She is focused more on the format of the assignments instead of the content. If the format is not followed perfectly she will take 50% off each time. I didn't put a page number on an assignment and she thought it was the end of the world. Don't expect this class to be easy especially because it requires a group project even though it is online.
This class was ridiculous. The professor is so strict on formatting every assignment that I spent more time formatting than actually learning. The group project sucks just because it's online. She took years to grade and feedback didn't make sense. But I didn't buy the book so that was a plus, and the quizzes were on Google. Content easy.
Grades entirely on formatting of extremely time consuming assignments. Extremely hard to contact. Wont reply to your email unless it is UNT account. Wont reply to your email if you don't put the subject exactly as she requires. Grade feedback makes little to no sense. Grades harshly and will take off 50% of the grade for minor formatting issues.
This course itself isn't difficult, but you do have to work hard for a good grade. There's an online group project which isn't ideal at all. Just make sure to pick a group that will work with you. All in all she's a good professor who's passionate about marketing. She does offer a lot of extra credit so that's always nice.
I had this professor as a TA before and I knew she was rude, but it wasn't until this class that I realized how awful she was. Requires you to use specific format for email, but won't follow her own guidelines when responding (if she even responds). Her grading is RIDICULOUS. She doesn't care about content, more about irrelevant template. AVOID!
The semester started off very confusing, there were a lot of misunderstandings among her and the students, so once she got tired of it she created strict guidelines for every assignment, and if they weren't followed to the T you would get points taken off. Also if you take this class online make sure to check blackboard every Sunday. Always.
This professor requires you to turn in an attendance post, discussion post, assignment, and quiz every week. The semester-long group project isn't terrible, but it seems that our professor cared more about formatting than the actual content. She expects improvement but doesn't provide constructive feedback on assignments that are turned in.
The email replies that I received from her throughout the semester were not friendly. Guidelines for assignments aren't completely clear, but she expects nothing less than perfection. Instead of having PDF files on blackboard, she made sure every document must be downloaded, saved to your computer, and opened in Word. Just plain annoying.
The professor seems challenging online but if you meet with her in person she is very friendly and helpful. She cares about the students succeeding and holds them to these expectations. Her grading is strict on formatting which can be a bit frustrating, however it is this way to push us into a professional direction. Overall I think she is good.
Her instructions are always vague, but she expects everything to perfectly fit her format. Perfect formatting is expected for everything and it isn't APA or MLA, it is something she made up. There is an online group project that is pretty crazy and online attendance, discussions, assignments, and quizzes weekly and really fast paced exams.
I loved that the project was broken into parts. it helped reduce a lot of work.
Honestly, the class isn't difficult and the content itself isn't confusing. I've seen way too many reviews on here stating how this online class is chaotic and there's no structure to the deadlines. That's B.S. Just follow her simple instructions on formatting, which aren't difficult, and check blackboard often. It's that simple.
The class itself is not hard, it is extremely straightforward and the deadlines are very reasonable and available. READ the book, do the assignments, and follow the template and it's an easy A. Check blackboard everyday and follow instructions to the T for full points. Doesn't reply to emails too fast, after a week just send her follow up.
The projects and homework due dates are very clear and she strictly follows her syllabus. My biggest issue was that the directions for the group projects and assignmnets were very vague and you would get marked down for something you didn't understand. If the directions were clearer I would recommend this class.
The weekly assignments are easy and straight out of the book but are just busy work. The group project is detailed and time consuming. The expectations aren't 100% clear and feedback given isn't detailed enough to correct anything for a better grade. You have to consistently work on everything. It's way too much for an online class.
It's a very easy class overall, however I do wish she was more clear in some of her directions.
She has very specific rules for formatting and what she wants, but can be vague with directions. Has assignments, discussions, attendance, and quizzes every week. There is a major group project throughout the semester. She also seems like a very nice professor, but her emails come across as unfriendly. Does have lots of extra credit.
No exams, just quizzes and weekly assignments as well as one big project we work on all semester. Easy class if you have a good group for the project.
Ms. Njoroge shows her care in our class by constantly asking for feedback to make sure we understand what is going on in the lecture. She gives relevant examples to better our learning and is an average grader. She's lax but also makes sure we are paying attention. I recommend her class! Not too hard, good information.
I took her online and she's honestly the worst person to communicate with virtually. She's picky about how you email her, kind of condescending through text, and an obnoxiously strict grader. But in person she is very helpful and pretty nice. So it's a mixed bag. This class had tons of busy work and a tedious project but no tests at least.
The professor is a nice person.. Meeting her in person is better than just communicating through emails. The class itself just has a TON of busy work. Have a big group project at the end of the semester. You have assignments, discussion boards, quizzes every single week. Worst online class to take for a graduating senior.
Class itself is not hard, however it definitely requires a lot of work. She is a strict grader, especially about formatting, but does not always give clear details or instructions for what she wants. Hard to get a response from email. If you don't read through every beginning of semester document, you will miss assignments. Gives fair extra credit.
I had a lot of fun in Ms. Njorge's class, she can be a lot of fun to joke around with in class but is good about staying on topic and covering all of the content we need to cover. We were allowed to get the 6th edition of the textbook to save money, but it doesn't have the same content as the 7th, which she uses to make the tests, so avoid it.
Although this was an online class, Professor Njoroge was quick to respond when contacted and uploaded videos which clarified assignments and projects.
Following directions down to the last punctuation mark is far more important to her than the actual content of the course. I failed to learn anything because I found myself more worried if I put the correct header so I would avoid receiving a 50% penalty.
Definitely one of the more fun teachers I've had. She made the lectures enjoyable, which is more than I can say for most of my professors. She also gives several extra credit opportunities. Read the chapters and show up to class. You'll be fine. One gripe is that she didn't give feedback for 2 parts of the project, so we dont know how to improve it
Very good in class while giving lectures and at engaging the class. Requires textbook to be brought to class everyday for attendance, which is annoying to lug around all day before and after. Hard to get feedback via email but helpful during office hours.
this wasn't your usual blow off online class. the class itself is not very difficult and the teacher is very helpful you just have 4 things due almost every week. its an attendance post, discussion post, quiz, and activity most is pretty easy just time consuming. so all in all not a hard class just not a blow off.
Weekly coursework is not hard. But group project could be depending on if you have decent classmates in your group. My group always met up to work on the project assignments so it was not really hard either.
This class is not an easy class, but you won't regret taking it. The teacher is very knowledgable with the topics and is always more than willing to help out her students. She may seem tough at first, but she is willing to answer your questions. I would take this teacher again.
This class for me was challenging but was very manageable. There is no homework or quizzes, there are just exams and a group project that you complete throughout the semester and then submit the final project at the end of the semester. Overall I'd highly recommend this class! Ms. Njoroge was a fantastic teacher and was very helpful!
Pros: - Straight Forward - Consistent - Extra Credit Cons: - Late feedback on projects and assignments - Reduces a lot of points for formatting
this professor is straight forward. she comes off as tough and intimidating however she must in order to make a point at the beginning of the semester. she is very consistent, loves to interact in lectures. i advise taking this professor if you like no homework, want tons of extra credit, and simple test (as long as you pay attention)
Professor Njoroge is an okay professor. Her overall course work isn't hard. There is a group project, no major tests, just a weekly assignments and attendance. Getting a hold of her is difficult. You have to use your UNT email and have to compose it in a certain way. It is quite inconvenient. Some extra credit available but not worth a lot.
She is a tough grader, and is particular about minute details. Doesn't matter if the information is correct, if there are any small clerical errors, you will be severely punished. Classwork is easy. Most students say she is a pleasure to deal with in person, but her online class is slightly condescending and repetitive. Minimal extra credit.
She is very particular about the formatting of assignments and posts on the forum and if you consistently make the same mistakes she will take points off. It can get annoying, but she provides detailed instructions for each assignment which will help you get the hang of it. There is some extra credit, but I wish it was more substantial.
Professor Njoroge's class consisted of a group project that you work throughout the semester, and four exams (optional final exam). She does take attendance through daily exercise and having the text. She will require you to have a textbook. I suggest finding your cheapest option. It is not reading heavy class. Her lectures are entertaining.
Overall great class and great professor. She's a tough grader when it comes to format but very fair. She also gives a good amount of extra credit. Would take again.
Professor Njoroge is a mix between a professional and mature instructor and just a fun tutor. She is very knowledgable and always wants to make sure her students understand the material. She's tough on phones, having the textbook, and attendance, but she's great. Would definitely recommend and would take her again (but not online)
This was a fun class and a great way to end my last semester at UNT. This is the type of professor that will actually stop, and take time to address a question that a class in confused about before moving on to the next topic. Lectures were hilarious and awesome conversations in class too!
Took her for Advertising Management 3660 lecture. This is probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is super caring and is always available for out of class discussions. She is even willing to help with other related courses which was awesome. Show up to class, don't be lazy, and actually try. Simple as that...
I took her Marketing Advertising Course 3660 online. Always maintain solid email connections with her, along with feeling free to see her during her Office Hours. She is always willing to answer questions, help out, & wants to bring out the best for all of us. I appreciated it a lot, & would highly recommend to any students.
Very Helpful
Detailed / hard grader. Gives you ample opportunity for extra credit. Works with you and will make time to meet. There's a lot of work but it's not difficult if you read the chapters!
Pros: EC. Very Quick Email response at all times, Optional Final that can replace lower test grade, Willing to listen to student ideas for the class. Average Exams Cons: HAVE TO MAKE IT TO CLASS, looses focus in lectures,--often from trying to force answers out of students who don't want to be called, Semester long Group Project.
There are several different types of assignments for each week, so it is extremely important to keep track of your own check list. There is an attendance submission, 2 different weekly assignments, quiz, and pretty tough and time consuming group project.
You have to stay on top of your work and make sure that you read the instructions before doing the assignments
Njoroge at first seems like a tough professor but she let's her standards and expectations known. Worked on a project with a partner all semester with parts due throughout the semester. Overall this professor was great. I would suggest taking her if you attended classes and like to participate. Also take her in person, online is more difficult.
She expects a lot from you, but makes sure you have easy access to everything you need to succeed. She's a student too, so she gets our struggle and it shows in her style. She'll spend hours with you if she has to, just to make sure you're in the best position to pass. She evolves when a flaw is revealed, so she'll be even better when you take her.
It was a good class but honestly if you mess up with the online assignments in an way shape or form on format then you're pretty screwed. If not then you're solid and will be fine in the class
Professor Nioroge was somewhat difficult but she made class entertaining. She didn't have the attitude of all work no fun. I enjoyed this class and would recommend her. Plus, she brought cake for the class for all of the students graduating. Talk about passionate.
Just another course for my major. Nothing to rave about, nothing to complain about.
Not the best, not the worst. Is very picky about formatting issues, but just follow the format and there won't be problems.
Class isn't too hard if you apply yourself. Lots of busy work though.
This class was so poorly organized. The work was confusing with all the requirements that it was hard to keep track off. I did not agree with having a group project on an online class.
Class is stupid easy! I got an A with very little effort, do the work, don't fall behind, can't get ahead so make sure you do everything by the deadline and make sure you don't miss a step. Class was very unorganized, her instructions are super vague, hard to understand exactly what she wanted, group project was easy but her feedback was AWFUL!!!
Class is easy if you really think about it. However, the class assignments are very disorganized and it is easy to miss things. Also, too many assignments due each week, including a group project and if there is only you in the group, the work multiplies and she doesn't care, she wants it done no matter what. I wish she was more flexible.
This professor assigns lots of homework and is a very tough grader, and she is not helpful at all. Everytime I reached out to her I either recieved no response, or she replied with a rude email. I had to work very hard in this class and even still I feel like I didn't learn anything.
She had our final project due 3 days before the semester ended, told us we'd have grades by yesterday, and still hasn't followed up and entered grades. I emailed her and shortly after received an email to the whole class essentially saying she wouldn't be responding to any emails. Don't take Lydia Njoroge. She's easily the worst professor at UNT.
She is very caring abut her students and them doing well in the class and outside of class. A lot of extra credit opportunities. If you show up and engage in the class, you will be fine! Highly recommend!
Fantastic young professor. Show up, be respectful, do your work, and you'll pass.
She is really specific about grading, criteria, and electronics. But go to class and ask questions, she's willing to help out her students. Her tests come from lecture and the book, and she does occasional book checks, so you have to get the book and you have to read to do well on tests. Overall, she's a good professor
Taking this class Spring 2017. If you come to class, pay attention, and take good notes, studying for the tests won't be hard. I've made high B's on every test and it wasn't hard to get them. Just follow instructions and try and you'll do well.
She is a great teacher who just wants to see her student succeed. No homework that's a plus, you do have a group project, which is not too hard. Lectures are interesting and if you go to class and study the textbook you will be fine! Also, plenty of extra credit opportunities would definitely recommend.
She honestly is a good teacher, just a little strict, Gives so much opportunity for extra credit which is plus because the tests are fairly difficult. Show up to class and Pay attention because that is where you'll learn the most. If you read the book too you'll probably get an A. Lastly, just finish all of the running extra credit the first week.
Material itself isn't bad and the project is manageable. Show up and you'll pass, especially with extra credit opportunities offered. That being said, prof Njoroge can be patronizing, and I often got that sinking feeling that I was back in high school. If you have a low patience level, consider taking another professor. Otherwise, decent course!
Njorogee is awesome, much funnier than you'd expect and really likes to get the class involved. sometimes light handed which makes you not want to try as hard as you should, and way too much extra credit to the point that you ask yourself, "do i even need to do any of it?" of corse it helps, but it's overwhelming how much there is to help u
You have to go to class. There is a group project that isn't too hard, but she is picky about the formatting. She does book checks so you have no choice but to buy the book. I sometimes felt like I was in high school again just because of the way she handles the class.
Professor Njoroge runs her class like its high school. I love her but its true, random folks will bellow their answers instead of being quiet and raising their hand. The class is ran through slides and guest speakers, which is fine. Too much extra credit like seriously, one or two worth 15 points would be fine. She's funny and thoughtful to though.
She really is not that bad. She is a big stickler about format on pretty much anything you submit to her. She emphasizes a lot of participation in class. She can get off track sometimes. She says you need the book, but the lecture gives you all you need, but she will punish for not bringing it. I would take her if you want medium effort for an A.
Probably better than most of my past professors.
Entertaining and a good teacher, she cares about her student's grades and making sure they understand the material. Would take her again
Great teacher
This class is pretty easy. Browse the book, listen to the lecture, and study for the tests. The test questions are typically pretty straight-forward, and not too wordy/complicated. It's up to you to find a good partner for the project. There's not a lot of depth to this class.
This class is pretty fun! She gets really involved with her students, and surprisingly remembers all of her students names which I think is awesome. haha! Theres always some sort of extra credit opportunity, and the tests are fairly easy. PS: Silence your phones people!
Over the constant deviation of class topic. I wish she would stay focused on the lectures. Shes annoying about phone use but my biggest annoyance with her is that yesterday was out last class and she STILL HAS NOT GRADED OUR GROUP ASSIGNMENT! RIDICULOUS.
Ms. Njoroge is a stickler for formatting and can be a tough grader, but she provides the most extra credit opportunities I've ever had from a professor. I would have easily made an A if I had taken advantage of more of them. Additionally, she is extremely accessible and helpful outside of class.
Great teacher and cares about the students
She is a tough grader but she keeps it real with you and I respect that.
Great professor, is strict about phones but if you don't mind not having it for an hour then I would suggest taking her. You will learn but she is there for extra help when needed.
She is an awesome professor. You learn skills that can be applied to future careers. Professor Njoroge is more than willing to help you in anyway she can, but you have to put in the work and be respectful of her time, her class, and your classmates. Take her!!! Tests come from PP and lecture, and projects are discussed in detail.
I took her over the summer for 3710. Most of the grades are exam and project based. Lots of extra credit opportunities which helps! The textbook is required. Formatting and vague instructions can make the group project a little difficult. Overall, an easy class that I feel like I learned a lot from!
She was very attentive towards her lectures and making sure the students understood the material prior to test taking. She made jokes here and there to make you laugh so you weren't bored or anything. She relates to Millennials so it was east to understand the material and made the time go by fast. :)
Ms Njoroge is the best professor at UNT!. She extremely helpful and really care for her students. She definitely make sure her students understand the material that way they can apply it to the real world.
Good solid lecture with feedback given anytime you ask for it. Most of the grades are tests and your final project but if you come to class and study before your exams you won't have any problem getting an A or B.
Slow feedback. Took during a summer 5w semester and there was just too much work given. If you don't understand stats this class will be difficult for you. Asked us to answer questions on things we didn't know in lecture, I would prefer if she would just tell us the answers than waste time trying to get us to give the right answer.
I had her for MKTG 3710 and MKTG 3660. I chose to have her again as my professor because she is awesome. If you need help with the project, go to her office hours! She is such a big help! I didn't do well on the first exam but went to her for help during office hours for the other exams and I got A's on the rest of the exams. Definitely take her!!
She is a lovely lady, but her personality is not being judged. She gives too much work for a 5 WK SU course. She takes forever to respond to emails. She gets off topic in lecture. I did not like her class nor the rules that came with it. Attendance rule, book check rule, absent rule, exam rule, It was TOO MUCH.. (passive aggressive, condescending)
I took her for 5WK SU2. Overall, such a great professor! She cares about her students success in the class. 4 exams, 1 final, and 1 semester long project. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS for help on the project and preparation for exams. She may seem intense at first, but is so nice and understanding. I would recommend taking her!
By far one of the hardest classes I've taken. You definitely have to work super extra hard for an A, it's possible but just have to put in that work and effort. But definitely a tough class. Meet with her anytime possible, she's very helpful. There's a group project, choose your partner wisely.
Great professor and class. Taught me a very effective way to collect data. Yes she demands a lot from her students but we're graduating seniors so it's expected. Overall, I'd recommend this course and professor to anyone who wants to learn Marketing research and move ahead in their company.
Ms Njoroge is very clear in her syllabus how she grades assignments and the work you will be expected to do. Class is lecture heavy and you're only tested on topics discussed in class, so skipping is not an option. She is slow responding to email (if at all), but she gives plenty of extra credit so there is no reason to fail the class
She takes forever to respond to emails! Gets off topic in lecture & when u ask her a question she goes around it instead of giving u a clear cut answer. She will require you to purchase the textbook for attendance! She was the definition of EXTRA for a professor who is only a PHD student. Very passive aggressive & condescending. Good luck!
Tough teacher, makes you work for your grade. If you miss class you will fall behind, and your grade will take a hit for it. Knows the material well, but sometimes have difficulty communicating what information needs to be taken away when studying for exams.
As long as you show up to class and pay attention, then you will do well. She gives a lot of extra credit, which is nice. There is a project that was rather lengthy, and confusing at times because we barely covered it in class. She has a lot of strict rules, but she will tell you about them in advance.
This class was fairly easy. Just show up, read your book, and study. She offer a lot of help outside of class so use it to your advantage.
okay, just a lot of work for a 5-week summer class. had to do a full research paper for a project. Tests every week.
class wasn't too bad, just show up, take notes, read the book and you'll be fine.
Put in the effort and you'll do just fine. Overall okay class. DON'T SKIP OR YOU'LL FALL BEHIND!
Put in the effort and you'll do just fine. Okay class overall. Could be a little nicer.
So much information for a 5 week course. Not a class I recommend to take in that short period of time. She's super helpful but can be a little to hard on students. Exam each week on top of a project submission as well, I think it was a little to much.
Overall a decent class. Wish she wouldve spent more time on the project and exactly what she wanted. Group project is majority of your grade, but she doesnt allow google docs, makes it difficult to work on. Attendance is mandatory. She is always willing to meet and help. Some of the questions on the test are worded weird, take notes of what is said
If you follow directions and come to class you should make a pretty good grade in the course. You do need the book because she does do book checks for attendance which is extra credit so make sure you have it for the extra couple points. She is a pretty hard grader but will give you time to fix the critiques she gives you.
Prof Njoroge will come across all tough on the first day of class, but she isn't. If you show up, pay attention, and do the group project you will make an A. Her tests are EASY if you go to class and take notes. She is SUPER helpful during office hours so take advantage of that. She also makes class fun and gives us candy. Would take her again.
Great teacher and a class easy to pass
She is a great professor. Put in the work, study for the tests and you wont have a problem. The project is the majority of the grade so do it right.
This was a fairly difficult class, but she outlines everything she expects of you very clearly. She is a tough teacher but if you do your work, there should be no problem. I enjoyed this class, she is funny and makes things relatable so that helped.
She comes off as kind of scary in her syllabus and tries to be scary in class but she's actually too nice for that. Attendance is graded and she has a cell phone policy. Other than that, as long as you study for her exams based on lecture, and actually work on your project, she makes it a relatively simple class.
This is one of my favorite teachers here at UNT. She really cares about her students and she cares that they have actually gotten something out of her class. I had her for both advertising management and marketing research and I would be more than happy to take another class if she taught it. I highly recommend this teacher she is a delight! :)
I was a little intimidated by Ms. Njoroge at the beginning of the semester but as the semester continued, its obvious she is just really passionate about the subject and teaching her students. Utilize her office hours!!! She is so helpful and will reexplain as many times necessary until you understand a topic. LOTS of extra credit opportunities too
Lydia Njoroge is one of the best professors I've had at UNT. She teaches in a way that is digestible to the whole class and will change her pace to suit that needs of anyone struggling. This being said, attendance is mandatory and her instructions are law, so pay attention to detail!
She is very chill and clear in what she expects from her students. She also try's very hard to make class fun and relatable. Her tests are derived directly from the lectures, which are mandatory. Her class is very straight forward. Just show up to class and listen and you will be fine. oh, and she also gives a semester long project.
Professor Njoroge is great. Yes, she can be intimidating but overall she teaches clearly and reinforces concepts if people are confused or have questions. She has been helpful when I went to her office hours. She is strict on format grading, so just be careful. We worked on a semester long group project and have 4 tests. Would take her again.
She is serious about marketing research. Be prepared to go to every class, lecture is the most important part of this class. You will not pass this class if you do not go. She is a great lecturer though, and you will learn a lot. This class is project heavy, do not slack. She is willing to help out as much as she can. One of the best classes!
Njoroge is a GREAT professor! Don't get me wrong, she makes you work for your grade. But it's so rewarding at the end. 5 exams, final is optional, group project, and lots of extra credit. She wants to help you pass and cares for her students. Would take again!
she was awesome! tests are to the point and she is very funny
Great Professor, you will actually learn about STATS
Semester long group project. Harsh grader but you can debate with her on alot of things, just back it up well.
Great professor! You can tell she is passionate about her job.
Great class.
Great class and highly enjoyed it! A lot of work but very helpful and provides great feedback. The book is required and attendance is mandatory.
She is a great professor! You do have to work for your grade, you don't just get it handed to you. But I highly recommend taking her!
At first she seemed scary and I wouldn't be able to pass class but if you work hard and talk to her she really does help make things easy for you.
She's okay
Shes a nice and engaging professor. She facilitates class discussion well so they arent always boring. Does have a semester long group project though but theres no presentation.
She is strict On her rules but class is fun and engaging. she acts petty in regards to some questions that are asked and if you dont follow her rules exactly to a t.
A truly special and amazing professor and I was lucky enough to take her. She is one of the best professors at UNT and truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed in the class and the business world. Would easily take again if I could.
She is a good teacher, no homework but there is a semester long project. She says the more time you spend on it the better your grade will be.
She's a great professor. Tests are not that bad
Professor Njoroge conducts her class with strict rules in regards to attendance and technology use. She is by the book and doesn't sway from her convictions. There are many opportunities for extra credit and the exams are not so tough. Brush up on your stats knowledge, go to class, and pay attention. She is good if you can follow her rules.
She was an open teacher and was very comfortable with showing her personality in her teaching. She let you know at the beginning of the year that the class was going to be challenging but was going to work with you to make it understandable. Intimidating at time and sometimes condescending but overall the class was cool to be in.
Professor Njoroge is one of the best professors I've had at UNT. She's passionate about the class and genuinely wants her students to learn. Attendance is mandatory and she has a strict no cell phone policy. Her lectures are interesting and I enjoyed her sarcasm. Semester long group project, extra credit, and 4 tests. would take her again!
Professor Njoroge is awesome. She is good at explaining things until you understand. 4 tests, a semester long group project, and she offers extra credit. I would take her again.
Great proffesor , the future of the Industry . She gives great lectures that time flies . Would take again . Dont skip this class or any class for that matter and youll get As like me .
Participate and you will be fine, be engaged and you will pick up the information fast. Group project is cool depending on the group, but overall the class is pretty solid. Test may catch you off guard and extra credit opportunities each test.
Great teacher, gives a lot of interaction during lectures to keep them interesting. Big stickler for the little things but explains expectations up front at the beginning of the semester. You won't be able to get by without putting in the work or showing up for class.
Professor Njoroge is a wonderful teacher. She teaches the material clearly. Attendance is mandatory and as long as you pay attention you will do fine for the tests. She didn't make this class as boring as I thought it would be. I recommend! 4 tests, attendance credit and a semester long group project.
Pretty good professor. She cares about her students learning the material. She was pretty funny too! She is strict on attendance and cell phones, but it's for your own good. Tests aren't that difficult if you pay attention.
Really good professor and class is okay
She is a great professor. She gives great and interesting lectures, and the exams strongly relate to those lectures. She give a lot extra credits, which helps a lot.
If you aren't a person of discipline or integrity this is probably not the professor for you. She will stay on the class about certain rules. Exams aren't too bad. She will only cover relevant topics in class and won't get off topic. The group project is heavily weighted in the class so this part is vital to a good letter grade.
Super fair and respectable and respects you. Gives great feedback and is always willing to help. She is one of those professors that you would talk to after taking her classes.
Great teacher she gives a lot of extra credits. Exam are little bit tough but if you go to class write notes you will be good in the exams. Her report is little bit hard there is a lot of work you must do but she helps you to do it. I will recommend you to take her she the BEST !!!!.
Great teacher she gives a lot of extra credits. Exam are little bit tough but if you go to class write notes you will be good in the exams. Her report is little bit hard there is a lot of work you must do but she helps you to do it. I will recommend you to take her she the BEST !!!!
Great teacher! Very strict on deadlines but helpful. One of the coolest and funniest professors I've had during college. Final project is time consuming but it is doable, especially with the help of 1 or 2 partners. Highly recommend this professor!
Professor Njoroge has been my favorite professor at UNT, and I've had a TON of professors. The first week you will judge her and think she's going to be the worse, but her style of teaching and her enthusiasm makes up for her overboard rules she sets. Engage in class and she will know care for you on a personal level! I hope you like your last name
Professor Njoroge is one of the very best professors I have had. She keeps the class interesting and relatable to her students. She is young and really cares about the success of her students, and cares about teaching. She seems scary hard at first but this class has flown by for me. Tests are not too bad, just pay attention and take notes!
Pretty decent professor, she's extremely picky on format to the point where it's unnecessary but other than that she is a good lecturer and is always willing to help.
Good teacher. She will try to scare you but there is nothing to be afraid of. She cares a lot about her students and will help you tremendously if you just ask. Semester long group project is kind of hard but is easy to knock out. Tests aren't bad just pay attention to the lecture and you will be gucci.
A good teacher that teaches towards the tests, comes off scary the first day but then is really nice and helpful. Go to office hours she will help you with anything.
She is very straight forward about her expectations for the class. This can come across as a little tedious, but once you learn how she operates the class becomes much more enjoyable. She offers a lot of extra credit, and is readily available to provide feedback or further instruction. She is very clear with her instruction and I learned a lot.
Ms. Njoroge is one of the best professors here at UNT. She makes herself available before and after class for office hours and her lectures are very thorough. If you do not understand something, she uses various examples and explanations until you do. There is a semester long project that requires ALOT of effort. Overall she is awesome though!!
The class was not too difficult, but there is an insane emphasis on the minute almost unimportant details. You have to buy the book to get attendance credit, but don't really use it. The project takes a ton of time but isn't too difficult, the exams aren't difficult either but you will need to study a fair amount beforehand.
She gives out TONS of extra credit it's crazy, and this class is very easy if you pay attention to exactly what she says. She might tell you the first exam is super hard but to me it was easy. I hated how she treated us like elementary kids and always wanted us to say the exact answer she's thinking of.
Professor Njorogee explains the material clearly and in a way where we can understand. However, she has a no electronics policy and attendance policy that is pretty ridiculous. 2 or more absences and you'll lose HALF a letter grade. Expect to be in class without your phone or laptop, paying attention, like college students actually should be doing
Definitely an interesting course. Very strict deadlines and rules for assignments, but very relaxed professor who is funny and interesting enough to listen to. Plenty of opportunities for extra credit, although relatively small amounts that do add up. Exams aren't too difficult as long as you pay attention. Great course overall.
Good professor overall. Can ask super obvious questions and want extremely specific answers, which can be frustrating. However, it wasn't a difficult course and she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. Just make sure you show up to class because she takes attendance and gives you a good idea what's going to be on the exam in the lectures.
The class requires effort but is not too difficult. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities. If you study the power point slides and pay attention in class you should be just fine on the exams. The professor is always willing to help and explain anything you don't understand. Exams, Group project, and attendance are the grades.
Professor Njoroge makes you feel comfortable to ask her questions throughout the lectures if you don't understand something. She is great at explaining things, and uses relatable examples. The exams are fairly easy as long as you study, and there is one group project that lasts the entire semester (she provides an example template).
She is great! Kind of like a high school teacher, but in the best way. Great about being open to questions and respectful.
First class day was intimidating, but once you understand the way she works it's actually a fun class. She can be tedious and will help you if you ask for it. Group project is a lot of work and is very time consuming, but she provides a template that's easy to follow.
Ms. Njoroge is a great instructor and I would definitely take her class again. Attendance and participation in class is required, but it's actually fun and engaging. I've probably learned more in this class than I have in any other course in my college career. 10/10 highly recommend.
One big group project throughout the whole semester. Easy exams, even though she says her exams are hard. She takes attendance for half the semester with the book. The book is useless after that. There is a free online pdf version. She has a strict cell phone policy. Overall, easy A if you show up to class and pay attention to her lectures.
Great prof. She really cares about you understanding the material. She is super patient and sweet. She is super strict about cellphones, laptops, correct email etiquette, etc. She is really specific about how you should do the work but its easy just do it!
I would definitely recommend anyone to take this class. Be sure to get your textbook as soon as possible because it'll count towards your attendance. If you have any questions or concerns, the professor is definitely willing to help you. Definitely stay on top of your game with the group project or you will not pass the course.
I love Ms. Njoroge! Attendance is mandatory but it's cool because class is fun and interesting. The exams are exactly like the lectures, so show up and pay attention and you can get an A. Semester-long group project, but she gives good feedback and is always helpful when you need it. Lots of extra credit! I would definitely recommend this class!
You must take her! She seems tough in the beginning with her rules but once you get past the first week she's great! Attendance is mandatory, semester long project but she helps you with it if you ask, tests are not hard if you go to class and pay attention to her lectures. And she gives a lot of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester!
Attendance is mandatory and electronic use is prohibited but these policies made me learn more in the last semester than I have in the last three years. She is very relatable and will take the time to explain concepts if you don't understand them. She really does make sure students are learning as much as possible and the class is very practical.
She is a great professor! Attendance is mandatory and you have to buy the book for your attendance grade. She also has a very strict no cell phone policy. She seems a little strict and mean at first, but she is actually very nice and cares about her students very much. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone is understanding the material!!
If you show you want to pass she will help you through it. The class is interactive and she will take your response and help turn you in the correct direction if you do not fully understand.
She is a great professor and cares about her students. 5 exams, but final is optional. Attendance and the book are mandatory. As long as you go to class, take notes, and pay attention you will do fine on exams. Project is worth most of your grade so work on it. She is always open to help, if you're having trouble go to her office hours.
Good professor. She starts off very tough then softens up a little after.
Ms. Njoroge is a great teacher. She really cares about making sure you learn the material. She does make things awkward but its all good. There is a group project but she offers lots of help if you see her during office hours. Make sure you attend class and the textbook is mandatory. I would recommend her for sure.
Professor Njoroge is an amazing! She goes out of her way to help her students. Her lectures are fun and interactive. She is willing to help outside of class. We have a semester long project which is not as hard as long as you go to her and are trying your best. If you attend class, take good notes, and pay attention the exams won't be tough.
Show up to class, pay attention to her lectures, and there is no way you won't get at least a B. She's good at lecturing and doesn't make me want to fall asleep.
Ms. Njoroge is one of the most caring professors I have ever had and I graduate this year! She really wants you to succeed and to fully understand the topics in the course. She is a student herself, so the grading and feedback was slow but overall one of my favorite classes in college. This class made me think of marketing in a new way. :)
She teaches the class very well. MUST come to class and pay attention to lectures to do well on tests. She does her best to help students be successful in the class. There are 5 exams including the final (optional) and 1 group project throughout the semester.
This class was fun to have. Ms. Njorogen helped me when I needed it the most, especially when it came down to not understanding our research project. She makes the class engaging. If you don't any to pursue a career in marketing research and just want to see what research is about, take this course with her as your professor. You wont regret it.
For this class as long as you listen in lectures and work hard on the semester project you will get a good grade. She always answers questions and helps you as much as she can. She is very good at explaining everything you need to know for the exams and there is a lot of extra credit!
Although she can be picky in what she expects, she is an amazing professor. I thoroughly enjoyed having her as my professor and would take her again. Exams aren't difficult as long as you study. The semester project is difficult at first but it gets easier. She truly cares about her students and is always happy to help you when you're confused.
She really cares because she's been in our position as students. Attendance is mandatory so make sure you're on time, exams are based over power-points and fairly easy if you take the time to study. Semester long project is not difficult, just time consuming. GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS! Overall good class structure & great professor.
Very good teacher, who wants her students to understand and teaches in a way that is very understandable.
Professor Njoroge was an excellent teacher. She really cares about her students and her door is always open during her office hours or by appointment. She would continue to work with me until I fully understood the material no matter how long it took. I will always remember her as one of the best professors I ever had.
Great professor, lectures were well structured and easy to follow. I really enjoyed taking this class!
One of the best professors for this course, she gives you all of the tools that you need to be successful in the class. It takes a lot of effort to pass this class, but it is not hard. She also makes the class really fun and engaging.
Professor Njoroge is great! Loved her class! Tough grader but gives you all the tools you need to be successful in the class. Would definitely recommend.
Really makes class interesting.
Difficult class but great instructor, she is very helpful outside of class/during office hours so take advantage of it if your grade is hurting. Study the powerpoints and try not to miss class - especially if taken during the summer and you'll do just fine.
Great lecturer, her exams are very much what she covers in class so take good notes. The exams are multiple choice and aren't very difficult. You take a group project over a company and run statistics on it. She grades super picky.
She's OK
Good instructor, tough grader but is willing to help whenever you need it.
This professor is great! Very engaging for her students. Does not let you use technology tho. Would definitely recommend.
Overall good instructor and will recommend this class rather you need it in life or only for in it for the credit, its a interesting class. She makes it interesting with her random stories but its all good! Study study this class requires effort!
Tough grader, but really good interactive lectures. Make sure to take good notes as most of the stuff she talks about during lectures are on the exam. Very picky with group project but just make sure to visit her office hours for help.
Awesome summer class, 5 tests ( 1 was optional), and 1 Group project. If you go to class everyday and listen to her lecture you wont have to study much. Go to her office hours before each project part is due and ask for her to look over your rough draft, this will save you so much time and will help you get an easy A in her class!! Great professor.
Engaging lectures. Uses relatable terms and examples to keep students interested. Some course rules and requirements are a bit excessive, however.
Great professor! Very knowledgeable about what she teaches and makes lectures interesting. Exams are mostly based off of lectures so make sure to take good notes. For the group project, go to her office hours before each section is due!! You will get feedback on exactly where to make corrections before you submit.
Can be tough on grading but willing to help.
