A very easy-going professor who is genuinely interested in the material she teaches. (She hasn't burned out yet.) Quite a saucy redhead. Vivacious personality.

she is laid back and tells a lot of stories, but tries to hard to be 20 and talks constantly about her husband, jim. thought the class was going to be SUPER easy, but somehow she "forgets" to change her website and something is due w/o notice. she needs to calm down. wouldn't recommend to everyone.

Very amusing professor. She is laid back in general but at the same time makes the class fun and interesting. This was my favorite class at ACC.

god, she is the funniest teacher i've ever had, college or high school. she makes speech actually interesting, so i'd highly recommend anyone looking into her. i love goin to class, its simply hilarious

This is like going to the Oprah show. I really loved this class. If you do what she tells you to do, you will do OK in this class! It is more like the PSYCHOLOGY of communication.Her insistence on typed work when I don't have computer access always was rough. Otherwise, GREAT CLASS!

She is a great teacher. Her class is straight forward and easy to complete. I enjoyed learning what she had to teach.

When the class began I thought Colangelo was either manic, bipolar, schizophrenic or an odd combination of all. Turns out she is just saucy and raunchy; You best do things her way so you stay on her good side and the class is an easy A. Tells corny jokes, stories, keeps things interesting however boring the material. Really easy online tests.

I think Dr. Colangelo must have really rubbed someone the wrong way such that they kept coming back here to post the same baseless complaints "full of herself, demeaning, rude" etc, etc. WHAT A LOAD OF GARBAGE. She makes the course fun. She has a strong personality, but that's the point. (Also HOT.)

I took her class in the summer. I had so much fun in her class! She's very casual and don't care if you show up half way the time for class although at the end she gave extra credits for those who come in on time. SHE HAS ATTITUDE! It gave a little spice I thought. On our last day, no one wanted to leave. She gave me 103 for the final grade.

I took distance learning course and the class was pretty easy. Don't get me wrong, you really have to work for that A, but it's achievable. She also grades kinda funky so you have to fluff up your papers with useless wordage to make better grades. But, really, she's not bad... I was even able to skip our last paper and still make an A.

i cannot BELIEVE the stuff i'm reading, it doesn't even sound like the same person! she is HILARIOUS, she's a really goofy, likable teacher. i'd go so far as to say anyone who has such a dislike for her IntComm class is a seriously disturbed person that i should pray never meet, for they'd likely be a defective human being

I took the online class and it was really easy. She tells you exactly how to write your papers. She does grade a little weird but its not hard to get an A. She's a really nice person and I always got answers when I had a question. I think those who rated her badly are just blaming her for their bad grades.

Recommend taking her Distance Learning class. She responds to emails in a timely manner. Grades papers by the next day. Really easy class. Easy A. Very ORGANIZED!!!! Tests are really easy.

Well the textbook is boring, but all her quizzes were fairly simple with a quick skim thru on the book. The teachers syllabus is intimidating but the 2 times we met (I took the DL course) she was funny, supportive, and laid back. It was a lot of work and research, but I came out with an A. Not too bad a teacher. Glad its over though.

Took the DL course over the Summer. ALOT of writing & due dates every 3-4 days. 2 meetings were fine. ALTHOUGH, during final presentation, Power Point was VITAL, had to use class system, audio didn't work ~ I tried to get audio from ITunes BEFORE I was up ~ She deducted HUGE POINTS for seeing me w/ my phone, that brought ENTIRE grade from A to B.

She's a great and very challenging professor! Lots of long papers but as long as you follow the given guide lines it's an easy A and you really learn a lot from it all.. Very life valuable information on how to become a competent communicator. Make sure to stay on her good side though, if you're disrespectful she will call you out!

The tests were extremely easy- straight by the book. She works with the students to help them maintain the grade that that want. Just go to class and have fun! She is awesome and hyper!

AMAZING TEACHER!! Such a fun personality and just so pleasant to be around! I enjoyed her class and was sad that the year was over. She will be missed. She is wonderful and very approachable I am very glad I took her class.

Took this class online. I had a great experience. The chapter tests are all open book. The assignments aren't difficult but she has alot of rules and ways she likes things done. She's very upfront about it, and gives you clear instructions. As long as you follow the instructions, participate, and do the work, you will do great.

I only attended a few classes, but she was fairly long-winded. Even so, she was supportive and graded our participation very loosely. On written assignments, however, quite the opposite: will take points off for minute details. Gave me a 0 on an late assignment despite a 10-point off late policy, then took off points on another, on-time assignment.

She was outstanding with me! Read the syllabus. Gives "free feedback." Very fair grader. Gives clear directions. Uses a helpful website (LaunchPad). Lot's of work, quizzes, tests- this helps you. Love her personality! She's super helpful. Will work with you. There are 2 meeting times- be there or drop the class (required for all speech classes).

She is very clear on what she wants her students to hit when doing a speech. Class was straight forward but she never penalized anyone for asking questions if they needed help. Lots of group activities but met some cool people along the way. As long as you do whats expected you should be good. Grades fairly but also took a summer course.

Read a lot of bad reviews about Dr. Lyn. She has stated many times she was tired of being the mean strict teacher. I can't even imagine her being like that! She is so amazing, her class work is EASY. She is hilarious and knows a lot about what she is teaching. I would take her again and again if I could. Don't listen to these negative comments.

Tells it like it is. Show up, so ur hw, and quizzes, and all will be well. Communicates well via email. Will definitely take again

She was an amazing teacher who was kind, understanding and patient. She is big on participation, and she grades easily if you try, but if you think she wont notice if you are BSing through the class , she will and she will call you on it. VERY GREAT TEACHER.

Dr. Lyn was really great to have as an instructor. She was really responsive and was always helpful when I needed it. As long as you just follow her instructions, you will get an A.

Don't listen to the slackers, this class is insanely easy. Come to class, do your work, and treat her like the professional she is and you'll have an easy A. She gives you the questions before every test which are directly out of the book. She's very accommodating and understanding if you communicate with her. I always looked forward to this class!

Dr Colangelo was very helpful and always gave good feedback on our journals. Course was easy if you really read the readings and watched the videos for each module. It was an easy course and she was very helpful and responds to emails quickly.

This Professor is great! She is so funny and all the tests are open notes online. There is no way anyone should fail this class.

This class was great! I took her online course and it was easy. There is a test every week but its open book. Loved this class! I would take her class again.

Asynchronous class: Read the textbook module, watch videos for discussion, create a flip grid video, reply to 2 classmates, and open note test. Super simple and gives a week for everything but it only takes like 2 days. Super nice professor and understanding. Would definitely take her again.

I took her asynchronous course in the Fall 2020 semester and it was very understanding. The structure of the lectures and content on blackboard was placed in a way that it is simple to understand what to do next. There were a couple of group projects and a you have to give out a speech as your final, but it was really simple.

I had Dr Lyn for my very first college class and I liked her. It was all online, but the assignments were interesting. We watched videos to do our video discussions and was a fair grader. Only one group project and it was actually really fun. You do have to read your chapter modules. I would definitely recommend her class.

Very interesting class! Each unit had a reading, which there was a multiple choice test over, and videos, which you were to answer in a flipgrid video and then reply to your classmates. Only one speech at the end of the class, which was an informative speech. Definitely suggest this class! Very straightforward and enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this professor. The structure of the homework is organized. She gives lots of feedback but it is all super helpful (positive and constructive criticism). I like how she incorporated the video lectures. They were random YouTube videos having to do with the situation being learned. Would recommend and I would take her class again!

I really enjoyed the structure of this online 5 week course, and I genuinely learned a lot of information. She clearly defined what needed to be done and it was not an unreasonable amount of coursework. Overall, if you read the readings, watch the videos, and put in some effort then you will do great in her course! (No tests or essays)

Online class consisted of recording a video of yourself answering posted questions by the professor & recording a response to two other classmates. One test per chapter its timed so make sure you write down important notes. You read from an online textbook, no recorded or live lectures. The final was easy if you just read and follow instructions.

She's a good professor. The lectures were interesting. I took a asynchronous class and I loved it!. She's very helpful if any questions arise. If you know you can work independent with asynchronous class do it!. But if you can't then take her live online class if she still has that option. She's clear in everything and just do the work.

very easy class as long as you simply do the work and put some effort into it. it was textbook reading, then a video of yourself answering questions due by the end of the week. Though she responds to emails Mon-Thurs during school hours, she gives an opportunity to email her your 'script' for feedback and will answer any questions you may have.

The class was pretty easy everything is laid out in the syllabus. We read a chapter a week and then did a test on it which was open book. The chapters weren't too long. There was also a weekly video discussion. I only had to email her once she responded quickly and was both kind and pleasant. I would definitely take her again.

Dr.Lyns class was very easy. Every week all you have to do it your discussion posts & a test. But some weeks you do have to do a skill demonstration. Ive taken this class at another uni and will say her class was structured very nicely. Especially since she sends out email to let you know everything has been graded & to reach out to her if needed.

Assignments are weekly quiz/tests+video discussion plus a few speeches which took their place. 3 assignments are technically extra credit. As a dual credit HS student I had no problem in this class, I kinda enjoyed it. Prof colangelo responds well and will give free feedback on speeches if you submit early. Know your way around technology though

Dr. Lyn was awesome! This was a fast paced asynchronous 5 week summer course and I was able to handle it along with another class while also working full time. Dr. Lyn offered great feedback which allowed me to do well in my speeches. Syllabus was clear from day one, do your work and you'll be fine!

Professor Lyn's class is pretty straightforward - just do the weekly discussions and tests. The grading can be picky, but unstuckstudy helped me stay on top of it. Overall, a solid online class.

I took this class DIL (online) & although it can seem overwhelming at first, once you understand how to record your video discussions, it's straightforward. Consistent unit test, video discussion, & 2 replies for each chapter, but Dr. Lyn was great about giving feedback. Just make sure you give yourself time to complete the assignments.
