He goes on and on and on...when he talks about Germany, very amusing yet its not a type of class i fall asleep in...

This dude is the man. He's very clear and funny when lecturing. He doesn't like to lecture and prefers to have a class discussion.

what a great prof.I admit it he's pretty easy but he knows so much****, so you actually come out of the class with a A but you learned so much from the guy.Many times,he doesnt directly discuss the material of the course,instead he focuses more on the motivations of people and human nature and what could lead for example of Holocaust-interesting!!

Santoro he will help you out in any way possible. If you need an extension on anything (a test, a paper, etc.) just let him know before-hand and you are guaranteed that extension. As long as you study for the tests (which are very easy) you will ace them and end up with an A in the course. Take Santoro for any and all History classes you can...

"this is a historical argument" hahaha, he starts off his lectures many times with that line but this is a great class, interesting material, fairly light coursload. IF you are looking to satisfy those humanities gen ed requirements, this is your class, take it!!!!

I took both classes taught by santoro for my humanities, he really is a knowledgeable guy and the courses are fairly easy, he is very flexible and willing to work with ya. Personally I thought History 2 was easier than 143 but both are winners taught by this guy

This class was very easy, although we couldn't finish the last two weeks that was planned out to do. It was fun having class discussions. The tests were very easy, i don't think u can fail him unless ur just an idiot?

This class was very fun he's a very cool guy and very passionate about his work. The test are fairly easy and you also learn alot at the same time. Kinda makes you want to become a history major!

All i got to say is the man. he's the man. real cool dude. can relate to students and he knows what we want to learn. just an overall cool dude. take him.

Not only is he a good teacher , but he is also a wonderful humanitarian and does some great volunteer work. He was born to teach. His lectures come alive with intrigue and drama and he throws in some zany unknown facts that had everyone laughing. If you every had a problem with history before, take this teacher. You won’t regret it!!!!!

PRobubly the best teacher I have ever had. Hilarious, I laughed nearly everyday. Lectures are interesting and thought provoking. Seriously schedule at least one of his classes before leaving Abington it will be one of your best experiences there. Just an awesome teacher.

Awesome teacher. His classes are not based on trivial facts of history. He wants you to critically think. Tests are essay based but real easy. Discussions are fun and interesting. Highly recommended.

Mr. Santoro is very nice and he is always laughing he respect everyone. He made the class very comfortable, he is one of the kind. There is no one like him. Is the best.

Best teacher ever!!! I hated history before i took this class. Luke is such a great story teller. His class is very easy because he teaches you things you want to know. Dont buy the book, he doesnt use it. I highly recommend you taking his class.

Dr. Santoro is one of the best professors I have ever had, and definitely the greatest for history. His lectures are interesting, and he works very hard to make the class fun for his students. He reviews before every test, and if you follow his suggestions you cannot help but succeed. I'm going to UPark next year, and leaving Santoro makes me sad.

Bad day, or just dont feel like going to class, he'll make you want to go to his class, he is just the Man, if you see him in a bar you better buy him a drink, thats guaranteed extra credit

Extremely helpful teacher. It's not like high school where he doesn't care, Santoro truly does care, and wants you to succeed. You must want to get a good grade, to achieve it. You can be free in that class, and say whatever you want. Would recommend it for sure. Very understanding, and is a true professor.

Fairly easygoing, funny guy. Just take notes and study them. Exams are in essay form, but there is no way you can fail as long as you know what you're writing about.

The best teacher at PSU Abington..period! I hated history until I took Santoro and I ended up taking all the history classes he taught. He's passionate about history, but has an awesome sense of humor. You will love the class!

I never used the textbook and never came to class. I passed with a B+ super easy. tests are blue book and you have to write an essay.

Awesome professor! You don't really need to use the textbook but you HAVE to come to class and take good notes. He's really helpful if you come up to him. One of the best professor in campus!

This was one 8AM I looked forward too. He's hilarious, sarcastic and extremely intelligent. Santoro has helped me out with explaining materials from other classes as well. His tests are all blue book, but he makes it very clear, as long as you attend class and participate you will not fail.

Santoro is one of the best professors at Abington. He is sociable and friendly with students, but is also dedicated to his work, so he makes sure that the class learns the material. He presents it in a matter that makes it interesting. One of the rare individuals that combines intelligence and knowledge with a social and friendly attitude.

MUST TAKE. one of the best teacher in Abington. He only grades the test. and the test is sososososo easy. i just look over my note before the exam. Each time i barely spend less than an hour. Best history teacher ever.

This was a very easy class and attendance is not mandatory although being in class is helpful. He's an easy grader and there's no homework or classwork just 3 test. He gives all the terms that might appear on a test and select a few off the list; they are easy to determine because he puts emphasis on important lessons. I hope I can take him again!

Luke is THE best history professor at Abington. Literally everyone should take him. Tests are blue book and he lets you pick what terms you want to be on it. He'll tell you that there's a paper but he'll cancel it at the end of the semester. Absolute must take. I'm going to miss his classes!

This professor probably the most interesting and funny teacher out of all the professors in Abington. He's makes history seems fun and is also very helpful. There's no textbook; everything you need will be given in class lectures and he does take attendance. I had nor problem with that cause I enjoyed going to class! Highly recommended

Professor Santoro is well-spoken, hilariously sardonic and an expert on the subject of Nazi Germany. Class periods were structured around his lectures, which were fast-paced, but very informative and easy to understand. This is a professor who wants you to succeed. He'll throw a century-worth of info at you in 1 hr, but in a way that is digestible.

Great teacher! Even the longer lectures aren't boring and the class is pretty enjoyable. Just listen and think about what he says, the lectures are funny and interesting and conversation-like. Best teacher I've had, take his classes if you can!

Professor Santoro is by far the best professor I have ever had. He never reads from a power point or from notes, he know his subject matter so well he just speaks it. It is as if he is just having an intellectual conversation with you rather than giving you a lecture. He is very funny and will make everyone laugh and provides such great insight.

Take him, especially if you are interested in history. Extremely interesting, intelligent, funny, and his exams are the easiest ones I have ever taken. You will definitely enjoy this class.

So here's the rub, he's a good guy but the class is pretty much just him rambling on about whatever is on his mind that day. It's hard not to do well in his class but just be prepared for his unstructured, "throw everything at a wall and see what sticks" style of teaching.

This guy is the man. He literally makes history amazingly fun. He curses, talks about drinking beer, and teaches about his expertise in Germany all at the same time. Take this guy as often as possible.

This Professor gets it, He understands college is a learning experience and not a make or break challenge. He will take you through history better than watching a History channel special!

Good Teacher

He's an awesome guy and fun to talk to but his teaching style is too casual for me. Only because he doesn't use power points or handouts he just talks like he's telling a super long story and you try and write down every single thing. I'm was never really a fan of history but I'd say he's deff an easy b, a if you're familiar with the material.

Luke is the best professor i have had so far. He makes lectures very easy to pay attention to and likes to keep them light. He is very easy going. I am not a huge fan of history but i would 100% take another history class with him.

Coming to class is a must!(But class is so enjoyable its worth coming in and taking some notes.)There are no powerpoint slides or any type of structured "chapters". Luke is a wealth of knowledge, each class feels like you're apart of a conversation, not like you're are being lectured at. No homework, no quizzes just three noncumulative tests.

Professor Santoro is amazing and an excellent professor to take. He is super chill and approachable. He doesn't do power points so be prepared to listen and have a discussion, but he's pretty concise with everything he talks about. He has three exams that are all essay based so make sure the notes you take are decent!

This man is very caring and always makes sure that he does everything for the classes interest. When you take him you will be receiving your best from him each and everyday, with a little bit of life lessons mixed into each lecture. Sometimes he says some really funny stuff to so you can enjoy that as well . But 10/10 would recommend and do again.

Optional attendance but you want to attend because his laid-back style of teaching provides for a fun and engaging learning environment. No PPT slides or material given. His lectures are more informal like a conversation. Only graded on a few exams which are very open-ended.

Luke is the actual GOAT. He doesn't assign homework, only tests - which are pretty easy. While in class, he sits on his desk and talks about the topics we go over, which he is very knowledgable and about. He is also a super cool and lovable guy. He sometimes gets a little political, but it's never heavy and he's pretty humble with it.

This professor is hands down the best I've had at Penn State. There is no homework, just online essay tests that he makes sure you understand the topic for really well. He's great at making class interesting he's funny and keeps things from getting boring. Overall, just a super sweet guy.

I love luke. If all professors were like luke I would love college. So funny, makes lectures fun and almost like stories not history. He's so passionate and smart, he really knows what he talking about. He cares about his students. You wont regret taking this course. Easy A and you get to have a class where you're not wanting to off yourself.

I've taken two classes with Luke and he's actually a legend. I'm a stem major but I can and will take every class I can with him. Just come to class and take some notes and you'll be good. He doesn't give hw and only has 3 tests that are open note and taken at home. The only thing is he doesn't believe in 100s but just pay attention you'll get an A
