One of the best accounting teachers at Univ of Calgary. If you put in effort she will notice you. Her notes and her lectures are amazing. Must take for 217! Her lectures and notes are excellent! She always starts with explaining the notes posted before class, then she proceeds to do some exercises from the book with the entire class. Best prof!

Professor Enache is great. Brilliant woman and her class is very example-based. Her notes are awesome and she makes the subject matter engaging. I highly recommend her! Awesome professor who really cares and helps a bunch!

Prof Enache is one of the best professors i've had at UofC. Her lectures are example based, meaning she works through a lot of sample problems. Her tests are difficult but not impossible. If you actually study the notes and materials, you will do well. Also, she's like the nicest person ever and genuinely cares for her students. I Loved her class!

I highly recommend Prof Enache. She makes her own notes that are well-written, concise, and include everything you'll need to do well in exams. She answers questions there at all hours of the day. Her lectures are well-structured and organized, and she's very enthuastic about the subject.

I love Professor Enache! She was one of my favorites at UofC so far. I thought I wouldn't like accounting, but to my surprise I found myself getting into it. You won't need the book much because she covers everything you need to know in lectures, reviews so make sure you actually go. She's funny and helpful and I'm glad I had her for ACCT 217.

Luminita is the best prof I've had in university so far. She goes above and beyond to make sure that students understand the course material, she actually cares about her students, and she is hilarious. If I could take every accounting class with her, I would.

BEST TEACHER FOR THIS COURSE! ACCT 217 is a difficult class and students seem to blame the teachers for their poor grades. Lectures are amazing, she makes her own notes which are clear and cover ALL the material. Cares for students and is accessible outside of class. There is no grade for attendance but I highly recommend you show up to class.

Great teacher. She really wants her students to succeed. She is always available outside class and gives good feedback. Wish she would teach other accounting classes so I can take her again. Very intelligent lady, very dedicated to all the students, quickly responding to q's on emails. You will have to do your fair share of the work for this class.

Luminita is simply the best prof I've ever had. She is super helpful, really cares about her students, gives examples that will appear on the test and carefully ensures that she drills all the key concepts. Attend lectures-all of them, do the assignments, go to tutorials, and read the textbook prior to class. She does examples in class. THE BEST!!!

Luminita is a great Prof. Kind, helpful, funny, and supportive. Wish all profs were like her. She made accounting easily understandable and (honestly) interesting. Not sure if the class was truly easy or if she just taught it so well she made it seem that way... Know the"practice" questions and the slides she suggests like the back of your hand : )

Luminita is such a great prof, she is truly the only acct prof I recommend taking any accounting class with. She explains the material in a way that makes it understandable. Tips for success: TEXTBOOK, HER NOTES, REVIEWS, attend class because she says things in class that appear on the tests that the people who don't go are at a disadvantage.

Luminita is a really good professor. Explains things very clearly and is respectful and caring to students. What's being tested on the exams are explained very clearly. She likes to give a bit of time to the class to work on questions given after teaching the lecture material, which is nice. Her notes are so good that I hardly used the textbook.

Luminita is an amazing prof. She makes life soo much easier. Many seniors said that this course would be devastating but I honestly loved it. Attend ALL Lectures because she will explain things in a way that just clicks! I looked at the textbook once. She gives a lot of practice in class. Her exams can be hard if you don't study.

The best professor ive ever had. Made a genuine connection with her and feel like I can ask her any question if i'm confused. cares for her students if you care too. I learned more from her class than anywhere else, and she transformed my tolerance of Accounting into a passion. Very inspirational, would love to learn from her again.

Professor Enache is my favorite professor at UoC. She is so inspirational to all of her students and she really takes the time and effort to ensure that each student understands the material. It is very rare that you come across a Professor that truly cares about the students more than the class and I would take Professor Enache again any time.

For a course that was very tough to me, Luminita made it a lot easier. She cares about her students success. She does call out on people randomly in class, but if you show her respect will reciprocate it. She goes through the slides quickly as there is a lot of material, tests can be hard, but if you put in the work you will get a good grade.

Smart lady. Lectures are pretty intense but engaging and be prepared to be called on multiple times throughout the semester- you could be mocked if you don't know the answer. Lectures and assignments are NOT sufficient to do well on tests- you really have to know your stuff. Use all Wiley resources, ASA books, etc. One of the better ACCT profs.

Luminita is an amazing professor and cares about students actually learning. She puts it lots of extra time to meet with you outside of class if you need it (online or in person). She also has a lot of real-world experience that makes accounting more interesting to learn. If you have a chance then you should take her class.

Luminita is an incredible professor. Her class is very well-organized. Take notes from the power points before class, read the textbook when you don't understand the slides. Go to class with notes ready so you can sit back and listen. Do these 3 things and you will understand the material and do well on the quizzes.

Luminita is an awesome professor. I would take any course that she teaches. She is very knowledgable, articulate, funny, and personable. she goes out of her way to be accessible and provides great materials, concept definitions, reviews of what she is teaching. She gave us all of the PowerPoints up front, before class and excellent lectures.

Amazing professor! So sweet and considerate of her students in terms of them understanding the material. Makes it very easy to succeed in her class if you pay attention, do practice problems, and study. Pretty lenient grader too.

Although this is a hard class, Prof Enache made it as easy as she could. Attendance wasn't mandatory but had random attendance quizzes across the semester. She made exams as straightforward as possible and gave us a practice test and study guide with the specific concepts that would be on it. She's super smart and very approachable.

Really great prof - taught me how to think about a company's financials in an entirely new way. Most I've ever learnt in a finance/accounting class. Assignments are long but help you learn the material. Textbook optional - her own written readings tell you everything you need to know.

Some students might be unhappy because she expects you to read and know the material, not just to pass. She teaches solidly and knows her material so questions asked will be answered. Do the homework and work! Then you will get an A.

Enache was a wonderful accounting teacher. I would 100% recommend her to any student. She recognizes grit and yes, her exams are hard. She is a fast teacher but I found her pace to be refreshing. She is extremely helpful in office hours and will in-depth answer questions in class, you just have to ask. She is so positive and caring.

Prof. Luminita is a great choice for ACCT217. She is very thoughtful when it comes to her students, and will work her office hours around your schedule in order to help you. Her exams may be harder, but that just pushes you to work harder and learn more about accounting. She is caring and knows all the names of the students.

Enache is a good teacher but she tests us as if we are going to get our CPA in the next two months. Assignments and textbook are very helpful but sometimes instructions on the exams can be confusing and some questions can be extremely challenging too.

Always has a smile, and is always enthusiastic to teach. She was very well organized, and was caring enough to spend time before class walking around attempting to learn her students names. Great professor

Some students don't want to put in the effort to learn so they expect just an easy ride. This is not a class for an easy ride. Get ready to study.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! I was in another prof class & did not understand her method of teaching; it didn't work. but, Luminita is amazing. She explained things in a way that made so much sense to me. ANY time I or anyone else had a question, she would readily and HAPPILY answer it! ANY time I emailed her, she would reply very quickly. TAKE HER!!!

OH SHE WAS AMAZING So kind, so helpful, so supportive... Her lecture slides are so organized, and the lecture itself is also so easy to understand! Midterm 2 was damn hard, but the final was very fine. She is a great person, and also a great professor. I was so lucky to have her as my prof!

Professor Enache genuinely cares about her students, she wants them to succeed. She provides so many resources to do well in this class like PASS, Tutorials, ASA, Wileyplus, and more. Just fair warning that this class requires lots of time to do well, and she can be aggressive if you answer her questions wrong. Its just because she cares however.

Luminita was by far one of my favorite professors this semester. Accounting is a difficult subject but she makes it understandable. This class is not easy but she does a great job making things clear. She gives great feedback through email and in person and always has time for students.

Professor Luminita Enache is a genuine professor who wants to prepare you for the outside world. You are graded by very view things with about 80-90% of your overall grade on 3 exams, but she provides plenty of resources like tutorials and Wileyplus so that you can do well. The exams are fair, but the key to success is spend lots of time studying.

Great prof and great course overall. Lots of reading. If you come to class though you'll be alright because she is amazing at explaining and is helpful lots of office hours. This is a fairly straightforward course. Luminita is great at explaining topics and concepts to those who have had no prior knowledge in accounting.

Professor Luminita Enache was a very understanding ad nice professor and gave many examples of different questions every class; this made it easier to understand the material and helped on the midterms. ACCT 217 is a content heavy class, so be prepared to do many practice questions and consistently stay on top of things.

Luminita was the most caring prof. I had difficulties understanding some concepts and she immediately offer to help. I am now considering majoring in accounting after I took the class with her. She is amazing in the lectures and brings guest speakers to class.

For a first-year business class, ACCT 217 is pretty hard. It's probably the class you should spend most of your time studying for. If you keep this in mind when approaching the course, then you can succeed. Luminita teaches very, very well and goes over tricky concepts slowly and clearly and makes sure you grasp.

The reviews are not showing up how much this professor cares of her students. Lectures were fun and engaging throughout the semester. She provides extra marks, always answered my emails on time.

Enache is a decent professor. She provides more additional resources on D2L than any other professor you will have, and is willing to re-explain the same topic as many times as it takes. However, she is noticeably arrogant, forcing students to read her own papers as course material and lashing out when she "doesn't get the respect she deserves"

One of the most helpful and caring professors. Took the time to explain concepts as if no one had any prior knowledge of them, which was helpful for those of us (like me) who didn't. All her lectures were super engaging.

She explains VERY well the concepts and as for me it was my first accounting class. very clear, super nice. Her exams were completely reasonable. Recommend.
