She is awesome! She really cares about her students and will do anything to help you succeed. She takes time to get to know everyone of her students. She is always willing to answer any questions and help you when you need it. She makes class fun and interesting! TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!

SHE IS AWESOME!! Grades on attendence... makes class fun... grades easy... if u don't do good on the test u can go to her office hours and correct ur test (she usually gives u all the points even if they are wrong).... she actually cares about her students and tries to get to know them! EASY CLASS!!

This class is a lot of fun. The labs really help clarify the concept being taught. Some of the assignments are a lot to do for the next class, but there are many days where there is no homework. Do the reading and study, and you should be fine in this class.

this class is very easy. almost never any homework, and the labs don't have a lab report to turn in. it's very helpful for future teachers and imformative. so to class, take notes and TRY and you'll get an A. dr. countryman is really fun and very hands-on. i really suggest taking her if you want to do well and be prepared for science as a teacher.

Countryman is great! She usually has you figure things out, but will help if you don't understand and she's energetic and very fun to have! You don't always understand why your doing the labs at first but they're explained throughout or later.

She is the ideal science teacher! She keeps the class livily and upbeat. Through this class, Countryman give great examples for future teachers to use in their classrooms. If you can take her, I would highly suggest doing so!!

Countryman cares very much for her students and is very helpful. The class is very easy if you come to class and complete the homework assignments. We do a lot of activities that will come in handy when teaching later on.

AWESOME professor! she takes time to discuss if you need it, but most times you won't. the labs are fun and interactive. she makes learning FUN! and you can really tell she loves her job. the powerpoints are online but it is good to listen in class cuz thats whats on the tests. Mrs. Countryman is an amazing professor! She takes the time to help you out when needed. I use to hate science in high school and even taking the physical science. But I took my life science with her it it was so much fun, I learned a lot. You do labs pretty much all the time, but they are very interesting. You hardly ever use you book. Take her!!!

Wasn't as great of a professor as everybody made her sound. Didn't think she was very helpful but she was good about explaining the material. She liked to give us Fridays off which was nice too. Definitely has her favorites though and can be kind of moody at times.

She's very helpful! When something is a little off on a test or quiz you take she'll talk to you about it and she let me retake a quiz I basically failed and studied the second time and got 100% on it! She also makes class very interesting and LOVES her science! Which you can tell when she teaches.

Dr. Countryman is so helpful and she really cares about her students. She holds reviews before tests and is great at explaining things.She does challenge you but if you go to class and the reviews you will have no problem with this class. She does get a little off topic sometimes but she really relates to her students.

Professor Countryman knows a lot of useful information. I feel like you should attend class everyday, but if you miss a few, then you aren't going to feel way behind. Also, she is somewhat unorganized. There were times where the online tests wouldn't work, or when class time was wasted by doing experiments that didn't work out, or were useful.

Dr. Countryman is very fun and interesting, but she can be somewhat disorganized and that makes class frustrating at times. All of the tests and quizzes were online and open book, which is nice when they worked and were easy to understand. Overall I enjoyed the class and Dr. Countryman was fun and exciting :)

Lyn is a very helpful, fun professor. She goes out of her way to explain material to you if you do not understand it. Her classroom is a very comfortable setting. She learns everyone's names the first day of class, and makes it a point to use names. Her tests are easy if you go to class and pay attention. There are four lab reports total.

Lyn is one of the best professors I have had! With a 2 hour class, it could easily get boring, but she always has something planned. Everything we do it relevant to the classroom, and to help us out in the long run. She really cares about her students and is a really fun teacher. Don't skip, because you will miss a lot.

Lyn is the best. She had amazing classes and makes sure you are not bored during the 2 hours. If you have any questions, she is always there to answer them. You don't need the book at all. Online tests and review day with all the answers the day before she opens the test.

The class is mainly labs, so if you don't show up for them you won't get the credit. Really easy, basic stuff. The class is what you make it. Her lectures can be long and sort of scattered, but I highly recommend Lyn.

Professor Countryman always came to class in an energetic mood and ready to teach us. The class was mainly labs so it is important that you attend class, otherwise it is difficult to make up. She gives you many good tips as a teacher and wants you to be successful. The only negative would be that she sometimes assigns what I'd call "busy work."

This professor is funny. However, she can be unorganized and allover the place, but she is one of the sweetest ladies I have met. Barely any homework and if there is some it is short and easy. Tests are fair. You should do just fine in this class if you take it with her. I recommend her to anyone who likes outgoing professors. She is unique.

Great professor, each class usually includes a lab of some sort so missing class would not be a good idea. She is very personable and willing to answer any questions you may have on assignments. She does assign kind of a lot of assignments at once but they are not extremely difficult. Would definitely recommend.

I took her class with a lab section. We only met twice a week for over 2 hours each day. She made the time fly, and it never felt like the class drug on. She is a great science professor and has labs that we can use in our future classrooms. Very applicable.

Professor Countryman is the most caring and thoughtful professor you'll have at UNI. She truly wants her students to succeed and she does a great job connecting and forming relationships with her class. There is a good amount of reading, but the textbook is provided for free online. Her tests are usually online and you're given plenty of time.

The test are all online, sometimes what is on the test we didn't talk about. Otherwise take this class, super easy, just show up and you'll do fine.

Dr. Countryman is very caring and one of my favorite professors on campus. She truly cares about her students. You do need to go to class as there are a lot of in class activities that cannot be made up. Almost all test are online, taken out of class. Before this class I really struggled with science and didn't enjoy it at all, now I love science!

Definitely recommend taking any class taught by her! Very caring of her students both in school and personally. All the tests were online except for on which was the final. Lots of in class activities that are graded but the activities are pretty easy.

If you have the option to take a class with Dr. Countryman DO IT. She is AMAZING she really cares about all of her students and her class is actually fun. All of your quizzes are out of class and online which makes them super nice to get done, and she is always linking what we did in class to what we can do when we have our own class.

Lyn is one of my FAVORITE profs at UNI. She is so sweet and caring-- she usually takes the class to lunch at her house but it rained so she bought us all Chats! As far as class goes, tests and final are online and a breeze. Labs are lots of fun, reading assignments are helpful but not necessary to do. Take this class with her!!

Favorite prof ever. She makes you work for your grade, but only because she deeply cares about your success and that you learn the material well enough to teach it to students in the future. She is knowledgable but also extremely wise, so she is able to relate the content back to you. She gives a lot of examples and lessons are very hands-on.

If you get the chance take Dr. Countryman!! One of the best professors at UNI! Class was very easy and entertaining. All the tests are online except one, and they are all very easy to pass. You will have about a lab a week, but Dr. Countryman makes them very fun to do. She definitely cares about her students, and even bought us all coffee one day.

I took this class as an 8am it was just over two hours long and often hard to sit through. Dr. Countryman knows the material well and the tests are online so open note. Be prepared to study for the tests though; they are not easy and are timed so you can't think about a question too long; also you can't go back and change answers. Good class though

The textbook is provided so you don't have to go to the book store. I love this professor because she actually answers the questions. Also, if you have a question about your grade she will help and try to fix the grading mistakes from labs. Labs are easy A's due to it is online virtual off of McGraw-Hill. This year, Fall 2020, it was a hybrid.

Dr. Countryman is an amazing professor! Lots of things that you need to do outside of class such as look over PowerPoints and watch videos. This class is designed for education students. A lot of the activities you do are things you can do with students K-6. Her exams are a little difficult as there are many things on there you do not learn about.

This was my favorite class of my first semester and I'm so lucky to have had such an amazing teacher! I haven't always been a huge fan of science, but Dr. Countryman connected with you and always made class super fun! She cares about helping you succeed if you are willing to put in the work. Class discussions are helpful, so come to class!

Lyn was my favorite professor so far here at UNI. Tests are online, lots of labs but they're easy, and she always cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Didn't really use the textbook much. Attendance is graded but I never wanted to skip because her class was so fun. Definitely recommend Lyn!
