I took him for BSC2085 and BSC2086. He is great. He will review before every exam and allows you to record his reviews. He will also give you extra credit to catch up. I A'ced both his classes.

This Professor is AMAZING! You HAVE to study in order to pass, but he gives you all the info you need. He's funny, nice, and understanding. His powerpoints are extreamly helpful so know them like the back of your hand, and you should be good. You need to go over the book material too though, at least once. Ladiste is a great professor. He teaches his students and EXPLAIN EVERYTHING WITH DETAILS. He also gives great examples. But the only thing i disliked was the power point presentation. Don't print anything, use it as a guide and read the book. This is the way you WILL pass. Make sure you understand the book and make marks of things he repeats.

Labiste is awesome. The following words say it all: curved the midterm. I went from a 70.5 to an 81 on the midterm. He's really nice and the work isn't so bad. Google helps.

I took his for BSC2086L online and it was very easy. You need to do quizzes, exams, and assignments, but they are very easy. The book did not help me at all, I had to use the textbook and the internet to find some of the answers... I got a B because I didn't really study for the final and it was worth 26% of your grade.

Very nice professor fairly easy class. All you have to do is print the outlines. he gives test reviews the class before the test which are very very helpful pay close attention. There are only tests and online assignments. Great class i wish he was teaching bsc2086 this summer so i could have taken him.

Very simply put, AWESOME! No complaints. Not an easy class, need to study. Read the chapters and it will help you understand everything for the test. Read according to his outline and you'll be fine.

I took this class as a prerequisite to apply for my masters at UF. I have seen a LOT of professors... This guy... he is far too good. He keeps you interested on the subject, explains clearly and finds fun ways to teach the material. Tests are FAIR... he doesn't want to trick you, he wants everyone to get an A and to learn. A ton of work online. Very Hard Midterm 120 Questions no help for preparation. Too much material 6 modules. Final was easier. No extra credit. Professor not inclined to help students. Positive aspect- The deadline for homework & Quizzes is at the end of the term. If you take him don't leave the homework for last it's too much to get done in a week.

I took professor Labiste for both of my Anatomy Labs bsc2085l & bsc2086l he has been the best professor ever his class is easy if you study the notes and read he is very helpful and cares for his students. I just wish he would teach Microbiology so I could take him again. BEST SCIENCE PROFESSOR I EVER HAD!!

Dr. Labiste is a exelent professor, very passionate whit anatomy, for slakers of course every professor that doesn't give the grade for free is horrible professor. Because him I learn a lot of this science course.

Class is at your own pace. Except dates for midterm and final. Work is due at end of course. Quizzes 2 attempts. Do the HW for points don't wait. Proctored Mid-term and Final. He warns you at the beginning HW is 20% use it. I think you have to be consistent don't slack or you will not do well.

This class was not easy at all you have to study for him a lot and you have homework online which could help you at the end its 20% of your grade. Test are not easy make sure you know the chapters that he will test you on. Read the chapters before going to class. Test have about 50 questions sometimes adds 4-5 questions as extra credit. BE READY.

I recommend him. He's good. He explain it slowly and again if you ask. He's funny too. One of the best A&P 2 ever at the North Campus. But you have to study for his exams hard; they'll be based on the chapters covered.

I just finished taking this professor in a 6 week summer course. Yes, it was hard. Yes, you have to study, BUT this professor makes learning fun and has a unique way of explaining the difficult material! If you want to learn, take him! AMAZING!

Honestly this class in general is difficult but Labiste DEF helps u in every possible way to ensure you pass.At the beginning of the semester he opens up I think it's 15 assignments to be completed by the end of the semester(worth 150 pts)and w.e you lacked on test etc he applies those pts to ensure you pass! DEF worth taking him.

I am currently take ONLINE Lab for A&P2. I RECOMMEND this teacher and this class.I would say hes not exactly crystal clear on logging in, but after you figure it out you know exactly what you need to pass. There are 2 proctored tests. The rest is online homework and quizes with multiple attemps. Study the quiz, because that is generally the test.

The best professor ever, i taking him again for bsc2086 . The has so much patience to teach everyone. I love his class he make it so easy, you will pass although you get "f" on all of his test. there are 5 test including the final but if you read the book and the outlines he gaves you will pass all of them. LL virtual class straight 2 the point, instructions very clear. Don't wait until the last minute 2 do M Asgmts, I didn't finish. I waited & honestly 4got about it. It hurts because I worked hard all semester. Instead of an A, I might get a B or C. I will never make this mistake again. Lesson learned. Read a little daily. Start on your M Asgmts now.

Grading criteria is very clear cut with points assigned for homework to do at your own pace due by the end of the semester. Much of his slides are included in the exams and questions usually similar to those on connect. He cares about what you learn but is strict with deadlines (Fair as they are given to you 1st day of class). All in all - Great.

Labiste is a great teacher. He knows his material. He provides his notes online so you can sit back in class and just listen. YOU NEED TO STUDY THE BOOK AND HIS NOTES TO PASS. Very straightforward. Best lab teacher ever! Lab is fun. He teaches for the first half and then lets you play with the models to review all semester long. His midterm and final are very easy if you know what's going on. Real stickler for phones and will deduct points if he sees you on it. Be on time and turn in your work and he will love you.

His class for the most part, is easy. You go to the lab and you look at the models and memorize their designs. The only difficulty is that he gives a lot of homework that is night impossible to finish in the last moment. The midterm and final are just basic "which of the following is x" questions.

He gives a lot of work but its relatively easy. Lectures are long with a lot of information that you wont be tested on. He's a cool guy that cares about your outcome.

His lectures consist of powerpoints which he has available online as well, very helpful for exams. He gives real life example. Not a difficult class, it's actually pretty fun but very few extra credits. You will have to study hard to pass.

This professor is truly the best, he makes you learn things so well. His real life examples and connections to things will make you remember things. He gives some extra credit here and there. His exams are 50-60 questions and has online assignments as HW due at the end of semester. He never misses class EVER! He hates when people are late!!

The only thing I didn't enjoy about his class was how slow it went and how we had to cram at the end, hopefully he plans his future classes a little bit better!

He is such a sweetheart. He makes the class incredibly fun to learn in and doesn't do any more exams besides the midterm and final. He does rely heavily on the online connect assignments, but if you have the textbook, they're super easy. He also does want you to do a group project with who you sit with in the class, so beware. He's nice and funny. This is not a "slack class" and you need to study to pass. Not easy at all. Sometimes he goes a little fast and sometimes things are not clear. You kind of need to be an independent learner. The best advice I could give you is to READ THE TEXTBOOK. The whole chapter. Helps a lot! I recommend him if you're a dedicated learner.

Hes an amazing teacher. I actually took him again for BSC2086 and Lab. Hes straight forward & is always willing to help you. All you have to do is ask. He does give out a lot of HW & you have to be willing to do the work but you can pass. Attendance is a must and make sure to not have you phone out because he will take points off.

Anatomy is not an easy class but Professor Labiste made anatomy one of the best classes I've taken at MDC. He is very knowledgeable and cares about his students. His lectures are AMAZING but you have to study. If you read the book and complete the connect assignments you will pass. I suggest to also take lab with him. Overall, GREAT PROFESSOR!

I took this professor for Bsc2086 & Bsc2086L online. This class was not easy whatsoever. He does NOT accept late assignments. If you dont study, you wont pass. Do all your assignments, do well on the weekly quizzes, and there is a midterm and final. Each is worth 20% of your grade. He is easily accessible responds to emails quickly.

No need for the lab book. You won't need it. Just study the powerpoints and you'll be more than okay. You do need access to Mastering bc you need the diagrams. For the tests, make sure you review the material presented on all of the quizzes and the Powerpoints. Thoroughly reivew quizzes & powerpoints and you should get an A. Would def. retake him.

A&P is a hard subject, this is definitely not a class for slackers, but Professor Labiste does an amazing job at helping you understand the material. His lectures are clear and I especially like how we review for each lecture test (think verbal study guides). The study guide for lab is exactly like tests. A year after taking him I come back to praise this professor. The class is not easy and you do have to study but... If you pay attention and put in work you will be glad when you get to nursing school. It was an online class so the material was pretty much learn on your own. I took him for lab an lecture and the lab portion was definitely easier and more straightforward. Midterm and final were taken mostly from the quizzes. It isn't an easy class but I passed with a B in lecture and A in lab.

I think A&P 1 is too dense a course to take in 6-weeks. I felt like Dr. Labiste was considerate of the short time frame and impacts of COVID. He gave us open book quizzes and exams. I don't think we got his best teaching in a forced remote setting, but I can tell he really understands the material. Wish I could've taken his class in person.

Professor Labiste is not given given the credits that he deserves. I took this class in the fall semester while classes were remote, and he provides you with the resources that you need to learn. Anatomy is difficult, however, he provides you with the resources that you need. He is straight to the point.

Dr. Labiste is by FAR the BEST & most caring A&P professor that I have had. He gives you ample amount of time to complete assignments & quizzes. He makes himself available for students @ his office for advise & counseling. Anyone that has a bad review of him, feels like they don't have to do work & they should get an A. My goal was just to pass the class. I pretty much failed the midterm and final but because I did well on the quizzes and mylab assignments I passed with a C. If you want an A in this class do not take it online. There is too much information that needs more in depth explanation than what you get in course materials.

Professor Labiste has been my favorite professor by far! He gives an exam for every body system (6) and online HW. Don't fall behind with the HW, it's a great review for his exams. He doesn't have dates for his exams, but he tells you at least a week beforehand. Attendance is mandatory. I highly recommend joining/making a study group for his class.

Tests, Quizzes, exams, and homework ALL count towards your grade (points-based). Flashcards/study groups would help you! He is kind, funny, and has good experiences to share.
