i love this teacher. this is a class for people who actually want to go to college. its not for little kids who waste their parents money. i loved her teaching and her realness. Shes an amazing teacher.

I could not have made it through any of my classes this semester without her support and understanding. This class takes a lot of time! But you get out what you put in. Not a class for lazy whiners but serious students. Real Cabrillo Quality.

She makes you work hard but is very fair. A lot of people don't like that she wants her class to think. They don't have to agree with her but they do have to think! A lot of students want to remain robots and get away with doing as little work as possible. She does a great job humanizing a boring subject. She will make you work but it is worth it.

It's midterms and I'm exhausted. I wouldn't be able to keep going without Ms. Graecyns support and understanding.She does her best to make things fun, and she's always willing to work with you. Give her a chance and she'll give you a chance.

I don't get the confusion. All the assignments were crystal clear to me. I had fun in this class and I think I learned a lot. A lot of work. Keep up on it and it's not too hard. She was always willing to help and had some pretty good ideas.

Lydia was a sub for our teacher who went out on maternity leave. At first she freaked the class out because she was totally left field from the previous teacher, but she won us over. Show up to class on time, do your homework, take her feedback and you will succeed.

Interesting teacher. Was funny and a nice lady. Taught me a lot about how to write a flowing essay (only 4 short essays all semester). I enjoyed going to her class, when she had it. If you have the opportunity to be in her class, take it! There is homework due for every class but it's not overwhelmingly challenging and what you are assigned to read is actually interesting. Ms. graecyn had a personal tragedy early on which threw the semester off. Still she always made time to help and I did end up learning a lot. I think the next english class will be easier because of what she taught me.

This was my first English class in a while, and it was less like a class and more like a get together. She let the class focus on what the students wanted to talk about and really challenged my ideas, in a good way. I ended up learning how to write an "academic" essay and little bit about a lot of random new things.

Professor Graecyn has strong opinions and a lot of them. That should NOT scare you. Speak up she will respect you and maybe change her mind. I heard students whining outside of class just because she held them accountable. Strict on late work and due dates change, so go to class. Participate and class is fun. Don't and she gets grumpy.

People seem to love Graecyn or hate her. There is homework due for every class but its usually interesting. If you don't do the homework, then the lecture and videos won't make much sense and you'll end up confused. I thought the topics were pretty interesting . Stay on top of the calendar! She changes due dates.

Lydia is a great professor. She cares a lot about both the subject matter and the students. She is amazing at teaching how reading, writing, and popular culture are key to understanding the human condition. There's a lot of reading so make sure you schedule that. She's very reasonable with assignments but no late work.

Decent teacher. She has a lot of students and doesn't hold your hand but you can see her at office hours. That being said, it's not a difficult class but expect to do a fair amount of writing. Make sure you check your email!

This class blew my mind! definitely NOT what I was expecting. Yeah, sometimes she went off topic but it connects to something in the end. This class was pretty easy. You get a lot of points for just doing the work no matter if it's right or wrong. So, if you just show up and do the work you can get a good grade. The class did improve my writing

Lots of small writing assignments but what do you expect from an English class. She's very understanding in the problems people are facing. As long as you do your work, you'll get a passing grade. Though she grades a bit harder on the bigger projects. As long as you pay attention to what she wants, it should be easy.

Do not be deterred by the revews!They are very harsh and unjustified. I am an African American Student and never once did I feel unsafe or disrespected. She had a clear message to respect eachother and be kind to our fellow humans. After her class I feel like a more prepared and organzied student since she held us accountable for work/due dates.

I took Prof, Graecyn's English 1A class last semester online. I really enjoyed the class. I found the subject matter relevant, loved the way the class was set up, and while there was a lot of essays to write it was totally manageable. I also found Prof. Graecyn to be really encouraging and funny, and an all around compassionate good teacher.

I took Ms. Graecyn's English 2 online and had a very positive experience. She was really willing to help and cared. I got to write about what interests me. No text book. If you want to succeed, make a schedule of your time for the class. My grade went from C to A when I did.

I appreciate this course makes you think. It made writing papers more interesting and I learned a lot about writing but other things too. I liked the part about "Augmented Realism." I loved Prof Graecyn! She's super sweet and very engaging. The materials we analyzed were all relevant to current events and a lot of the sources were videos/docs which I really enjoyed. There's about 2 250 word discussions each week, plus 2 100 words replies for each of those, which is kinda of tedious. But oh well :P No late work accepted though!

I appreciated that the material was all about the world today like corona virus and racism. My biggest take away was all the different perspectives I learned about. I feel better able to think and discuss issues now. Assignments were clear, fun, and not too much.

I took ENG 1A during the summer so it was very condensed. She is an amazing teacher and provides with all the tools you need to pass the class. Everything was online and you MUST participate in all discussions. I thought her class was very well organized and as long as you do the work its an easy class.

I really liked how the prompts for the discussion posts and essay assignments were very straight forward and not too broad but you were always able to make your answers uniquely your own/ Overall this was a great class and I'm glad I was able to be apart of it!

Professor Graecyn has a good teaching style, her class is straightforward. I really enjoyed the topics she would give us it was honestly really interesting. I didn't really enjoy writing at first, overall her teaching style made me love it. She does offer some extra credit assignments and every assignment truly helps you understand the material
