Great Teacher. Fun questions with each class.

At the beginning shes a fun teacher. she makes the work fairly easy. she does lots of group work. towards the last two weeks of class she really piles on the work. you have more speeches to give in thoes two week then you did all year.

I have to say the class was fun. At first, I was scared of public speaking, but Insructor Yznaga has a way of making her students feel comfortable. It doesn't matter if you are a "Hot guy","Cheerleader" or "Nerdy type". All that matters is applying yourself. That is how a person can do well in Speech 1311 or any other class.

Who cares about the class! I want to take her out on a date! in my grade book she get an A for a perfect...do got any plans this weekend? Ms. Yznaga.

Ms. Yznaga is nice, she is very open and knows that all points of views should be heard in her speech class. You will give many presentations and do much public speaking. Everybody knows how nervous each other is so no one will think you're a dork up there. It was a good class, good professor. Just don't hand in your work late.

She is a good, clear instructor with a layout for almost every assignment she hands out. She is organized and that will keep you very organized. Be punctual, try not to be absent b/c it does affect grades, show you care about your grade and you will be fine. The key to success in this class is organization, if you are you will get an A. Trust me!

GREAT TEACHER!!! KNOWS HER STUFF. HAS A TEACHER/FRIEND RELATIONSHIP. HELPS AND GIVES ADVICE AT ALL TIMES.

I take her at St. Mary's. I would have to say that her class is very practical and helpful. She is also a very nice professor. She gives a lot of extra credit, however, attendance is absolutely mandatory. I would not want to miss her class because your grade depends on it. Overall, easy class as long as you participate. And study vocab for exams!

Fair grader, and as long as you go to class you should get an A. She is very thorough and I learned a lot in her class. She offers a lot of extra credit so take advantage of it.

She was a great professor and I didn't see her choose any favorites. Her class was very informative and she always kept it interesting. The 1st half of the semester is mostly lecture and note taking and then most of the major speeches are done in the 2nd half. She grades fair on the speeches and the tests are fairly easy. It's not hard to make an A

She is very smart and gets us to play mind games.

She doesnt pick favorites at all. shes very fair. test are easy. just know your vocab and terms because she words her true/false test kindof tricky. Aced every test with 100's or more with bonuses. enjoyed her class. mandatory attendance or she will deduct points. even if your late. easy class just keep up and study test outline - A

She was an amazing teacher! Always made sure you're comfortable. Explains well, tons of fun. Not much hw. Very soft spoken, but pay attention! She lets you bring in food, and asks you cool questions to make everyone more comfortable. Everything she says is directly on the tests! Overall my favorite class last semester.

Ms.Yznaga is a very good teacher. She does not pick favorites and is helpful to anyone who is willing to be helped. She lets you know exactly what you need to do to pass the class so there's no reason to fail. I am definitely taking her again in the summer.

Her class is easy but she gives a lot of stuff to do. very critical when it comes to presentations. gives a lot of points so easy to pass. just follow instructions.. did not use the BOOK at all, and her teachings are not all from the book but her own..

In all honesty if your serious about tying to get this class done trust me she is the one you wanna take she is always nice helpful and makes you think on your feet towards the end your more teaching her if anything one of the best teachers hands down don't think twice about taking her i would do it again if i had to

LOVED taking her class. She made everyone feel super comfortable and before we knew it, we were all talking to each other all the time. I always looked forward to her class. TAKE HER!!

She is an excellent instructor and really gets you accustomed to speaking in front of people. I enjoyed our projects and assignments. She coaches you well and helps you develop that skill as well. Must take her.

Ms. Yznaga was organized and knew the material well. We did not use the textbook, although she assigned reading she never referred back to them. There are a LOT of group projects and presentations! I took business and professional speaking so we focused on interviews and work related projects. Interesting class.

This teacher was SUPER EASY. she provides you will everything you need. yes, she does grade on attendance but this is about Business.... who wouldn't?HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. you will learn so much!!

Attendance is mandatory. She is very helpful, and will make you feel comfortable giving speeches. Her instructions are clear, and there are few to no assignments. The tests are open book. Very helpful. I would take her again if I needed another Comm class!

You must attend - earn pts. if there/lose pts. if absent. She brings out the best from all - always willing to help. While she has a lot of requirements [her way], they are clear & U'll B fine, + if U follow them - & 4 UR good long-term. Quiz R on-line, Hm, openBk, 2 chances!. She starts classes with a simple question [no wrong answers] - FUN!

She is an amazing teacher and had fun in her class. I didn't like how the book had to be brand new WITH the online access code($$) but no other choice!

If you have a fear of public speaking, take this class! Ms. Yznaga is amazing! I learned sooo much and am still applying the things I've learned from her class to excel in presentations for other classes. You have to show up and participate but she makes it fun so why would you want to miss??

Get ready for a real speech class where it will live up to its name "speech" class. Textbook must be new have a option of ebook or actual textbook because you need a passcode. Professor will be there to help she is a great person who only wants to make you a better person who will not take i cant for an awnser if you want a real class take this one

Lydia is fair. Makes environment relax and comfortable. A lot of individual and class group assignments. Allows extra credit. The only homework is reading assigned chapters and For this course, you must purchase the disc for lessons and exams online. If you have difficulty, buy the disc with the book, disc includes the book online.

Mrs. Yznaga was a great teacher. She is a lot of fun and her classes are very exciting, you learn something new every day and do and activity. when you need help she will HELP you anyway she can. yes her test are hard. the plus side she does have Extra Credit. I say go for this class. she is a lot of fun.

She is so much fun. I really don't like speech classes generally but hers was interesting and really broke down what good speaking skills are. she always has little activities to do that keep the class entertaining. i learned a lot from her and she's really nice and understanding if you make mistakes. the whole feel of the room is positive.

I loved this class and Ms. Yznaga! She is nice and fun and will teach you how to be the best at personal speaking you need to be. The online test are not as hard as people say, the book will make them easy! However, she will not allow makeup days if you miss them, so always BE PREPARED!!!

Amazing teacher, who gets along well with her students. Attendance is mandatory but honestly you want to miss a class. Unfortunately there is A LOT of group projects and speeches in front of the class is intimidating but she helps you break out of your shell and excel in public speaking. Definitely would take another class as her as my professor.

She was enthusiastic, understanding, and created a nice environment for shy students. The activities that lead up to the "big" speeches were helpful. She also gives great advice for what to do in a job interview, and how to talk to potential employers and how to write a great resume, cover letter, etc.

At first, I didnt really like her because I thought she was kind of weird and didn't feel like I connected with her. But by the end of the semester, I began to respect her quirkiness and felt like she really knew all the students. she's a pretty tough grader, but will give you good feedback. eases you into the tougher speeches slowly. funny too!

Very friendly instructor with an outgoing personality. She asks "questions of the day" to get to know her students which is great. She really does connect with the class and gets to know everyone's personality. She is a tough grader though so FYI. There are occasional group activities and a group final presentation in the end.

Amazing professor! Take her, you won't regret it. Inspirational, caring, work for your grade like you would in every college course. Asks fun questions of the day. Even though it was a requirement, you learn a lot of valuable and beneficial things and attain better comm. skills. Intelligent and experienced educator. Professor Yznaga is a fav!

Ms. Yznaga is a nice lady, attendance and participation are graded. She clearly had favorites which i didn't like. I worked hard for my grades but i struggle with attendance due to my schedule and i felt like she treated me differently for it. The class and weekly assignments are super easy but the major projects are impossible to get an A on.

Shes super funny and quirky, really enjoyed this class. Made my first college friend in this class. Arrive to class five minutes before class bc she will give you stink eye if youre late. If youre going to be late, might as well skip bc her stink eye is not worth it. Watch your ums and hand movements. Shes really great w feedback. 10/10

I took Professor Yznaga for the summer and honestly it was the best!!! Im a shy person and dont like talking in front of people but Professor Yznaga really was engaged in the class and made it comfortable for me. Although there was many assignments I would definitely take her again because the more practice the better you get (:

Mrs. Yznaga is a great professor. I could tell by the way that gets the class interacting that she loves to teach her students to on how to become better communicators. She does grade a little tough on the bigger presentations if you don't follow the criteria that she gives. Just don't talk while she teaches and engage in discussions/group work.

My favorite class and favorite professor. I looked forward to going to her class everyday because she made class so much fun and interesting! All you have to do is participate and do the work, and it is an easy A. She is so sweet and cares about each of her students. Take her class, you won't regret it!

I had a great experience in this class! By far it is my favorite class I signed up for at NVC. She is very energetic and engaging with the class. It makes a 10am class fun. Easy A if you are willing to participate. She gives clear guidelines for her assignments and often gives a little extra points to help students out. Great class overall!

THIS PROFESSOR IS AMAZING!!! I used to be so quiet and insecure about giving speeches, but she helped me overcome most of my fears by sharing her experiences and got us engaged in what we were learning. She is patient and so kind, but she is a tough grader. The atmosphere is so energetic and calm that everyone almost instantly becomes friends!

I had her for public speaking and before her class I hated speaking in front of people, I still do but not as much. She gives great feedback and really helps you understand where you need to improve. I really enjoyed having her as a professor and I would recommend her!

AMAZING. online courses you will need your camera on always. homework is long but easy with many chances to pass. she gives good feedback when you are public speaking and will help you as long as you ask for it! shes hilarious and as long as you follow her instructions and dont slack off and pay attention you will pass with an A+

Amazing teacher! She will give you many chances to pass her class, as well as coach you on where to improve your speeches. More than enough time is given to complete assignments. Easy to reach outside of class, and will grade assignments in a timely manner. Attendance is mandatory, so make sure you are in class to earn extra points for your grade.

I really enjoyed taking this class, she is truly an amazing professor. The beginning of the semester so fun, I was always interested in each lecture as she takes her time to engage with the class. Towards the end of the semester is when it got a little tough preparing for speeches, but with an encouraging professor, it made things better.

I was not supposed to be in this class with her because I had a different professor beforehand but I'm not sure what happened. But being in her class was really fun and great. She is really nice and fun and when giving the speeches she gives really good feedback! I liked her!

She gives good feedback and if you go to her for some questions she will answer you. Its clear that she has experience and she cares about her students. Participate as much as you can and you will pass.

She sets her expectations from the very beginning and it can definitely be intimidating but her class isn't bad. She does a lot of activities and there are tons of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester but especially towards the end. She also allows you to go to one of her other class periods if you have to miss yours.

I love the way she includes everyone into her lectures; I think the only thing I would criticize is her ability to stay on track, I think she just gets offtrack with her enthusiasm, but trust me she's a wonderful teacher. She really loves her job, you can tell.
