her class is by no means easy. There is ALOT of homework, coupled with 3 tests,final, along with quizzes every week. We learned something new up until the last day of class. Her class is not something you can coast through. But she works hard to help every student pass.

She was a great professor :) I liked her a lot. There was a 15 min quiz every week, super easy. 3 tests plus the final. Study the assignments you do in class and practice practice practice, calculus is all about doing the same problem over and over again.

She is an awesome professor! Tests are very easy, and if you go to every lecture, and actually practice the daily assignments, you'll get an easy A!! She works very hard for students to pass, and is very understanding. Take her and you'll learn a lot! I wish I could take her for calc 2.

Professor O has been the best math teacher I have had. She is dedicated to helping you pass. Every week, there is a very short quiz on the material, super easy. The tests basically just look like the quizzes with different numbers. Attendance matters so show up to class! She notices those that put in the effort to pass and those that don't.

Great Professor. Class is straight forward. She does a good job explaining all scenarios for each problem. More than willing to go back and explain problems in detail. There is a lot of homework that is not taken as a completion grade, but she compensates for that by giving extra credit on all tests and quizzes. She is also a fair grader.

Beside getting use to the accent, Dr. O was an amazing professor. She explains topics well and will go back over them when asked too. Quizzes are weekly but only are few questions, and test are basically reworded quizzes. 10/10, would take again.

She is AMAZING! Must take her bc she cares about the students and provides extra material on D2L which is extremely helpful. Reasonable homework, weekly quizzes, and 4 tests given. Write-in notes provided before each class which help you to focus on lectures. Take her if you can! Goes above and beyond for students to pass but they must study.

I hadn't taken Calculus in 10 years...and got a B+. Prof. O' has a bit of rigor to her class, but nothing is super difficult. Attendance is an extra grade. Quizzes and Tests come directly from Classroom assignment material covered. She is very caring, and extremely forgiving when grading...(did you do it right vs. correct answer)

TAKE HER. Lots of work in class, but it was so helpful. Her tests are easy and straightforward. I got over a 100 in the class and she is such a nice woman. I love her and wish I could take her for the rest of my math classes.

Email her if you need her. From what I've heard, other math teachers just give you lectures while Professor Orlova gives you worksheets in class. She goes over them with you as a class. She does have an accent and she can go a bit fast but ALEKS fills in the gaps. You don't need to print anything just ask her for the assignment in class.

Incoming freshmen of next year, don't take her class you want to be frustrated with her. This class is extremely accelerated. She thinks everyone is just as smart as her. You will blow through 7 topics in 10 minutes. She also says, "It shouldn't take you more than 3 seconds to solve this problem" which is absolute BS.

Ms. O was a great teacher, she can be hard on you but its for your benefit. She has an accent but shes quite easy to understand. If you do the homework you can pass every test with a 90+. Would defintily take her again if I had to.

Very amazing professor. She teaches fast but anything you may not understand from her, ALEKS will fill in. Do not be afraid to ask questions. I had a really rough year but emailed her and she was very responsive and understanding. As long as you are communicating your struggles and showing her you are putting in the work, she will help you.

Love her! She always offers help outside of class and is very understanding (I suffer from a panic disorder that caused me to reschedule a few quizzes). The only downside is that she teaches very fast and has a thick Eastern European accent, but once you get used to it it's not a big deal. Make sure if you miss class you learn the topics though!

Tests and quizzes are always easier than homework and classwork. Heavy accent, and she teaches really fast, so do your best not to get behind. Very sweet and always available for help outside class! She is very encouraging, especially toward students who are obviously trying to do well in the class. Would take her for calc 2 if she was teaching it!

Lots of work through ALEKS, unlimited attempts on review. 4 tests & final, all on paper. You do need access to a printer, as you need to print your own worksheets for class. (Or you can use the PDF to follow along on.) Chill and sweet, if you come to class & try. (Tough love if you're on your phone, or not in class.) Great with accommodations!

Amazing professor. All homework is on ALEXS and she gives study guides on it too. There is a good amount of homework and four knowledge checks along the way.

Professor was really nice, was really fast in her lectures, barely did explanations, but provided lots of questions, her tests are an exact copy of the study guides she provides.

TAKE HER FOR CALC1!! This prof cares about her students passing, available during office hours for help, gives advice, is straight up and blunt which helps. She gets to the point, asks if we understand before moving on, explains concepts beautifully. You really cannot go wrong with her class. Talk to her, be friendly ask questions and you'll pass.

Dr. O is a wonderful Calc | Professor. She is amazing and offers lots of help to her students. She can be fast at times but will stop and answer any and all questions if you have one. She is very respectful and kind to her students. I highly recommend her if you are feeling anxious about Calc |. With her guidance, I was able to pass. She is AMAZING

Somethings to get out of the way, yes professor Orlova has a slight accent. Yes, the lectures can be fast paced sometimes. But all in all, she's a good professor. She explains the concepts pretty well and the school offers a lot of support in Student Instructors and tutors. Please do expect to spend at least 5 hrs per week (at the least) on Calc

Russian Accent, but she does a great job conveying a course with almost a 30% DFW rate. Quizzes every week, but they serve you good. Think of them as "Checkpoints." She wants to see you pass, but you have to want to pass. The only thing hard about this course is the content Itself.

Overall, a good professor, and she is trying to get you to understand the material. I took her for the Summer semester in precalculus, and this was the easiest math class I had ever taken. You get a study guide that looks similar to the test, but make sure to do the assigned work and show up to class, and you will do well.

Overall in my opinion she was a solid professor, and did help me alot throughout the course. Even though I didn't get the grade I wanted, I feel like a lot of that had to do with my bad skills of deriving fractions. She wants you to succeed, and is willing to slow down her lectures if the class is struggling, would recommend taking her!

This professor initially seemed stern and tough, but she is truly a caring person. She just wants all of her students to truly learn so they may prosper in their future careers. Tests are straight foward with ample study time. She has a slight accent but it does not impede in the comprehending of her lectures. Amazing teacher, I would recommend.

Prof. Orlova-Shokry explains Calculus clearly, and often in multiple ways (ex. graphical, algebraic, trigonometric identities). She also takes the time to show where formulas come from, which is very helpful even if the tests don't require that knowledge. She is compassionate towards students and willing to slow down when people are struggling.
