This professor is hard to omprehend on a weekly basis, however when he is taken on a monthly basis (through the video course), the class cannot be easier.

He is not the ype of profesor you want to take for a class like this. He made this class seem boring and uninteresting. His lectures put you to sleep and for the writing credit your paper has to be done on the text. The tests are easy however and there are alot of chances to gain points.

Great teacher, gives you tons of opportunites to get an A in the class, gives u notes for tests and quizes twice a week or so which is good since he grades w/a point back system so a 1 still helps ur grade to add to the whole. Great teacher , droppes a test too. if u sleep in class u can get a B!

Dr. Balzora is brilliant; this class is not for the mindless morons. for those who have spoken ill of Balzora, they do not see concepts past what is right in front of their face. He teaches the essence of religion and life. He is too intelligent for many of the negative (ignorant) students at BCC

Dr. Balzora is very intelligent and very enthusiastic about what he is teaching. There is a lot of reading, but he doesn't expect you to know it by heart, just to at least skim over it. Very easy quizzes and lots of them (many with a possible 10 out of 5!), of which he drops three. Add 10 pts to your average with the writing credit.

I think mr.Balzora is awesome. his class may seem confusing the first lecture, but after the first class,you will find out the he is a great teacher and his tests are rather easy, n reason not to do well in his class. definitely recommended!!!

One of the best teachers I've ever had!! He really helps you if you come to his office and he cares more about you understanding the basis of the religion than passing the tests. He won't move on until everyone understands. He is not biased at all and you will love his class.

Look no further. This IS the teacher to pick for REL2300. Fair tests, tons of extra credit opportunities and many field-trips. You can't help but get an A in this class. All you have to do is read the book, show up and do the occasional quizzes for extra credit too. The guy is also fun, fair and likes to teach.

It's funny to see these negative ratings for Mr.Balzora- One of the only teachers at BCC that I came to respect and admire in his teaching skill, and his ability to actually hold my interest. I'm not a great student, but Balzora makes it easy by making it fun. Don't listen to these negative rankings, Balzora is a wonderful, creative teacher.

O.k. here is the deal. You will be probably confused whole the semester, but you will end up with an A! He offers tons of extra points, gives out take-home quizzes and gives out study notes! Tests are straight forward, no surprises! I personally LOVED his class, very relaxing!!!!!

Balzora is a pretty cool kind. His class is a bit on the boring side though. You will be confused and bored throughout the class but read the book, especially the definitions of the words, study his hand out and you will be fine on the tests. Even if you don't do so well on the tests, go to ALL the extra credit events. Good Luck!

ok this guy made no sense but he was really nice and I got an "A" I did not study just cheated> I wrote all the answers on little pieces of paper and pulled it out during test. he did not notice and even if he did I do not think he would have done anything. Lots of field trips and extra credit

Balora lower than great. i finish his class with a B, because of myself not his fault. if u need to know about Religion and religions, and an A for your GPA, it highly recommended to take DR. Lulrick is a great guy, really cool and understanding. He's a true philosopher but i think he does too much rambling, emphasizes on the obvious. This class isnt easy by any means. I didnt dedicate as much time as i needed. If you wanna pass attend class, read the book, taking notes is so hard because of the rambles. Use the Extra Credit Feild Trips

Loved his open approach to religion, encourage students to analyze and think about doctrines. If you pay attention to the class (take plenty of notes) and read the concepts you'll do fine. I got an A!!

Listen to me, this class is in fact an easy A, Balzora does talk you in cicles, and he does twist your answers around, and he does get you confused if you are either close-minded, or retarded. He teaches differently form other teachers focusing more on opening up your mind to many different points of views as opposed to spouting facts.

I had online REL2300 class.If you'll read a text book and do weekly assignments, you'll definitely get an "A".Just follow the sylabus. A lot of extra credits. It's hard to fail. And his personality is also great. He'll always ready to help.

Dr. Balzora truly knows what he is talking about with regards to religion. I loved his religion class. I left his class being able to remember some of the key points of the religions we talked about.

Dr. B is a great professor. I have to admit I was lost the first half of the semester with his something/nothing theory. We never used the book in class but you NEED it to take the online quizzes.He gives bunches of extra credit visits to temples. He even took us to a restaurant!. He is a cool guy and will challenge you to think outside the box!!

My favorite professor of all time! Seriously Dr. B is the absolute best! You'd be a fool not to take his classes!!! I got an A and learned more in his class than any other i have ever taken!

Online class is SUPER easy. 12 quizzes, 2 exams, and 6 short answer assignments. You can do the quizzes and exams at your own pace but the 6 assignments have due dates (usually once a week). Also there is a chance for a good amount of extra credit if you need it. Easy A!

Dr. Balzora is pleasant and smart. You don't have to read the book. Just go to class & take good notes. Also, the assignments, quizzes, and tests are super easy! I truly loved this class and enjoyed the visits we took to various religious organizations throughout S. Florida. This was definitely one of the most interesting classes I?ve ever taken.

I took this class online; I took it in section 3 of Summer. You have to read a lot, 12 chapters, and do 12 quizzes. You also have 2 major assignments and 6 mandatory assingments. It is a lot of work, but if you keep up with it, you will be fine. The professor is very nice, and he answers your questions.

(Online class) Dr. B. is very involved; answers questions and emails, and contributes to discussion posts. A lot of reading and course materials online and assignments require thought. Unit quizzes are from book material, and if you read and did well on the quizzes, no problem with the midterm and final. Recommended for humanities requirement.

Here is the blatant truth. If you're looking for an easy grade. This may be for you. However this class will inspire you to think and actually put thought into what you do. A lot of work and writing will be put into the course so be forewarned. Don't get sloppy or lazy. He is a highly intelligent, extremely helpful, and a sincere professor.

"World Religions" with Dr. Balzora was the most thought-provoking class I have taken in my college career. I thouroughly enjoyed it and learned so much. He doesn't take attendance, but large chunks of the midterm and final are based on in-class discussions, so it helps to be there for those. Stay on top of reading & online assignments too. Not hard

Dr. B is an awesome person. There were some pretty good movies you are supposed to watch. You actually have to do a lot of online assignments, but you can answer the questions according to the way you understood and interpreted the lessons. If you want to learn and actually get a good grade, take him :) Just 6 weeks during summer:)

Balzora is a great guy. The class is overall easy but at the same time, it's a lot of work. There are a lot of online assignments due. The final paper is an extent of the midterm which is a sum of your reflections (which are due online) "Make it as long as IT NEEDS to be, I don't wanna read fluff" So it's basically easy, I got an A without the book

I took this class online before I was even a senior in high school AND in a condensed version, yet managed to receive an A. Reading the textbook is a must in order to pass online but I didn't mind considering how fascinating the class was. Very easy class and responsive teacher.

Professor Balzora is absolutely amazing. He helped me with letters of recommendation and his class in general was more fun than anything. He engages well with students. The exams seem difficult at first but he walks you through the content fairly easily. My only downside is that he didn't explain Islam in a positive light like the other religions.

Prof Balzora has created a 12 Module course that is so thought-provoking and engaging. It is by no means EASY. The workload is tremendous. It is deceiving because there are mandatory and optional assignments, discussions and quizzes. Beware of submitting late. Optional is not really optional. Very difficult to get an A. More realistic B.

Professor Balzora is the best. I took him for an accelerated honors course. It is accelerated and honors so you must keep up & do the work. The online quizzes are easy and you can use your notes. He does give you a midterm & final but will do a review in lecture form two classes prior. Just listen & you'll know what to look forward to on the test.

I took Professor Balzora's online class and I really enjoyed it. No textbook! He teaches by interesting videos and articles or passages. He is generous with extra points if you show you put effort into the assignments. No due dates on quizzes or tests, but there is for assignments. Fun class!

I don't think anyone would want to take a professor that is an "easy A" such classes are not challenging and are for people that divide their time between school and work. Dr. B is someone who's class you take and would want to quit your job because of the way he engages a student. I have never seen such an outstanding professor and he's my #1

Dr. Balzora was a great professor. How much you like his lectures will depend on what you want to know: It you want the barebones version of a religion, then don't take him. But if you want to know a lot about a religion, then definitely take him. He is very knowledgeable, and the best part is that he is not a jerk when you ask questions.

Great professor! responds quickly and there are lots of extra credits. The discussions are easy and he lets you pick any topic out of the units. The units are clear and in order. Quizzes and exams are doable. I would take him again!

This professor is great! My favorite thing was that he gave me great feedback on all my assignments. This class has a lot of work, but it is very interesting and provides great potential for your grade!

Where to begin with Dr. Balzora? He is a wonderful Professor. I wasn't prepared to learn everything I did in such a short amount of time - I mean this in a great way! He gives so many resources & extra credit assignments that there should be no reason not to pass his class. It's a lot of reading & videos but all worth it because you learn so much!

Straight forward criteria, finish your assignments, discussions, and quizzes on time and you'll do well.

Unless you are following a religion or phylosophy major, do not take him. He answered promptly and might be a great professor. He is flexible and helpful BUT IT IS WAY TOO MUCH DIFFICULT WORK AND READINGS. You have to watch dozens of videos and assignments (wich BTW are very difficult to find, instructions) are complicated.
