REALLY helpful! If u do all the homework you'll do great on the tests. If u get B's on the tests & do ALL the homework, you'll get an A. Lots of quizzes but they really help u learn & are low pressure/don't count for much. VERY understanding & nice guy. I have dyslexia & got my first EVER A in math!

Mr. Negron is by far one of the best teachers. He encourages his students to pass and does care what students learn. He's not strict about tardiness because he does understand people fall behind schedule. He is highly recommendable for students trying to enrol in a begininng algebra class.

I love this guy! I was someone who absolutely hated math with a passion and never excelled at it, and he made everything "click" for me. I took his class for re-takers and he was a great instructor. He gave me all of the help that I needed and he actually gave all of the one on one help that I asked for as well and that helped me passed. He taught me how to understand the material, not just teach it like all of the other teachers did before him. He's a great instructor.

Professor Negron is a FANTASTIC math teacher. If you struggle with math at all, he breaks things down to it's core. I took him for basic algebra in the Fall semester 2010 and I passed the state test with a 97%. He's great. Do your homework even if he doesn't collect it. Also ask A LOT of questions if you need to, he's always willing to help.

Professor Negron is extremely passionate about his job. He is always willing to help his students and is very approachable. Class is mandatory because there are iclicker questions that count toward your grade. Powerpoints in class don't really teach you much so you will have to teach yourself with mylabs homework. Drops one test.

Prof. Negron is great when teaching one on one but when teaching a whole class he tends to go too fast. Wouldn't recommend him though.

Negron is the best! He is so funny! In a 3-hour stats class, his humor really carried me through. He is very clear in his expectations, and loves what he does. He really wants you to learn what he teaches, which is really nice. His class is not easy street, but he drops a bunch of stuff at the end. So as long as you to your work, you will pass!

Negron is a great teacher that goes over theory more than repetition. Taking his class and my physics class were together the most I've ACTUALLY learned in college my entire life. He gives you the reasons why calculus is the way it is and not just tells you what it is, which is absolutely essential and appreciated. Thanks Negron.

TAKE HIM! Not only will you actually learn in this class, but it is pretty stress free. MyMathLab is optional but it will be a great help if you struggle with math.

He teaches the material well. Homework and quizzes are optional, but that means your grade is only the 4 exams and the final exam. I recommend his class.

Amazing professor. The only issues you'll find is that he expects you to remember some previous classes extremely well. Trig, Pre-Calc, and Calc 1 methods are all a MUST HAVE. Grading is specific but it works. Extremely helpful if you need it. If you want a good grade you are working for it though, no doubts about that.

His class is not hard at all. I missed three days of his class and still managed to pass with a 94%. Homework is on mymathlab and are sometimes long. His tests are exactly the same as the reviews on mymathlab, so be sure to do it. Also participate in class, he gets a lil moody when no one is answering questions. I would definitely recommend him.

As an engineering student he is one of the best professors I've had. He makes mistakes here and there, but thats calc 2. Great professor, just a really tough class. As he would put it "you must make calc dance to your tune." He is very specific with what he wants out of his students and it works really well. Not an easy A but a very fun class.

This was the first math class that I had to study 24/7. The professor/class is extremely hard at first, but it gets easier later on. TIP: Do your homework! If the class does the homework, he will go easier on the exams, if not, good luck. He gives pop quizzes every week, so get ready. If you want to get an A, just do your homework and practice!

Professor Negron is a good professor. He wants you to learn, and don't be afraid to ask questions in class. You are only going to learn the material if you ask questions. There is no open book or note during tests, so be sure to memorize all the formulas. You will do well if you do the homework on mymathlab.

Professor Negron knows what he is doing for sure. As long as you participate in class, do the work, and ASK QUESTIONS if you do not understand, you'll pass for sure. There is a bit of homework, but nothing a college student can not handle as long as they DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE WEEKEND BEFORE to finish all three chapters of homework in one night!

He is a great professor. He gives a lot of homework which is necessary for a calculus student. He would try to help you pass by giving extra credit activities. He says by the end of the semester students would know how to take limits and understand what is a derivative, so expect that in every single tests.

You are assigned a lot of homework, but he does it because he wants you to succeed and have a lot of practice. He makes a large effort to help his students succeed if the student shows a desire to learn and do well. Get to class on time, do your homework, and talk to him when you need help. And youll do okay!

Listen. I'm terrible at math, and this semester was especially tough for me with covid. I might even have to retake. However, Negron is the best math professor I have ever had. His explanations, willingness to help, funny persona, and helpful grading scale makes it easier. For me, I was lazy this fall, that's my own fault. Take him, he's the best.

very clear on how he grades his exams. However, the tests will be difficult because of how he shapes the problems. Do the reviews and learn to see how he grades exams and stuff will make sense. Also very dynamic and funny teacher.

Mr. Negron was a great professor. Although, it depends on who you talk to. To me, the pace of the class felt just fine. Some other peers described it as fast. However, it depends on how you learn best. Although he did teach fast in some instances, if you were to ask him for more clarification on a topic you missed he would gladly go back over it.
