This prof. is cool and his method of teaching helps you get an A on the class. The book needs to be read for exams but he allows a cheat sheet and will give you a VERY ACCURATE review. Well my class didn't get cheat sheets but honestly if you read the book then go over it before the test you should have no problem pulling off an A or B. The material is interesting and some of it should be review if you know about psychology. But you really do HAVE TO READ. Also writing an autobiography is part of the class so it's kinda fun!

Great prof! Uses real-fie examples. Very funny and VERY fair. One paper - autobiography. Gives a review that covers everything. Just study the BOLD words in book for exams and you're guarenteed a decent grade. Excellent class!

ALL NOTES ONLINE. he just rereads the powerpoints in class, so you don't even have to take notes. 5 tests, drops lowest grade. 1 autobiography paper. grades easy. optional extra credit paper as well. read slides and book to get an A. easy class. got a B n I winged the whole thing.

He's nice, he knows the material VERY well. He rambles on sometimes about random topics but he wraps it up quickly. The tests are not that easy! Study hard because you will be surprised at your grade. The autobiography is not that bad and I didnt do the extra credit (research paper) and I still got an A. I recommend him!

Very nice, very understanding. As long as you know psych and glance over the chapter notes before the test, you should easily geta good grade. I got a B, and I hardly ever went to class.

Great professor! The stories he tells are pretty funny and relate to the material also. Posts his notes online. One 6-page paper, and takes the best 3 out of 4 tests. Oh and there's an optional final that could only help your grade. I defitnitely recommend him!

This is an EASY A class, I got a B+ because i slacked. But honestly you read the book and go over is exam outlines and youre ready to get an A+. To really get an A read the chapters ahead of time and you write your notes on cheat sheet and you get an A. Its a no brainer. The paper you write is biographical and its easy as pie. Great attitude!

AWESOME! got a B however I only went to 8 classes. He is really helpful and he allows you to have a cheat sheet. He's serious about his test and allows no cheating at all. Nice guy over all. Recomendable

great professor. very nice. fair. just not what i expected from a dream psychology class and had other expectations i guess and that just made the class ugh... do the dream journal and study for his tests.... maybe if i would have read the book i probably would have passed with an A or B...

Very Interesting and light class. Professor Fernandez uses power point the whole semester, only 3 tests, which tha third test is the final, and he keeps the two highest grades. Test are multiple choice 50 questions. Just one easy and short paper. Attendance not mandatory but recommended. You need to read the book in additon to the notes.

i had him for two classes this semester. i didn't feel the need to go to class because he just reads off the powerpoint that he provides for us anyway. the tests are a little confusing.

He is a very good teacher. He has a lot of experience in the field as a clinical psychologist. His tests are a bit tricky, but not impossible. He is funny and really likes to teach. Take him, A- or B+ guaranteed.

Great professor and amazing psychologist, makes the material intersting & great learning experience for ppl in the field. 4 one question open book/notes quizzes, 7pg paper, 2/3 exams non-****(cheat sheet allowed). Also took CLP 4314 which is harder cause u need to read the book but still no more than 2days studying for exams. Highly recommend!

this prf, is amazing hes helpful and makes the class interesting. he gives power point presentations and also a review prior to the exam. drop the lowest exam, super-easy class assignments to help ur grade, easy project and opportunity for extra credit. Really have to read the book or might get a surprise in the exam.

This teacher is AWESOME! took him online and he has so helpful! He gave us hints and material to study for every quiz & exam & the topic for the paper is stated on the syllabus from day 1 so there are no surprises. Grade is based on 3/4 exams, final paper, 8/10 quizzes, and 6/8 assignments (very easy) Would take this class with him a million times!

also took clp 4314. cool guy, wants you to pass. tells a lot of cool stories, and seems like the only fiu psych. professor who has actual therapy experience. tests are hard, you can take a cheat sheet, he drops one. gives good reviews. easy papers/assignments. online notes, but some test questions are from the book only, so read.

i have taken 4 classes with him and could never get an A. he makes class interesting sue to his backsgound in counseling and so forth. but when it comes to the test, he LOVES trick questions, and sometimes the book answer is different from what he is convinced the answer is. always review tests with him. when it comes to paper grading, still unk

professor fernandez, is a very understanding professor and he will review the quizand exams, but when it comes to the exams the questions itself could be very tricky and some of them are case studies; the time given for the exams to be completed does not give you enough time to review the questions . the class itself is a very interested. class.

I took this professor online and I found him to be fantastic. He gives reviews before quizzes and tests, and drops lowest 2 quiz grades, and lowest test grade. Only thing that was difficult about this course was the 8-10 page paper. However, he is ALWAYS available by e-mail if you have any questions and he is very prompt with his responses.

Amazing professor. Very helpful. I took him online and he always gave us reviews for the quizes and exams. Dr. Fernandez is a GREAT professor. The class is not easy but it's not hard. You have to put effort into it and the quizzes and tests can be tricky but he does provide a study guide which helps LOTS! Be ready to put effort into it. He is very helpful and very straight forward. You'll always know exactly what to expect.

Professor Fernandez is a great teacher. I took the class online and it was a bit challenging but not too much. You will have an 8-10 page paper due at the end. Read the assigned chapters, follow the reviews for each quiz and test and you will be fine. Also reading the syllabus thouroughly will definitely help. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing course and professor. He lectures from Italy, don't let that worry you. He is more organized and engaged in the class than most professors on-site. He is very fair but doesn't play. He gives study guides for all his quizzes and exams, just go over them and you will do fine. He inspires and encourages you to succeed.

Most amazing professor I have ever had. I took this course online AWESOME!! and he is more caring and involved and dedicated to teaching than any in class teacher and by far than any online teacher. The course was not super easy but was not difficult in any manner either. There are 4 test he drops one and 9 quizes and he drops 2 plus 8-10 pg paper.

Dr. Fernandez is amazing!! Very into his line of work, and makes the class enjoyable. Three exams which are SUPER easy, and weekly quizzes which are equally as easy. Make sure you check the discussion boards for class participation grade. No surprises about expectations, and a very easy A. Highly recommend.

Dr. Fernandez is clear from the very beginning. I took this class online and it was not the easiest thing ever, but if you study for the quizzes and the exams, you will do great. Took him for summer C. Follows the syllabus explicitly beginning to end; no surprises. Very kind, down-to-earth, and understanding. Not an easy A, but if you deserve to be a member of the field you shouldn't be looking for an easy way out anyway. Read the book, ask questions if you need to and you'll do fine. You WILL learn, which is what matters!

This class was taken online and is a psychology class so it's a given that you have to read and understand. It was super interesting material though so it wasn't hard to get started. He assigns on long paper, a clinical case study, and quizzes and tests, but always gives you exactly what you need. Study guides are given for everything. Super easy.

The best professor I've ever taken for an online class. He is very precise and detailed about what he whats and when it's due. Follow the directions and it's an easy class. Reading is esssential in order to do well on tests and weekly discussion posts are required.

Prof. Fernandez was really nice and honest with his students. If you don't try, he won't help you. But if you put in the effort and do the easy assignments, you'll be good. Such an interesting and neat class! Absolutely would take this professor again.

The first thing is to look out for his test their are really complicated and not direct. At times he can be very opinionated on his exams, so heed my advice and study. Journal entries are must for his class. After every 3-4 weeks discussions that you posted are due. Turn everything ON TIME!!he makes no exceptions. If you do the work, you will pass

Professor Fernandez is an amazing professor. You will learn things that you will carry out for the rest of your life. He is incredibly detailed in what he expects for his class so if you fail it is because you wanted to. I love this class! trust me you will too. TAKE IT!!!

Discussion postings every week. You only have to respond to him, other classmates is optional. He gives real-life examples that inspire and motivate you. There are 2 difficult assignments which is a 3-page clinical case study and a 11-page paper on a movie or book. He is not a tough grader but does not give extra credit or reopen quizzes.

He knows exactly what he wants from his class and has his expectations very clearly laid out in his syllabus. He is a great professor and you can tell that he is very passionate about what he does, but he is SUPER strict about deadlines. As long as you keep up with your deadlines and try with the work, his class is straight forward. 4exams 1dropped

You can tell he is passionate about his work and wants his students to succeed. Reply to his weekly discussions and do your work and you should be fine. Gives 4 tests but one is dropped. He can be tough but its because he wants to teach responsibility. He really does not want to accept late papers. There are 2 papers one is quite intense. Other than that, fairly easy class. He is smart and I love that he uses real life examples throughout the semester.

Dr. Fernandez is an extremely interesting guy, there is a lot of discussion participations in this class but they are all based on past cases that he has had which are always extremely interesting. There is a clinical case study do and a long paper, so don't procrastinate (I did but I managed through). Overall, great professor, interesting class.

He really knows his stuff and seems so passionate about it. Even tho I took this class online, he was involved and interacted with us often. He requires class participation, so you better post those discussions. Hes not very lenient, but it teaches us discipline haha. In addition to making us read, he also provided his own input on the material.

Professor Fernandez was one of my favorite professors this semester. His class consists of weekly discussions, and a final paper of 2500 words so start as soon as possible. Three tests, one dropped. Your grade highly depends on your tests so actually do the readings and you'll be fine. He gives a study guide. Overall great professor!

Easy grader. Discussions with a reply every week, 3 exams (he drops the lowest grade), and 1 paper. Pretty easy class with interesting topics, just make sure to study for the exams.

I enjoyed his class and I found everything we learned to be very interesting. The class itself is pretty easy as long as you do the reading and actually pay attention. His discussion posts are also very easy to do and it's never boring. Although, he can be a bit snippy with his responses over email. Overall, he's a good professor.

He is super straightforward. We have weekly discussions where we have to participate, make a document with all our responses, exams, a final paper, and case studies. It seems overwhelming at first but he's very very nice and clear about what he's looking for. All of the due dates are nicely spread out. If you completed what he asked you're golden!

Amazing professor. No, this is not a super easy class. You have to work, but this professor's lectures are so interesting and he actually interacts with his students in the discussions. He is very inspiring. This is definitely one of my favorite classes/professor and a class I learned a lot in.

An absolutely amazing professor! He cares about his students and their opinions about each weeks subject. His readings are inspiring and engaging which made the class a comfortable space to gain knowledge about any subject given.

2 papers, one on analyzing a character's psychopathology and clinical studies. His tests weigh a lot, 70% of your grade to be exact. For the most part, he doesn't accept late submissions! Get ready to engage in weekly class discussions and read four to five chapters for each exam (4 in total).

Had a total of 7 grades (intro discussion, 3 class participations, 3 tests, & 1 paper). Your lowest grade on the tests is dropped. The class participation are the weekly discussions you post. Reading the syllabus is intimidating, however this class was easy and straightforward. if you read he syllabus he gives clear instructions. No late work.

His case studies are interesting. You can tell he is passionate about his work. You have to comment on his and other student's posts. The difficult part was the tests. You get a study guide but all of the tests are 70 questions and detail oriented. He drops the lowest test grade. The 2 written assignments were pretty lengthy but not graded hard.

The class wasn't that hard. You only have to worry about responding to his discussion posts and reading the textbook for the tests (75% of grade). My only complaint is that the discussions did not appear on the canvas calendar, which forced me to manually find the discussion boards every week. Overall, a very interesting class about disorders.
