Excellent! Well-organized, responsive, and supportive. Yet, holds you accountable for the quality of your work, which is a good thing in the long run.
Dr. Garcia provides a well-organized class in the online setting; easy to follow but not easy otherwise. He is stringent but fair and responds with useful information.
Knows lots of stuff. Good personality. Very helpful but expects students to cover all the bases. Not my type of class but he was excellent; inspiring at times.
This is one of the dreaded required classes which I waited until my senior year to take. Now I wish I had taken it sooner, especially with Garcia. It definitely requires time and effort but he makes it more tangible and interesting than I expected. Excellent professor to cross paths with!
Incredible depth and knowledge. Tries to make every student feel engaged. Humorous and kind, but I agree that he holds students accountable for the quality of their work to a fuller extent than most professors. Helped me improve though.
A challenging class to take, especially in the online setting and needing to access the SPSS software. On campus is much better for learning data analysis. Even so, Garcia is responsive and helpful. Sometimes he takes a couple days to get back to you but the high ratio of students in FGCU courses is the likely reason. Overall, good professor.
Easy-going but stringent. The class was a pain and too large, but he was very helpful and considerate.
Insightful, well-spoken, and helpful. Very encouraging and approachable. Made data analysis more understandable and relevant to me. Overall pretty good.
Know lots. Does the "Socratic method"; some lecturing; some of his research; lots of asking students questions and discussion. His tests can be challenging, but he gives a study guide that focuses on the questions. You will also definitely be a better writer after his class.
Most classes, he was insightful and clear. Good on most of the course topics; fuzzy on a few. A combination of off-beat and establishment; intellectual and blue-collar; commanding yet flexible. He was overall pretty good to take for this class. I learned a few things.
I agree that he is good professor. Smart, real-world person with a certain charisma. Considerate of students' issues but demands performance. I was breezing through most classes until I got to his. He's not hard but sometimes the material can be. Do the work and you'll be fine.
He gives students every change to succeed in this course. I was overwhelmed by SPSS and some of the statistics at first, but it was mostly my own mental block. Through him and his teaching assistant, I was able to gain a better understanding and do well in the course. If you do the work, attend class, and keep up, you will be fine.
Requires a high level of work. His lectures are very boring and repetitive. He reverts back to his time in the Boston Police Department in every class. Found him to be full of himself. Passable class but would recommend another professor if possible.
Mandatory class; not my subject area but the professor was effective, responsive, and considerate. A few annoying fellow students in the class was the biggest issue for me.
Overall pretty good. Dude knows alot. Nice guy; helpful. 2 short papers, lectures-discussions, guest speakers, video documentary.
I was happy to receive the grade I did in this class. Failed it the first time around with another professor. Garcia made it much more manageable and understandable. Some of the stuff still sucks to do, but he was ok.
He was awesome; loved him! If you read enough of the material, listen to his surprisingly interesting lectures given the class title, and do the work, you should be set. He sometimes goes off point but usually in a funny or meaningful way. Fair grader, good with questions, feedback and contact. Highly recommend him!
A little quirky; but aren't we all. I wasn't really that interested in the course to begin with. But I actually enjoyed many parts of it and learned some interesting things. Assignments, tests, and projects are reasonable. Answers all questions and gets back to you in a timely manner.
This professor makes data analysis and research methods very manageable. I had heard some scary things about this class and was not looking forward to it. Now that I took the class, it is actually is not that bad; at time, very enlightening even. Garcia is very knowledgeable, humorous and committed to student learning. I highly recommend him.
Nice guy. Knowledgeable, humorous, compassionate. I am a senior and sadly did not appreciate or feel that I received proper instruction in writing and critical thinking until I got to this class. If you can, take the course with him. He's not easy, nor hard, but you will learn.
I love Garcia! Still don't care much for research methods, but he is good in the class. I could not believe how many things he pointed out in my work that was helpful.
He made the class more enjoyable than expected and I learned lots. He is knowledgeable, companionate, and humorous. I highly recommend him for this course.
A very likeable and learned professor. Best constructive critic of writing that I have every had. Pays attention to details. I was unsure that I could meet his requirements but he was very helpful and supportive. Will definitely help you become a better writer and communicator.
Takes the time to actually read and analyze our papers to point out any mistakes that we made, even the small formatting and grammatical ones. One of the few instructors that I have taken that has actually provided quality feedback to increase a student's writing capabilities.
Excellent guy...had him in the prerequisite methods course...helpful, considerate, knowledgeable. I still do not care for this particular course, especially online, but he is good in how he organizes the class and responds to questions.
Garcia connects theory with practice mostly well and is helpful, humorous, and instructive in the process. I thought a theories class would be a bore but he brought several things to light through his explanations and relevant stories. He can be very inspirational at times in the way he speaks and examples he relays. I highly recommend him.
A very cool professor with an amazing amount of knowledge and teaching ability. I am so glad that I took his course. He earnestly strives to develop students knowledge and communication skills in a gently demanding but helpful manner. He incorporates good relevant stories, poetry, and music examples to help us better relate to the material.
Very good class and I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did. Garcia is an excellent professor and if I had to take any other class taught by him I definitely would. Challenging but fun. An amazing professor in this subject area.
Great teacher, knows what he is talking about. I would take a class with him again. Awesome professor.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. He expects a lot from students, but having that level of expectation made us step up to the plate. At first, his preciseness was annoying and I didn't see the point, but looking back, I appreciate how much time he spent making sure we only gave perfection. NO other teacher has done this for me.
Garcia is like a splash of cold water on your face -- slightly shocking but overall refreshing. He has a good energy; is fascinating on several topics; and pushed us to think critically and communicate more effectively. Emphasizes "connected knowledge" and written and verbal communication skills. One way to impress him -- avoid saying "um."
Overall, hes good. Can be a ball buster at times though; not for the weak minded or faint of heart. Combination of intellectual, teacher, humorist, and drill sergeant in this class. Worst thing was the imbalance of students abilities. Not an easy, get over class; very mind-expanding though; wish I had taken early in junior yr instead of sr.
I sucked in this class, barely passed. Garcia's good tho. Realize now how I should have been paying closer attention to things in prerequisite classes. Do not try to pass this class wo book. Make sure you know how to use the ruler, hanging indents, header setup and other Word functions well. I learned how to make best tables ever in this class!
Dr. Garcia is an amazing professor. Explained each lesson as was planned, was always on time. And stuck to the lesson plan. Very well organized and made some lessons personal with his own experience in the career.
Overall, Professor Garcia taught in a very effective manner. He taught at a fast pace that was difficult to keep up with at first, but you learn to get the hang of his style and speed. I learned a lot overall.
Took this class in the new 6-week summer session. Garcia had it well organized so, even though lots of reading, quizzes, and writing in a short session, it was manageable. I still do not care for research methods but can appreciate its value.
I'm a senior and have taken him on campus and online in theory class and this one. Never had a professor like him; knows his stuff and helpful for sure but does unusual supportive things like sent me individual emails for doing well at the midpoint and end of the course and telling me about research internship possibilities. I think he's great!
Garcia is an awesome professor. I believe very student in the justice program should take him before they graduate. He is tough grader but always willing to make your job easier. I learned more in his classes than I did in any other criminal justice course I had taken. Love that man!!
This was a tough class for me. I had a 59% course grade into the 13th week. Went to his office for assistance and he spent almost 3 hours helping me better understand the material. Then allowed me to retake some quizzes and midterm exam; raised my average to 85%. Very helpful, kind, and positive-minded professor. I highly recommend.
It is an eye-opening experience to be in his class. He is engaging, inspiring, brilliant, humorous, and blunt on many issues. Full of information and good relevant stories. Helped me see things in an open-minded, deeper way. Demands that you do the work right but is very helpful about it. I enjoy his teaching style and methods. Highly recomme
Professor Garcia is awesome. He is hilarious and loves telling his students about his experiences (which are interesting). Only 3 papers , 2 quizzes, 2 exams and attendance for grades. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW HOW TO WRITE IN APA. Definitely take him for this class.
Very helpful professor. Could not have passed this course without his audio lectures and response to my questions. A hard class (glad its over) but ended up getting more out of it than I expected. I highly recommend Dr. G.
Garcia is awesome! Almost impossible to take his classes without expanding your consciousness and abilities. He's a good professor to take.
Great professor, has a superb passion for his job. His teaching was beneficial. He presented ideas that helped expand upon the readings. His personal experiences and knowledge on issues was also invaluable. He encouraged us to understand concepts from the book by requiring us to present those ideas to our peers.
He was amazing! Super helpful, energetic and funny. His teaching methods were superb. Dr. Garcia is a well rounded professor who doesn't just cover one base of a subject rather all bases. He makes learning fun and interesting.
This class was challenging online, but the professor was great at explaining exactly what he needed from students. He encouraged us to come to his office hours if we need the extra help and encourage us to keep doing great in class.
His teaching methods were superb. Dr. Garcia is a well rounded professor who doesn't just cover one base of a subject rather all bases. He makes learning fun and interesting.
Fantastic! He has a superb passion for his job; related real life experiences to the material as well as current events, and made sure each student used critical thinking skills.
Dont take with him if you want an easy grade but definitely is a good professor. I was struggling some weeks with this course online but was able to figure it out better with his help. When I emailed and talked with him on the phone, he was really good at helping me understand things better. I made a B- in the class but he was good.
This instructor provided us with an elaborate syllabus that followed the course modules and outline perfectly, thus making it easy to understand. He also did a nice job in tying the assignments to current events and law enforcement activities that made the learning more effective.
Excellent teacher! Knows so much and is helpful. Not an easy class but I learned more than I expected to. I highly recommend Garcia.
Gives off a good energy. Serious about teaching and learning but with some humor and cool insights in the process. If you meet with him in his office, he is very helpful one-on-one. slows it down for you. Very good professor to take.
I took this class as an online elective this semester, and have really enjoyed this class and instructor. You MUST read the chapters in the book in order to pass your weekly quizzes. The good news is the answers are indicated clearly in the text. Read the book, study for the papers, and you will pass.
This class was great! Unlike too many professors who just present the information through monotone lectures, he had a distinctive energy and manner that made the class interesting. I definitely recommend him.
One of the coolest and brutally honest (in a constructive way) professors I have ever had. Another great quality about him is that he bonds well with the class and keeps it entertaining as well as informative. Not boring by any means. But make sure you do the work properly.
An amazing teacher overall! I appreciate his positive feedback and encouragement as well the fact that he is one of the few teachers that I have encountered so far that has really been such a positive influence. Definitely a professor that cares about making you a more evolved and critical thinker.
His credentials were amazing to see when I first entered the class. He had quite the impressive resume which shows how truly passionate he must be about this subject. I think sometimes universities just throw any average joe in as a professor of a class, and oftentimes you can really tell. This professor on the other hand, truly loves his work.
The way the professor interacts with us is very helpful, he always responds with details and more to make sure that you fully understand any assignment you are having trouble in class.
Energetic, engaging, offbeat, committed are some of the words that I associate with this professor. Never had anyone quite like him. Wish I could take him for other classes. Not hard but not easy either. Highly recommend.
I'm a serious student who wants to do well professionally. Dr. Garcia's course management style and rigor helped me become better prepared . Makes me feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Two thumbs up!
I have taken his classes twice and can say that he is engaging, informative, easy to access outside of the classroom, and makes this class something enjoyable by inputting his passion for this subject into his lectures.
The professor is good but I do not recommend taking this class in the 6 week, online summer session. Way too much in a short time. I should have prepared better for this course and not had so many other things going on. Professor provided written lessons, audio of him giving pointers, video and other resources but just too much to do in 6 wks.
Excellent teacher; I learned alot from him. Would be happy to take him again.
Garcia presented and explained the information needed to be successful in the course effectively. Updating students throughout the semester and working with them when they needed it was very helpful. This isn't to say he's not a firm grader, because he is, but he's fair and organized which is really what an online course needs.
Dr. Garcia is very knowledgeable about the subject matter and applies his professional experiences to the course content. This helps engage students and gives us a greater understanding of the material. I really enjoyed his class, appreciated his passion, and would recommend taking him during your college career.
I am a police officer finishing up my last semester, and have never before come across a professor of Garcia's caliber. I've had some good professors but he is outstanding! Knows his stuff well from both the academic and practitioner perspectives, and demands that you learn and grow to become a more knowledgeable citizen. Excellent professor!
Really good having a professor like Garcia. Knows so much and cares that you learn and become a critical thinker. Research proposal paper is challenging but good to know how to do. His real-world stories and how he relates most of them to the course is amazing. A major mind-expanding experience being in his class. Wow! Take him if you can!
I learned a lot of very useful information in this class that I know will serve me in the years to come. He's a very fun professor and very good at teaching. I hope I can take some other classes of his in the future.
At the beginning of the semester, I was very anxious and not sure I would enjoy the class. Overall, I can truly tell you that it was great. I appreciate a professor like him who sets expectations higher for us students and challenge us to be better. I think it gives us either the urge to try harder or give up (depending on the student).
I thoroughly enjoyed having him as a professor and the information in this course.
I enjoyed this professor. He was frequently available in his office and after class to go over things I wasn't quite getting and helped me immensely to better grasp this stuff. I earned an A- because of his help as well as my own significant efforts. I recommend him.
I did well by keeping up with the assignments and asking questions before/after class or during his ofc hours. I found him to be very helpful and supportive. The course though can be frustrating when 1/2 the class is apathetic/min. trying. He repeated himself many times, and some still could not get it. I learned alot and would take him again.
He was incredibly helpful. Even though all his classes were online this semester and lives in Tampa, he made himself available for face to face meetings on campus numerous times during the semester. I would not have done as well without his help. Cares that you learn right and pushes you to be better. I think he's great!
Garcia was an excellent instructor he was always quick to respond and helpful. I met him for his office hours several times and understood the matter better. This class though is extra challenging in the online setting if you do not put in the time, keep up with the material, and ask questions. Quiz each week on the assigned reading. Not too bad.
Dr. Garcia is one of the hardest professors I have ever taken but he is also one of the best. If you work hard and show him respect, you will get a good grade. I have learned more in his class than in all four years previously. If you want to learn and improve, he is the one you want to take.
I'm a senior who wishes I had taken Garcia earlier. His combo of academic knowledge and practitioner and real life experiences is amazing. He will push/challenge you to be better. Demanding but in a logical, sincere way. He truly wants us to be successful in life and promotes the necessary thinking and communication skills. I highly recommend.
He opened up my eyes to several things. Can be a little intimidating when he says he expects high quality work from seniors; kind of shakes you out of your lax mindset. But, he is ultimately very helpful and wants the best for you. I wish I had taken him earlier before my senior year. If you can get him to mentor you, it would be a big benefit.
Here is the challenging & knowledgeable type of professors I expected to have at the university level and, frankly, makes most other professors I have had pale in comparison. If all my profs had been as consistent & committed to maintaining high standards, we would all be better students and prepared for the pro world. Overall he's great to have.
Okay stop what you are doing right now and go register for this class! Dr. Garcia is knowledgeable and someone whose brain you can pick. He is so accessible outside class and truly challenges you to think outside the box. His lectures are so engaging and eye opening. He's a tough one but what you gain at the end is worth it. He's a G and funny AF.
Hes a very funny and lighthearted guy! His class is very essay heavy though. He expects us to be able to write at a junior level because you know were are juniors. But his grading is still fair in the end. But he engages the class with open discussions and his finals are online which means open book. His quizzes are also usually online.
Yes, Dr. Garcia has proved to be a challenging professor, however, the challenges presented are not without care for the future of all of his students. I have learned more from Dr. Garcia through the two classes I have taken with him than my entire course load over my 4 years of college.
Dr. Garcia's example stories, though sometimes lengthy, always related to something we were learning in class or important life lessons that pertain to students our age. Makes great points; it's up to us to listen to them or not. He provided me with plenty of important life lessons and academic knowledge for which I am grateful. Two thumps up!
Of the 5 courses I took my last semester, his was the most challenging & consistent for the junior level. I truly feel that I earned the "A" grade, unlike other courses where I've turned in work that would have been worth nothing more than "C" but managed to get an "A" simply because a prof. was not interested in really dissecting and grading work.
I thought that I knew what a good prof was but, now that I have taken a class with Garcia, I truly know. He is the real deal! A combo of brilliance, demanding, compassion, and humor unlike any I have experienced in my 4 years here. If more profs were of his depth/caliber, we would all leave well prepared to the pro world and be better citizens.
This is one of the most well-organized online courses I have taken in my 4 years here. Garcia is super smart and helpful. The proposal conception & writing is challenging but enlightening. I definitely feel that I have learned how to produce a pro research proposal. I recommend him but make sure that you read everything thoroughly to do well.
Not for the faint of heart but that is just what we need from our teachers these days. Makes sure we're at a jr. level understanding; not just skating thru his courses. Papers are not easy but he gave lots of feedback and offered his time to help us produce the best possible work. I recommend if you want a humorous and knowledgeable professor.
Dr. Garcia proved to be a challenging professor. However, the challenges presented were not without care for the future of all of his students. I have learned more from Dr. Garcia through the 2 classes I have taken with him than my entire course load over my 4 years of college. He always explained information clearly and concisely. Great professor!
Took his crim theories and data analysis classes on campus. Each was mind and skill expanding; Crim was more fun but data more satisfying. Mix of brilliant, funny, honest, demanding, and caring. That univ educated citizens need to be well tuned in and make informed, objective decisions to make the world a better place resonates in his classes.
The rewarding thing about taking Garcia's class is you that can never become complacent. He pushed me to become a much better student and citizen. I appreciate his feedback! He is blunt but not about hurting your ego; rather, building your skills and consciousness in a mostly constructive manner with some good humor and stories included.
While he states early that this course requires more attention & focus than others, I regrettably didnt buy it. Fell behind & lost by wk 6 with a 34% avg. Met with him to plead mercy and help. Though hed just finished a long day and was visibly tired, he spent 1.5 hours essentially giving me a private lesson. Raised avg to 85%. Kind & smart guy!
I really enjoyed his class and I love his teaching style. It really made me try harder and strive to achieve a greater understanding of the methods and process of true, professional research. I would definitely take this course again and recommend him as a professor and the class to anyone interested.
Had him twice; overall very good! The biggest diff was the mix of students. 2nd class had several who you wonder why they were there. Hed lecture clearly on like the trend in serious crime, ask a simple, followup review question, and 1/3+ of the class couldnt accurately respond. This had a negative effect on our progress and his positive energy.
Unlike another student with negative comments, I stayed in the class until the end and found him to be a sincere and supportive professor in this challenging course. He is direct in some comments no doubt but I think its to weed out the weak/apathetic ones. He gave me great feedback on my proposal and allowed me to resubmit. Overall, very good!
He was very good in how well the class is organized, his communications, grading and overall efforts to get us to try to understand and be able to apply the concepts and analyses. This is a very serious course though that requires sincere focus and effort. Dont be like some students who wait til sr year to take it then fail and have to retake.
A VERY challenging course; requires sincere time and focus unlike most others! Do not take it lightly or while juggling too many other classes, work, etc. You will regret it! DO NOT wait until senior yr to take it either; junior yr is best! The professor went out of his way to be helpful but its a lot to take in and its on you to do well.
He's knowledgeable, helpful when asked, and communicates well (a combo of gently or very directly). Not the type who gives out easy grades but fair for sure. A REAL professor. This class is tough though cause it takes lots of time and effort to learn and apply it. Stuff from res methods like LOM & D/I variables also carry over; so remember them!
The professor was not hard but learning the material and how to use and interpret SPSS analyses was. Different from any other course. Garc?a provided a well organized class and was responsive and helpful. I totally agree with what others have said DO NOT WAIT UNTIL SENIOR YEAR TO TAKE THIS CLASS! If you fail it then, you have screwed yourself
Juggling five other 16 week classes along with this one in the 8 week format was tough. It was demanding but he was mostly fine. 85% of us got A and B grades. But there were a few who had previously failed the course with other professors who still couldnt get it and took out their frustrations on him and made things negative for the class.
Garcia is a good teacher who cares and, if you listen to his feedback, you will elevate. Makes you think about major elements of critical thinking needed in the future. Very diligent in grading papers and gave a lot of good feedback and examples on how to make the writing and content better in order to receive higher score on the next assignments.
His online theories of crim. beh. course is one of the most well-organized classes that I've ever taken. He provides a review of the previous week, lays out the current week, previews the next, and models good writing and formatting in everything. Quizzes are fairly easy. Responds well to emails and makes himself available outside of class. Good
I enjoyed his class. He was responsive, considerate, organized and professional. Answered questions in a kind and thorough manner. Made adjustments to test questions that weren't clear. Graded fairly. Open-book m/c and essay quizzes are manageable. The course paper is very important though; must do it right. Even better to take him on campus.
I am entering my senior year and appreciate his teaching style and grading standards. For the 1st time in my university career, I actually had to put in some effort. He was professional and responded to questions in helpful ways. If more professors where at his standard, we'd all learn more and have a better chance of succeeding professionally.
Dr. Garcia is a superb professor! I have never been challenged to learn like this before but also learned like never before and feel much more confident in my abilities after his course.
He was very skillful and encouraging; really cares. It was well organized and he spent a significant amount of time giving us excellent feedback on our content, writing, and formatting that ultimately helped many of us maintain a good grade in the course. Took us to another level of awareness and intelligent thinking. A great professor for me!
He is the only professor I have had that actually attempts to make students earn a grade. His teaching style is well-organized, thoughtful, and a little strong but for good reason. His feedback was great and highly appreciated. Honestly, the best professor at FGCU if you are looking for a real professor.
He is straight-forward and does not like excuses. I was one of three juniors in his course and the papers he reads them thoroughly. Don't wait till the last minute or try to bs. The best thing to try is find someone willing to make a group chat with the class and communicate. He follows the APA 7th edition paper format. 11 papers, resume, and cover
His class was very organized, and he did an excellent job teaching it. He was great about responding promptly and always treated me with respect. He was both strict and kind in getting us to understand the material and produce good work. One of the best professors that I have had.
Extremely strict grader. I was once docked points because I wrote out a two-digit number instead of using the numerical format. A little condescending. He actually reads your essays and will give you feedback. Be prepared to write, almost every single test had an essay question at the end and there was a final paper due at the end of the semester.
His instructions are very unclear, his feedback is belittling and not useful. I had to beg him to help me correct my work in order to receive a better grade (which I do appreciate). I would not recommend this class to someone who can't handle harsh criticism and belittling language. His delivery could greatly improve.
If you're looking to be criticized & belittled then I would definitely take him. He is an entirely harsh grader & does not care about letting you know why you got the grade you got. He would give me points off of assignments for no reason & did not explain why. Not the best organization either, if you have the chance to take a dif professor, do it.
This was the worst professor I've ever had. The assignment instructions were unclear; he is a tough grader; he is so difficult to please; and he will criticize your work heavily rather than try to help you understand. I never write reviews, but this was a painful class.
I was a graduate teaching assistant in this class. He did well in managing the variety of levels of students; provided extensive feedback, allowed redos, and was available to assist those who asked. Several students were caught cheating and had to be put on notice. Cheaters and thin-skinned prima donnas complained even in the face of the facts.
He's a tough grader, but I believe he has truly helped me in my writing skills! I would recommend him if you enjoy feedback. He may come off as strict but he is just trying to help you! I started with a lower grade, but he pushed me to work harder and I did by the end of the semester. Great guy.
I initially found his high standards and constructive, direct feedback somewhat daunting. However, his expectations pushed me outside of my comfort zone and challenged me to strive for excellence in ways I had never experienced. I now realize how influential those challenges were in shaping me into a better student, writer and overall individual.
Professor Garcia-Fierro runs a challenging yet rewarding class. The feedback is tough but valuable, pushing students to deliver their best work. Utilizing resources like unstuckstudy alongside the textbook proved immensely helpful for succeeding in this course.
One of the worst professors I've had, he constantly makes feedback comments that come across as snarky and dismissive rather than constructive. This created a stressful learning environment where asking questions felt intimidating rather than encouraged. I believe constructive criticism is important, but the tone and delivery matter just as much.
He is one of the better professor that I have had in my four years here. Knows his stuff, communicates well and provides good feedback. He is direct but in a constructive way. I am a senior with a 3.85 GPA and he pointed out several things that helped me improve my writing and critical thinking.
If grammar isn't your strong suit, it will be or else you will not succeed in his class. He can be VERY picky with grading and can come off as incredibly condescending in his comments. Yes, it's not a super difficult course but having him as a professor is not for the weak. I recommend creating a groupme for the class for moral support tbh.
I was failing the class; honestly, due to lack of effort on my part. When I asked for assistance, we had a phone meeting and he took an hour and half to help me better understand. It was eye-opening and very helpful. The class is definitely challenging but when you talk with him you realize that he is very caring and kind. A good professor really.
I too had a phone meeting with him and was much the better for it. He was informative, courteous, and humorous. I was stuck on recoding, significance testing and reporting results, and he made it much clearer to me. My overall grade went from a C to a B+ then an A-. He is strict about some things but for the right reasons. I highly recommend him.
I'm a senior and he's the most thorough prof. I've ever had. Content, writing and APA 7 format are his grading criteria. He gives detailed feedback and seems to really care. He allows AI but with strict guidelines and checks everything. Follow directions, do the work on time and you'll do well. Otherwise, you won't. Overall, he's really good.
Not the best teaching wise, but okay.
